Ti-Ong Happy Merdeka..Not Your Way

Natasha said all the press eyes were focussed on Tiong King Sing the MP who is at the very moment having a FALL-OUT with MCA President Ong Tee Keat at The SPDP Supreme council meeting in Kuching. What he said to the Press can be read at the borneoposts.com but what tickles us is the way he said, But I think Enough is enough lah!   Do you HONESTLY THINK SO……Bugi Wijaya meanwhile filed this report from the Land below the Wind and he has gathered the necessary information to give us a Very Happy Merdeka High…hik hik hik..!!!

SACRIFICIAL_LAMB[1]       It was no ordinary wedding at the Sabah Cultural Centre in Penampang on the night of 29 August 2009.  Thousands of guests including UPKO President Tan Sri Bernard Dompok was in attendance despite the heavy rain and thunderstorm.

After all it was the wedding reception of the son of Albert Boyou who runs Montis Sdn Bhd, the main contractor for a number of oil and gas projects.

As the band belt out the Frank Sinatra “My Way”, it seems to be reminder  among the UPKO dominated crowd that this has got to do with the embattled MCA President Dato Ong Tee Keat .  Earlier in the day, the local Daily Express has the headline of UPKO Treasurer General Datuk Dr Marcus Mojigoh asking Ong to step aside from his position before his personal agenda affects the whole BN coalition.

This is the first component party within BN who has spoken out on the current ‘fiasco’ facing Ong.  Whether this will pick up momentum among the other components it is yet to be seen.

While Mojigoh who is the MP for Putatan do not deny his close relationship with Dato Tiong King Sing, he feels Tiong should not step aside his position as the Chairman of the BNBBC if Ong does likewise.

With UPKO stand, is this the end of the road for Ong?

If one believes in the sign from the gods then it has to be from Sabah.  Mazu is the goddess who is associated with fishermen and mainly worshipped by the Hainanses clans among others.  It seems that as the Mazu statue controversy in Sabah where the erection of the Mazu statue in Kudat were stopped by the state government, blessing will not reach the Hainanese.

This is evident now where Ong is a Hainanese and at the moment it seemd destined he will be the shortest serving MCA President in history.  For the record the other Hainanese MCA President was Tan Koon Swan who was president for 11 months that is from November 1985 till September 1986.  Prior to being president he has even been sacked from MCA.

So as we await for other to join in the bandwagon of UPKO, it seems like the song Ong should recite would be…….

And now, the end is near;

And so I face the final curtain.

My friend, I’ll say it clear,

I’ll state my case, of which I’m certain.

I’ve lived a life thats full.

I’ve traveled each and every highway;

And more, much more than this,

I did it my way.

Regrets, I’ve had a few;

But then again, too few to mention.

I did what I had to do

And saw it through without exemption.

I planned each charted course;

Each careful step along the byway,

But more, much more than this,

I did it my way.

Yes, there were times, I’m sure you knew

When I bit off more than I could chew.

But through it all, when there was doubt,

I ate it up and spit it out.

I faced it all and I stood tall;

And did it my way.

I’ve loved, I’ve laughed and cried.

I’ve had my fill; my share of losing.

And now, as tears subside,

I find it all so amusing.

 To think I did all that;

And may I say – not in a shy way,

No, oh no not me,

I did it my way.

For what is a man, what has he got?

If not himself, then he has naught.

To say the things he truly feels;

And not the words of one who kneels.

The record shows I took the blows –

And did it my way!                                     HAPPY MERDEKA TO ALL MALAYSIANS WHEREVER YOU ARE FROM ALL OF US AT audie61.

“Najib Says to MCA”

najib ong

It seems everyone is talking about it. Will this spell the end for MCA? All great dynasties fall due to infighting and we know this from Chinese History says a political watcher. Cindy of audie61 couldn’t help but to reposts this Malaysiakini report:-

Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak today urged MCA to solve its internal problems swiftly before it becomes a major issue for the Barisan Nasional.

Speaking after opening the National Economic Advisory Council in Kuala Lumpur this morning, he said both factions within the party should think of BN’s interests and not let the crisis deteriorate.

He was referring to two factions led by party president Ong Tee Keat and sacked deputy president Dr Chua Soi Lek.

“What they need to do is to fix the problem immediately… don’t let this crisis erode the people’s support for MCA and, BN as a whole,” he said.

Najib also reiterated that they should adhere to BN’s principles, which is to resolve “internal matters” within the party.

The party on Wednesday had sacked deputy president Chua over his sex scandal which broke out in late 2007, early 2008.

Both are still ‘adamant about their positions’

According to the prime minister, both Ong and Chua seem to be “adamant about their positions” and only time will tell if they are ready to confront each other.

“Now we have to wait for both parties to talk, or maybe someone can become a mediator for their discussions,” he said.

However, Najib’s latest comment does not reflect the willingness that he mentioned yesterday, where he would act as an intermediary, if he is invited.

Meanwhile, Ong said that he met Najib along with party vice-presidents Liow Tiong Lai and Kong Cho Ha to explain the decision taken by the presidential council to sack Chua.

“We are deeply aware that the presidential council’s decision to expel the former deputy president may cause concern for component party members of Barisan Nasional.

“Najib’s stand to allow MCA to solve its internal issues without his interference is appreciated. I am also grateful for Najib’s advice to resolve this party matter as swiftly as possible,” wrote in his blog.

He also said that that the party leadership was united in its stand to overcome the challenges that may arise.

“Our focus is not on excessive politicking but in serving the people first. I have also told Najib in very clear terms that the MCA is committed to the concept of 1Malaysia,” he added.

Joey of audie61 was stunned and also dumbfounded by this article which was headlined in todays Borneo Posts,”Dr.Chan,Sim Fume over Signboard dismantling

This was the curious part,”“Both the president and the secretary general are very disappointed that SUPP Dudong branch signboard has been taken down by Sibu Municipal Council (SMC) despite a solution decided at the central working committee (CWC) meeting on August 20 to form the six branches in Sibu including Dudong branch by November 2009.

According to a very Senior SUPP member in which Joey interviewed he summed it up with,”The OLD SICKNESS IN SUPP has reappeared and rear its UGLY Head.” The whole BP report can be read HERE:

Latest- MCA Soi Leck Expelled

Natasha of audie61 received an sms that its confirmed that  The No.2 in MCA is sacked from the party. The article ectracted from Malaysiakini  confirms and ends all speculations.

MCA deputy president Dr Chua Soi Lek has been formally sacked from the party for damaging the party’s reputation due to his sex scandal.

MCPX

At a press conference at 12.15am at the party headquarters, MCA
president Ong Tee Keat announced that the presidential council had
endorsed the recommendation of the party’s disciplinary committee to sack Chua over the matter.

“We did so with a heavy heart after giving much consideration to the
damage inflicted upon the party image, brought about by his sex
scandal featured in the DVD.

“This decision has been made in the best interest of the party,” said Ong, reading from a prepared text after a marathon five-hour meeting.

Ong said Chua ha 14 days to appeal the decision, but added that the party constitution does not allow the decision to be challenged in court.

He said that he would personally convey the decision to Prime
Minister Najib Abdul Razak.

Earlier, Chua, when asked if he would now join the opposition if he was sacked, shot back with a flat “No!” without hesitation.

Upon arriving at the MCA headquarters in Jalan Ampang, Chua was asked to predict how the presidential council meeting would go.

He replied by grabbing his neck with his hand and said three times: “Gantung mati (hanged to death)”.

Chua was not allowed to participate in the meeting, which started about 9pm, as he was an interested party.

NONEHe said he had received a report from the disciplinary committee which recommended the presidential council to sack him.

He added that he will adhere to whatever decision made by the party on the matter.

He noted that the presidential council usually endorsed decisions made by the disciplinary committee.

He also said that he hoped party president and his rival Ong Tee Keat will “sleep well tonight after I’m expelled”.

He said that Ong had been seeing him as an enemy and the biggest threat since party elections last October.

“Members must take necessary action to stop the party from being destroyed by one person,” he said.

Incompetent president

When asked if by this he meant an extraordinary general meeting to be called to remove the president, Chua said he had to consult his supporters first before making such a decision.

Furthermore, he added, he had never suggested the EGM proposal. It was a media speculation, he said.

“Party has many senior leaders, they will give various suggestions,” he said.

He also lashed out at Ong for keeping the party without any directions since taking over the presidency.

“The party has no clear direction, members are fighting against each other and MCA could not win back the Chinese voters,” he said.

When asked if he will be appealing against any decision taken today, he said he will consider when the decision is officially handed down.

Ong’s important political agenda

Meanwhile in his blog entry, Chua said that the decision against him was not a surprise “because there has been a sustained attempt by the MCA president to subvert the wishes of the rank and file and end my political career”.

“But as a loyal party man, I have to abide by the decision of the disciplinary board and the presidential council. I am confident that MCA comrades will understand fully the events leading to the suspension and why the MCA leadership needs to keep me on the sidelines.

“It is an open secret that those who are not on the same page with the MCA president are regarded as his enemies or a threat,” he wrote.

He added that Ong had outlined three main agenda for the party: economic, politics and inter-racial harmony, but in reality “it appeared that his most important political agenda was to remove Chua Soi Lek”.               This is Indeed a Heavy Price To pay for the MCA No.2 for his pasts actions…

BN/SUPP Dudong Signboard… ??

supp 1   Joey of audie 61was made to understand during the height of the crisis of PRS having two headquarters the Registrar of Societies(ROS) and MBKS (Majlis Bandaraya Kuching Selatan) and also the Protem UMNO signboard in Matang (under DBKU jurisdiction-Dewan Bandaraya Kuching Utara)and these two cases similar in nature were left untouched . How come the BN/Dudong signboard has created so much controversy? It seems that the THORN  is getting sharper and has created a deadly virus which is /will affect SUPP in the Central region. Ti-Ong..”Whats $500 Million amongst Friends Huh..?”

The main stream media has frontpaged the  filing of MS500 Million Suit by Ong against Tiong.Natasha received an sms which said ,” What is, M$ 500 amongst Friends.Every one will have SOME SHARE .hahaha.? Well, Malaysiakini has this report and we have extracted the article and reposts it here.

MCA president Ong Tee Keat today filed a RM500 million defamation suit against BN Backbenchers Club chairperson Tiong King Sing over the latter’s claim of giving RM10 million to the minister.

NONEOng, also the transport minister, only named Tiong as the defendant. The suit was filed by his team of nine lawyers at the Kuala Lumpur High Court registry at 11.15am today.

Ong is suing Tiong, who is also the Bintulu member of parliament, in his personal capacity.

Ong’s lawyer Ronnie Tan said that his client will donate the RM500 million to charity and education if he wins the case.

Ong and Tiong had been involved in a running battle over claims made by the Bintulu politician that he had given the money to the MCA president for party purposes.

Ong had denied the claims and had lodged a police report. Tiong meanwhile had said that he had a friend was witnessed the exchange of cash.

Injunction to be obtained soon

In his suit, Ong is also asking Tiong to retract the statement and make an apology through all major newspapers in the country. He also applied for an injunction to stop Tiong from repeating his claims.

“We hope to get the injunction as soon as possible,” said lawyer Tan (photo: with file).

NONEOng’s court documents also quoted Malaysiakini’s exclusive report on Aug 12 in which Tiong was reported to have made the RM10 million claims.

Ong further added that Tiong’s statement had tarnished his reputation, image and integrity, and had caused him to be hated and despised by the public.

He also said that Tiong’s allegation was unfounded and made in bad faith to stop the investigation into the Port Klang Free Trade Zone issue, in which Tiong’s company Kuala Dimensi Sdn Bhd is implicated.

Ong further claimed that his legal letter to Tiong on Aug 13 seeking a retraction, apology and compensation was unheeded with the Bintulu businessman continuing to make similar allegations to the newspapers……………

                                                                                                                                    Ooooh.WELL “SEE YOU” IN COURT

MY FRIEND.

“YBs Resignation..No Tears,No Hurrah..”

Cindy received news earlier from a PKR innsider that one of their own from Kedah has resigned. The immediate reaction was ,”Who is he? Why he resigned? Whats happening? Where is heading to with the resignation? Its all questions and Cindy of audie 61 reposts this Malaysiakini report and hopefully there will be some answers for you:-

Kedah Pakatan has today been rocked with a defection – Lunas state assemblyperson Mohd Radzhi Salleh, who is also an executive council member, quit PKR citing loss of confidence in the party’s leadership.

He has announced himself as an independent state assemblyman.

Radzhi, 56, will nevertheless continue as Lunas seat representative as well as the state executive council post.

But his state cabinet post is in doubt as Kedah Menteri Besar Azizan Razak is likely to ask him step down from his tourism and community development portfoio.

With Radzhi’s resignation from PKR, the PAS-led government Kedah now has 21 seats against Barisan Nasional 14, with one Independent.

The Pakatan Rakyat state government is composed of PAS (16 seats), PKR (now 4) and DAP (1), while Umno makes up the bulk of BN with 12 seats while MCA and Gerakan has one each.

In an immediate reaction, PKR leaders said that Radzhi’s resignation could be triggered by a Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission investigation into his tourism portfolio.

They also said that the PKR leadership had expressed dissatisfaction over his performance.

Padang Serai PKR division ‘dissolved’

Radzhi’s decision to quit PKR has not come as a surprise to Padang Serai parliamentarian N Gobalakrishnan.

“I was expecting it for a long time … he was close to Mahdzir Khalid (former Kedah menteri besar),” said the MP from Kedah, whose Padang Serai constituency includes the Lunas state seat.

Radzhi won Lunas in the general election last year defeating MIC’s S Ananthan Somasundram by 10,323 majority votes.

The other state seat under Gobalakrishnan’s constituency is Merbau Pulas held by PAS’ Siti Aishah Ghazali.

A key ally of Radzhi, acting Padang Serai PKR division chief Jamaludin Abu Hassan has also today announced that his division had been dissolved.

Gobalakrishnan said he had received numerous complaints on Radzhi’s poor performance from party members and voters over the past six months.

He claimed that Radzhi’s defection was timed to enable BN to reclaim the initiative in the Permatang Pasir by-election campaign in neigbouring Penang.

“Now Umno can portray PKR and Pakatan as crumbling in Kedah. By doing so, Umno thought it can fish some votes in Permatang Pasir.

“But the truth is PKR in Padang Serai and the Kedah Pakatan government are still strong, united and safe,” he told Malaysiakini.

BN seeks to engineer coup in Kedah

Defection rumours involving Radzhi first surfaced when former PKR leader V Arumugam quit as Kedah exco and Bukit Selambau assemblyperson in February.

S Manikumar won the Bukit Selambau state seat in the subsequent by-election in April.

Gobalakrishnan said the party supreme council had suspended Padang Serai division in April “for carrying out activities against PKR interests” during the Bukit Selambau by-election campaign.

Some Kedah PKR leaders indicated that the lack of strong PKR state leadership and the domination of PAS in the state government could well be other major factors that had influenced Radzhi’s decision to defect.

Last month, the sole DAP assemblyperson, Lee Guan Aik (Kota Darul Aman), had threatened to quit the state cabinet in protest over the relocation of a pig abbatoir.

“Radzhi was quiet unhappy with PAS leaders lately due to the lack of help from state government for him to carry out his exco duties and constituency works in Lunas.

“So when Umno came calling, he was tempted,” said an elected representative, adding that he would not be surprised if Radzhi joins Umno soon.

Another leader said he believed BN had always harboured hopes of luring all five PKR assemblypersons to secure the necessary numbers to topple the Kedah government.

If all PKR men were to jump ship, BN would have 19 seats against Pakatan’s 17, enough to form a razor-thin majority.

Besides Radzhi, the other PKR excutive councillors in Kedah are S Manikumar and Bakar Arang state representative Tan Wei Shu.

Manikumar is in charge of domestic trade and consumer affairs, Thai community affairs, plantation workers’ unity and Indian community affairs, while Tan is in charge of environment, Chinese community affairs and transport.

Later in the afternoon, Gobalakrishnan and a group of PKR supporters held an impromtu protest outside the Padang Serai constitutency service centre calling on Radzhi to quit his Lunas seat to pave way for a by-election .

PKR reps are Pakatan’s weakness link

Meanwhile, PKR election director Saifuddin Nasution said Radzhi’s defection would not cause much harm to PAS’ bid in winning the Permatang Pasir by-election.

“I don’t think Umno spin doctors can sway that many votes,” said the former Lunas assemblyperson who is now Machang parliamentarian.

He described Radzhi as a rotten apple in PKR and said the party was happy to see the back of him.

“We have always suspected this scenario would happen since six to seven months ago. PKR will be better without him.”

However, Saifuddin conceded that PKR elected representatives are the weakest link within the Pakatan coalition.

“It’s something that the party leadership needs look into seriously. Otherwise it will shake public confidence in us,” he said.

PKR supreme council member Saiful Izham Ramli has disputed the status of Padang Serai division.

He explained that the division had been suspended since last month after the party found both Radzhi and Jamaludin were engaging in secret talks with Umno leaders to plot against the Kedah state government.

Saiful said PKR Sungai Petani MP Johari Abdul had been tasked by the party to take over the division.

Interesting political Snippets:- Muhyiddin Yassin hinted more PKR lawmakers could quit the opposition party. Many PKR members and elected representatives no longer trust Anwar Ibrahim because they realise that the party’s struggles are only for meant one individual, that is Anwar,

Anwar PKR de facto leader denied rumours that more Kedah assemblyman would be following Radzhi’s footsteps.Anwar said he had received many complaints lately about Radzhi’s disciplinary problems, mismanagement of claims and marital problems.

Were Tears Shed by PKR and Hurrah by BN…We Wonder…??

“Correct,Correct,Correct..Wife and Girlfriend”

dog1

Natasha says the spat between Tiong and Ong is Getting Worse….tsk tsk tsk..??? Will he be losing his MCA CROWN..? Now Tiong has ruled out that PM Najib is involved in his tiff with Ong. What lah!  Correct, correct, correct  Tiong used this,”If you (were to) find a (new) girlfriend, would you go back and get a green light from your wife.??”

The full report extracted from Malaysiakini..

Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak was not pulling the strings behind the bitter public spat between two Barisan Nasional leaders.

Bintulu MP Tiong King Sing – who shot to stardom with his RM10 million allegation last week – said the premier did not give him the clearance to go for MCA president Ong Tee Keat’s jugular.

When the war of words exploded, rumours were rife that Najib’s fingerprints were all over the scene.

After all, how could a mere parliamentarian get away with embarrassing Ong, who helms the second biggest component party, and was appointed by the premier as transport minister.

It was said that Najib was cross with Ong for putting the government in the spotlight by spilling the beans on the Port Klang Free Zone (PKFZ) scandal.

Speaking to Malaysiakini in Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday, Tiong had ruled this out.

According to the Sarawak tycoon turned politician, his tiff with the MCA president was a private matter.

To illustrate his point, Tiong said: “If you (were to) find a (new) girlfriend, would you go back and get a green light from your wife?”

“Why get others involved? If you want to do it, you should be responsible for it yourself,” he added.

Playing down the issue, Tiong said he was merely clarifying certain points raised by MCA leaders who came to their president’s defence.

‘Shameful’ allegation

Quizzed on Ong’s allegation that ‘external forces’ were raising RM100 million to topple him, Tiong, who was tickled by this, described it as shameful.

“He said I was raising RM100 million to topple him. Please. Don’t project yourself as somebody so difficult… that so much money is needed to topple you. Please! Don’t bring shame to our community.

“Don’t be like the opposition, everyday make up stories and ask for sympathy. Why do you want to do all this? Is it necessary?” he asked.

Since commissioning an audit on PKFZ, Ong claimed that his life had been threatened by certain individuals linked to the mega project while others were planning to use the issue to stage a coup.

Though no names were ever mentioned, it is widely believed that Ong was suggesting that his estranged deputy Dr Chua Soi Lek was joining forces with those accused of impropriety in the PKFZ fiasco.

Tiong is a major stakeholder in PKFZ turnkey developer Kuala Dimensi Sdn Bhd, which has been accused of inflating claims from RM500 million to RM1 billion.

He has rubbished the accusation, stating that Kuala Dimensi was never given a chance to defend itself before the Transport Ministry-commissioned special task force went public with the matter.

Radio station warned

Meanwhile, Tiong also slammed the MCA-owned radio station 98.8FM over its Tuesday breakfast programme where one of the hosts made disparaging remarks against him.

The remark was uttered during a segment where the three hosts would comment on various newspaper articles.

“If you want to talk, don’t talk about something outside the flow. Don’t say that I ‘dig the hole and drag people in with me’.

“Don’t talk in that manner. Don’t abuse your freedom. This is a warning to 98.8FM,” he thundered, pounding his fist on the table.

“I didn’t know that the radio station belongs to the Star (newspaper, owned by MCA)… Why did they turn and twist? They were adding sugar and vinegar (to their content). Why?” he asked.

MCA/SPDP “Baaaaaaaa..Conned..Hmmm”

SACRIFICIAL_LAMB[1]

Oh No! What else can I do? Cindy has this all wrapped up in this pictorial analysis….Very Happy to Help MCA says Tiong ….Baaaaaaaaaaa

This is the Malaysiakini report

RM1 rental: Tiong feels ‘conned’ by MCA
Andrew Ong
Aug 18, 09
6:51pm
The revelation by a MCA divisional leader that the party owns RM2 billion worth of assets has Bintulu MP and tycoon Tiong King Sing all riled up.This is because the party approached him for help in order to secure the use of eight four-storey shoplots for MCA-owned Tunku Abdul Rahman (TAR) College campus in Penampang, Sabah.Based on the tenancy agreement, TAR College only needs to pay Tiong’s company Wawasan Sdn Bhd a nominal fee of RM1 monthly for all units.

Speaking to Malaysiakini at his office in Petaling Jaya today, Tiong said he had allowed the deal to go through in order to help MCA in its pursuit to provide affordable education.

Now, Tiong is feeling deceived after reading China Press’ report quoting Setiawangsa division MCA head Ho Yoon Ping’s boast that the party had RM2 billion in assets.

Given the party’s financial standings, Ho said it made no sense for the party or its president Ong Tee Keat to seek RM10 million in donations from Tiong.

“In a way, I have found out that I have been cheated,” said Tiong, “They are so rich (with) RM2 billion in assets and they tell me they are poor.”

“When they came to see me, they said that MCA had no money and couldn’t pay me (rent) or it would be charged on the students. I said ‘okay’, especially since the economy was not good at the time.

“I wanted to help reduce cost for the student and at the same time help to promote education.

“Do you think that by giving, I’m begging Utar (Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman) for a doctorate?” asked Tiong.

Tiong vs Ong

Adding insult to injury was the fact that Tiong’s company spent RM200,000 to refurbish the buildings before they were handed over.

The tenancy agreement, sighted by Malaysiakini, showed that the deal was inked in 2007 and is set to expire in six months.

“No need to worry, it is still a long way to go,” said Tiong, when asked if he would still extend the tenancy agreement based on status quo.

He said he will take time to consider if the building should be rented to other causes.

Meanwhile, Tiong said he was not trying to find fault with MCA members who are trying to protect their party president Ong Tee Kiat (left).

However, Tiong said that if he is hit with accusations, he had the right to reply as in Ho’s case.

“I urge all the members. Please stop it. Let me (slug it out) with your president,” he said. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kXkf143d7-E
