Sarawak Trilogy~Road to 22nd Floor-(Part 2).”The Chair.”

In Part 2 of the Sarawak trilogy our Emeritus Professor  said to audie61 ” the dayaks are moving silently but in togetherness and hoping that one of their very own will have the Coveted “Chair”. He said if you still have any doubts call this particular opposition leader and to reconfirm with him.

We called YB See Chee How the PKR assemblyman of N11 Batu Lintang and he reaffirmed,” BN has won the mandate of the people and they will rule for the next 4 half years until the next State elections. Whoever sits as Chief Minister it is very much in the hands of the BN coalition. Yea,the people have spoken for now.”

We asked if he has any preferences as enquired by Emeritus Professor and he said of course and you know lah. I don’t need to spell it out and that we will see if it materialises sooner rather than later. We are all fighting for our chair but once we have won our coalition parties will surely eye the “coveted”Chair. Its no different from BN and its up to them to sort it out themselves.

Emeritus Professor said you see,” What is wrong if Jabu,Masing and Mawan and even Uggah have all the intentions of working and grabbing the chair which will come with it the power to run the state administration. Abang Jo and Awang Tengah will try to put all barricades in front of the ‘dayak’ leaders who aspire to grab the chair.

It is no more a secret that in the UMNO circles Abang Johari looks a clear favourite for the chair if a Malay leader is looked upon to break the reins of the Melanau led rule for the pasts 41 years eversince 7th of July 1970.

Awang tengah will tend to differ. He has build a solid team of legislators behind him and being CM Taibs “delivery boy” he has build up his own arsenal of wealth and influence to have the UMNO hierarchy bending down on their knees. Even Taibs former bro in law will seem to have missed the ‘boat” once again. Having said that Douglas Uggah is seen as a potential darkhorse if the dayaks pull out a fast one on the BN adminstation. Tengah knows it too well and with his Federal links Uggah might just cross the line ahead of Tengah.

Tengah now has not only try to outmaneuver Jabu but also Uggah and as far as the corridors of power in PutraJaya. The tussling for Dayak or Malay CM is in high gear. CM Taib has kept his silence and is watching every move, steps and actions by his colleagues who are ever so willing to take over his Chair.

One particular conspiracy which has reached the CMs ears is that on Bustari Yusuf a well connected businessman to the Najib administration. He has placed high hopes that if all fails on the Jabus,Joharis, Tengahs or even Uggahs the person who has the rightful heir should be his younger brother Fadillah Yusoff. Fadillah a longshot might justs be the answer to UMNO’s dream of coming ashore to Sarawak and building bases for a long stay.

 Is Fadillah the answer..?

Whoever wants to stay on as leader in UMNO needs the mandate from the party and Najib, Muhyddin,Hishamuddin or others knows very well.If UMNO sets up 31 other divisions in Sarawak it will have a major say in the running of the party. The GE 13 will be a watershed for UMNO as it faces a serious threat from the opposition to remain in power. Sarawak’s CM successor will have a very meaningful and tasks ahead in the lifeline of UMNO Malaysia.

We were told in so many words that a certain ” bug” was placed into the office of the Prime Minister when some Sarawak leaders came a calling. This was all related to us by our source who walks the corridors of the PM department. A highly sophisticated device was tested. It was done to protect the PM in office as it would deflect any other devices which were meant to “‘record the coversations”

Cautious that their actions were  monitored by CM Taib they all went privately under the guises of some important developments in Sarawak. {Even for that matter SUPP leader George Chan visit before going off to London on a “Gag order” for his party leaks aplenty on recorded voices were heard coming out from Putrajaya.}

Masing and Mawan were all sent under covert operations to Najibs office after our dear friend DCM Jabu has made his way to Putrajaya. The call for a dayak leader was very strong as the perception of Sarawak dayaks was for one of their own. PM as a leader was fed with the information from his special officers and had to investigate further. Jabu who was summoned and during the conversation Jabu was asked specifically if the position opens up will he take it.

PM casually asked him and without even a blink of an eye he said,”me of course and why not.” The oppostion parties are harping on dayak leaders and who better than him. In his mind he cannot afford to have Masing and Mawan to overtake him and he also knows that Uggah is eyeing his deputy posts. He needs to dispel all doubts that he is more than capable having served as deputy to Taib where he remains as”trustsworthy”as ever.

He knows all will be reported back to CM Taib like all meetings but unknowingly he was ‘bugged“. It is a known fact as an obedient deputy he has shamelessly said in a DUN sitting “yang di kasihi a record 49 times”it will be just fine and he as always will have Taib again in his hand.

Did his political strategists saw this coming what’s more in all places in Betong..?

Taib knew about the seemingly”harmless plot” but he quickly moved to put his deputy in place by saying,” If I step down so will Jabu.” It has pained Jabu  till today and as a fighter and ruthless as they come Jabu  will not go down without a fight. The political wheeling and dealing by Putrajaya was not about to get Taib off guard.

He has been informed too that Masing and Mawan been asked similar questions which the PM rephrased “given the chance would you take the high chair which is the CM seat.? None of them were fools and they answered yes but with your kind blessings sir. This to CM Taib was the window which he had and he shifted gears and threw caution to the wind.

Time though not on his side he went through the adminstrative matters as if nothing has happened and he brushed aside what dirt comes his way intentionally. Taib was at his bests and Jabu was relieved to say the least. Jabu did not know that further political dangers were lurking around and he will be sliced open like a clean cut watermelon again.

In the lasts supreme Council meeting CM Taib played another of his card. He justs mentioned to the whole council minus a few potential CM shortlisted candidates that he is seriously looking into the matter of stepping down and said this should remain within these four walls only. How often have we heard politicians saying,”Please don’t tell anyone.?What happens..!!” surely it will not spill out but it didnt lasts very long.

His deputy knowing that he needs to regain the trusts of his boss was quick to ask him to stay on and that they still need his wisdom and astute leadership. Jabu was thrusts in the forefront again and he was pushing his message across.

CM Taib does not like to be pushed to a corner and Jabu did not have a choice and eventhough there were no seconders Jabu had to do it or face being left in the cold. Jabu having faith in his intuition knows that if by any “unwelcome news” he will be the default CM for a period of time{good enough for him} as George Chan has been removed by the electorate.

One must always take note that CM Taib will eventually let go but on his own terms and will not take too kindly by being unceremoniously overtaken. Jabu’s actions has made Taib biting back says an aide “You can’t try to force him as he knows how to turn the tables on you, as he had done in the past. Some political hopefuls tried to force him out but in the end, they ended up in political oblivion.”

Will Masing put on a late charge to PM? Masing would love to argue with that as he has 8 Aduns and 6 MPs with him and Jabu does not even have the majority of dayaks assemblyman with him in PBB. Jabu will certainly say without a doubt,”It’s mine as PBB has 35 unblemished record of wins in the lasts State elections while Masing losts Pelagus to an independant.”

The independant candidate George Lagongs role is being used to hold Masing at knives edge and Masing had told PM Najib that he will deliver all PRS seats prior to that. Jabu knows the Masing is within control for the time being and he will even offer Masing the DCM and Finance Ministers portfolio.

Jabu is determined to make sure that he wraps it all up and he knows William Mawan is a distant second and he will offer him a more senior posts to appease him. To check Awang Tengah he will have to offer the DCM posts and Abang Johari the Governors position in due course.

Will Tengah justs accept that too.?

The Chair will certainly take a lot of beating from now on until the movements of the dayaks and Tengahs have stopped working in overdrive. Fadillah’s brother is dangling the carrot in front of Najib, others in KL and in Putrajaya that his brother represents the new face of sarawak and UMNO will win more upcoming elections with him at the helm.

The person to sit in the chair remains a very big mystery to some but the inner circles and very close aides to CM and PM haved had their their lips sealed. Any disclosures will have the OSA thrown at them not from afar but pasted in their faces. Its a matter of time CM Taib relinquishes but a close aide of Masing said,”I bet you he will never let go and he will see it through to the end.”

Jabu is at a delicate position and his movements are double checked. If he cant get what he wants he will continue with CM and staying as No.2.He has already been found out eventhough his intentions were somewhat for the good of the State of Sarawak. He has in a way betrayed not only the trusts of his boss but his overplay in his political moves in stopping Masing,Mawan,Jo,Uggah,Tengah and “Bustari=Fadillah”  has had a devastating effect.

Jabu has over enthusiastically declared that he is the rightful heir to the chair but Abang Johari like Awang Tengah would not have it easy for Jabu to get away with it. A new unknown face would even be thrusts forward even giving the frontrunners gasping for air. Jabu will not justs let the chair by pass him so easily and his innermosts brain juices is telling him

“THATS MINE AND MINE ONLY”

Sarawak Trilogy ~ Road to 22nd Floor (Part 1) : Dayaks..?

The successor to Taibs Mahmuds chair in the 22nd floor is the talk of the town in the last few days. The passing of two Sarawak Patriots-James Wong and Tra Zehnder has even overshadowed the bullet train tragedy in China in which over 36 lives were losts. Why 22nd Floor..?? {We have the US”Oval Office” UK ” No.10 Downing street” and nearer home Malaysia”Putrajaya.“}

This is the floor where the State administration of the Chief Ministers Office is and where many decisions have been thought of and are made by the CM in office. Our Emeritus professor questioned audie61,”Who will the Dayaks accept assuming he names his successor.?”

There are 3 A’s being mentioned while another “A” watches from the wings. The Sarawak bookmakers have closed their ‘bets” on these three frontrunners. The 3 A Batteries which are still flickering despite been promised so much since 1995 when the CM said he is grooming a successor.

Of course there were others who were potentially CM material in the names of Effendy Norwawi and Abang Abu Bakar but they have since been overtaken by the political realities of the day. The 3 “As” are none other than Adenan,Abang and Awang. There are fondly named as such but each has a nick name closely associated and lingers with them.

We know a bit more than what we are going to write as some of it are “CLASSIFIED” or we will be in hot soup similar to the blogger sued by Rais Yatim. Gutter or personal politics is not our forte but we love to intrique and thats why former MP Sim Kwang Yang said,”give us more details so we can elaborate.”However we have steadfastly maintain the golden rule taught by our late journalist friend SC Chan to tell them “Isn’t it better for me to know and you to find out.?”

Why the dayaks? Of course In Sarawak they make up the majority in population and ever since Jugah,Tawi Sli,Ningkan it has been taken over by the Melanaus. Surely, its high time a Malay leader take over and the 3 persons in question fits the bill perfectly.

PBB being the mainstay of the BN coalition will be the main player in the successors quests for the top chair but its still the people of Sarawak and the warlords who will determine who succeeds Taib. Taibs 48 years in office brings another page to the Taibs book to the handing over and that is WHEN?  The dayaks within the BN coalition and  in PBB will have a big say no matter how CM Taib wants. Of late, the dayaks have been manouvering and are in complete reverse to CMs thoughts.

In front of him its all yes but when they gather amongst the elite dayaks they say why should they just give him the privelege and chance to name his successor. We should take back what is ours is the gameplan now. The dayaks can say what they want but in terms of“political cloud and wealth” they are still struggling miles away. This factor alone puts us on the platform to see who gets the better odds to stay ahead in the eyes of the BOOKMAKERS.

Adenan Satem experienced veteran who has served both State and Federal is known amongst the younger set of dayaks as ‘YB Robot”.His walk and actions are so similar to a robotic dance sequence and he seems to be controlled by someone from another room invisible to all. His relationship at the bests of times has not been very cordial with the Chief Minister and he has had his differences with the top man. It seems that all the sandiwaras being played out are part and parcel of the “melanau dynasties” grip of power. The family is getting bigger each year and anyone of the Tun/Taib proteges are ever ready to be given the chair but still the dayaks are determined not to see it happen. Our Part 2 will shed more light to this.

Abang Johari has practically been through every department in the State but his cronies says their boss path are still very clouded and he needs to wipe the ‘mists” from his spectacles. His falling out and his ‘supposedly”tendered resignation when Effendy did not seem to work well with him has put a strong obstacle for him.The dayaks call him “YB Hampir Dekat Aja” The dayaks does feel comfortable with him alone helming the chair but its his ‘cronies, business partners” which has hampered his assension to the throne. These few people who names are withheld needs to be stay out of the way as they stand out even in darkness like a beacon of light from the LIGHTHOUSE.

The dayaks still look upon Abang Jo as a man who they can put their hopes on in so far as if the vacancy is made available not by choice but by destiny. There remains a single ray of light across the darkened pathway which Abang Jo needs to take to overcome the odds. The dayaks will have their utmosts reservations in others being considered as they too will have juggle and ensure the ‘mists” is wiped off his spectacles.

Awang Tengah seems to be CMs favourite “delivery boy” which is nothing new in the Melanau inner circles. He is being used to balance up the 2 “As” which depicts his name “inbetween” but his rise to stardom has been hampered by ‘land grabbing issues” and also cutting loose CM’s trusted lieutenants and having a hand in all three BN political parties. The ruthless streak that Tengah has is being turned round against him. The dayaks are looking at his inlaws and brothers for his predicament and they are the ones who are carrying out his tasks.

He feels the obligation to carry out the works for CM Taib eventhough Tengah was pushed into the limelight by Abang Johari. CM Taib has used all methods and ways to push Tengah to a brink of extinction but he has come back fighting with more zest and energy. The dayaks sees him as ruthless as his boss Taib though he paints himself as a picture of GODLINNESS. His smile and charm can sweep any ladies off the floor and his canny words used will convince the business community to believe him.

The dayaks are watching him closely but it seems that he is building a garrison of dayak lieutenants and an army behind him to eventually trusts himself as the rightful heir to the coveted prize. He is sizing all alternatives and has even got his hands ‘dirtied’ by mixing himself in other component parties politics. He was pushed to the corner by journalists on the issues surrounding the “skirmishes and infightings” of the BN parties in Sarawak but he just smiled and it was enough to say I am innocent unless proven guilty

This is trademark and his whispers now are worse than his written actions and many in the political circles are guarded against making the wrong moves to incur the wrath of his so called “middle rats“. The dayaks though saying they are not afraid are watching over their shoulders and hoping that Adenan,Abang or someone else takes the position rather than Awang.

The 22nd floor is not within reach of another A eventhough he is not thrusts into the limelight. This has something to do with the Tun factor and where and when his political brain wave goes into overdrive. Tun saw all the necessary opportunities”used all the political tricks” in taking over the chair and making it extremely difficult for the dayaks to win it back. He has a young successor in his nephew and knows that in time even amongst the family there will be so much infighting.

Tun has indicated in so many words that his daughter will be watching closely in the wings until another of Taibs nephews/granchildren is ready to take over. The warlords in the state administration are giving their latests information through smses,bb messengers, whatsapp or even emails to inform the ‘Almighty Brain in Sarawak”  He is never off the line and he pulls his punches by reverse psychology which many dayaks failed to see. Its his god given political moves which has kept the sanctity of Sarawak to be ruled by the family instead of the UMNO family. The dayaks still sees the melanaus in power as a trusted brother to the eventual coming of the UMNO into Sarawak. Will they..??

Ali Mahmud the other A is the guardian angel of the State administration and eventhough he is not in the picture mosts times he holds the ‘purses and the strings” for his dear brother. He alone has enough knowledge of the inner dealings which puts him as the ‘darkhorse” eventhough many does not even have him in their books or ‘betting slips” He was nearly pushed out of the state elections by some ‘dirty moves” within his close circles and now he is more cunning and meticulously going through every details to avoid similar “dirt being hung” . He holds close the elders in the inner circles and by and far he knows that he has been given the burden so to speak to look after his elder brothers back.

Taib doesn’t seem to be too bothered that Ali is not his favourite brother but one will clearly point to the fact that “blood is thicker than water.” The dayaks takes a very nice and casual approach to Ali and he is ever willing to give a helping hand and under his watch his constituency has progressed by leaps and bounds without much fanfare. The dayaks will not have much grievances to pour out against Ali if his brother is pushed to abdicate his power. Ali will used his cool and calculated approach to ensure his brother Taib be remembered for his politics of development. All the ill dealings will be camouflage and be pushed to ‘scapegoats‘ who will not know what hit them.

The circle of A’s is very synonymous to Sarawak. They are 3 A’s in Sarawak and when Taibs reign is over another A will have a chance to grab the golden prize. I would not be too far behind as my name has intials of Two(2) A’s. Well it could turn out to be true as the melanau blood flows in me and my name would eventually be Azahari Ali.

Emeritus Professor said,”God knows and one can never go against the forces of nature and destiny.” The dayaks will need to weigh the options closely and will need to sleep with one eye open. The clock has already started ticking for Taib. Taib feels his time is not near but forces are out to get him and the dayaks will have a big say who eventually takes over.

Clearly all the A’s stands a good chance. One of the dayaks “A” will try to push himself for a period but he too will eventually succumb to the others outmaneuvering him. The 22nd floor is calling for a new owner and its only a matter of time.

Is it only the DAYAKS who will accept?

PKR “Mas Gading wants Liow Tiong Lai.??”

PKR P192 Cabang spokesman Boniface Willy Anak Tumek wants Liow Tiong Lai to show more commitment to Bau than his statement after Bersih 709 regarding the Tung Shin Hospital.

Willy  in a Press conference at the Stampin office attended by journalists from all the major tabloids in the city issued a three page statement which calls for additional beds and improve facilities to meet the medical health and growing populace of Bau district.

Presently Bau has a population of 42775 from the lasts count and the hospital has only 68 beds which is diabolical.

Bau hospital needs to be upgraded to serve the rakyat. He even said,”the people of Bau are saying that they have been loyal”fixed deposit” supporters of the BN Government and giving them will be one fitting and meaningful way for the government to reciprocate and reward them for their fervent and untiring support.

The people call for the Federal Minister of Health to take immediate and appropriate actions so that they will have more beds to accomodate the increasing population of Bau.

Willy has this for the Health Minister ,”come and spend more time in Bau and you will love it more than Tung Shin Hospital.Surely, this will enhance your image and leave the police to handle their wrongdoings.”

BAU AWAITS YOUR ARRIVAL…..

GE13 “Cyber-warfare..??

It’s about SOUL and PASSION says a Sarawak YB and a very close aide to Sarawak CM  to audie61 which determines whether the blogger is of any value or not. If your heart and mind is not focus in your work the simple and precise message will not be delivered.

Of course one needs to be well taken care of as “half empty stomach will not generate fruitful political articles” interjected a former DCM of Sarawak. He says if its not ‘fair and free elections in Sarawak” I would not have losts in the lasts State elections. The opposition can harp all they want ” BERSIH”  but at the end of the day even I was defeated. I am a living witness and don”t tell me the people dont know who I am. They want change. Mirians voted me out and no I am not angry but disappointed. Life has to go on and as President for now I need to see a successful leadership takeover soon and it will be done he said this to audie61.

He continued,”Urban seats its cyberwarfare and BN machinery is still very much lacking and he agrees that BN needs to oil up its parts and pick the bests to counter the “dirt and poisonous politics that is being spun out there in cyberworld”  His party suffered badly and they will try to pick up the pieces in time for GE13 and he knows BN will experience more than a good fight.

There are no more safe seats be it rural or urban as the cyber warfare has taken over from the mainstream media and other publications. Over the weekend PKR liason chief Sarawak Baru Bian even said,”There has been increase in support for the opposition in many areas and its looking good for them. They are still many areas which needs to be looked into before they can give BN a run for their money.”

The BN Sarawak YB knows there is a threat but he says,”all BN machinery needs to step up and that includes cyber warfare to counter the opposition claims. They will hit us hard but we need to bomb them out.”

ARE YOU READY FOR THIS…??

KUALA LUMPUR, July 18 — In mid-2009, Umno Youth held a course in online media for its grassroots leaders in Kuantan. The names of a few prominent bloggers drew blank stares.

“Only 10 per cent (of those present) were familiar with those names,” the youth wing’s new media chief, Tun Faisal Ismail Aziz, told The Malaysian Insider. “Some didn’t even have email.”

The media unit that Tun Faisal heads, formed after accepting that “80 to 90 per cent” of those online were anti-Barisan Nasional (BN) in the landmark Election 2008, now claims that despite having to catch up to Pakatan Rakyat (PR) in the “cyberwar” for the hearts and minds of young and urban voters, it is now ready for a general election expected within the year.

However, Tun Faisal, a member of the Umno Youth executive committee, believes that despite having guns primed, the unit needs the government to provide it with bullets.

“Most young and urban voters perceive the mainstream media as pro-government, so they are automatically prejudiced against it,” said Faisal. “So we have to bring the debate online.

“But the problem is getting info from the government to counter the lies from the opposition. How can we fight claims from them and journalists when we don’t have more info than them?” he said.

BN had its nose bloodied at the 12th General Election in urban centres such as the Klang Valley and Penang, ceding its customary two-thirds majority in Parliament as the opposition took a record 82 seats and, at the same time, five state governments.

But the Manek Urai by-election in Kelantan, where BN surprisingly came within 65 votes of wresting the state seat, is considered a turning point for Umno Youth in the online battle.

Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin had said that BN gained in all young voter streams, signalling a shift in young voters that was said to have backed PR heavily in 2008.

“The opposition started in 1999 after Reformasi,” Tun Faisal said. “We only started in 2009. It’s like putting university students against primary schoolkids.

“But if you look at the results since Manek Urai, you can see that BN has definitely caught up especially with young voters.”

BN has since reversed a losing streak in by-elections, and even though PR was confident of making extensive gains in the recent Sarawak state election, BN retained its two-thirds majority in the assembly.

Tun Faisal says that one of the main factors is that his new media unit was given the mandate to strategise and coordinate online communications during these local polls.

“After 13 by-elections and one state election, I think we are ready to lead BN online in the next general election. But the leadership needs to have faith in us,” he said.

He revealed that in 2004, he led an Umno Youth cybertroopers unit into federal polls, at which BN claimed over 90 per cent of Parliament. But the ruling coalition’s best showing ever was followed by its worst in 2008.

“The difference was in 2004, we had a direct link to the prime minister’s department,” Tun Faisal said. “In 2008, we were left behind by the opposition, and even some pro-Umno blogs were against us.

“Over 70 per cent of the issues that BN has to answer is related to government. It is unfair for BN leaders to expect party machinery to answer them unless government opens up to us,” he said.

With Malaysians increasingly being found online — 11.3 million on Facebook as at the end of last month — and Malay and English print circulation dropping, Umno Youth sees a return to 2004 as crucial, a belief shared by Umno vice president Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi last month.

“Our target by the next election is that all division youth chiefs are on Twitter and every state have their own cyberwar team,” said Tun Faisal.

GE13..”It’s the Presidents Call…!!”

Standard Precedural process :- The party election committee would gather information from the ground, feedbacks and study and verify all information before making their findings to the party Supreme Council. The President of the party would have the FINAL SAY as when he affixes his signature to the BN Coalition only very occasionally will it be refused. The CM as State BN Chairman will put the partys nominated candidates on the BN Sarawak lists.

Of course many who are not nominated will use whatever and however means to be renominated by lobbying themselves or through some parties who walks the corridors of power and are sitting inside the Federal BN election team.

Its a process which parties needs to adhere to eventhough the lobbying is intense but we know…

“It’s the President’s Call at the end of the DAY..”
