“Pakatan4 Vs BN 4 Breaking Up..!!”

Its turn out to be all DOOM and GLOOM for Pakatan 4.

 Its all good news to BN4 as Barisan Sarawak will be taking on local SNAP and the Peninsular Parties in PKR,DAP and PAS. Advantage to BN and you will see many ‘happy faces” amongst the BN leaders and supporters. It will make their campaigning so much meaningful and of course the tag line would be similar to the Lubok Antu Parliamentary Election.

IT has become a wild wild west for the Pakatan 4 and BN 4 will just avoid getting involved but quietly getting on with their own work by putting ” WINNABLE CANDIDATES ” 

BN believes in RAKYAT DIDAHULUKAN and their supporters are now whistling to the tune of the Barisan Song as Pakatan 4 is breaking up and cracking everywhere at its seams and bottom.

Even rumours of PKR See Chee How Information chief is circling around that he is joining ‘SNAP” to put credence to this breakup in the coalition Pakatan 4. Well,we are indeed living in interesting times …..

The Fires are Raging and tempers have reached Boiling points in the Pakatan camp….

PKR Stampin Chief See Chee How gives way…”

Party lines and discipline remains very much in PKR See Chee Hows vocalbury and he believes in the politics of agreement instead of the confrontational stance. In a telephone interview he told audie61 that he is giving way to DAP to keep the spirit of the opposition alive and if DAP feels that they can topple and win the seat he will abide by the Central and State leadership election committee.

If everyone squabbles and are unreasonable it will be “free for all” against the BN coalition. Of course he says keeping his next move very much guarded meaning that he will be offered another seat but just saying,” When one door closes the other will open.”

We will still see Chee How the PKR Sarawak Information Chief contesting in this 10th state elections. See Chee how said,” its another lady taking on the might of SUPP in Batu Kawah” She might also do what Violet Yong did in 2006 that is being a giant killer when she beat Sim Kheng Hui, who was the state assemblyman for Pending since the state election in 1991 and was the Assistant Minister of Culture and Urbanisation, with a majority of 4,372 votes.

This time its Christina Chiew a 26 year old and an engineer who works for an industrial company at Muara Tabuan and is also a Special Assistant to State Assemblywoman for Pending, Violet Yong.

She will be taking on an Assistant Minister in the Chief Ministers office Tan Joo Pooi 59 year old who holds a diploma in management from the university of technology Australia. In 2006 Tan a newcomer then locked horns with PKR Wong Huan Yu and comfortably defeated his opponent in this semi urban constituency of nearly 16327 voters. 

Christina will be eyeing to follow the footsteps of her master in Violet and she will certainly be given some lessons on how “to win over the voters” Will she be allowed to do that? Its up to Tan Joo Pooi to stop her from making any headway. The BN team in Batu Kawah will have their hands full and it will be up to the coalition to assist Tan.

If there are any cracks within the BN coalition Christina will set her sights on capitalising on the weaknesses.Its up to Tan and his team to safeguard this safe BN bastion. We will know by 16th of april whether Christina will be victorious or crushed.

 Tan must work hard as Chee How has already been shown the door by DAP Christina…

“Anwar in Sarawak on the 30th”

Apa dia buat disini..? Sumber berkata Anwar cari Jam Omega di Serikin…hahaha

It seems that Anwar will be in Kuching on the 30th of March to announce some of the candidates and the number is Taibs Favourite No which is 9. Besides that he will be giving to the candidates “$900,000.. each”  to wrestle this 9 winnable seats.

 Is this the carrot to tempt the PKR candidate for shopping..?? Will BN candidates be tempted..? Surely, someone must be just pushing up the numbers of ringgit available as Baru Bian on the other hand seems to be asking for donation. 

 Baru Bian must have been too tired to wait for the $$$$$$ from PKR Headquaters or the financiers and thats why he is quietly looking at alternatives for funding the Sarawak elections.

Goes to show that in desperate times people might use other measures to find solutions and answers. Wow..!! Any takers for Anwars $900 K..??   

Surely the BN will not be fooled by the offer on the table if there is any. What else will they come up with next.?  By the way for those who dont know where Serikin is please “google’ it up.

The press will have a field day on the 30th and the political boys from BN will be watching and having their ears on the ground. 

Anwar should have just come on the 1st of April shouldn’t he..??

SUPP ‘An Advantage Certainly on the Menu”

The calls were loud and clear amongst the Chinese community that they were very unhappy with the SUPP leadership and it was shown at the last parliamentary elections in Sibu. However,the government of the day and the SUPP top leadership and the grassroots have been working extremely hard to win back the support. A lot of good work has been put in by their leaders to put it right and their ears and eyes are very much on the ground now. DAP supporters have even boasted that this election might signal an end to the party of ‘towkays” 

The Chinese community are watching the sandiwara played out by PKR/DAP.Azmin Ali Deputy president of PKR knows that when there is infighting amongst themselves they will stand not a ghosts of a chance  against BN. Does he need to be reminded that he mentioned it at Grand Continental Hotel in Kuching. BN will not be over excited but will love that advantage on the menu.

 It will not be known just yet as nomination day is on the 6th and BN especially SUPP will not want to have their pants caught undone and on fire. Are their strategists and scouts looking at the movements of DAP representatives being moved from one constituency to another? The DAP top boys are looking at safer seats than usual to pull through knowing very well SUPP have indeed done their homework. Two can play the same game but who will come on top depends on the parties involved. BN will quietly go on with their work and preparing their candidates for the nomination day.

As much as we want to write more this image sent to me by an upcoming Youth member incharge  of publicity for the elections does show that the time is about right for SUPP. Many will still say..No way but always expect the unexpected in politics.

PKR-DAP “Bang Bang..Lets Shoot ourselves”

The much touted Pakatan alliances are cracking at the seams and this statement which was released doesn’t offer much help either. At least BN are not seen or has a hand of ‘some sort” or “any” involved in Pakatan seats allocation.  

Bang ! Bang ! Chong Chieng Jen Kota Sentosa Assemblyman said  “I think there is a limit to DAP making concessions for the sake of Pakatan. We cannot be reduced to a negligible party…

“I think that if there is such a demand, it should be reasonable. We give them an inch, but they want a foot. “As a result of such a demand, the negotiations have broken down,”

This is worse though and its really shooting at each other.”Sarawak PKR had made its position very clear that it had no authority to negotiate seats as the real power lay  with the PKR central committee, which made decisions. ”

According to a PKR source he said the clearer picture should be obtained by those who were at the negotiation table and that being from DAP in Lim Kit Siang,Richard Wong and Chris Tan while PKR were led by Azmin Ali,Zubaidah and Tian Chua.

The official stand from PKR Sarawak from See Chee How Sarawak  Information Chief is that,”The talks have not broken down and the PR Sarawak is not breaking up. There are some finer details to be ironed out still and both parties agree to negotiate further. We will be together and facing the BN.”   

It seems that Chong has pulled the trigger a wee… bit too soon. Could he be eating his own words up when asked during nomination day by the press..?? Wonder what he will say then..This might just help…

Bang..! Bang..! Bang..!

Religious Freedom-“Terima Kasih Tuhan”

The banner explains it all. There were thousands of Christians who were present at the rally and both sides of the political divide were very well represented. Even one of the ministers said,”no matter where we are from and who we are,lets all pray for religious freedom.”

There was also prayers for a peaceful and trouble free elections and for those first timers it does bring out the ‘person in you” as the spirit of the occasion is overwhelming. 

Literally you could even hear the crowd calling upon the Creator to ensure that the Sarawak State elections be conducted fairly and  also that bigots,religious extremists and haters do not use faith against each other.

The bible issue was brought up but it was under control eventhough there were signs of dissatisfaction and uneasiness amongst the people present here tonight. One religious minister said,” They are good people in the government but once they become too difficult they are devils in disguise and they need to be removed.”The crowd cheered and roared in approval.

The night pasts with whispers in the corridor telling us that “We Malaysians and especially Sarawakians are peaceful people and we must not compromise with those who disrespect ‘the bible”

On stage tonight one of the Iban pastor captivated many when he led the crowd in saying,”Alleluia,Terima Kasih Tuhan not once but a number of times and tears literally flowed from many of those present”

It was a night shared by many as very moving and an occasion where everyone prayed for religious freedom.

Sarawak Polls 16th April

The EC Chairman today announced that the Polling day for Sarawak 10th Election would be on the April 16th.

Nomination is fixed for the 6th of April.  This means that there will be a 11-day campaigning period up to midnight on April 15.

All parties involved from both sides of the political divide are all ready and will be making known their candidates in due course.

With the electoral rolls updated up to Dec 31 last year, there are 979,796 eligible voters.

The last state election was held on May 20, 2006.

BN Kalah”Over My Dead Body”

In an angry tone and pointing his fingers at the report which appeared at one of the internet portal PBB Youth Vice Chairman Pandi Suhaili chatised the so-called report and in one of his strongest offensive statement to date said,”BN Kalah”over my dead body” as the figures from the imaginary or ‘secret’ polls were seemingly meant to discredit the Chief Minister and his leadership.

What was more glaring was that it was carried out by the information department and this in turn has terrifed both Putrajaya and the ruling household in Petrajaya.

 Why,Who and Whose orders was this made public to the internet portal? 

Whats more is that the anti BN blog “sarawak report ” cashed in by saying “that this was the reason for the unprecedented appearance of Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak and his deputy Muhyiddin Yassin in Kuching last weekend.”

According to the report, both leaders came to Kuching to force Taib to step down.“I have seen them (the results) with my own eyes. In this election, Najib and Muhyiddin know that it is inevitable that Taib will lose.

“He is finished… the results from BN’s secret polls is devastating. Najib and Muhyiddin came down to tell Taib there is not going to to be anymore compromises,” said an insider.

It seems the spin on this story is being done to discredit not only the CM but also halting the ‘feel good factor” and the momentum of the BN as it prepares to face the opposition.

The Pakatan cybertroopers are already entrenched in their foxholes and they are training their guns towards the BN Unit media. BN losts the war in 2008   GE and the guns of the Pakatan are all geared up to fight and slug it out to win the blogsphere. CM Taib and his BN candidates needs all the necessary help they can muster .

Ground zero does not look too good according to PRS president when he was quoted to say,”PRS was aware of the powerful influence of the alternative media, adding that the party was reaching out to the IT-savvy Dayaks to to counter the negative propaganda against Barisan leaders.

He continued,”The alternative media is a very powerful tool. It nearly caused the collapse of the Federal Government during the last general election. We should never underestimate the powers of the alternative media.”

An SPDP SC member was very upset and he did not mince his words,”We in SPDP are all ready.What secret poll.??This state election is about the people of Sarawak mandate and they will know who to choose. They know who to choose and BN government after 47 years doesn’t suddenly become a bad government does it.?

SUPP Youth Chief (BN Batu Lintang likely candidate) Sih Hua Tong was equally not too happy with the secret polls. He said,”Where are the figures and datas for all to see and its only speculative by the portal.

 We in BN/SUPP have not stop working for the people of Sarawak and we will continue to ensure that SUPP will remain close to the hearts of the people. The people will not abandon BN and the report of “90% of its current votes, amounting to 10 out of its 12 seats has been made to give the opposition all the more reasons to attack SUPP. We are ready and we will give them a good fight and will not justs believe in the speculations. We believe in statistics and figures and we have done our homework.

According to an opposition supporter he says that the BN leaders are indeed not too comfortable with this report and are blaming the portal for stirring up the speculative nature of this article. This will make them(BN) more ready and it might just have a backlash on the Sarawak opposition parties.

Very Soon we will know who rules right…!!

DAP Endorsing BN Project in Sarawak..??”

We received a call from our man on the ground in N10 and he said that please see what has been written. audie61 thought that this is just impossible. However looking at the photograph attached it will say more than a thousand words.

This is a photograph of a Barisan National initiated project in the Kenyalang Park area. DAP has fully endorsed this project by incorporating their Rocket logo below the 1 Malaysia and Barisan National logo on the sign board.

Where DAP norm is to protest against BN, regardless of it’s merits, for the sake of publicity, this time round, they have come out strongly and supported this Government project at Lorong Dato Bandar 2, Kenyalang Park.

A number of residents came out to meet us when we were in the area and informed us that they see a change in the political climate, where DAP is starting to support the BN government in  local developmental projects. The residents view that this maybe due to the new and strongly supported BN candidate for the area, Prof  Dr Sim Kui Hian. The residents also stated that an amicable understanding and acceptance of Dr Sim by the opposition will be very beneficial to the residents of Kenyalang. “ How often do you see a BN Dacing and DAP Rocket side by side endorsing a BN Government project. Only In Sarawak.” This is the general feedback from the residents in the area.

Some of the residents did voice a bit of dissapointment, in that,  they had to wait for 5 years before the project was initiated, but never the less, very happy that the construction works have begun. Many residents view that this project might have been initiated by the new BN candidate in the area.

 

 

N10 DAP Lawyer vs BN Doctor…

Violet Yong a lawyer by profession dealt a bitter blow and a nail in the heart of SUPP in the 2006 Sarawak Elections. Her win by defeating the SG of SUPP and also an Assistant Minister by 4372 was indeed a devastating blow. Pending was considered one of the stronghold for SUPP and no one would give her a ghosts of a chance to defeat  Sim Kheng Hui in a predominantly Chinese area of 29503.  She was on top of the slide but since then has her win put her in a position of over confidence?

Will you still hear the words,”Boh Soo’ (no problem) from the opposition supporters as they try to protect their fort..?? SUPP will “chiong”(attack) DAP Pending Incumbent .

 Will she slide down and come down to earth and SUPP regains back Pending. We will know soon wouldn’t we..??

The voter turnout was 18986 and the DAP lawyer garnered 11632 while Sim managed 7260. The main issue during the 2006 campaign was the land rental premium plus some minor dissatisfaction led to SUPP paying the price and losing this bastion N10.

N10 Assemblywoman Incumbent Violet knows that she will face a tough opponent in Dr. Sim Kui Hian (the head of Sarawak General Hospital cardiac unit head) The PM has even endorsed his candidacy making it official for SUPP that “the people must not sacrifice this illustrious son,you must make him win.”

CM Taib aslo gave him his endorsement by saying,”He is a recognised specialist not only in Malaysia but also internationally.He is a good man to be your representative and you will not be ashamed of him.”

A political observer says that”Dr Sim comes with a clean slate and SUPP has given the Pending voters a highly promising and a candidate with excellent track record to win back the seat. DAP Yong the incumbent will feel the pinch and she will have a difficult time protecting her turf.

N10 BN component parties are all ready to assist the SUPP candidate and DAP will not know what hit her. She will be left licking her wounds and the good doctor will provide enough medicine for her to ease her pain. It’s pay back time…… 

SUPP AND DAP KNOWS THIS WILL BE A TOUGH FIGHT AND ONLY ONE WILL COME OUT VICTORIOUS……
