“From Caning Son to Father’s Issue..??”

An old schoolmate from overseas called me and said,”What is really happening in Malaysia now? In our younger schooldays we used to eat together from different religious backgrounds in school canteens and there are no segregation. Are we going backwards or what? Next they will be HALAL Canteen Certificates  i presume for schools? Is it because of politics and the little napoleans that our children are now suffering the religious and disharmony that is in our schools? Its rather unfortunate and this has got to stop.

Do something was his final message. Can we..??

We have covered it in detail and there was also an apology from the senior assistant of St. Thomas’ Primary School, Iskander Fadeli. The full article can be read here .

Our earlier article :-https://audie61.wordpress.com/2010/11/07/caninga-public-outcry/. However that is not the question now. It is getting political and the can of worms might just start creeping out.

Now Independent MP Zulkifli Noordin wants the Home Ministry to investigate Beginda Minda @ Noor Azman, whose 10-year-old son was caned for bringing pork to a school in Sarawak, whom he now claims has dual identities – that of a Muslim and a non-Muslim. The full article can be read HERE…

audie61 called up Beginda Minda at 9.31am this morning and we needed him to clear a few grey areas. He said that the documents are with him and a certain Datuk Misnu from Majlis Islam Sarawak was the signatory in his letter. He even sms later at 10.01am ,”Yes 100 PERCENT BRO

We honestly thought that events have overtaken us and did not want to pursue this matter until my schoolmate called 19.49 pm. This is something which each and everyone of us can play a part by telling the person next to us that we live in a multiracial, multiethnic, multi religious country and we must not compromise the PEACE and SECURITY of our country.

We are born here and we must TAKE CARE OF MALAYSIA. Religious extremism and fanatism must not rear its uglyhead or else this country will go to the DUMPS.

ITS UP TO YOU AND ME NOW…

Caning”A Public Outcry…!!”

An innocent 10 year old is now in the centre of a storm which will and might affect the balance of multiracial, multiethnic and multi religious society in Sarawak.

What has he done to deserve the caning?

Its all written splash all over the main stream media, internet protals and blogs and mosts of it people in Sarawak which is made up of 39 or more ethnic races are beginning to take notice and are somewhat BOILING BEHIND THEIR NECKS.

I happened to be caned by our Principal Brother Columba in St.Joseph’s School Kuching.when I was in Form 1 in 1973 . REASONS:

  • 1.Fighting against other Form students.{Painful but Deserving.Kept quiet from Parents Of course..Sssshh}
  • 2. Putting AXE BRAND(minyak kapak) on a teachers chair( Canned both hands by Principal again in front of all classmates-desrving for being naughty and mischevious)

Both instances I was wrong and deserved to be canned twice only Oooh.. so painful and still could feel it today.Of course not 10 times….That’s too much for (a 10 year old on a crime he does not deserved) …Those days already got a lot of WHISTLEBLOWERS.

So much has been said and you can read it all here by clicking:-

By the way audie61 would like also to recommend readers to look at the article written by Borneo Posts columnists”STOP THIS MADNESS” by Zaharom Nain where he strongly wrote,”the bottom line we don’t need sadists and child abusers looking after (huh!)our children. It is worse when they are also religious bigots and racists. These people should not be anywhere near the vicinity of any school, let alone head it

You can contact the writer at  email :- zaharom_nain@yahoo.co.uk

It is a very well written piece and we should all recommend it to our Deputy Prime Minister who is also the Minister of Education.

WE ALL FEEL SO SORRY FOR THE BOY..

SNAP “Over-excited Reporting”

SNAP is definitely a VERY HOT ITEM in the political menu this week in Sarawak. Italy’s exit from the 2010 World Cup as defending champions did not even lift an eyelid. SNAP is indeed a surprise while Italy had it coming for them and the writings were already crystal clear on the football wall.

Wow! This must be an over excited journalism GENUINE mistake or Is this the NEW SARAWAK ENGLISH. {too bad for Borneo posts says a reader} We on our part as audie61 do try our bests too to check out the dictionary and on line Wikipedia for spellings but sometimes our grammar does need to be corrected before posting.

We are not PURR FECT….hik hik

By the way before we make any comparisons/single out .. always remember what is a BLOG..?? Do we need to tell ourselves….hmmm

When posed with a question on the matter, Chief Minister Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud, who is state BN chairman, said: “A lot of waters ( water )have gone under the bridge. I have to discuss it with the other component parties because SNAP did not go out just like that.

{ Could CM have said WATERS..? PLURAL?}

This is FRONT PAGE MATERIAL and if mistakes keeps appearing our children and the future of Malaysia will suffer. Correct us if we are wrong and we know that we use words like ” There has been a lot of water….”

Its Friday this is a way of easing our pain,” arrivedercci Italia

Liow “Accept or Resign”

Updated from Malaysiakini- Home Minister Hishammuddin Tun Hussein said the decision by ROS was based on three main factors – the country laws, the Societies Act 1996 and the MCA constitution.

“Should the matter be taken to court, we, at the ministry, and ROS will explain and defend the decision,” he told a news conference at the Parliament lobby here today.
liow tiong lai

Liow Tiong Lai and his renegades in MCA have tasted the bitter sweet of party politics and the learning process of it all is a rocky and winding road to the top. Politics never takes prisoners and if he was to fall by the wayside and does not accept the decisions he will be affixing his very own signature to his own MCA DEATH WARRANT.

The ROS has spoken and no one should and can dispute it as it clearly states in the Societies Act 1966(Act 335 ) & regulations.-18c Decision of political party to be final and conclusive.

{ The decision of a political party or any person authorised by it or by its constitution or rules or regulations made thereunder on the interpretation of its constitution,rules or regualtions or any matter relating to the affairs of the party shall be final and conclusive and such decision shall not be challenged,appealed against,reviewed,quashed or called in questionb in any court on any ground,and no court shall have jurisdiction to entertain or determine any suit,application,question or proceeding on any ground regarding the validity of the decision.}

Larry sng

That is the very reason which also saw to the end of problems in Party Rakyat Sarawak in which there was the factional infighting for two years between James Masing and Larry Sng. The ROS declared James the legitimate President and Larry’s man just left him and the party and joined PKR enbloc. Liow the options and the door has just slammed shut on you with the PM agreeing to the decision.

So Liow now are you ready to bow down and accept the truth or leave MCA. This is the statement copied from Malaysiakini,’ Speaking at a press conference in Parliament, the Barisan Nasional chieftain described the ROS’ stunning decision as “purely legal”..

According to Najib, this is how the ROS interpreted the MCA constitution.

“The constitution is based on certain provisions which requires two-thirds majority to remove anyone in the party whether appointed or elected.

“Now based on that, that is why they (ROS) said Chua is still the deputy and this is the same provision that keeps Ong Tee Keat as president,” he said.

Najib added that the ROS has to be consistent as it cannot make two different decisions when the case is the same.”You cannot have one principle on the president, and another on the deputy. MCA has decided that part of the constitution, the ROS only interpreted the constitution,” he said

Liow said that he reserves the right he reserves the right to file an appeal or take the matter to court.

My friend Mr.Health Minister please wise up and take your time and you will not regret it. The journey has just started for you but if you just insists to follow that path of CONFRONTATIONAL Politics you will always be used as a Hand Grenade and others will benefit from your irrational ways.

We would also recommend you to read this from an internet blog,” Sarawak’s renewed political hopes. Many have tried and have failed to challenge the Presidents of respective parties. Will you be able to create this historical breakthrough…???

“2+3=8”..Complications of Sarawak

The whole weekend Marina was the focal point of every conversation in all corners of Sarawak. However what is most puzzling is that according to a parent,”How come Federal Officers or Ministers are so quiet on this issue? Our Ministers can harp and shout their voices hoarse from the longhouses rooftops but it will be too no avail. There seems to be a deafening calm and silence.

The headlines by Minister Of Land Development James Masing in the local Borneo Posts should be commended. His children are also mixed and they cannot run away from it. The whole story can be read by HERE. Out of curiosity what has happen to the some of the other Sarawak Federal Members of Parliament who should be making their voices heard now in Parliament on this issue.Only a handful dares to make their presence felt. Do we need to tell them that 2+3 does not equal to 8 before they come out of their cocoon shells/caves to fight for their own people. Are they so afraid of stepping on the WRONG  TOES..??

Do we need to tell them what to do? Can’t they organise themselves to be heard in a Press Conference in Parliament or get a signed Memorandum to deliberate on this issue. There is a serious need to look into this matter as PM Najibs “slogan 1 Malaysia” is but another rhetoric and going astray. In Sarawak one can say if you throw a COIN IN THE AIR IT WILL BOUND TO HIT A PERSON OF MIXED PARENTAGE. It’s not funny though as this issue will singularly bring down the Government of the Day.

Sarawak is the Bastion of BN Government with 30 out of 31 Parlaiamentary seats and 62 out of 71 State seats. It’s already out in the open now and the can of worms are wriggling free. The opposition have been harping on NCR issues in Sarawak, corruption, cronyism, abuse of powers,Penan rape cases  “To me, all these reports are not true” and many others and BUT ULTIMATEDLY THIS IS THE BIGGEST SINGULAR THORN THAT WILL INFLICT THE CORE  DAMAGE TO THE INVICIBILITY OF THE BN.

BN strategists will say to their respective bosses no way ,no way,no way but when it happens that the results are not as expected and there is a sudden shift of voters attitude the amount of $$$$$$ to bring them back in terms of development it will be a little too late. Some opposition leaders are at their little corner of their constituencies giggling and rubbing their hands with delight.

According to a number of analysts  BN should not be HOLED UP with this issue as Marina is tantamount and likened to be God’s Gift to the opposition. There are hundreds and thousands who are not accorded this status but are now saying,”If only Marina had appeared earlier…her grades are so much better than ours and she has made the right noises. ”

A close aide to James Masing said that the boss sees no other choice available to him but to confront the ISSUE OF MARINA headon as the Bumiputras in Sarawak are looking beyond this statement which James said,” It’s not just education we are talking about here,”. Now its up to the Fedral authorities to stand up and get their hands dirty or else it will be sooner rather than later the people will turn against the BN Governance.

2+3 equals 5 but we do make it a little too complicated at times for this country to move forward.  A chinese friend who had dinner with me said in jests,” Now we CHINESE can call ourselves Cinaputra. We dont want any complications now do we…hik hik hik ????

“Najibs Timing Purrfect..?”

If a cat is not aggravated or attack it will not used its claws to scratch would it? Seems when Chua Jui Meng said,” I like Najib as he is articulate and has a broad vision for Malaysia he could not be far wrong. Even Mahathir has vouched that Najib is a good man but he tends to surround himself with the wrong crowd.

Mahahtir was lazer sharp when he said that “In Najibs Cabinet there are some who has seen their bests days and he must have seen it coming for Najib. The last few days there was a strong movement against “Internet Censorship” Najib was quick to grab this opportunity as not to make BN fall further behind in opinion polls and also the one that musts have brought more light than the suns rays,”LOL from neighbouring countries like Singapore,Thailand and Indonesia.

So there are afterall some good man left in Najibs cabinet and this is an extract from an internet portal,”“The government has no desire to implement Internet filtering,” the prime minister said when commenting on Rais’ remarks that the government wants to shut out smut.

“This matter will be decided by the Cabinet but all this while we have never intended to filter the internet,” Najib added despite the information, communication and culture ministry’s tender exercise to evaluate such a feasibility.

Well, this is indeed we say ,” I UP on Anwar. In other words he also have to thank Lim Kit Siang for his outspokeness on this subject. It must also be noted that most countries that attempt to censor the Internet, such as Iran and China, have come under heavy heavy criticism as it is perceived as an attempt to clamp down on political dissent.

We say as always,”Najib is trying VERY HARD to make the people get the FEEL GOOD FACTOR on the Government and BN in general. We know when GOOD MAN DO NOTHING ALL WILL BE LOSTS. Purrfect Najib…Miaw! Miaw!

“Black Eyed James PRS/SPDP Merger Diversion…”

Are you ready for this..? It seems embattled PRS President James Masing has somewhat found a way to divert his already fluid relationship with the CM Taib by tabling a motion at last weeks Supreme Council meeting for a Merger.  It was agreed but with a condition that SPDP first table a resolution for a CALL OF A MERGER. PRS will then only hold its TDC in which they will follow suit. All this will be done in the early part of next year 2010.

The blue print and the much needed nod of approval from one set of Supreme Council seems to have unlocked the key for a Merger of both parties. Though negotiations are ongoing it seems that mosts details have been ironed out and at bests all political appoitments will be ‘status quo“.

1c5531338e2834575ff4b8618d1721b6

James once a Blue Eyed Boy of CM Taib has somewhat now found himself at the wrong end of the CM’s stick and he has suffered more Black Eyes than what his supporters are used to. He was once revered as an upcoming Dayak leader and his advises and assistance were generally sought for.

The GOLD LADEN CARRIAGE RIDE has somewhat stopped. Over the past year he has been seen to be making too many mistakes where it was almost impossible for CM to cover his endless journey of political mishaps. His supporters thought getting rid of “Larry Sng” was the answer to all their problems but it was all James wrong undoing/manouvering which has caught up with him in a quagmire.

As a politician James somewhat forgot a very SIMPLE POLITICAL RULE. It’s to cover his tracks properly eventhough as a trained Antropologists he thought that he could deceive or outwit those who he has somewhat forgotten says a political watcher. There were many instances which he thought he could plaster over with “A genuine statement in supporting BN” but CM has already done his homework and kept the minute details in his locker room far from his very OWN eagled eyed and eves dropping machais.

Now the only setback for the merger it seems is the question of WHO LEADS THIS MERGED ENTITY..? Do I need to spell it out here. What was the Final straw that broke the camels back. ? A veteran politician said,” Let’s see whether Taib follows James call and has a reshuffle within these month. If not,James can just get ready to be dropped or just SHIP HIMSELF OUT..Very blunt as in Politics there are NO POLITICAL PRISONERS.”

James Masing’s impending tussle with Entulu might not happen as the bigger picture it seems is now the Merger entity. Entulu must thank his “Lucky Stars’ that the Hidden Hands/Puppet Masters  have worked a better deal for him to carry on his political journey. SPDP President Mawan would be watching this political scenario with Interests as he gets on with his usual Adminstrative work for the State Government. His advisors would have advised him to play to the tune of CM Taib and do not even try to push any buttons which might trigger a FALSE ALARM.

Obviously, the answer is that BN4 would soon be BN3 to face the “UNITED” opposition in the next state elections.

We say as always,”There is tension on the ground especially with the impending SPDP/PRS merger talks eventhough many are denying it. We shall just leave it to the HIDDEN HANDS to work their Magic..

The Debate”Is Malaysia’s Education going backwards..?”

The internet blogs and main stream media has got it all. The views, the reasons the implementation date and the opinions from all academicians, elected representatives and parents.

Did anyone ask the main player and conduct a poll from the affected ones that is the students? Obviously not as they do not have a CHOICE really as they are caught in the RAT RACE of coming tops and worry about whats in front of them especially ‘What are the correct employment .”

Now it seems that in 2012 when its implemented those who intend to enter ‘foreign universities” they will face obstacles not unless they can afford to study overseas anytime with their “parents wealth” Is this really good for our country..?

I would very much want to go indepth into this subject as 31 years ago  I was also caught in the lasts of the Senior Cambridge System where those who came after us were all under the Malaysian Education syllables. We were the lasts of the Common Entrance,Junior Cambridge,Senior Cambridge and now what.

Academecians has advocated that English taught from primary school right up to university makes good sense in our long term goal to produce a bilingual or even trillingual citizenship that can compete and COMPETE WELL in the International arena. What does appear though is that English being the norm our local graduates will face unseen challenges and difficulties in making the grades especially in Foreign Firms.

This was told to me by the Sarawak Teachers’s Union President William Ghani who said many parents are in unison especially when the whole PICTURE IS PLACED IN FRONT OF THEM.

Not sounding racist in remarks or belittling any race he told audie61.The Chinese can work in Taiwan,Hong Kong,China and Singapore. The Indians can work in Sri Lanka,Pakistan, India and where can the Dayaks or Bumiputera work after they completed their Malay science and maths. Don’t tell me in Indonesia .?

There is too much experimentation and flip-flops and U turns. Does Harvard,Cambridge or Oxford change according to whims and fancies? Just look at football as an example:-

In 1996 the J league Association has to learn from our Malaysian semi-pro league. Today Japan football is world class and many of their players are household names overseas. Where is Malaysia Football..?

Education is beyond political divide and as such English should be viewed as the one language that opens doors to International commerce, trade, industry, communications science and technology.

So even Mahathir does not have very kind words on this subject as he said,”The future of Young Malaysians will find difficulty keeping abreast of developments in the scientific field.”

A concerned parent and a VOTER in the Malaysian democratic system was even more blunt,” Ask all the elected representatives,YBs and MPs ,top ranking officials to send their sons and daughters like eveyone else to Sekolah Rendah,Sekolah Menengah,Kolej dan Universiti di Malaysia.

Don’t send them to all the elite schools. Will they do it..?For better or worse..? Don’t think they will as they will only think the bests for their own and forget about the others. The INNOCENT ALWAYS PAYS THE PRICE. So who are we to blame..??

Many parents are looking at overseas and those who have the SCIENTIFIC BRAINS will not even consider coming back. Wasn’t they a call for many intellectual and calibre Malaysians to come back to Malaysia with many promises during Tun Mahathir’s administration? Are they all back..?

When we were young our grandfathers would sit us down and look straight at our eyes,”Nobody can take away what is in our BRAINS. Today it is called Intellectual Property and In Olden China these people are feared and casts aside or put away for good. Has Malaysia just CHECKED IN or the ruling government is so afraid of their own shadows. I sincerely hope I am wrong and I LOVE MALAYSIA and do not want it to see it lagging behind if our future genrations are handicapped and losts their edge.

We say as always,”All of us need to play our part in assuring EVERY Malaysian stays competitive . Lets ensure that our Children do not suffer for our actions…
