Najib”When You Say You Love Me”

Vincent Tan an astute businessman who sees the Football Betting World as a Lucrative goldmine has been hit hard with news from UMNO Supreme Council that the ‘Ascot Football Licence has been rejected.”

His close partner Najib could not do much as within UMNO itself there are so many warlords and they know that the party is under attack and both hands are not clapping in unison. On one hand the President Najib has indicated that the Football Licence will be approved and the other the party is welcoming 40 Ulama’s to its fold.

UMNO needs to show the Ulamas entry into the party was a ‘viable vehicle to uphold Islam and its values’. The choice was simple.Politics Won on the Day in Question. Ascot Football Licence will be put to the

 ” BACK BURNER

Vincent Tan is at crossroads but knowing he will not be defeated so easily he will come out with another way of clinching the deal. Will he dare to…

{ SUE THE GOVERNMENT..??}

He will be contend for now though to sing Josh Grobans Song to Najib.”Suddenly I am Falling, Lost in a Dream” You say those words and my heart stops beating. ( LICENCE REJECT………}How far we’ve come and I celebrate every moment.

Do you know how I love you..Najib?

Oooh- Aaah People Power.”

“Gutsy”Cameroon” Out..!!”

No matter how we feel for Cameroon the fact remains that “THEY ARE THE FIRST TEAM TO BE ELIMINATED” in this 2010 World Cup. Cameroon has the distinction of being the first for the wrong reason unlike the winner of this competition in July.

All the first(1st)booking, red card, goal, penalty saved, headed goal etc will be in the annals of this years 2010 World Cup. Immediatedly after the game we tweeted,” Cameroon 1st team to be eliminated. Holland through. Denmark v Japan winner enters round 16th. Japan draw they go through goal differance. Congratulations to Holland for being the first team through to round 16th. 15 places left up for grabs .”

It’s sad but this world only remembers winners and achievers. Those who losts even by a whisker only share that moment of time while the Accolades will be showered on the Winners.

Cameroon gave us a “Gutsy” display and played their hearts out and we are proud to have witness a very entertaining fast flowing game of football unlike the previous games on offer. The country will mourn their exit from the world cup but they will hopefully come out stronger and better prepared in the years to come.

Who else will follow Cameroon. 15 others will suffer the same FATE.

“48 years …..??”

No one can write this script. One involves CM Taib and the other Switzerland. The Football commentor had all the cheek in the world to say,”Spain needs to teach Switzerland how to play Football” Ooops.. when it was goalless.THE LESSON FROM SPAIN..Its like this “Switzerland..This Round ” THING ” is what we call Football.Pass it around beautifully, you only need to put the ball in between the posts and  score and you win. Spain OMG…??

CM Taib after 48 years at the helm informed everyone that.” The State elections will be held on a Saturday” It seems most political observers will be counting how many ‘Saturdays” to come. Could it be the first Saturday of the English Premier League which will be the 14th of August. Hari Raya will be on September 10th 2010. However Feng Shui Experts seems to say that 10/10/10 a Sunday is an auspicious day. Whatever it is 48 years of being in politics he knows more than a thing or two and he will choose the day and no one else. “SATURDAY…hik hik hik”

Switzerland (150-1) after 48 years taught Spain( 7/2) how to put the ball in the net. Spain was a delight to watch but especially frustrating where it matters mosts . Switzerland created the headlines and will present a paper to Spain,” How not to underestimate your opponents..?”

CM Taib has not underestimated the opposition all this while and he knows any wrong move and overcomplacency will see an end to his reign of 48 years. BN has a number of sticky issues to overcome and the window is closing fasts to call the State elections before May 2011.

The differance between 48 years Experience in politics and football are goalposts apart. CM Taib is still the main player while the Switzerland Team is new, young and fresh faced. What has worked for Switzerland as it shocked Spain 1-0 will not work in determining the end result of Sarawak Elections. That was just one game while the Sarawak elections there are 71 games.

These 71 State seats will hold the finals and the PEOPLE will determine the result. Now the aspiring 71 candidates from both political divide needs to impress that they are capable and not be shamed and shocked when the votes are counted.

48 years in Politics is a mean achievement…..

DAP Sarawak “Bola-Land..??”

The FIFA World Cup has got everyone involved every inch of the way. Even the news of “Malim Nawar state assemblyman Keshvinder Singh resignation from DAP Perak to become a Barisan Nasional-friendly independent has not caught the imagination of the public in Sarawak. ”

He KENA BOLA LAH..We have heard and seen too many political stories to lasts us a lifetime says a political watcher. But FIFA World Cup is once every four years and when it happens it reminds us that we have aged ( 4 ) four years.”

Even DAP Sarawak MP Chong Chieng Jin is finding it difficult to sell his ‘SEMINAR” on the landcode this weekend at the DAP headquarters at 7.30pm. He even went further by saying,” Please attend, it will only be Holldand vs. Japan at that time, so not much to miss.” Please MP “HOLLAND “also cannot spell kah..? {Done DELIBERATELY..Hmmm please dont sue me. }Someone out there will be very angry as it could be their favourite team.

THIS IS BOLA-LAND

The talk of the town is obviously how well,”The German team has played and the way they carve out the poor Aussies” DAP Chong obvioulsy knows that the fever has certainly hit mosts Kuchingnites and there must be a contingency plan by even shifting the seminar to an earlier time.Has he dont {done}that..??

Maybe this { these }remarks from the two teams which was posted in the FACEBOOK could sway his mind. The people are the ones who put him there in the first place and he can remove himself after elected as and when he pleases like the Perak DAP assemblyman.

These two statements one from a lady and the other an ardent Football fan sits in nicely especially when Holland takes on Japan. Just coincidental that audie61 crew came across and here we have it.

On Japan-Japan is already World Champion with this first 11 : Honda, Toyota, Mitsubishi, Mitsuoka, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Mazda, Nissan, Daihatsu and Isuzu. {comments Must be, hence the performance }

 On Holland-Will Holland bring us to “holland”? { comments “holland” so many time by them get used to it already..what is one more time” }

Even PKR Stampin has got into the act in BOLA=LAND { BOLA-LAND }with this headlines Sarawakians”lets support Bafana-Bafana-http://hornbillunleashed.wordpress.com/2010/06/15/7559/

MP Chong WILL YOUR SEMINAR BE “SOLD-OUT OR BOLA OUT….?? “

{ Amended accordingly our spelling and grammar:-Oops sorry }

The “Howler the Bookies Loved”

The end result is what matters in football matches. True, everyone in the football fraternity sympathises with Rob Green for his”Howler” which also cursed former England keepers in David Seaman, Paul Robinson and Scott Carson. They have lived to tell their tales but the mistake by Rob Green in the England versus USA World Cup Game the Bookies certainly loved him. Why..??

The Handicap Odds England 1 ball accorded to USA.

During lunch yesterday we met a football punter who told audie61 minus the crew,”  All earlier 1st round games today receive the handicap. How very true..!! However there were some patrons in the coffeeshop who opposed and said ,

“Eat and Run Away Later”

My friend he was right yesterday and he must have made some $$$$$$. Lunch coming soon on him. The fact though at every World Cup or Big tournaments like the European championship we will hear of two or more familiar names packing their bags and leaving their home towns/cities. A lot of England fans were unhappy with the result but a lot of England punters must have

CURSED so Loudly that “BIG BEN” Rang

Rob Green “THE BOOKIES  LOVED

 YOU.”

“No More B.S.”

Seems that the many voices against Sports Betting has been heeded by the Government. We played a little part in it and we highlighted amongst others this message to the BN Government. Our earlier article:- https://audie61.wordpress.com/2010/05/29/malaysia-b-s-reality-sucks/

Either one could see the beginning of an end to the ruling government in any other country except in Malaysia.

Do they care about the Barisan National Government?

These companies only care for their OWN BARISAN POCKETS and NOT Barisan National as a whole.

This latest report filed in shows that the Government is :-

LISTENING TO THE PEOPLE

The Finance Ministry has yet to issue a sports betting licence as the government is still sourcing feedback from the public on the matter.

In a written reply to four MPs, Finance Minister Najib Abdul Razak said the government had also yet to finalise the terms and conditions of the permit.

“The government is still sourcing feedback from various quarters for the proposal to license bookmaking in Malaysia, with the aim of reducing and subsequently eradicating illegal gambling,”

Some BN Grassroot supporters called audie61 and said,” The PM has listened to the people on the ground and he does and will not be pushed around eventhough it will generate revenue for the Government. Of course the opposition will say,” They have won a moral victory” but the Government above all should be commended for PUTTING A STOP TO SPORTS BETTING.

HOPE THIS IS NOT B.S.

Earlier Article filed:-The federal government’s recent decision to re-issue a sports betting licence to Ascot Sports Sdn Bhd continues to be the popular topic – this time in Parliament, as independent and opposition parliamentarians submitted their questions.

This is in addition to widespread opposition and public demonstrations against the licence issued to the company owned by business tycoon Vincent Tan.

vincent tan sports bettingTan (right) had recently defended sports betting and said that he will donate to charity the proceeds – amounting to half a billion ringgit – from the sale of Ascot Sports to the Berjaya Group.

“What is the fun of watching sports without betting,” he had quipped.

Up to four questions and one motion with regards to sports betting were recorded in today’s order paper, one each from Tian Chua (PKR-Batu), Ibrahim Ali (Independent-Pasir Mas), Khalid Samad (PAS-Shah Alam) and Anthony Loke (DAP-Rasah).

Tian Chua wanted the government to reveal why it cancelled the licence in 2004 and its rationale in reissuing it now.

“Why did the government issue the licence without open tender?” he asked further.

Ibrahim and Khalid wanted the government to explain why it persisted with issuing the licence in spite of it clearly contravening Islamic values and facing strong opposition from various segments of society.

Loke asked whether the government had considered the impact that the legalising of sports betting will have on society.

“The goverment should also justify why it approved the licence to Ascot Sports, why was the company chosen?” asked Loke in his question.

zulkifli noordinZulkifli Noordin (Independent-Kulim Bandar Baru) went a step further, following up with a motion for debate, moving for the house to urge to government to cancel the sports betting licence.

“It contradicts Syariah law and may give the wrong impression to youths that sports and gambling go hand in hand,” said Zulkifli (left) in his motion.

Due to lack of time, the questions were not answered this morning. But written answers are expected later today or early tomorrow.

Zulkifli’s motion however may also not see parliamentary debate as priority will be given to government business.

Liverpool”Ballistic..!Nuts..!F…Hell”

Paul Masefield at Channel 812 ESPN was spot on. The Liverpool fans must be tearing their hair out, going ballistic and tearing up Rafael Benitez photographs into shreads and doing moon stomping on it. The word is “NUTS…and F…Hell according to my friend who is a Liverpool fan and he just doesnt understand what this Spanish Manager has got in his mind.

Its time for him “Rafa” to just quit and get out of Anfield. 4 points behind Manchester City and City has a game in hand with 5 games remaining. What the “tut tut tut” is he thinking off changing Torres a world class striker with 25 minutes left with Ngog. This is too much and for Liverpools sake its time for him to be replaced. Rafa got it all wrong and maybe he was thinking to protect Torres for the Benfica match in midweek.

The result 1-1 and if Torres was still on the pitch who knows he could have assisted even to play Babel or Ngog for the winner. Stevan Gerrard the captain was also caught on camera scratching his head in disbelief with the managers decision and also Liverpool fans worldwide .

Liverpool is really a club in turmoil with Rafa Benitez a dead man walking as the team lurch from one crisis to another, out of the title race, out of the FA Cup and now edging closer to missing the 4th Champions League spot.

Liverpool should be challenging for the Premiership instead now they are only considered as one of the teams for the 4 Champions League places. How very sad..!! Now wonder all the Liverpool faithful fans are throwing tantrums everynow and then. Rafa has overstayed…..

“Politics..All is Forgotten Today..”

(The rants and fury of Rafael and Ferguson)

Its Sunday and the kickoff between Liverpool and Manchester United  is only hours away. It will be at Anfield the home of Liverpool where the two most supported teams in the world will be locking horns and the worlds football fraternity and neutrals too will surely focus on this match.

Its an ADVERTISEMENT FIELD AND PAY DAY and with 36 titles between them who could ask for more? The football mega stars of Torres,Gerards,Giggs,Rooney will give centrestage to Michael Owen who was once a Liverpool favourite son but now wears the colours of rivals Manchester United. Will the fans give him a well deserved standing ovation or will they turn on their former favourite son ( Betrayal Huh..!!).

Also this game looks beyond the two Managers in Sir Alex Ferguson and Rafael Benetiz .(even his late father Paco  said,”was a stubborn child. “It wasn’t humanly possible to convince him” What did they say about Alex Ferguson..we leave that to another day..Hmmm.. smells of a tinge of politics here.

Similarly it reminds of former favourite son of  UMNO  Anwar Ibrahim. Wonder whether Manchseter Uniteds ardent fan PM Najib will have a wager with his former colleague in UMNO Anwar on the result of this match? Will we ever know? Nowadays its just a phone call away and a Teh tarik and Nasi lemak (Malaysian favourite food and drink)  will still get your Adrenalin pumping..

Tonight this game takes centrestage eventhough there are other games on offer with Manchester City taking on Fulham,Bolton against Everton and the London derby of West Ham taking on free flowing Arsenal at Upton Park.

Exciting Equations…Euro 2008

The defending Champions will be just mere spectators as they have been knocked out even before the completion of the round robin stages. Holland supremo dismisses the notion of French and Italian stitch up. Why not……? I would for now, if I was Marco Van Basten as this is sports politics. with Italy and France out it will be a clearer path to having a hand on the new version of Henri Delauney Trophy.

Italy and France needs Holland to beat Romania and then either of them need to have a result to scrap through as “Group of Death Runners-Up” The Italians (World champions) and France( former World champions) scrambled their journalists to approach and interview Van Basten. He said “I’m not going to think about losing to Romania just to elimate Italy and France. We try to prepare for every game seriously.”

Do you honestly believe so this time…..?  Your call……

100 million pounds to win the English Premier League?

Fancy Harry Redknapp turning round to owner Sasha Gaydamak and ask him for 100 million pounds in front of ESPN cameras in an interview? The owner was perplexed and ask what is it for? Harry just said I need it to win the Premier League.

But this Saturday Portsmouth Manager Harry Redknapp hopes to complete the transformation of the south coast club from paupers to princes in FA Cup final at Wembley by beating Cardiff City. Now it is time for Portsmouth first major trophy since skipper Jimmy Guthrie led Jack Tinn’s team to a shock 4-1 win over Wolves in 1939.

Both sides are led by Englishmen. The last time two Englishmen led their teams out at Wembly were Terry Venables and Brian Clough in 1991.Luck and Form will ensure who gets their hands on the FA Cup trophy and have a good summer after May 17th 2008. The money he asked from Sasha to win the EPL can wait as Harry Redknapp goes head to head against Dave Jones on the touchline at Wembley this weekend. Let’s just enjoy this showpiece and hope we are in for some goals too…..
