Hishammuddin….The Journey.

Contributors:- Angus & Natassha continues on Series 3

Born on 5 August 1961, Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein has all the hallmarks of a potential Prime Minister.

That he has successfully steered away from the current controversies and is safe (at least for now) from darts, arrows and missiles and has not been embroiled in ongoing raging issues shows he has truly come of age as a Malaysian politician.

His portfolios have been nothing but impressive and all have given him the edge over other contenders to take over the helm of government should there be a change of leadership.

His journey to the top (or almost at the top) has been marked by an astounding record of achievement.

Currently, he is Minister of Defence of Malaysia, a portfolio he has been holding since 16 May 2013.

Datuk Seri Hishammuddin was Minister of Home Affairs from 2009 to 2013.

For five years, he was the Minister of Education  from 2004–2009.

Prior to that position, he served as Minister of Youth and Sport (1999–2004).

As acting Minister of Transport (2013–2014), Datuk Seri Hishamuddin achieved international prominence in March 2014, as the minister responsible for investigating the disappearance of Malaysia Airlines Flight 370.

His eloquence when contending with questions from international press, his composure when all else seemed to be falling apart, his compassion when dealing with bereaved families left a lasting imprint in the hearts of all who the brilliant manner in which he handled the challenging post-MH 370 scenario.

In terms of organizational structure, as one of the party’s three vice-presidents and former chief of the party’s youth wing from 1998 to 2009, Datuk Seri Hishamuddin is definitely a man of substance within UMNO.

Notwithstanding, he is also the son of Malaysia’s third prime minister, Hussein Onn, and the cousin of the sixth and current prime minister, Najib Razak. His mother, Suhaila Noah, was from an illustrious family and his great-grandmother (mother of Hussein Onn), was a Circassian from Turkey.

With such an impressive background in bloodline and experience, there seems to be only one spot in his record book – the kris waving incident at the 2005 UMNO convention. Through time, it appears this has not been a setback in his political career as he has come forth stronger than before.

When Mahathir made the announcement of his retirement Hishammuddin was pacifying Tun with Rafidah n others. Does this not show he is a favoured one?

angusHe even visited Taib Mahmud and when he went back to peninsular he was down with heart problems. Does this also mean that he is not destined?

Najib does not want Hishammuddin to be in front yet or else he too will be brought down.

Yet, the question remains. Why is Najib keeping Hishamuddin in the shadows?

As a dark horse, given the experience and breeding he has, Hishamuddin may just race to the
front and overtake all other contenders to the PM’s position.

We will have to wait and see.

Pakatan Sabah Spinning Out of Control..??

bugi wijayaThe News is Out..!! 2 times DAP candidate for N19 Kepayan State Seat Stephen Jimbangan has joined UPKO. Bugi Wijay has filed this report in and he says “it looks like Pakatan grip on Sabah is slowly spinning out of Control.

It is a known fact that Jimbangan is the clear favourite to be retained by PR to contest the state seat again but in a twist of manouvering DAP  circles have indicated to us that Dr.Edwin Bosi who was a former PKR member has joined DAP.

IT’S A REAL MERRY-GO-AROUND for PR candidates in Sabah says the source. Even PKR local candidates in Kepayan like Dr.Roland Chia a practising dentist was very unhappy with the current developments.

N19 which is part of P174 Penampang Parliament seat has been represented by 61 year old Khoo Keok Hai for the past two terms. The MP who is not internet savvy will need to rely heavily on ground sentiments to be retained. Many of his MP colleagues have advised him to use the FB,twitters, smses (all internet tools) to dispel negativeness on him as they enter the crucial part of campaign.

Will he listen or will he be caught offguard by PKR/DAP or SAPP?

The ground sources have speculated that this seat will see a three cornered fight between BN’s incumbent Edward Khoo,DAP or PKR candidate and SAPP information Chief Chong Pit Fah.

Who wins will determine how they embrace the social media and for the incumbent to just brush aside the importance of this media he better have answers when the final tally is counted.

Many are pushing Khoo not to use the same methods of campaigning as it will backfire.

Anwar ” JANGAN BO-HONG LAGI “

On September 9th 2008 we wrote “Anwar-Now 916 Bo-HONG” I remember when we looked back telling the Legal Advisor of PKR Sarawak in 2008 See Chee How now a YB, his boss would love to tell me in person” looking in my eyes and say,” Audie do you believe me now.

So much have happened from that date and even Abdullah Badawi has handed the baton to Najib as PM of Malaysia. Anwars dreams and aspirations were WASHED AWAY on that fateful date of 916.

He has been jostling with 916 until now and must have had many sleepless nights. But what really caught my attention going through “BN Bloggers Blogs ( I say we musts read our own too hmmm)was this heading:-Anwar Airlines: Now Every Liar can Fly!

The introduction was a masterpiece though we feel there was a spelling mistake..Ooops!  didn’t mean it my friend..{Not enough with fancy bus, Pakatan Rakyat is now showing their private jet to  ‘get sloser’ to rakyat} Is it closer..??

Anwar also a LIAR or shall we say BO-HONG. someone out there might just correct me on that later. 916 seems to be following Anwar up and down and for reasons only he knows has caught himself in another Web of Controversy.

WAH! TRAVELLING TO SARAWAK SABAH TO CAMPAIGN AND BE WITH HIS PEOPLE…which even his daughter Nurul Izzah tweeted “”wht’s d issue w a jet trip loaned by a friend? Aint ours, aint public funds.

So very defensive and edgy with the tweet Nurul and seems that there is but a twist to the whole Anwar Airlines as mentioned by the blog as he rightly pointed out:-( BN leaders would be given budget with facilities provided by the government, and  they would not use their own personal fund. Even the Prime Minister could not go  that length.){ http://www.pisau.net/}

GOSH! 916 was a clever ploy and a GREAT PROPAGANDA many said but with the heading now by the blogger Anwar Airlines: Now every LIAR can fly! It has certainly made Anwar a Liability to realise Pakatans goal of reaching PUTRAJAYA.

DAP and PAS should seriously say ANWAR “JANGAN BO-HONG LAGI” translated to Hockien hopefully no one will give me an earful { DONT NO WIND NO MORE} English- {DON’T LIE ANYMORE}

4 YEARS AGO (916) AND NOW THIS HAPPENS…

PBB”Living on Borrowed time”

Lets start with this shall we…..

When YOU were born what did you do first? Cry and kicked a fussed while others surrounding YOU are so happy to see a healthy baby and are delighted that you are in the world. But to You its not such a great feeling as you are being taken from the only home YOU have known for the past 9(nine) months.

The feeling of ecstasy for some while others are dreading the day that they are born. But one thing mosts of us leaving our HOME have gone through one hell of a journey and everyday we are living on borrowed time.

You might be wondering why I am using a baby as an example to this article. Simple last night I seem to have been given this tasks through an extraordinary “dream” that the CM Taib is asking me to give him a helping hand to FREE HIM FROM ALL THE OCTOPUS HANDS that is squeezing the daylights out of him. He looked so innocent but yet his cries of help are justs not answered and someone is controlling him to the maximum.

PBB has been his life and PBB now is also facing an enemy from outside greater than the party can handle. CM Taib has nurtured PBB through many elections and in 2010 he had a landmark score of leading 35 wins out of 35 seats contested. Still they are outcries for him to step down as the people has had enough of him especially with the increase of total numbers voting for the opposition.

PBB as long as he is in charge will not tolerate DISSENSION amongst party ranks and file. Lately though the succession to his rule have thrown many offguard and there are many amongst the second echelon leaders putting a stamp to be noticed by the leader to be.

PBB will not just let Taib go without a last hurrah. Could he still be leading PBB and BN Sarawak in the GE13? Taib was elected into parliament in 1967 and became chief minister in 1981. In 2006, he expressed his desire to step down due to ill health, but was prevented from doing so by party members. PBB knows very well that they are Living on Borrowed time.

So the real culprits of ‘shaking the tree” within PBB musts not happen as some very influential leaders feel Taib to them is a leader with mega touch for them to enrich themselves. Taib is crying from within but his generals just refused to budge eventhough the UMNO pressure is incessant.

One would remember these words from UMNO SG and BN SG Tengku Adnan”There is no pressure from our side, but we’ll accept it if he wants to go. Maybe he’s been in power for too long. But overall its not his rule but this  courting increasing bad press over the wealth accrued by his family which has made to the following portal www.sarawakreport.org and worse still with this being mentioned which is ridiculously surreal http://hasutfitnahcuri.blogspot.com/2012/02/tightening-noose-of-control-on-beloved.html

It goes back to many articles being written on Taib giving way to his successor but so far it has not materialised. We wrote earlier the Sarawak trilogy Road to 22nd Floor and this first article here might shed some light.https://audie61.wordpress.com/2011/07/26/sarawak-trilogy-road-to-22nd-floor-part-1-dayaks/

However in recent months the ante have gone up more than one notch with the following bloggers and articles surfacing in which it have given bad light to PBB.Now its not about two component parties in the State BN coalition being unhappy but 3(three) If the bloggers are just spinning it would not have made front page news and ruffling many feathers.

Certainly its been a big headache for the Federal and state BN leaders. The Opposition parties are watching and waiting for the “right moments”to see off Taib and his merry man. In recent weeks the writers and bloggers are getting more daing with the articles that they churned out.

A former PRS Supreme council member and also a candidate who took on Taibs right hand General Alfred jabu wrote in his blog “Sarawak politcs of belittling” in which the 3 parties were mentioned being very unhappy with the present arrangements. PBB knows it is on borrowed time when another hardhitting blog wrote “Wong Soon Koh and Rimbunan Hijau di tewas” which basically means that Federal controlled ROS  is not in favour of PBB Taibs anointed President.

Cry Taib, will have to as his tears are now overflowing towards his own second echelon leaders who leave no stones unturned. This article is not only pushing the sword further into the chests of PBB but one Taib could do without.

The attack on MP and Deputy Speaker Wan Junaidi and his PS comes as a surprise asit involves a surau construction. This is making news and PBB would rather it kept in wraps and do an internal investigation. However it has made into the main stream media and a blogger who is closely associated with the deputy speaker is not to amused. He has come out breathing fire,’ http://www.theunreportednews.blogspot.com/2012/02/surat-layang-two-wans-please-do-your.html and moreover he headlined it as “NEXT TIME, HAVE THE COURTESY TO AT LEAST CHECK YOUR DETAILS BEFORE STARTING UP RUMOURS.’

PBB is very much like a Reddened BOIL ( A boil is a localized infection in the skin that generally starts as a reddened, tender area. Over time, the area becomes firm, hard, and tender. Eventually, the center of the boil softens and becomes filled with infection-fighting white blood cells from the bloodstream to eradicate the infection)

The Hidden hands which are involved in the earlier PRS infighting,SPDP5 sacking and SUPP TDC groupings does point to the overzealous personnels involved in the succession 22nd Floor office. They are going all out to divide and rule and pick the strongest that remains who will eventually be part of the team. Its a ruthless way of moving on up but there are little choices available.

If Taib does want out he would have done it a year ago when he first mentioned it but nearly 12months have come and gone but still he remains. Is the crying of Taib in my dream for real or is it a make believe illusion by someone to get into my head and yours?

Even a political analyst Dr.Jeneri does not believe 100% on the ABU9 he himself knows that PBB is really living on borrowed time as the grounds are really shifting and many YBs are justs looking over their shoulders to ensure that they will remain relevant.

The grassroots of PRS,SPDP and SUPP must not be taken forgranted and they are the ones who holds the respective parties together. Though SUPP have losts mosts of the edge especially amongst the Chinese areas but it might justs make a comeback if one of the obstacles are removed.

Of course Taib holds grudges and who wouldn’t when ‘words reached his ears” that certain SUPP leaders spoke so vociferously and loudly at the Palace of the Golden Horses Hotel in K.L.before the elections were called.

Taib will not want to leave behind a battered PBB but an intact PBB. He knows he doesn’t have time on his side as he is not getting any younger. He need to put PBB in the hands that will ensure that it will remain relevant or outside forces will eventually surround the party and even try to close it down very much like USNO of Sabah.

Even PKR Sarawak SG in a posting said this ABU for PBB2 which he musts have read from this portal ABU? Betul ke? Taib knows he holds the key to BN rule in the next GE13 and BN winning 25 out of 31 seats is not a Herculean tasks for the man who has led Sarawak for more than 30 years.

He might be crying to unshackle the chains of FREEDOM in my dream but BN is hoping that he carries them towards another 5 year new mandate. The infighting or the interference of Hidden Hands have to stop now or it will be a little too late. When YOU are cornered you will surely fight back wouldn’t you.? The unbecoming attitudes of some hardliners within the PBB group needs to redesign their modus operandi or their NEW ALMIGHTY LEADER will not even be able to smell the ambience of the 22nd Floor let alone sit in the coveted chair.

PBB does not want to live on borrowed time but the actions of a few have open the Pandora box.

GE13 “Sarawak 16 seats Sabah 12 seats”

This article mentioned more or less ” Umno’s in trouble in Selangor” but what was significant especially if its alter ego of Tun Daim Zainudin there will be trouble.

Who is this man to predict ,‘BN could lose 16 parliamentary seats in Sarawak and 12 in Sabah – eight of which will be from Umno.”

Are you in agreement with him.?

This is what was is written about the man himself,”Tun Daim is a dangerous seer. In 2008, he predicted the loss of BN in 5 states. The UMNO generals were up in arms. They vilified him, describing him with all sorts of disrespectful terms. Daim is a pensioner. Daim is out of touch. Daim is irrelevant. When the results came, what Daim predicted was generally true.

31 seats Sarawak losing 16 and Sabah 25 seats losing 12. Statistically both states only have 50% support for the BN seats and whoever directed the man to predict this musts have something up his sleeve. Will the ruling political government be worried?

Forgive my ignorance but mosts political observers justs cannot see where in Sarawak the seats are going to be won by the Pakatan group.16 is a tall order and the parliamentary seats are not exactly urban seats. Sabah likewise and even if there are infighting within the UMNO ranks it justs doesn’t add up. 2008 both states losts 1 each and now in the upcoming elections it is such a significant and dramatic increase with 28 seats.

A political pundit said the worst case scenario would be only a dozen seats losts in Sarawak and Sabah. Anything more would be very disastrous for BN and 28 seats will mean Pakatan will be the ruling government after GE13.

Bung Mokhtar “Thanks Give it to ’em..!!”

Sabah BN MP Bung Mokhtar Radin is at the moment our closest ally in the fight of Air Asia and Malaysia Airlines share swap. We have also been receiving feedbacks from members of public that BN Sarawak and Sabah are being shortchanged? Why is that Federal BN ignoring the pleas of Sarawakians and Sabahans by cancelling the Firefly sector and giving it to a Pakatan State in Penang. KL-Penang Sector….Did we get that correct..!

Questionable isn’t it?

This blogger who was hit very drastically and also a “villager aka orang kampung” which Bung must be informed was hit very hard by Air Asia. Moreover Bung also musts have found it difficult to get a plane out from Sabah thats why he is taking it an opportunity to “bising”{make noise}

Bung said this we extract from the internet blog,”Bung Mokhtar also said the government should “not be scared of Fernandes Whatever he wants, we give. He wants to overcharge for excess baggage and suck the blood of poor villagers.HAHAHA ..Good One and we are pretty sure if elections is called now you will win HANDS DOWN.

Also someone must have notified him of our article on October 16th covered the “Air Asia Monopoly -Blogger Hit..!!” It was posted in Facebook, twitter and the whole cyber team associated with us make a huge effort to let everyone know. However Air Asia management justs kept quiet.

THANKS MP BUNG.. MWUAH! MWUAH!

This is the extracted version from the internet portal

Umno lawmakers accused Tan Sri Azman Mokhtar and Tan Sri Tony  Fernandes today of cheating the public in the Malaysia Airlines (MAS)  and AirAsia share swap.

Kinabatangan MP Datuk Bung Mokhtar Radin called on Khazanah chief  executive Azman to be investigated by graftbusters after the state  investment agency exchanged 20.5 per cent of the national carrier for a  10 per cent stake in Asia’s top-performing budget airline.

“The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) must call Tan Sri  Azman … all of them … if there is any misappropriation, stuff them  into jail,” the Barisan Nasional (BN) backbenchers deputy chief told  Parliament.

“How  can Khazanah be fooled? Azman Mokhtar, how can he be so stupid, to be  ‘tuned’ by Tony Fernandes. If I was in such a position, I would resign  rather than troubling others.

“Maybe they are not stupid. Maybe they get huge profits by squeezing  and grabbing money from the public,” he said, referring to the AirAsia  CEO’s company Tune Air which now owns a fifth of MAS.

Sri Gading MP: AirAsia cheating the public

Sri Gading MP Mohamad Aziz also accused AirAsia of “clearly cheating the public and now trying to cheat MAS.”

“If this kind of man (Fernandes) can control us, God forgive us,” he said while debating Budget 2012.

Bung Mokhtar also said the government should “not be scared of Fernandes.”

“Whatever he wants, we give. He wants to overcharge for excess baggage and suck the blood of poor villagers.

“Now I hear he has a plan in the future to take over all domestic  flights and MAS will only have international flights. If we give this to  him, the country will be in ruins. It will be the end of the world for  us,” he said.

Bung said if the government could not provide a satisfactory answer,  it meant that “government officials colluded with AirAsia and has vested  interests.”

But Najib says: We have no choice!

The MAS-AirAsia swap has come under fire from both sides of the  political divide as well as employees of MAS who believe the deal will  affect their careers.

The finance ministry said earlier this month that the deal is being  investigated by Bursa Malaysia and the Securities Commission for insider  trading despite the swap being agreed on three months ago.

MAS’s poor financial performance of late had resulted in the share swap with AirAsia on August 9.

This allowed AirAsia boss Fernandes to sit on the MAS board, ostensibly to help turn the ailing airline around.

MAS had announced in August a net loss of RM527 million for the  second quarter of 2011 due to higher fuel costs despite recording a  better yield and a nine per cent growth in passenger revenue from the  same period last year.

This brings total losses in the first half of the year to RM769  million even as the airline said that profit outlook for the second half  of the year appears bleak.

Putrajaya insisted last month it had “no choice” but to implement the  controversial share swap as “if (MAS) continues to make losses and the  government has to inject funds, then there will be even more anger.”

Critics have accused the budget carrier’s boss of taking advantage of  the loss-making national airline to fuel his personal ambitions, the  latest being the acquisition of English Premier League club, Queens Park  Rangers (QPR).

The national carrier will sponsor QPR’s home jersey for the next two  seasons, while AirAsia’s logo will be emblazoned on the team’s away and  third kits in a “multi-million pound” deal.

Bersih 2.0 “Sabah Radio Station..??”

Has Sarawakian DJ Peter John aka Apai orang Utan left the UK based Radio Free Sarawak to be in Sabah? It is on everyones lips that he has seek greener pastures or apparently he has been”sacked” or asked to go willingly. Certainly one has to interview the man himself as our source says,” he is now in Malaysia and you can contact him.” Did we meet him..hmmm?

Well this is really getting the rumour mill up and about as last weekend Bugi Wijaya our Sabah correspondent sent us this story.

SAPP launches its alternative online radio so that listeners in Sabah will have an alternative radio (online) to provide clean, brave and truth on news and issues affecting Malaysia and Sabah in particular.  The launching with the theme Bersih, Berani, Benar is held in conjunction with BERSIH 2.0 and despite the intimidation of the police and the city hall enforcement unit.

The Radio Sabahtv.net as launched with the unveiling of the signboard at the party’s headquarters on 9th July, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. by President of SAPP, Datuk Yong Teck Lee.

The event was also participated by members of the Sabah Bersih, MCLM and UBF. UBF Chief Datuk Jeffrey Kitingan, Atama @ Andrew Ambrose Mudi, Co-ordinator Chairman for Bersih Sabah and also chairman of MCLM adhoc committee of Sabah, Ronnie Klassen of PKR also came to attend the launching.

Yong, in his opening address through a recorded radio message said the event was spurred by Bersih 2.0 call for free and fair elections so the theme for its Radio SabahTv will be “BERSIH, BERANI, BENAR”. He said SAPP supports the 8 points of Bersih 2.0 and to stop the electoral corruption by the BN government.

Earlier in the wee hours of the morning, the police tried to questioned the SAPP Youth on the launching especially on the theme with the words BERSIH and the yellow backdrop.  They backed off after the arrival of assembly woman for Luyang Melanie Chia Chui Ket and her husband Edwin Liew.

There was a strong presence of the police force during the launching which caused the local present lamenting that they are the ones creating the jam in the area.

Najib’s fixed deposit State of Sabah is under real threat and it seems that many in UMNO hierarchy are pushing for a separate State elections first before the GE13. The radio station does have a big impact on the voters mindset and if DJ Apai Orang Utan is roped in to assist the local Sabahan DJs it will certainly create more than a stir/ripple but a whirlpool of uncertainties in Sabah.

Bugi says,”Yellow is the colour now which BN/UMNO is so afraid. It was once Green(associated with PAS) Orange (Hindraf)  and also Black (Teoh Beng Hock) The time has come for BN Sabah to stand out and be counted. It is indeed high time that the internet cyber team rolls into Sabah to assist the machinery which is still living in the past era of winning the hearts and minds of the voters. The truth hurts and if Sabah BN still think they can steamrolled the opposition they just have to look back at these two dates 308 and 416.”

Sabah Radio Station will Hurt YOU..Sabahans have seen the light.

IS BN STILL WAITING TO BE DETHRONED.??

Bersih 2.0 Mania..”Sabah BN Over-Confidence..??”

BUGI WIJAYA WRITES

As the nation is gripped in the BERSIH mania, in Sabah BN is embarking on something bolder which is the increase of electricity tariff.  Bugi Wijaya of audie61 writes from Sabah and we understand that on the day of BERSIH, PATROIT and PERKASA rally on the 09.07.2011 (Saturday), an announcement will be made that the state government has agreed to the increase of electricity tariff by the Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd (SESB) to reduce the dependency on Federal Government subsidies in the tariff.

Bugi Wijaya reliability learned that a last minute dialogue session was called by the Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman with the captains of the various industries on this matter today.  However, the dialogue session turn out to be more of a pre-announcement of the tariff increased to those present.

It was believed despite being told that the increase is not a wise move business strategically and politically, the Chief Minister replied that the increase was inevitable in view of the ever increasing cost of energy productions.  To Musa’s credit, the last increase of tariff was about 25 years ago.

A quick survey on the ground shows that a lot of people believe that the state government would not allow an increase at such economical climate at the moment.  A check with other BN components parties revealed some of them were not consulted on this matter.  This was the unilateral decision of the state government as such matter are the perogative of the government and not component parties.

One leader remarked with the inconsistent supply in Sandakan that has seen blackout a frequent way of life for the local people, it would be interesting whether they can defend their strong hold seats.

Maybe this is the sign of weakness of the opposition in Sabah that the government is allow to do things at their whims and fancy.  Thus would this so call announcement be seized upon by the opposition or would it be buried among the BERSIH news or worse case scenario for BN, that is the start of the lost of BN safe deposit?

We will see soon enough.  Meanwhile, our hats off for the man in charge, for better or worse the CM’s head is on the chopping block.

WELL..YOU HAVE THE POWER IN YOUR HANDS…

Bersih 2.0 “Sabah style…!!”

Bugi Wijaya sent us this picture which was taken in front of Suria Sabah Shopping Mall at 2.00pm where some youths were seen demonstrating. Copycats not in yellow headband shows that there are in fact “police cadets” acting so that the FRU personnels will be able to handle the situation when the need arises.

There are some programmes being planned to coincide with the ‘Bersih 2.0″ in Sabah and according to our source SAPP Sabah will be cashing in on the event and the date to ensure that the people of Sabah that they are also fighting for electoral reforms. The event will be held at the party headquarters and it is reliably learnt that the FRU personnels will be at the premises on Saturday.

Bugi Wijaya was also informed that some Pakatan leaders from Sabah are already in the Federal Capital whilst the Pakatan youths are the only ones which will be around in Sabah to participate in an illegal assembly. A veteran political observer said to Bugi Wijaya” This clearly shows that the Pakatan leaders are not interested in the local issues and by leaving it to the youths it will make BN Sabah realised the 2/3rds will be achievable again when the State elections are called. It’s like the masters have called and they are succumbing and bending their knees.”

SAPP a “nyamuk” party would get the limelight in the next day papers if DAP/PKR/PAS Sabah leaders are not in Sabah. The staged demonstration shows that the Police and authorities are not taking anything lightly and they will take the necessary steps to prevent any untoward incidents from happening in the State of Sabah.

DAP “Speechless….ATHEIST OK Bah.!!”

The country’s civil servants are now taking the brunt of politicians and general public at large from trying to push their message across in terms of scholarships, race and religion.

Malaysians have grown up no doubt and while we grow up they will be many obstacles which the country will faced.  Some good laws, some obsolete laws while some needs to be revised and looked into by our parliamentarians and state legislators. 50 years for a country to put everything in order is indeed a very short time.

Not all things will be fair to the naked eye but obviously the people who implement and deliver what the policy holders deliberate must also know that there are a lot of ‘sensitive issues which must be dealt with amicably”.

Malaysia is a multi racial, multi cultural and multi religious country where Malays,Chinese,Indians,Kedazans,Ibans and other ethnic races live together and surely they will be differences but we accept that we need to live peacefully in accordance with the Federal constitution. If we move slightly away from its origin

“TROUBLE WILL ENSUE

We are not about to lecture the DAP on this issue but we need to address this issue by angling it correctly instead of politiking on it.  Yea,DAP is a political party we know and without a doubt its like scoring points 1 Up to the gallery. We all know too you are doing your job by publicising it but one must remember this is a highly sensitive issue.

Lets take up my case and see whether I make sense or not. We all were young once, brash, radical rebellious and at times uncontrollable. I do come from a staunch Catholic background and when we were young we followed everything our parents threw at us in accordance to our faith and the many no no’s which are ‘blasphemy’ if we break them. I confessed my sins every month without failed. If I did not I imagined I will be attacked by the “devil and his followers

Religious festivals, prayers were all kept in checked. Sunday Masses were a must and all attempts were made not to miss them. When the boy grew up thats me coming from overseas the boy changed to a man and started questioning. I stopped going to church on Sundays and even had a good ‘three hours session being lectured” with my uncle who was parish priest  of St Josephs at that time in 1984. He is still a Priest but now the Parish priest of Blessed Sacrement BDC in Kuching Sarawak. (you have my permission to asks him) At the end of the blistering and hard counselling I was given a chance to speak.

I said to him in front of my dad. Why should I go to Church? It doesn’t make me any holier than thou.? I also said Why was I not given a choice of religion? Why was I baptise to the faith? Then I could see the anger and the astonishment from their eyes.

My dad replied,” Oh Yeah, when you are born if we know you are going to be like that we might as well save the money spent on milk for a better purpose(Want to know the exact words. We might just as well KILL YOU or starve you and leave you for DEAD. no need to waste the duit susu  ).See whether you could be like what you are today” Today I see it. Our parents wants the bests for us. They can give us a religion to follow but in the end its up to us to CONTINUE PRACTISING IT. We have our own choices but its up to us.

As for the DAP Komtar assemblyman he is trying to do the bests for his child but it could be a genuine mistake and it also could be put right by seeing the officer in charge. We also do not know what really transpire between him and the NRD clerk on duty. Do you know what actually happen..?? Was the CCTV on??

I must say when I changed my IC earlier this year I tested the NRD lady. Of course I was cheeky and naughty and she took it. She was putting the RACE in my IC I said,” Rojak.. she said,”cannot ..how come I said mixed blood so I put Sino/Melanau.  She changed to Chinese so I took it eventhough my name had an extra name behind( ….. curious dbl click here)

{The only reason why I changed my old IC was that the immigration officer in Sabah when I entered say this is the last time we allow you to use the old IC and now we have Mycard.

I have a tendency to love to go against the system to tests it fully and I was reminded by the former Home Minister who said,”we can still use the old IC until such time it outlived its usage and will be obsolete. I remember telling the officer I am after all a Malaysian with or without a Mycard. He accepted and after trying my luck in and out of Sabah a number of times it I might just run out of LUCK and I could be turned back to Sarawak for reasons like being a ‘ bad element/hat“. So I became a good boy again. Really…!!!  :p

Next it came to Religion I put ATHEIST . { One who disbelieves or denies the existence of God or gods} She said sure or not and I said alright. She doubled checked everything before she put into the system and I asks her NICELY AND COURTEOUSLY boleh kah repeat?

I said not Atheist but a Catholic. I have a choice to lie and should even have capitalised on the system if I wanted while the little girl had no choice.Parents up and down the country will no doubt look into this matter now more seriously and carefully.

To be Speechless I don’t think so. Stand up and be Corrected.Help and assists to put it right more like it YB. We have already told you that Malaysia is still very much a young country and we need to help our civil service at times too. The laws that govern the country can be put right through the proper channels and through the Legislative houses i.e in Parliament.  The laws might be outdated and thats why you are in position to asks your colleagues in Parliament to do something about it. We told Hannah Yeoh your Selangor DAP YB too and the same goes for you.

Below:-The internet portal article which has created a STIR  but the Bersih 2.0 rally on the 9th July 2011 seems to have overshadowed it all.

More cases of rejected attempts by parents to register their children with the National Registration Department as ‘Anak Malaysia’ have poured in.

NONEThe latest case is that of Komtar assemblyperson Ng Wei Aik (right), who was dealt the same fate as his counterpart in Kuala Lumpur Hannah Yeoh yesterday when he registered the birth of his second daughter Ng Caryn.

Caryn, born on June 11, was registered by her parents as “Anak Malaysia” for race and “Belum Ada (none yet)” for religion.

But when the official birth certificate was issued to Ng, the two sections were written as “Chinese” for race and “Buddha” for religion.

Ng, who is political secretary to the Penang chief minister, is “speechless” that the NRD, without consultation and without his approval, has chosen the race and religion of his own child.

Rather than blaming the officer, Ng targetted his complaint squarely at NRD’s rigid system, expressing disbelief that his child was “ordained” a Buddhist when he clearly stated that she does not yet have a religion.

He was equally upset that Chinese was chosen as the child’s race instead of Anak Malaysia.

“Why should she decide this for me? This is a serious matter…why we cannot have a choice for our own children, to register them as Anak Malaysia without a religion yet,” he said.

“This is the spirit of 1Malaysia and should be encouraged. Our future generation should have the liberty and freedom to decide their own race and religion,” he added.

Appealing against NRD’s ‘unethical act’

Responding to a Malaysiakini article yesterday highlighting that the NRD issued birth certificates without the ethnicity of the child between 1996 and 2000, Ng said it was not necessary to state those two elements.

The issue of ethnicity in birth certificate registration and other official forms was raised after Yeoh, Subang Jaya MP, failed to register her daughter’s race as ‘Anak Malaysia’ earlier this month.

Like in Ng’s case, the NRD officer rejected the parents’ request and chose ‘Chinese’ as the race of their daughter Shay Adora Ram.

The NRD has clarified that the race of the child must stem from either parent in a mixed marriage and that no ‘mixed-race’ registration is allowed.

Though he recognizes that he is ethnically Chinese, Ng still thinks he should be given the choice to select his own race as Anak Malaysia.

He said he was appealing against the “unethical act” of the NRD officer who, when asked, told him that a child must be registered according to the father’s or mother’s race and religion.

“Our system is outdated and corrupt until there is no flexibility for us to decide our own faith and religion,” he said.

“I do not want to force my future generation to follow my race and religion…I do not want them to be like (those) who did not have a choice before” he added.
