Sympathiser for PKR for BN P205 Saratok?

subengLet’s not be mean ,”wolf in sheep’s skin?”. However in this day and age politics is such that one have to be judgemental and ensure that the worthy candidate fits the bill to stand as a candidate. Our sources have informed us that there were once closely associated with and have close ties with PKR the opposition camp in Saratok.

Do we need to be robot scientist to work out this out?

Surely, PDP hierarchy must have checked the background of all 3 lobbyists to be a candidate for Barisan Nasional ? A senior PDP even have to answer to a netcitizen claim which in itself does hold some political truth on the matter.

On another note an Emeritus Professor said,”As a political party PDP seems to be “Deliberately Blinded” to create some political inconvenience so as to ensure that the seat belongs to PDP and not to other coalition partners or individuals.

The MP Incumbent is a former President of SPDP and he is still very much a BN Member of Parliament. He remains true to the concept of BN and has never wavered from his stand which the PM and DPM acknowledges as plus points for a candidade for BN in GE14.

Mawan himself  is consistent with his desire to step down at the end of the next parliamentary term. He even said that he as not interested in any position in the party he once led.

Do we need to polish it up more and add pepper plus other spices to it?

Meanwhile the President of PDP Tiong King Sing knows too well that he has a trump card if the need arises. Has he been playing with fire? Ali Biju PKR Assemblyman for Krian is so entrenched in the state seat and he will not have any hesitation to face off with anyone besides the Incumbent. This is extracted from Ali Biju’s twitter,“Official Twitter account for Ali Biju, PKR assemblyman for N.34 Krian and currently running for Parliament P.205 Saratok”

Let’s not deliberate further and its a known fact that there are many selfish individuals within PDP and President Tiong himself must stop this nonsensical lobbying for the sympathisers of PKR to have an upperhand in P205 for GE14.

The 4 Incumbents MP s in Tiong,Mawan,Anyi,Nogeh are all very winnable for BN. Mawan himself knows that its going to be a tough outing for BN in GE14 and has always practised the Principle of No.1 Party is BN System of Governance and N0.2 would be the party that he is in.

He does not hide behind the sheep skin and he has always put BN’s interest above self and he would not tarnish the image of BN in whatever manner. He has Saratok’s continuity in his heart and he plans to see it out till the end of the term for GE14.

Subeng with his 32 years of experience in corporate administration and management should wait for his chance to prove to the BN leadership and stay as an intern to Mawan and ready for GE15. The experience and youthful partnership which Mawan and Tiong has will benefit BN in totality and if Subeng Mula is willing to wait for the chance he will stand to handsomely impart from the tutelage of the incumbent MP with his years of experience.

Tiong would be seen as an outstanding President in the eyes of the Barisan leadership in the State and in Federal. He must be seen to have uncovered an unpolished diamond.  Mawan would also be instrumental to bring together the rival factions for the benefit of the constituency of Saratok.

Krian was lost to PKR and the defeated BN candidates of Peter Nyarok in 2011 and Kilat Beriak in 2016 was due to disunity in its rank and file. This was even highlighted by the local daily,”The reason Barisan Nasional (BN) lost in the Krian constituency in the previous two state elections was disunity within the ruling coalition which led to sabotage from among its own rank and not because it failed to deliver its promises as claimed by the opposition.”

One in the end has to prove his worth to BN and Subeng Mula knows very well that the BN leadership on this occasion of GE14 would only pick the winnable and loyal candidate. He stands a very good chance to be an MP after Mawan calls it a day in GE15 and only have to put up a BRAVE FACE and let BN find a ‘common ground” to win this seat instead of handing the seat on a platter to the opposition in PKR.

The wolf in sheep skin tag would be wiped clean of the slate if Subeng knows that politics is not only for today but its an ongoing process. Experience and wisdom is a forte in politics and Mawan would be most willing to share one of his favourite quote,”No leader should put troops into the field merely to gratify his own spleen; no leader should fight a battle simply out of pique. But a kingdom that has once been destroyed can never come again into being; nor can the dead ever be brought back to life. Hence the enlightened leader is heedful, and the good leader full of caution.
– Sun Tzu

BN Top Leadership would be very cautious and the winnable seats would not be sacrificed for any party or any individuals selfish needs.

SPDP “Showcause letter..??”

A veteran politician said to audie61,”If the President as so much as gives a directive to the Disciplinary board to take action against the Separatists 5 he is wrong. But if the issue of the “showcause letter” goes through the Supreme Council and is tabled and agreed upon, the President has used the constitution and powers within accordingly and is well sheltered from creating an unpleasant situation. It is not in his hands anymore.

The President will need to seek clarrification and advice from his think-tank to avoid any legal issues from surfacing and amongst the very first action is that they need to refer to article 16 Clause 35(h) where there is NECESSITY to table in the Supreme Council a special committee or Disciplinary Board to deal with this case on an ad hoc basis. Article 17 (f)of the said constitution permits the President to terminate the appointment of any one of all the appointed posts only.

Article 24 will come into play later where the composition, powers, procedures and decision will take into effect after the 5 member team has deliberated and put it up to be endorsed by a 2/3rd majority of votes of the Supreme Council present and attending.

A staunch SPDP supporter telephoned and said,”To me the President does not have a choice and he is being held hostage. He has to resolve this matter sooner rather than later or it will do the party no good in the eyes of Barisan National as we are one of the coalition partners. The party might be considered “weakened” if the 5 separatists leave but the Party as a whole will rise from the ashes to be a stronger as the ‘thorns” have been removed.

Mawan has been a gentleman no doubt he says but its time to throw the challenge down to them and tell them in so many words that they are not indispensable. There are so many young and upcoming professional party members to fill the vacuum.”

The President needs to take the bold step or else more dirty linen will be washed up in public and the party will be more or less targetted. BN will look after their own and the party needs to be strong enough to take herself up to another level.

The Tombstones will be Engraved for ANYONE who crossed party lines and SPDP is no different.

N34 Krian Peter Nyarok Assistant Minister and Deputy President of SPDP will need to work doubly hard in the upcoming State Elections if he is to remain the assemblyman for the constituency. He will be challenged by his old nemesis SG of SNAP Edmund Stanley Jugol who has already made his intentions known at the Pakatan meeting recently.

This is one seat that SNAP steadfastly has indicated to their Pakatan partners that they are convinced that they will pull of a surprise and defeat the incumbent Peter Nyarok. There are three obvious reasons for that:

  •  1. Three cornered fight that is the inclusion of former Executive Secretary SPDP Banyi Beriak as independant candidate or PCM will be good for SNAP
  •  2. The unsolved SPDP5 problem will see a decline of the support from BN coalition partners
  •  3.  The SNAP return from a “unrecognisable dead party” to now a Pakatan coalition will greatly help its cause. SNAP was a formidable force once.

Krian constituency (10429 voters) consists of  95% Iban and in 2006 Nyarok won by a majority of 2089 and the voters turnout was 72.48%.Nyarok garnered 4784 votes to Jugols 2695. There were 76 spoilt votes.

It seems that the Incumbent will be in for a tough Battle in the War in Krian N34. Would Banyi Beriak be the spoiler..??

SPDP Separatists 5 “Round 2′

What has been spilled out in the open in the SPDP Separatists 5 “little misadventure” is considered a “Chapter Closed”. According to a political strategists the SPDP President has genuinely and sincerely “bisik bisik” to the CM of what transpired and how and who was the culprit that started the whole “little misadventure” and the bulk of it is has to do with the “Posts Taib Era Syndrome” All the CM Aspirants cannot wait for it to HAPPEN…..

Now is not the time to point fingers says an aide to the CM. Mawan being the President will need to focus on winning the allocated seats which the party will be entrusted with. The Supreme Council will meet shortly (agenda of meeting will be sent out soon)and the party will know how to deal with the Separatist 5.

Of course the political stategists said,”The party is bigger than the Separatists 5″ and if they turn to page 37 of the Party Constitution No.32 they will know their Bells will sound too distant to those who are presently walking the corridors of power. In other words they are but all  signing their own POLITICAL DEATH WARRANT

Amongst them there must be some amongst them who will learn their misadventure and miscalculation has ended. What NEXT..?? They will find ways to return and will almost adhere to a Traditional Proverb,” STOOP IF THE ROOF IS LOW”

The cards have always been with the party and the  Separatists 5 has really miscalculated. Mawan being so gracious, took all the body blows and uppercuts have even gone on record to accept them back and considers them as “SONS of SPDP”. Have they joined PRS for that matter and handed their application forms asked a staunch SPDP member? If not, dont be “DEGIL{stubborn} he said.

Round 2 will be soon and the Final round will be very soon as the BN Sarawak will not want the SPDP to be embroiled further as it prepares to face the people for a new mandate.

No one in the BN coalition can blame or point towards SPDP for taking the correct “constitutional approach” The BN Chairman does not want to interfere in SPDP internal matter and the political analysts quoted what the CM said at the height of PRS crisis,” Let the Law and Legal matters take its own course”

There is still time to reconcile and return HOME for the Separatists 5. If they choose not to just because of EGOs or Political shame the door opens for others as PRS President Masing was famously quoted,”Crisis Breeds Opportunities” Its their call and no one can force them and they will know that the doors will be CLOSED,SHUT AND DOUBLED LOCKED for them. PM and Chairman of BN Najib has also said this yesterday,”DON’T LISTEN TOO MUCH TO  THOSE WHO USES RONSON LIGHTERS

So SPDP Separatists 5 Your own  Choice as Round 2 is very near at hand…….

CM Taib has worded it strongly and push the message across said a Bidayuh Political analyst to audie61 who was amongst many present at Kampung Sagah celebrating John Jenos 70th Birthday. Here in the bidayuh hinterland politics, family and religion are the most talked about subject.

The newly completed Committee Hall can accomodate 40 tables and the birthday celebrant who happens to be audies father in law celebrated with close to 38o family members, friends and politicians from both political divide. There was no time to single out anyone whose political ideology they represent but only to enjoy the evening. Of course they were some who passed the remark,”Wah BN and Pakatan together”

Coming back to the subject Taib said,” You know my trait…no sudden moves,it would not happen,’ He went on to say that he has not heard of any talk of the stdate election being held together with the parliamentary election. For both the elections to be held together Taib said he and the PM would need to think on the similar lines. There’s nothing against it as far as the law is concerned but the PM has to calculate his move and so must I.If the two coincide I can accept it.”

There were many Bidayuh professionals and voters of the area invited and the people will as always try to throw in some political remarks to make it a fulfilling evening besides the delicious food on offer.

The local organising committee of the function is from the ruling party and he did invite Assemblyman for Tasik Biru Peter Nansian and Wilfred Nissom (political secretary to CM) but they did not give GOOD ENOUGH reasons not to be around.

audie61 remember Larry Sng (Assistant Minister in CMs office ) did not make it to a local area in Kuching for a Church fund raising function he had to come back and ensure the people will not think that the YB Assistant Minister has shun them and have a negatve perception of BN.

The presence of PKR Sarawak See Chee How,Baharuddin Mohksen and a few others  were enough to to send some message across. We can only say ,”Dont blame others when you have failed to deliver.”

A local BN supporter who was disappointed that the Assemblyman thinks he can just walk away with the seat and show himself during elections he has something coming for him.The “PKR leaders were supposed to be on time for the DAP dinner ar 645 pm but they still managed to put in half an hour talking and miggling with the local bidayuh committee.” What has happened to our local assemblyman and now Assistant Minister..?

Isn’t every Vote vital and if they keep performing like that we on the grassroot level will have difficulites later. The Bidayuh community will remember and of course they will only vote for the YB/MP who are always working on the ground and also know how to bring their woes and requests in Parliament or the State Assembly.

PKR according to Baharuddin Mohksen will concentrate on where they will hurt BN mosts and its up to the people whether they are ready for the change. It will not be easy to dethrone the State Government but in politics he said,”Anything is Possible.” If  the polls are held simultaneously the whole scenario will be different. Will the BN be bold enough to sacrifice their trump card..?”

31 +71 together will still be a distant dream for now..

SPDP/PRS Merger…Good But Have We forgotten..??”

When there is a disagreement within the party its bests that it is kept with the four(4 walls) and don”t drag anyone into it. The message is clear and it seems now that “IT”S PAY BACK TIME” and the hidden hands(though small but dangerous) have created a very near perfect storm. We say near as it has not created a DEVASTATING EFFECT and is still solvable.

These five statements yet to be put into HARVARD political syllabus for analysis will in itself be enough for one to write a thesis.

  • SPDP President Mawan at  SPDP Press Conference,”Politics is about agreement and not disagreement.”
  • PRS President James Masing at PRS Statement,”Crisis Breeds Opportunities”
  • SPDP Senior Vice President Nansian,”At the moment we follow BN keep keep clear of everything. No further comment.”
  • Prime Minister Malaysia and Chairman of Barisan National Najib” At PBB convention he ticked off those in BN who tried to create troubles within.”
  • Former SG SPDP Slyvester Entri,”Losts Confidence in SPDP leadership”

Booby traps ,scratching heads, polemics, statistics, facts and a lot of internal bickering should have been solved within the party instead of dragging another into the fold. These brings a whole new ball game into the picture and its will be a very big problem if unsolved for the STATE BN as the rural constituencies remains a safe fixed deposit for the BN parties.

No matter what the opposition harps BN does have an upper hand on this seats and it will still take time and a lot of efforts from the opposition parties. Its not a level playing field in Sarawak as audie61 mentioned to a senior veteran opposition member. If the opposition parties have 6 helicopters at their disposal and BN 12 there might be ” SOME “inroads. This is only logical as BN will have upper hand in disposing of materials and other necessities.

Can a longboat in the interior outrun a helicopter during the crucial times of campaigning?  In battlefields its not only ground troops,sea/river transportation ,intellegence, spies but also AIR BOMBARDMENT and AIR MOBILISATION.

One will say we have done our homework but the longhouse folks and villages want to see todays and hear promises not last weeks or a month ago. The mode of transportation of course is just one of the many disadvantages the rural opposition parties faced and BN does indeed can consider still its FIXED DEPOSIT.

A political analyst sms to audie61 and it said,’SPDP party stand is to follow directive of top BN leaders and to stay cool and will listen to grouses within party walls.” If this is not good enough we reposts this newspaper article at the height of PRS crisis for the many Stubborn and Hidden Hands to look at themselves in the mirror. Some will fall by the wayside and are Lambs to be slaughtered.

We will publish as and when it affects when the rakyat are shortchanged and the politicians needs to swallow their pride and serve the people who put them in the positions in the first place.

 The article:-

The Larry Sng faction told the SPDP delegation at the start of the talk last night that to ensure that the merger does take place Larry would support Mawan to head the merged entity.

This was the first official meeting between the two sides since the issue of merger was first brought up before the last State Elections in May 2006.It was also the first between SPDP led by state Social Development Minister William Mawan and any of the factions in PRS.

The other PRS faction led by state Land Development Minister  Dr James Masing prefer to hold merger talks only after the internal problems in PRS have been resolved.

However, the decision to go ahead inspite of  the Masing faction’s stand to start what a Sng faction leader described as exploratory talked arranged at short notice had been at the urging of the ‘top leaders’ of the Barisan Nasional.

He added that a follow-up meeting between the two sides was expected to take place on November 18 before the start of the state assembly sitting in Kuching the following day.

Yesterday’s meeting at a private room of a Thai restaurant at KLCC started at 7.30 pm and lasted three hours.

The SPDP side was led by its deputy president Peter Nyarok, who is also its merger talks committee chairperson and an assistant minister, and the PRS’ Larry Sng faction was led by PRS deputy president Jimmy Donald, who is also Sri Aman Member of Parliament and party merger talks committee chairperson.

Among those present were  SPDP senior vice president and Tasik Biru state assemblyperson Peter Nansian, SPDP secretary-general and assistant minister Sylvester Entrie, and SPDP supreme council members Nelson Ballang (who is Be’kelalan state assemblyperson) ,Paulus Ngumbang (state assemblyperson for Batau Danau) and Liew Ah Lek.

The PRS delegation included secretary-general aligned to the Sng faction  Sidi Munan, deputy secretary-general Audie Chua, state assemblyperson for Ngemah Gabriel Adit, supreme council member and Lubok Antu Member of Parliament Jawah Gerang and PRS faction wanita chief Josephine Mawat.

‘We discussed the fundamentals on how we should take the merger proposal forward,’ was how one of those who attended the meeting told Malaysiakini today.

Other sources said that SPDP would also try to reach out to the other PRS faction.

The Larry Sng faction told the SPDP delegation at the start of the talk last night that to ensure that the merger does take place Larry would support Mawan to head the merged entity.

A merger of the two parties will make it the second strongest in the four-member state ruling coalition in terms of the number of elected representatives.

Deputy Foreign Minister and partyless Member of Parliament for Julau Joseph Salang told the media recently that he was considering joining PRS once the internal problems of the party had been resolved and when the merger between the two parties had been decided.

‘Salang is a friendly party,’ said a PRS faction aligned to the Sng faction, when asked whether Salang and his supporters were also discussed at last night’s party.

The Masing faction was not immediately available for comment on the lastest development.

Will the 7th of March merger talks go on? We will know in due course as the date is fast drawing near.

A concerned BN members said,”No need to hurry as it has already taken too long and its better to solve the problems within than to drag others into the fold and on top of it we are hearing now on the ground and echoing and reverberating very loudly like the earthquakes and with high seismic readings,”PRS is having 18 YBs altogether,Bigger than SUPP and SPDP is now a mosquito party” Is this healthy….??

There will be sacrificial LAMBS  and BN will ensure that the HIDDEN HANDS are sent to be chopped. Politics will not take any prisoners and many have paid a price for it.

In the true sense of a seasoned politician and very well advised by the the BN Top Hierarchy and SPDP political strategists “Mawans non confrontational stance is very much in the spirit of BN and has won admirers from many SPDP supporters, friends and foes alike and most importantly the press media personnels.

The Separatists 5 has truely gone against the “wishes and broke party discipline” but still Mawan has not given up HOPE on them returning  home to SPDP and has given them a LEEWAY.

{ The main stream media tomorrow will have the statements and photographs of the merger letter. Some Headlines tomorrow:-

  • Some will say the 5 plus 3 BOYCOTT the meeting
  • Also they have placed their heart in PRS.
  • Also this could be one of the headlines they are checking PRS out..Garek.garek,garek saja)

audie61 interviewed the Party President just after the Press Conference and he said,”I am an accomodating person but there are of course limits to what and how much one can take. I am no different and I do FEEL for them as they have been misled and misinformed.

There must be a LEEWAY for them to move and I am providing that path for them and I have forgiven, hope and accepted the fact that they are using their own individual initiatives. Politics is about agreement and not about disagreement and we have to be ABOVE IT ALL and sometimes we have to “SWALLOW OUR PRIDE AND EGO“.I have already mentioned in the Press Conference that I will bear no grudges and as such al incumbents will not be replaced in the coming elections.

As a matter of fact the Supreme Council has to thanked them Separatists 5 for ensuring SPDP will have all the bureaus in place. Thats why we are revamping and making sure this episode is not repeated an we have put in place an independant group to oversee the DISCIPLINARY COMMITTEE. They are the following and they will be taking the neceessary actions if and when necessary against Party members who crossed the line.

  •  Francis Wong
  •  Dr Syafig Abdullah
  • Dr.Roland Mattu
  • Vincent Tan
  • Puan Theresa Udam

We also know that Peter Nyarok My deputy and Chairman of SPDP merger committee will be meeting up with Billy Abit Joo PRS Merger Committtee Chairman on 7th March 2010 and we take it from there. He has put a committee together and which has been approved by the Supreme Council today.

We thanked the 5 plus 3 for their efforts and they need to report back to the SPDP merger committtee on their findings. Isn’t this fair and polite says Mawan….?? The following are the 8 party officials who will be heading the SPDP team

  • Peter Nyarok- Chairman
  • Jacob Dungau Sagan
  • Jelaing Ak.Mersat
  • Nelson Balang Rining
  • Pau Chiong Umg
  • Wong Anak Judat
  • Robert Ayu

Mawan ended by saying that the Solidarity Dinner for 3500 party members and component BN supporters at the Borneo Convention Centre in May will be an SPDP major event in preparation for the upcoming STATE ELECTIONS. All will be invited and that includes them “5 plus 3” he said in jest……………
