Spat on Sarawak’s Rights turns to #Fakenews

It’s gone Viral and “someone”has taken  this opportunity to capitalize” on the subject matter in hand. The Chief Minister’s office has issued a statement to stop the rumours and the #FAKENEWS.

This must have been the result of that”someone”using the “PALOI” issue (see below) to get  even with the Chief Minister.

afake newsThe recent public spat between the controversial Dewan Rakyat speaker Pandikar Amin Mulia and Chief Minister Abang Johari Abang Openg with regards to a public debate challenge on the “importance” of the Malaysian Agreement 1963 on the rightful status of Sabah and Sarawak.

The exchange got heated up and names were even thrown around, with the chief minister calling the speaker “paloi,” a local term for “stupid.

Santubong MP 193 Mendapat Sokongan

Sarawakians at large are very proud of our Minister of Natural Resources and Environment (NRE) and MP Santubong. He has indeed fulfilled all the criteria to be renominated for another term in office. Those who know him well knows that he doesn’t mince his works and is a ‘doer
MP193In all his appointments in any department in the Federal cabinet be it previously as deputy speaker, deputy home minister and now Natural resources Minister he has performed above expectations.
One not only see him in the social media space but also see him literally on the ground visiting and listening to his constituents in Santubong Parliamentary constituency. Even his officers and party colleagues have to play ‘catch up” with him when he is on the ground and he moves like a man on a mission reaching out to everyone.
He has the charisma, a very loyal party man, hardworking and a very able professional Minister in the Federal cabinet.
It is without a doubt that many constituents in  P193 Santubong would want him to serve another term and to the ruling coalition Barisan Nasional he is indeed a very “Winnable Candidate”and will deliver the seat to them.

Let the people of P193 continue to benefit from the exemplary MP Junaidi and a man who ‘walks his talk” to everyone and delivers without much fanfare.

Don’t Destroy the Fort P205..!!

dont destroy the fort“Hancurkan Kubu Kuat BN..!!” Haven’t we heard this rallying cry before?

This must be the ultimately aim of the Opposition party PKR for the Parliamentary Seat of Saratok. Without a shadow of a doubt no one can deny that PKR have their roots nicely buried in the Krian State Seats. The 3″Ks” State seats of Krian,Kalaka and Kabong makes up the Parliamentary seat of Saratok. The increased speculations that there is a very ‘ likely chance” that one of the lobbyists would replace the incumbent BN MP have made PKR all the more hungrier to capture the Saratok Seat.

However BN have got wind of the opposition intentions. The writing is on the wall and the previous article ended with “BN Top Leadership would be very cautious and the winnable seats would not be sacrificed for any party or any individuals selfish needs.” Read further at ( https://audie61.wordpress.com/2017/08/15/sympathiser-for-pkr-for-bn-p205-saratok/)

The Incumbent MP knows that the party PDP has the 3 lobbyists making their presence felt in the area and he ‘wished them well, encourages them as it is their democratic right but he reminded them that there is line that they should not cross. They must not elbow out the incumbent in this BN stronghold and on top of that not even WEAKENING the opposition. The lobbyists must also not play in the hands of the opposition.”

audie61 spoke to the MP and he added further,”Don’t destroy the Fort and further fuelled a cauldron of anger‘. It must be told though that during the dark days of Saratok Parliamentary seat not many gave the Mawan much hope against the PKR Ali Biju who SLAYED an Assistant Minister in Peter Nyarok in the State Elections.

Ali was unstoppable and very popular at that time and he was going for a bigger scalp in a Full State Minister who was a first timer in the Parliamentary seat. The Prime Minister came down to Saratok during the 2nd day of campaigning to assist as he too would not want to lose this seat to PKR. Today,PM still keeps his radar open on the work carried out by the incumbent and has placed Saratok very close to his heart.

The BN top hierarchy knows very well that in his first term as Parliamentarian the incumbent has done tremendously well and have even picked up an award. The award is a recognition which even the party PDP cannot overlooked. This cannot be ignored.  (  http://www.theborneopost.com/2014/12/10/award-for-saratok-kudos-for-mawan/  )

audie61 asked Mawan on his current relationship with PDP President  Tiong? We are still very good friends and politically we are on the same side which is Barisan Nasional. Obviously, there is still very much the glimmer of hope that the Party President Tiong and Mawan have something in common. The enemy is not inside but outside in PKR who are quietly infiltrating and using the lobbyists against the Incumbent MP.

There is a lot at stake for BN and they will not want to be drawn into a mess at a later stage which according to INFORMED AND INTELLIGENCE SOURCES could materialise. Sarawak BN would want to deliver this seat too and they will consider all options and to drop the incumbent WITHOUT EVEN going for ‘renewed patching up of the leaders in question” would be doing injustice to the BN democratic system.

Morover, Mawan has been very consistent in ensuring that most of the policies are in tandem with the government of the day and many programmes by various agencies in the parliamentary area are successfully carried out . Appropriately without question BN will ensure that Mawan and Tiong see eye to eye to defeat the common enemy in PKR.

It would also certainly be a very wise political judgement  if one of the lobbyists own up to be under the internship of the Incumbent and stay focused to help BN retain this seat in GE14 and await his turn. The BN hierarchy knows that the Incumbent MP is a WINNABLE AND TRUE BN LOYALIST. The person who assisted the MP Incumbent would not be in the political wilderness but will have an added advantage in his profiling.

The Incumbent MP is an experienced politician and has served in various state ministries and he stood in the Saratok seat during the CRITICAL INFIGHTING of SPDP. As a former President he still have fond memories of the party and he knows BN would want to win this seat at all cost. The Seat matters and BN will not jeorpadise it.

There are no buts and ifs and BN knows that PKR would want to capitalise on any weakness to win this seat P205.

Destroying the Fort would be defeat not only to BN but will be a total loss of the Development plans which the incumbent have put forward in Parliament. When he decides to step aside the next MP of Saratok will benefit greatly. It will be a continuity for the better good of Saratok.

The P205 FORT will remain a BN Bastion if all parties are working together to stop the opposition in their tracks.

Loyalty and Winnability are the conclusive attributes for BN candidacy.

Paul,”Missed Opportunity” Mawan,”Effective Decision”

1spdp.jpgThe President of PDP Tiong have finally been ‘smoked out of his fox hole‘ by the interview conducted by Borneo Posts Peter Sibon.

Tiong as President, says a former youth member.”he has to come out with a statement or say something to appease the party loyalists and aspirants or they will all lost hope of their lobbying for their “traditional seats”for GE14.  Moreover he also touched on Anyi who needs to be work harder to improve his performance and this would not give motivation to yet another incumbent MP.Will Nogeh sail through that is another tricky question?

This is a political decision which PM Najib himself would and could easily advised Tiong,”the quality of  decision is like the well-timed swoop of a falcon..” However,Najib knows that Tiong is very much in a hurry to wrap up this “imbroglio” and informed his colleagues in BN that all is under control.

He himself is not 100% safe and looking over his shoulders in Bintulu or else he would not have talked about delineation exercise. We know that he won in 2013 with voters of 26458 against DAP John Brian Anthony garnering 19025.

Meanwhile audie61 made two separate phone calls one each to Paul Igai and William Mawan. Paul said its a ‘missed opportunity for reconciliation” as the momentum was there after the Pahang BN retreat. The PM had said in so many words that on Mawan’s case  it had to be done ‘fast”.

When questioned further on Tiong ‘s statement he gave a positive answer as ‘all is not lost” He also mentioned that Mawan would be welcome back with open arms and will not be dropped as an incumbent. Of course Paul knows very well what transpired too in the last state elections when Mawan was fielded as a direct BN candidate.  He also told us that there are too many ‘piranhas” swimming around and lurking around the President.

Before we said thank you for his inputs Paul said,’please read his statement which was published a few days ago.”

If we read it politically PDP would not want this seat to fall to another BN component party. They have every right to claim the traditional seat and the press release is a strong enough statement to justify .

apaul

We managed to track down Mawan who after coming back from Kuala Lumpur made his way to Kabong his MP constituency and now is on his way to Pakan for his DUN duties. audie61 asked him on the newspaper articles which PDP has made and he said ,”

‘I am serving both the people in my constituency and am more interested in getting down to the grassroots than doing petty politicking.

I have been elected to serve and am doing just that. The interest of Barisan Nasional is more important as we approach the GE14 and he said that he is so “entrenched in Saratok” that he will not take a step backward.

His main task is to consolidate all the groupings that exist in Saratok and to ensure that seat remains BN after GE14.

We were informed by our reliable sources that PDP President Tiong has been misinformed and illadvised on the situation on the ground. Mawan said ,’its up to Tiong to camp in Saratok for week or so and find out for himself instead of listening to hearsay’s which will do no good to Barisan Nasional.” He should come unnoticed quietly and he will know the real situation on the ground.

Mawan’s phone was breaking up as reception was not very clear he said,”in any elections, the product of information, analysis and critically the EFFECTIVE DECISION to act is important. This is a”bonus”safe seat for BN as he is the incumbent and he has worked hard to solidfy the seat for BN for GE14.”

Did Tiong make the effective decision and timing or will Tiong live to regret his actions?

Tiong knows the final say will rest with the State BN Chairman Abang Jo and PM Najib as the BN Chairman and for them to Sacrifice “WINNABILITY WITH LOYALTY” with a new and untested candidate is not exactly on their menu.

PM and CM will not want to go on the back foot and knows that Mawan will deliver the seat when called upon. PM himself  came down in 2013 when Mawan was at his lowest peak and he campaigned for Mawan to sail through against a “worthy opponent” in Ali Biju of PKR and other detractors who were hell bent of destroying and finishing off the then SPDP President.

PM Najib and CM Abang Jo will take all this factors into consideration and Paul could not have put it more nicely,”all is not lost

A Formidable and Winnable BN Quartet

Oh No! Is this necessary to put a message across.

anajibjo.jpgHave these 4 Parliamentarians from PDP suddenly being caricatured ?

Surely, one cannot take them only as face value as between them staying United as a Formidable Force towards GE14 will make PM Najib’s work as Barisan Chairman much easier.

Tiong and Mawan carry with them many years of experience going into an election and Nogeh and Anyi would certainly benefit as they enter into the election ring for only the 2nd time.

Working together and responding to the ground level will very much be in the minds of Sarawak BN Chairman Abang Jo and National Barisan Chairman Najib Razak for this “Formidable Winnable Quartet”.  BN will not take the chance of changing any of the 4 faces as it will backlash unnecessary and create a not so favourable “HEADACHE” for the Barisan Nasional .

Of course in any election its not a certainty SURE WIN for any candidate but they will be a thorough breakdown on each individual candidacy and the constituency they represent.                                    These 4 incumbent candidates :-

P192  Dato Anthony Nogeh  Gumbek ( Mas Gading)

P205 Tan Sri William Mawan Ikom (Saratok)

P217 Dato Seri Tiong King Sing (Bintulu)

P220 Tuan Anyi Ngau (Baram)

Barisan Nasional will come to consensus and even the Party President in a telephone interview was quick to point out that especially to the candidacy of William Mawan BN MP Saratok and ADUN Pakan.

The specific question of course the candidacy of Mawan to be fielded as candidate. In  his usual no nonsense and direct answer DS Tiong said,”It’s not for me to decide . It’s for the Prime Minister to decide.”

Mawan in a Press Statement have this to say on Saratok Parliamentary seat,” I am fully Entrenched in Servicing Saratok and I am not taking a step backward. I have moved so far and therefore it is almost impossible to make a RETREAT.”

There are many who are working tirelessly to see this uneasy political chapter to come to a an amicable solution and to see this divide be history. The latest to come out openly came from Tasik Biru YB and Supreme Council member Datuk Henry Jinep who gave a clear  political statement ,”It’s up to the BN leadership to decide and the party PDP have stacked their claim.”

aspdp

Enough is enough and this political uncertainty must be put to the back burners as the BN goes into the GE14. Political wisdom and intervention will be used by both the top BN leaders to ensure that the 4 incumbent parliamentarians will be returned as MP after the General Election.

The critical advantage of fielding the 4 Formidable Incumbents by BN gives added advantage and the smell of victory will not be down to “CHANCES” The voters in this constituency will want to see their Member of Parliament who have worked the ground and are approachable by all sections of the the community.

Without a doubt, PM Najib and CM Abang Jo will not have many ‘sleepless nights‘ when these 4 Formidable and Winnable BN Quartet is finalised.

Shafie Apdal…WHY.??

ashafieIts very unusual for someone like audie61 to write about our Neighbours Sabah’s intention of changing their ruling State Government. We do understand that politics do take a lot of different forms like water to reach its intended end.

However as the above picture shows we do take it seriously when  Parti Warisan Sabah president says ,”“Unlike voters in Sarawak where BN has inculcated fear in them, Sabahans are risk-takers. They are saying: ‘Don’t take us for granted’.

The full text of the interview can be found here  http://www.malaysia-chronicle.com/sabah-will-fall-shafie-promises-najib-i-know-you-you-dont-dare-take-risks/

Seriously, Mr.President when did BN inculcate fear in the voters during the 11th Sarawak State Election wherby the late Adenan Satem was the Chief Minister. The late Chief Minister went to the areas where the opposition was strong and used his wit, charm and charisma to sway the voters to vote for Barisan Nasional. Did he use his iron fist and harsh words? No,No,No.

We followed him in his campaign trail throughout and we are very pleased that he was very much loved by the people and he served BN with commitment, responsibilty and we are very proud of him.

Today we have a Chief Minister in Abang Jo who is following the late Adenan’s footsteps in getting down to the people and serving their needs. Tell us Shafie Apdal,” Will Abang Jo also inculcate fear to the voters? He is afterall Sarawak State Barisan Nasional leader.

If you want to topple the BN Sabah Government please dont use Sarawak Voters as scape goats or trying to paint a bad picture of Sarawakians. We have weighed our options well and we will not throw away our stability, peace and harmonious living for the sake of disunity and uncertainty.

Our Sarawak State Government is a proven identity and you might learn a thing or two politically from us.

Henceforth Mr. President of Warisan ,SARAWAK VOTERS WILL NOT BE  DRIVEN BY FEAR NOR INTIMIDATION.

Adenan Are We Missing Something?

asupppCM Adenan have already called both parties to sort out their differences?Who and Which party is now trying to play the “good guy” and the “bad guy”?Truth be told says a political analyst the Rakyat will still turn their backs on them as both are still at each other throat’s and its a”Never Ending Battle”.

The Rakyat have taken to Adenan’s style and approach in terms of his way of governance and no nonsense approach on state matters. He have won many fence sitters to believe in his ways but it does seem for his popularity to turn to votes for both the parties it will still be a herculean tasks.

As a blogger Bugi Wijaya puts it.”We are the New Media truthtellers” We are not for the money but we have what it takes to full blown the story or facts just for everyone to see. Believe it or not and if its good enough it will sell.” https://audie61.wordpress.com/2013/08/11/bloggerstruthtellersbloodsuckers-or-shit-stirrers-part-1/

Adenan, we know we are not missing anything but the two rival factions within the BN stable are. You don’t need a Harvard or an Oxford Political Scientist to tell you ,Sir…!!! The Truth hurts…

“No clear Line in Politics ..Theory yes!”

aacca1A senior political analyst said to audie61,”There is no clear line in politics. He also made a clarification regarding PBDS candidates who stood in 1987 and 1991. During the Ming Court 1987, PBDS was at odds with Taib Mahmud and they joined forces with PERMAS to try to oust the then Chief Minister. PBDS leaders held positions in the Federal BN Government during this period but were outside BN in the State.”

So the headline on the article which is extracted fully Masing”Get this clear, Sarawak BN does not include Teras.UPP” leaves very much to be desired. The writer should have clarified the Minister’s statement instead of agreeing fully.

A source telephoned audie61 and even said,” the name of the game is that Masing only wants to rid off all challengers so that the DCM posts is within his reach. Fair enough to harp about it,but isn’t that challenging the Chief Minister’s statement of BN plus in the present ruling government?” PBB,SUPP,PRS and SPDP are of course the BN coalition but TERAS and UPP are helmed also by BN assemblyman and their members.

Teras,UPP are not anti-BN are they now? In political theory they are but politics is never a clear line.

The final candidacy will be very much to the Chief Minister wouldn’t it be? The 3 Presidents of the party will be giving their names of their candidates and its up to CM Adenan to give the nod to all the lists submitted. CM Adenan will want winnable candidates for all those seats which BN will be contesting. Isn’t that his decision plus inputs from the BN coalition members and his strategists?

Maybe, for the record audie61 would not know yet as they are not sitting in the Chief Minister’s chair.By the way,we are not stalking the writer but only asking why is that his focus is only UPP and in particular TERAS.

The full article which has been extracted.

The people in Parti Tenaga Rakyat Sarawak (Teras) and United People’s Party (UPP) will find BN’s door wide open if they take the cue from PRS president Dr James Masing’s statement on Oct 5. Masing had said the current political scenario in the state would not be an issue if the people concerned were not only thinking of themselves. The current stalemate could easily be settled if those involved were serious in serving their constituents. “In the 12th general election, we had a situation in Julau. It’s PRS seat and (Datuk) Joseph Salang wanted to stand as BN candidate but he was not a member of PRS.

So was Kanowit. It’s a BN seat and (Datuk) Aaron Dagang wanted to stand as a BN candidate but I said it’s a PRS seat. “So I went to see (then Chief Minister) Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud. Sir, I have a problem. Julau and Kanowit are my party’s seats, but the guys who want to stand there are not from BN. What am I going to do? “He said: ‘It’s simple, ask them to join you’. So I talked to Joseph Salang and Aaron Dagang to join us, which they did,” Masing was quoted as saying.

He said the reason Salang and Aron agreed to his proposal for them to join PRS was because they had the voters’ interest in mind. Masing further added: “So that’s how I solved the problem. Why make it so difficult, I cannot understand it because they think of what there is for them and not for the people who vote for them.

That’s the difference.” By “they” he can only mean the people in Teras – William Mawan, Peter Nansian, Sylvester Entri, Rosey Yunus and Paulus Palu Gumbang – and those in UPP – Wong Soon Koh, Dr Jerip Susil, Ranum Mina and Dr Johnical Rayong. Mawan’s declaration of “I am always Barisan, Barisan, and Barisan, through and through” will be seen as only political rhetoric if he keeps insisting Teras is a member of BN whether or not some component members of the ruling coalition agree.

Similarly, Wong’s BN posture cannot be genuine if he thinks UPP is the sole representative of the Chinese community and brushes aside Sarawak United People’s Party’s (SUPP) presence in the ruling coalition. Mawan and Wong must not think for a while that Teras and UPP are so important to BN that the ruling coalition will not hesitate to expel Sarawak Progressive Democratic Party (SPDP) and SUPP just to facilitate the admission of the so-called BN-friendly parties.

BN will not do that to its component members not only because that’s not how BN solves differences in the coalition but also because there are people who know too well the difficulty, or rather the impossibility, of winning in the election if they don’t stand on a BN ticket.

I think that’s what Masing was hinting at when he said anyone aspiring to be BN candidates should not just rely on the ‘dacing’ (scale) symbol to win seats, but more on their own popularity. Who in Teras will dare say they can win even without having to be on the side of the BN?

Mawan, whose election debut was as a DAP candidate, certainly can vouch that the surest way to lose is as an opposition candidate like he once was. Who in UPP, with the exception of Rayong, dare claim they don’t need to use the ‘dacing’ symbol to win in the coming state election? Rayong won the Engkilili state seat under opposition Sarawak National Party (SNAP) ticket in 2006 while Masing stood on Parti Bansa Dayak Sarawak (PBDS) ticket against the BN twice – in 1987 and 1991. “

The real test of winnability is the ability to win without the use of BN symbol, especially in rural areas. So non-BN candidates cannot be supported by the BN political organisations until and unless they have been admitted to BN; otherwise BN is seen as fighting against the very laws it created,” Masing had said in his Oct 5 statement.

Right at this moment, Teras and UPP are not components of BN, until and unless they have been admitted into the BN, their winnability is not only suspect but irrelevant. However, the Teras and UPP people can make their winnability relevant if they are willing to play by the BN’s rule.

And Masing has just set the tone, if BN and your voters are your prime concern, then swallow your pride and play by BN’s rule. In Sarawak, that rule is set down by Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB), PRS, SUPP and SPDP. It can’t be any clearer, Teras and UPP can’t be so dumb not to understand that. –
