PAS Hadi “Fighting for Political Survival”

Oh No, PAS President is at it again. What will happen to PAS in GE14 is anyone’s guess.acawat1

It does seem that he is at his best when his back is at the wall as he makes this political statement to try to coax Barisan Nasional leaders to accept him and the party into the BN fold.

Will Sarawak leaders accept him and the party with open arms? He has yet to make amends on his “CAWAT” INSINUATION way back in 2009.

Even MP Salang and PRS Secretary General said this,””He pointed out that Sarawakian   MPs objected to the bill because it is an opposition bill tabled by Parti Islam Se-Malaysia (PAS) president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang, who has few fans in the state.

“During the Batang Ai by-election in 2009, he said we were still wearing cawat. Later, he accused Christians of converting Muslims. Things like that do not speak well of him as a person and a leader. So when he tabled a bill like this, how can I be certain that he meant well?” said Salang.

This is extracted from Rakan Best Nye Page: “Apologise first PAS President Hadi. We in Sarawak always live in peace, harmony, eat, shop, no segregation and enjoy together.

We dont want PAS in Sarawak.
Don’t try to say this for your convenience. “PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang says Malaysians can learn from Sabah and Sarawak, where the two states’ diverse peoples have lived in harmony for so long.”

Is Hadi making the right calls or is he trying to get back the sympathy from the opposition front ,making PAS relevant while backstabbing the Barisan Nasional Coalition at the last minute? He has something up his sleeves and political parties within the BN are watching closely with hawks eye and waiting to  pounce.

BN Sarawak can do without PAS assistance as it goes to win the seats in Sarawak for GE14

DAP “We want Your Votes Sarawakians..!!”

It’s not even Election Campaigning period yet and still there was a Ceramah At BDC Kuching, Sarawak where Kuchingnites turned out in droves to listen to DAP SG and Chief Minister of Penang Lim Guan Eng.

It has become a norm where mosts opposition events, rallies and ceramahs where the interests is growing and sometimes thousands turn up just to be seen and listen. LGE broke the ice when he said ‘when MP Chong Invited him to Kuching for a ceramah he jockingly said to Chong in Hockien{ A Boh,Bo Lang Lai } Can or not no one will turn up

Who will want to listen to me? At that instant he said,’Wah! This morning at the MBKS Community Programme 2012 themed “My City,My Home” at Tabuan Jaya he was told by YB Violet that only a handful meaning 1000 turned up to meet CM Taib. He said he is honoured that Kuchingnites and Sarawakians have given him an overwhelming support to turn up tonight for this UBAH Night at BDC and he was told the crowd has swelled to over 5000.

So he said Ah Jin “Chong Chieng Jin must be correct to say people are giving a listening ear to DAP. DAP knows that Stampin Constituency is under SUPP and the incumbent is Yong Khoon Seng but he has already signalled that he is not seeking relection. Chong is eyeing this constituency of 80000 voters and he knows that his Bandar Kuching Seat is a safe seat for a new face in Dr.Tang (his personal assistant)

DAP knows that SUPP 7 parliamentary seats are all up for grabs as the Chinese Community are turning their backs on the party. It is and will be a tough battle for SUPP judging from the turnout at BDC. LGE hit the right chord and many in the crowd were nodding ,clapping as he said he has proven that he has tried to run a state by being Mr.Clean. He mentioned,”The decision is yours to follow and if you want to follow what Penang government has done its your choice in putting the right people in the right place.

HE and DAP are on a crusade and that is getting into the minds of the voters in that,”Pakatan needs Sarawak to give them the votes to form the next Federal Government” LGE has previously targetted 12 seats in Sarawak and he will try to woo the voters by whatever means possible and he judging from the DAP collection boxes and the amount collected at all this well planned and marketed well ceramah SUPP will have problems a plenty.

SUPP will have their own strategies to counter but they need all the help from all the component parties in whatever ways and however ways to ensure that BN Sarawak will still remain a bastion for the coalition. When a former ADUN and an assistant Minister said,”posters and propaganda does not vote” he was proven wrong and he losts miserably.

This day and age with so much advancement in the technological field even the rural voters are becoming voter smart. The urban voters they say cannot be swayed but till now we are not convinced that “its a lost hope”. SUPP needs to work their programmes well and musts be collectively responsible and reach out even to the last minute of the midnight hour to secure that one (1) vote.

DAP are reaching not only the hearts of the urban voters but their propaganda have reached the brains of the voters/sympathisers who will just blah blah out from their mouths”DON”T WASTE YOUR VOTES ON SUPP”

SUPP needs to up their ante and with fresh faces, new ideas, highly motivated team they will give DAP a run for their EGOS and chip away the winning edges from them. The people will know as SUPP will field the potential candidates who will fight for them in Parliament and will ensure that they will be proud to have voted for them.

Not only DAP have calibre candidates but SUPP does have too and they need to be the ones who needs to reach out and convince the voters that they are the one. Nothing comes easy on a platter and SUPP needs to conjure up their resources and ensure their party workers are on the same wave lenght as the candidate themselves.

The team factor will bring them through but all strategies needs to be planned and carried out not mediocre manner but with enthusiasm and giving 100 percent.

Sarawakians will vote wisely and DAP knows that Sarawkians are no fools and they need to also work hard to maintain their 2 seats which are in their hands at the present time. SUPP needs to prove to all the detractors wrong and ensure that they maintain their iron grip on the 7 seats allocated to them by the BN coalition.

It goes without saying that DAP and SUPP will eyeballing each other till the elections are over

P212″What issues..??

A PR member told audie61 that in Hulu Selangor by election the BN knew very well how to attack Zaid Ibrahim. The think tank worked overtime to sell itself to the voters and Hulu Selangor voters responded together with a lot of goodies thrown in.

There was also a voter who asks for a Latest LG Refrigerator as seen in the advertisements and according to his sources “It was delivered within 2 hours” Would similar tactics be used by the campaigners from both political divides? When a by election comes a calling there will be a lot of goodies on offer and its up to the voters/constituents to go for the REALISTIC Bread and Butter Goodies. Who knows many Companies selling Refrigerators will make some $$$$$ instead of the usual suspects?

The usual suspects meaning:- New Road development, Water supply,Longhouse internet connectivity, pontoons for embarkation from the river transportation, solar powered electricity projects, more $$$ for Chinese education etc etc. Not many years ago when we were busy campaigning in the interiors of Mukah we were approached for Pots, Pans and even urinary bowls. Not hampers mind you……

The party members had to oblige as these are the things which the rural folks needs instead of mega and monstrous projects. Who are the first liners to benefit from all these projects? The people and voters..?? I should say instantly no way. FULL STOP!!

The picture above is not meant to belittle or derail DAP or PR but its just to tell the Sarawak P212 DAP members and their partners to expect the unexpected. We manage to outsource the caricature from the Social networking site Facebook.

Dont tell me now that Anwar and Kit Siang will use this and say “Kalau dia BN bagi Peti Sejuk,Barang-barang  ambil saja tapi undi DAP dan PR.” Wouldnt we just know that they might just do it as the local folks knows what is presented rather than promised.

BN will need to just deliver or incur losts votes. Its not so much the developments as 50 years in Malaysia its already expected.PR will have a right go at the legislators and planners who have not carried out the proposals or concepts.

So will we hear the Latest LG Refrigerator issue in Sibu P212? Hmmm it will be just a boost for the local economy wouldn’t it?

P212 Two Lawyers,Two Parties,Two Coalitions-‘One Destination”

Both the candidates for the Sibu P212 are lawyers representing Two different parties SUPP and DAP respectively and Two different coalitions BN and Pakatan Rakyat. It’s a heavyweight tussle in this 11th by election since 308.

Robert Lau Hui Yew (45 years) is the Assistant Treasurer for the Sibu SUPP Branch while Wong Ho Leng (50 years) is the Sarawak State DAP Chairman. In actual fact its a political novice against a veteran of 3 Parliamentary elections.

Wong Ho Leng losts 3 times in his pursuit to be the Parliamentary representative for this constituency. He took on the late Robert Lau three times and losts by a margin of above 3000 votes each time.

In 1999 he losts by 4845,  2004 (3345 votes) and in 2008 (3549 votes). Isn’t there a saying “THIRD TIME LUCKY..??” This will be his fourth challenge to try to knock off the SUPP candidate eventhough this time its not the late Senior Lau but a Junior one. Seems that DAP has got more to lose if they do not perform to expectations. There are too many  possibilities and amongst them would be the ‘ COMPASSIONATE VOTING ”

azlanBN Sarawak will have their full machinery and so will PR. Their aim is of course to ensure that their candidate fulfill the coalitions wish of the “ONE DESTINATION to be the NEW MP for Sibu Constituency come nightfall on May 16th 2010.

In the run up to the polls there will be a lot of issues used by all parties involved being used to capture the imagination and ultimatedly capture the votes for the ballot box. Yesterday the propaganda war has started when leaders form both opposite camps started selling their PRODUCT and the candidacy for P212 Sibu.

Taib CM Sarawak,” Lau 45,is quite a long serving lawyer who mixes around a lot with all types of people in Sibu. He’s an all-rounder and this is the kind of person we want to attract to work with us.”

Lim CM Penang.” Our decision tonight is based on a leader who is serious and capable of bringing people to change.”

Its not only the two candidates at stake but also the two parties SUPP which losts miserably in the last state elections while DAP has more to lose than to gain.

A lot of hard work, persuasion, promises and sincerity will be needed to turn the total number of 54695 voters to put the mark X to the candidate. Will DAP plus the PR coalition be able to stop the SUPP BN candidate from galloping home with more than 3000 votes again? The bookies are already monitoring the situation and in no time the odds will be open. Would one be surprise if the ODDS favour the SUPP candidate giving a headstart of 1500?

Anyway he is a novice and to asks for 3000 above will be total disrespect for the DAP candidate. He does pull a punch or two and BN will use all its might to ensure that Wong Ho Leng will not make the breakthrough in the “One Destination”. The Parliament House awaits one of them……………….

“BN Taib,Tiong,Sng,Chan,Jabu versus James and Pakatan”

Is it already written in the history books? It has already been simmering for sometime now and relations between James and the ones mentioned has not been at their bests.Pretty sure,no greeting cards will be exchanged during festive occasions.

Taib crossed swords with James instrumental in KM1 and KM2 during the infamous Ming Court Affair and the PBDS ‘dayak struggles for power days.  Taib no doubt has been using the divide and rule of the dayaks and political parties to ensure that he is No.1 and also by living close to the enemies. 23 years on the dayaks are coming up again as now they have really grown up in economics and politics and the time is ripe.

Sng Chee Hua who aligned himself to Tajem and later James Masing has been casts into political oblivion though he has tried to use his Son’s platform and Ting Pek Kiing to stay relevant in BN. He got found out very fortunatedly as some dayaks and PKR members said during Lubok Antu by elections. One remembers what famous politicians will say to their ‘hidden machais or understudies”- Once you show your head you are term useless to me and in place someone will take over.”

Tiong without a doubt and even a little kid would be able to point out ” has been labelled as one of the certain personalities” in the proxy fight and illusionary merger process of the SPDP Separatists 5 plus 3 with PRS.

The “CRISIS BREEDS OPPORTUNITIES” and “18 YBs in Kapit” in togetherness certainly has sounded the alarm bells within BN. Word has it also that there is no more turning back. James is listening more than ever to his trusted aides.

Certainly dont even rule out that PRS will follow the footsteps of PBS said a final year political studies student. History has a funny way of coming back and Taib,Tiong,Sng,Chan and Jabu are watching these developments with curiosity.

There needs to be a check on PRS movements and Taibs ears and eyes needs to be strongly planted into PRS or else it will be a little too late. Taib is 74 and James you are 61 and thats the blunt message which is blowing from the winds across the dayak hinterlands. If not NOW, WHEN similarities to someone’s remarks don’t you think..??

Tiong has even brought 40 MPs to Taiwan and Taib will know that Tiong is not someone who he can do without. Enemies becomes Friends isnt this common in the political alignment of politics when there is a necessity…?

Jabu as we know has always been attacked as he only focusses on his Betong Constituency and he was the giant killer in 1974 when he defeated SNAPs Kalong Ningkan at SNAPs fortress. In the internet blogs and in the political circles it is very clear that Jabu will be challenged and there might be a GIANT KILLER.

Who will present himself with this opportunity to write himself into Sarawaks political history books? There are a number of names being touted and Stanley Embat and Tedewin Ngumbang seems to be the GRADE A package.

James is looking into the possibilty of leading the charge as the political scenario has changed more in favour of the dayaks who are now frustrated and disgruntled by the Melanau led regime of 28 years of as Chief Minister. Will James take this bait..?

It is without a doubt that Baru Bian himself an Orang Ulu will willingly step aside if the PKR leaders sees James as more than capable of overthrowing the BN Sarawak rule. 29 dayak majority seats,26 melanau/malay and 16 Chinese majority seats and one need not use geography/history but mathematics to see where the winnable seats are.

Lim Kit Siang DAP supremo has already indicated 24 seats as depriving 2/3rds majority while 36 as overthrowing the BN Sarawak rule.

The hard core within the defunct PBDS has not forgotten the embracing of the Melanau uncle and nephew on stage at Hilton and James will know its an opportune time to “PAYBACK” to the dayaks on what should have been theirs instead of being ruled by the minority race says a veteran politician.

This is alarming and its very calm on the surface. James knows without his troops in PRS beneath the surface are gauging the sentiments and working out the bests possibilities to overthrow not only Taib but the names mentioned.

Will SUPP come to the rescue again as it did in 1987? It certainly is a different era and if the UNLIKELY Happens with James leading PRS into battle with Taib it will be very much closer. Ths time the Frogs might come from BN says another political observer. If Selangor can fall why not Sarawak he added.

How many of the 18  dayak YBs we ask will follow James into battle with Taib? He has nothing to be worried as he will have with him this time round PKR,DAP,PAS and SNAP. BN will be left with PBB,SUPP and SPDP remnants. eventhough those who will walk out of James in PRS they will have to fight at the dayak majority seats. They will be termed ‘BETRAYERS” too if BN plays the same game.

The warning tsunami signs are already approaching the coastlines of Sarawak and the ground movements are certainly growing in strength. Taib has to muster all his experience and above all his POLITICAL WITTINESS to stem this tide. Its not only ‘dayakism” but another New Partner.

1987 was Permas and PBDS but this time Taib will know he faces his greatest challenge. James knows Taib has not forgotten and James likewise will get his revenge at the mosts opportune time.

Will they be another time? The simmering water will be turned up to BOILING POINT and Taib will need to turn to his trusted collegues to undo this ambition of the powers to be.

Are we telling the readers something which they already know or are we telling Taib the traps are already opened and the Tigers you have will ALSO FALL SOON. Chan the SUPP President has even sounded confidently that BN wil make a clean sweep and one seasoned politician said,”He is trying to whip the sentiments of the Chinese in that the fast flowing waters have reached his neck.”

Its a rallying cry and we did ask earlier will SUPP be able to come to BNs rescue again? The undercurrents are too strong now and more than ever Taib will need Tiong,Sng,Chan and Jabu to not only  double check but triple it up.

Will James not want to sit at the HIGH CHAIR and see that his KM3 work. Lim Kit Siang did not give up and finally in 308 Penang was taken over by Pakatan and today LIM GUAN ENG is the Chief Minister. (His son)

It is indeed very calm within the Pakatan alliances and they do hope that the Miracle of PRS will do a PBS. Nothing is Impossible in Politics they say…Don’t you agree…???

DAP Voon,”Quality Time…??”

A number of Batu Lintang  constituents who are clearly Voon Lee Shans ardent supporters clarified to Joey of audie1 that Voon is not running away from the battles and the just needs QUALITY TIME to be with his family as he ponders his next move.” He has been given a showcause letter by DAP party headquarters in Kuala Lumpur as such he needs his families undivided  support to clear his mind and find the appropriate answers to the contents of the letter.

One should refrain from making unnecessary and unfounded judgements that Voons time is numbered and he will not be named to defend the N11 Batu Lintang State Seat. We have been hearing from ground zero level  that since the sms that has been sent out by Voon to the press, comrades, friends and relatives with regards to him ,”Not celebrating Chinese New Year in Kuching” the final nail has been delivered.

Whats more with  this statement from Chong,’ There was no bad blood between us. Voon is making a mountain out of a mole hill and we informed him of the meeting but he did not want to come,”

The supporters added,”It does appear that Voons pride has been hurt and he needs the time off and he does require his constituents to understand the situation and the circumstances. He just needs time to address the whole problem and he wishes all a very Happy Chinese New Year. Just be cool and calm and Voon will overcome.”

Afterall this is politics and there are no predetermined solutions to all problems. Voon has 14 days to reply and we shall know in due course whether the TIGER YEAR will be kind to the N11 assemblyman.

“Lim and Khalid Smoking…”

It was well past two thirty in the morning when I put my head on my pillow to catch up with some much needed sleep. I was watching a spirited Chelsea team oozing with confidence and making the young Arsenal team eat “humble pie” The British media has even suggested that with John Terrys frame of mind it will no doubt that conclusively  “Arsenal will tame the Lions at their own Den” Result 2-0. Chelseas teamspirit and confidence very much intact.

Well. it was a good game and I said my night prayers to thank the almighty one for giving me “A Blessed Day” and said “See You in the morning.” This I have been saying for the past 40 years or more. Even the “cicak‘ (LIZARD) concurred with me when I typed this very sentence.

Believe it or not…..One should be dreaming rightly so FOOTBALL..It turned out that just before I woke up around 7.45 am of all the people one could dream of are Two Chief Ministers of their respective states. Both of them are and have been  seriously under heavy attack by the BN who are opposition at both these states.

Lim Guan Eng of DAP helms Penang while Khalid of PKR holds Selangor. The BN leaders of both these states Koh Tsu Koon (Gerakan)and Khir Toyo(UMNO) losts these two BN states in the lasts GE.

The drama unfolds….”Both of them were in at the corridor of the Penang State legislative council having a chit chat and smoking away next to the standing aluminium ashtray. I turned round and said to GUAN ENG,”Releasing tension kah..?” He shook my hands and said ‘How did you manage to get in with justs a singlet and short pants and not properly attired’ I said your bodyguard which happens to be my former classmate in fifth grade by the name of Ho Sia said no problem,”Kaki Lang.Ka Ee Kong Too Ho.”

Which is  Chinese Hockien  language and it means,” No bother just tell him.” Maybe the dream is a signal for me to write something about all these hurling of abuses especially from their own coalition members. In recent weeks PKR Zahrain Mohamad Hashim (Bayan Baru) and PKR Tan Tee Beng (Nibong Tebal), have been both at loggerheads with DAP secretary-general and Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng.

It is no doubt a smear campaign but are they any truths in so far as why it is so open? Is there something not too right with Lim Guan Engs adminstration? Is Khalid helping out another fellow Chief Minister by meeting him, discussing on behalf of PKR and smoking away?

Well, I got right to business and told Guan Eng,”See you so fasts tell me what I can and not wear while you dont even give me a chance to explain. If Mahatma Gandhi had walked in there will be fanfare right. How judgemental can one get so quickly?

In other words its open to interpretations what the media/BN strategists and spin doctors are up to. Sitting at the ‘holy grail’   of the  two states is no laughing matter and these two CMs better get used to it. Many before them has tasted the bitter sweet of sitting on the top where very often its a lonely appointment. The mosts important of it all is to defend it at all costs. Chelsea did very well in the scond half with all their might and know how.

As the wise remarks of Sun Tzu(in the Art of War puts it…,”That it would be better to rely not on the likelihood of the enemy’s not coming ,but on our own readiness to recieve him:not on the chance of hisn ot attacking, but rather on the fact that we have made our own position UNASSAILABLE.”

BN is the opposition in both these states so I told Khalid and Guan Eng,”Do you honestly think that they will let you take over and rule so easily…?”Both of you have to stamp your own political presence. It is very easy to admire on the victory but when things start to go wrong unknowingly it will cause more than a toothache. The people are the masters and not the YBs or MPs who rant and shout their voices to earn political mileage…(Time to wake up 7.46 am..Oh…)

Similarly I would also say to Taib or Musa if called upon….wonder when its their turn for me to visit…………………….
