“DOES IT HURT..?” SAPP

Bugi Wijaya says that On July 7th Malaysiakini portal http://www.malaysiakini.com/news/85713 reported that SAPP was still under BN.On July 30th SAPP sent in the party’s reply to their show cause letter to the Barisan National Supreme Council. However todays meeting put back the decision in order to concentrate on the Permatang Puah by election with the nomination date scheduled for August 16th and polling dates on August 26th. 

SAPP President Yong Teck Lee in his statement,”said that the coalition has put political interests above that of the people of Sabah. What is it so complicated that the Barisan needs to study in detail.?” This whole standoff could have been avoided if SAPP drops its stand of no confidence in the Prime Minister Abdullah Badawi and also eight demands which are:

• That the government should be based on good governance and civil society and non-racial politics
• That Sabah shall have political autonomy, in which the state government will be formed and run by Sabahans
• Oil royalty amounting to 20 percent are given to all oil-producing states
• The return of Labuan, presently a federal territory, to Sabah
• The review of all unfair and imprudent federal laws that have been extended to Sabah
• A just and fair participation of Sabahans in the federal administration, civil service and private sector, with federal departments in the state headed by locals
• The immediate solution to the illegal immigrants’ problems in the state, and
• To redress the economic and social imbalances affecting Sabah and other states

It will just be a matter of time before SAPP fate is sealed and for now, BN has still got SAPP’s wings clipped right where they want but not severed just yet. It’s a very strong political message,”We will deal with you later.“( like a father saying to the son ) as for now we have more pressing matters to entertained. Your call again….Sharkman..!!
