“ENCROACHMENT into BN/SUPP Designated Seat. ?”

UPP have no choice whatsoever but to create a ” hoo-haa” and a “huge wave” in order to wrestle the  candidacy from BN/SUPP says a popular political figure familiar with the Batu Kawa constituency.
What was however very disturbing was the statement put up by Jerip Susil,”admitting that winning Batu Kawah state constituency would be a challenging task for UPP in the coming state elections, that as time goes by the people would believe the sincerity and struggle that is for all races and religion.”
img-20151127-wa0005.jpgWhat was he trying to say? Why are you still saying challenging task? If he was a hardworking PEMANCA surely the people would not blink an eye but to vote him against the DAP incumbent Christina?

Even UPP President has outlined 4 qualities which outlines him to be a good leader and candidate for the state constituency of Batu Kawa. Wong even spoke on what Liu has done over the years, the party was very confident that he would be one of the most winnable candidate. Hold on here, says our political figure,” didn’t Liu say this,”I remember when I was entrusted with this difficult task of setting up this branch.I was not confident at all and I was worried.”

Wasn’t he an SUPP Pemanca? Such contradictory statements?

This will be one of the points which the State Barisan Nasional committee would have to look into.

SUPP does have a “winnable candidate” in current Chairman of Padawan Municipal Council in Lo Khere Chiang who have been serving the area of jurisdiction since 2008.

There have been hardly any complaints of his sloppiness, high handedness or arrogance. He has been quietly working into the hearts and minds of the people in the area which he was entrusted to look into. He is very much a party man and a true loyalists to the party even though many are “pouring oil to the fire” and saying he is not ‘cut to withstand the DAP onslaught unlike Liu who will be able to fight tooth and nail against DAP.

The political figure even said,”Liu has resigned as a Pemanca and now going full time and on what grounds will he use now for the next few months to go about assisting the people of Batu Kawa? Will he be using the party to force his way with the authorities? Surely, he has jumped the gun thinking that he is the most winnable candidate? What’s more the CM Adenan has mentioned most winnable incumbents didn’t he? Is Liu an incumbent for that matter and moreover the party is outside the Barisan Nasional?

UPP candidates of Wong Soon Koh, Jerip Susil, Johnnicol Rayong, Ranum Mina should concentrate on their seats instead of Encroaching into SUPP designated areas. UPP Vice Chairman and Youth Chief Johnicol Rayong on April 13th 2015 said,”said it was state BN chairman cum Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Adenan Satem who broke the news about retaining them as BN candidates in the next state polls”.

It does seem that UPP is going after all the 19 seats which SUPP has laid claimed upon. Its going to be a war zone as the other 3 BN parties have gone for “one for all and all for one

Lo Khere Chiang will let his actions do the talking and he will not be deterred by all the politicking that his surrounding his quests for the most winnable candidate. He knows that CM Adenan wants to win Batu Kawa as DAP only scrapped through in the last elections after an Assistant Minister Tan Joo Pooi losts to a first timer Christina Chiew by  543 votes. Batu Kawa used to be a stronghold for SUPP and Adenan knows that the winnable candidate he has in mind does need to weave the magic wand from his hand.

The battle lines are drawn and Lo will need Tan Joo Pooi and the SUPP hierarchy on his side if he is picked. Liu for all his keeness and “hoo-hahs” will need to sit back and give a helping hand to BN SUPP or he will say ‘goodbye” to his political dreams of being a YB or an MP. Adenan will not minced his words when the time comes and he will pick his most winnable, suitable and credible candidate for this Batu Kawa State seat.

Adenan knows to unseat DAP he will need all the factions to compromise for the better good of BN. He will not let this chance slip from his grasps and he would very much want Batu Kawa to be taken back by BN and in the main stream politics.

SPDP or just PDP soon?

SPDP or PDPA source told audie61 that very soon SPDP will be doing away with ‘S” in front. We asked what’s the reason for that? “Oh, the party is rebranding and its going national. The new symbol will be similar to the shaking hands image. ” Further  conversation on SPDP revealed that there are uncertainties and this rebranding process could propel the party to have more prominent politicians joining the bandwagon.

Could the Alexander Asing rumour be true then? Surely, if the party loses its “Sarawak” the Division Chief and his supporters from the hinterland of Marudi would not want to be involved or be associated with bringing a Peninsular entity into the state when the “Sarawak for Sarawakians” passion is so strong at the moment. Moreover, why must SPDP be involved in following PBS a Sabah party extending its wings nationally. Could the party be playing into a political agenda?

Of course, SPDP will deny all this but one must remember,”if there is no wind, the leaves on the trees will not move.” They will also argue , we are united in one mind and heart with the other BN parties going into the state elections and we are also looking into a merger entity with PRS.

Surely, we all know that in politics anything is possible and the most common statement would be “we are doing it for the nation and the people” Isn’t that familiar? Keep informed and our source said if it doesn’t materialise that will only mean ‘its not the right time”

SPDP or PDP its here to stay……

“Orang Malaya Tag”

Aorang malayaAll Old collaboration/partnerships no matter how strong their relationship will end if disagreements and “FITNAH” {allegations) are not checked. It has taken a good (6) months when the Ides of March took effect and on 17th of September 2015 in “Soal Jawab Programme on TV3” CM Adenan became our saviour. Mr. U U afterall is now my best friend forever. Thank you for putting it right and saying its TRADITION.

audie61 was under attack from all angles and even have to say goodbye to a TEAM we built from ashes to a respectable “SEMUT SARAWAK SAYA SUKA” Team . Adolf Hitler had the SS group, mosts cyberwarriors have the SSS that is “saya shok sendiri” but we had nearly 20 of the elite snipers who went about their work without fanfare but did their work accordingly and reached the masses on the ground.

Its no point writing and postings if it doesn’t even scratch the surface of the intended netcitizens if one spams and reposts and retweets says a Minister close to Najib.

Where are all the bloggers plus troopers hiding? All are playing it safe to say the least as Mahathir is also their former boss and Najib is the present PM but who have criticized them openly.

audi11111Truth be told cyber troopers/bloggers are a special breed says a former group editor of a leading newspaper. Seasoned Bloggers can smell a rat from a distant while todays new journalists/reporters just try to pick on the carcasses left behind. A chain command it could be but a press aide to a senior Minister fails to see the significance of the TEAM of Bloggers/Graphic designers.

What did the late Lee Kuan Yew said, “No Man is an island” and if the people in power fails to see this and still live in their comforts of their cushy chair and airconditioned rooms they soon will be ousted too. It only takes a spark to start a fire and if mosts bloggers are being sidelined the “PERCEPTION WILL TURN FOR THE WORST”

Even an Assistant Minister in CM Adenan’s cabinet agrees. He says,”in politics perception is the No.1 KILLER  to any politicians”. we have been keeping very silent of late as we have been “FITNAH” and saddened that our team was decimated by outside forces.

Some people do take advantage of Sarawakians generosity and naivety. audie61 was lured into the trap and chopped off conveniently with an ulterior motive. The big picture is starting to surface now and from what we have gathered it is no wonder, that Najib’s Prime Ministers Office is being taken for a ride with millions of dollars used not for churning “positive perceptions and press releases” but it did not filter through and paid accordingly on the work done.

A political strategist, degree holder, diploma holder and a high school graduate will be paid accordingly but did the PMO expected this backlash until PM Najib had to come out openly and criticise the bloggers. Who are facebookers, twitterers without the right strategists?;They just click without a care in the world.

WE DONT BLAME PM NAJIB FOR THIS. HIS THINK -TANK AND STRATEGISTS GOT IT ALL WRONG AND GAVE IT TO THE CRONIES WHO KNOW VERY LITTLE OF BLOGGING TO HEAD A TEAM.

“PERCEPTION IS THE VERY ESSENCE OF WRITING AND POSTERS ARE VALUE ADDED TO THE WRITE UPS AS ONE KNOWS PICTURES PAINTS A THOUSAND WORDS’

AAAERWhen PM Najib was being attacked and pushed to the corner he was left gasping for air. The cyber team had to find newer methods to come out to safeguard the Prime Minister. The MCMC cyber division had to come out with even a forum”Nothing to Hide” which obviously backfired.

The BN supreme council was called in and we went to the extend of starting a poster where most were implicated. But where did the cyber team hide said a source? That we did not know until a movement #kekalnajib came about. But they were hard press into submission as Tun Mahathirs bloggers were light years ahead of them and knows their modus operandi. (They ate the #kekalnajib team for breakfast in a whatsapp message to audie61)

SO “ORANG MALAYA TAG “you know we meant no harm and CM Sarawak is indeed our saviour. Please Sarawakians are not backwards and naïve as you all think. We are light years ahead as we know nation building we have to sacrifice for the better good.

Najib looks at Sarawak/Sabah and he knows that infrastructure development is way behind and now he is turning to us not for survival but to ensure that Sarawak will be on par soon.

Thank you CM Adenan.

Vincent Tan,”Mischevious,Slanderous and Baseless Allegations”

avtI refer to Malaysiakini’s article of August 5, 2015 titled “Dr M’s cronies who aided Pakatan targeted.”

I wish to categorically deny the veracity of the statements in your article that I or my Berjaya Group have donated the millions and billions of ringgit to Pakatan Rakyat or opposition parties as suggested in your article.

It is obvious that the allegations are purely a figment of the writer’s imagination and were crafted for purposes of sensationalism that could well have the effect of souring the goodwill I and the Berjaya Group have with the government.

While you may claim that you are quoting from an open letter written by one Amin Yatim from the blog MyKMU.net, these are nevertheless mischievous, slanderous, and completely baseless allegations.

It is disheartening to note that these days, just about anybody can make use of the internet to spread lies and sensationalise baseless accusations for their own twisted agenda. A credible online news portal should have, and indeed have, a legal and moral duty to verify these stories before publishing them.

Malaysiakini made no attempt whatsoever to verify the truth of these scurrilous allegations with me or anyone at the Berjaya Group before you went to publication. I find this totally abhorrent and unprofessional from a supposedly well-regarded online news portal like Malaysiakini.

This is particularly so when your report stated that the DAP treasurer had dismissed the allegation that I had made such contributions and the PKR treasurer-general had also denied any knowledge of the matter. These denials should have raised questions on the veracity of the allegations and warranted further investigation on your part before the article was published.

Your article has caused much embarrassment to me personally and the Berjaya Group, and I have already received numerous calls from my friends and business associates regarding these allegations. I, personally, as well as the Berjaya Group, have many foreign business partners and such allegations will cause serious damage to my and the Berjaya Group’s image and trading reputation.

I hereby demand a public apology from Malaysiakini which is to be published immediately on your news portal without prejudice to any further action which I may take against Malaysiakini. I and the Berjaya Group reserve all our rights in this matter.

Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Vincent Tan Chee Yioun

17th August 2015 A Significant Date in Sarawak..?

aaadenan22nd July 2015..a day many Sarawakians who was at the Peaceful Rally march or at the Waterfront Pantomime  will remember for as long as they breathe the air in this earthly kingdom. Today 23rd July 2015 is also the birthday of Malaysia’s 6th Prime Minister Najib Razak who turned 62. Many congratulations to him and he needs to be blessed with good health to turn around the blind corners which he is facing unless the detractors are silenced in a manner the government of the day knows best.

Najib has made his choice and those around him will fight on with him to avoid being taken down like Ten pins in the bowling alley. Sarawak is significant to him as a political battleground to shut the traps of those who have been overzealous in dethroning him and tearing to shreds the many programmes that he has embarked on.

We know that http://www.sarawakreport.org/ was used by the opposition front as a political tool in the last elections and many articles written scored “enough points” to win and ended dreams of many in the BN camp.

Now the incessant attack is no more focus on Sarawak as CM Adenan is winning the popularity polls. Will his army win the war for him against the opposition and give a big boost to Najib?

August 17th will be a very important  date if its the call of a dissolution in Sarawak. The encampment of both sides of the propaganda machines including surely sarawakreport.org, will give Najib and his men a battlefield back to Sarawak.

Will Adenan and Sarawak be very much in the script? Its coming soon .Be prepared to face the HEAT

The truth of the matter is Political Popularity does not lasts forever and Adenan knows the game well enough as he has survived many decades in this field.

Najib will need Adenan and it will be in the political history books that Sarawak was the turning point.

Muhyiddin Again…??

muhyidinRolling back the years in 2008 we called Muhyiddin, the then International Trade and Industry Minister “A Knight in Silver Armour” as he was seen as the main man in the UMNO power struggle. A number of articles were written on Mahathirs quest for his son’s ascendency in UMNO.

The route to the top for Mukhriz now Kedah MB have been anything but smooth for him. Mahathir in 2015 is again testing his mettle that he has still got some of his hatchet men around to carry out his tasks.

PM Abdullah Badawi was ousted in 2009 and now 2015 another PM this time its Najib who stands in the way. Today Muhyiddin is the Deputy prime Minister and will he do it to ensure that Mahathirs wishes are fulfilled. Some say that Najib will not be able to take the full artillery of Mahathir and will vacate his seat by June or the earliest October.

We still strongly BELIEVE that “AH JIB GOR” will be able to withstand and repel Mahathir not by hate and venom but Najibs inborn tenacity. We hope that we are proven correct and this article by www.theantdaily.com below will and might be just be the TOTAL WAKE UP CALL for Najib and his men plus all his so called social media team

Are they fighting for PM Najib?

Below were the articles which audie61 wrote:-

  1. https://audie61.wordpress.com/2008/10/19/muhyddin-seems-to-have-lighted-the-fuse-ref-malaysiakini/
  2. https://audie61.wordpress.com/2008/12/04/drm-are-you-worried-for-mukhriz-ref-malaysiakini/

When Najib Razak first became prime minister, he did so not by democratic election but with the help of former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad who deposed the then sitting Umno president cum premier Abdullah Badawi. However, he kept his hands clean by recruiting fellow conspirators who plunged the daggers, figuratively of course, into Abdullah’s back.

Much like Casca, the chief conspirators against Julius Caesar – as told in William Shakespeare’s play named after the ancient Roman dictator that retold the historical tale – collected allies to do the dirty deed with him. Chief among this was now Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin, like the once loyal Brutus in Shakespeare’s play, who was the one to call Abdullah out during that fateful Umno Supreme Council meeting not so many years ago.

As the years went by however, Muhyiddin, while the number two man, seems distant from the encircled wagons of the Najib inner circle dominated by his close advisors and expensively hired consultants. Indeed political observers and insiders said that while he is the number two man, he is not Najib’s handpicked successor. That honour, dubious or not, was said to have been given to Najib’s cousin and fellow blue blood Defence Minister Hishammuddin Hussein, seemingly being groomed to take over from the controversy-shackle PM. Indeed Muhyiddin’s personal and political stance seem to be the total opposite of Najib and his self-promoted 1Malaysia with the DPM having uttered statements that seem to contradict not only Najib’s stand but his pet idea.

The most famous of this was his “Malay first Malaysian second” remark that contravenes Najib’s supposedly inclusive 1Malaysia. The ascendancy of Hishammuddin seems more likely with the high profile he was accorded while handling the MH370 crisis, though it was both a hit and a miss with the way things turned out. In any case, since then Muhyiddin has been seen to be going his own way and ever distant in both deeds and words from his boss. Fast forward to today, and Mahathir is once more on the warpath, like he had criticised Abdullah prior to this which led to Najib begin given to opening to strike, so is he now out to get the sitting PM.

Frustrated by Najib’s rule which he said did not live up to his expectations and is riddled with scandals and gross abuses, Mahathir once said that he was alone against Najib as after a short moment of respite Umno finally closed ranks around their president. But no longer so with artistes like Siti Nurhaliza, opposition leaders like DAP supremo Lim Kit Siang and now even Muhyiddin seemingly has spoken in support of Mahathir. “Telling the truth and standing up has been your trademark since you were a young doctor and an ordinary Umno member.”

Muhyiddin reportedly said at an anti-war forum on April 19 with Dr M, praising the ex-Umno president of his valiant stand against superpowers and their war-waging ways. “Let me assure you, sir that you are not alone,” said Muhyiddin in reference to Mahathir “speaking the truth”, though the statement while clarified by the DPM as being in context of the anti-war movement is widely seen to be an endorsement of the former premier’s crusade against Najib.

Indeed if speculation is true, Dr M has perhaps found his own Brutus, just like Casca and Najib. Indeed he may have found the same Brutus that Najib once did. Dr Mahathir has previously described Muhyiddin, a former Johor menteri besar, as being the most suitable candidate to step up as future prime minister. For perhaps Muhyiddin is now reprising his role as the most famous Judas of ancient Rome, Brutus, by joining forces with Mahathir to assuage his being sidelined by Najib or his inner circle. Though mere words may not be enough if he were to take this course, as political observer Shahbudin Husin opined in his online posting.

Shahbudin reportedly wrote that Muhyiddin now needs to act for “the struggle for the truth may drag on without any guarantee of success because Najib won’t easily withdraw.” He also believe that Muhyiddin will have the support from Malaysians as many are tired of Najib and want to see him gone. What remains to be seen is if like when he bore the role of Brutus for Najib, will he actually pick up the dagger, so to speak, for Mahathir, or just use this as leverage to secure his place in the succession of power.

He could, like Youth and Sports Minister Khairy Jamaluddin before this, raise ruckus for Najib by appearing to support Dr M or just asking the PM to do what he doesn’t like which is to provide answers to Mahathir’s questions. In any case this will cause some discomfort perhaps in Najib and maybe like what he did with Khairy, he will come to Muhyiddin bearing concessions and gifts.

After all, Khairy and his Umno Youth boys must have been given something by Najib for them to literally pick him up and carry him out of the closed door meeting on their very shoulders with joy and glee. So if he does not pick up the dagger for Mahathir, what will he ask for or indeed get to cement his support for Najib? Of course, Muhyiddin may also be playing his hatchet-man role still for Najib, and his “you are not alone” in speaking truth remark to Mahathir may be a subtle jab to the good doctor, as in the former PM too has inconvenient truths that others may disclose to the public to the detriment of his family and himself, or worse to his legacy.

A bit of a long shot but possible perhaps. Whatever the case, Muhyiddin’s statement has opened another dimension to the Dr M-Najib tussle that may shift the balance of power, either way. –

Chief Ministers Men Series 3

GSTCome April 1st the much talked about GST will come into force. (The 6% of Goods & Services Tax ) GST (Goods & Services Tax), which is also known as VAT or the value added tax in many countries is a multi-stage consumption tax on goods and services.

GST is levied on the supply of goods and services at each stages of the supply chain from the supplier up to the retail stage of the distribution. Even though GST is imposed at each level of the supply chain, the tax element does not become part of the cost of the product because GST paid on

The opposition front have been making a lot of loud noises inside and outside of Parliament to the extend of the people following blindly and believing. The government is implementing the GST after only a thorough breakdown and careful study of the effects and also to ensure the people and economy will not be badly affected.

In Sarawak the GST will initially be felt ‘minor tremors”but in our CM’s series 3 the GST comes into effect with the Acronym “Gago Sangat Tok”- Actually the article will be focus on the lobbying of seats available for the 11th Sarawak State Elections.

The Hudud issue have got to the Pakatan coalition front of DAP leaving the front as it feels that they have been backstabbed at the back. Their statement reads,: “DAP Sarawak regrets that PAS has deviated from their PR common policy framework by pursuing the implementation of HUDUD law in Malaysia. With PAS remaining as a component party in PR Sarawak, DAP Sarawak has resolved and made the painful decision to quit from PR Sarawak” SO DAP will not have much to worry about GAGO SANGAT TOK (GST). They will need not to bow down to the demands with PKR and they will be able to venture in their “IMPIAN SARAWAK” where the rural seats will be their priority.

They will be calling their own shots and even if they do come together with PKR and other local parties they will have the upper hand. After all they have 12 ADUNS with PKR only 3 and the other an Independent. The game played by the DAP hierarchy in Sarawak looks simple enough to draw first blood to ensure that their voters will continue to believe in them as they are genuinely serious in their political fight. It will be so different for DAP if the BN Chinese based parties are not still at each other necks.

The Chief Minister Adenan have listened and handed down grants to the Chinese Community on Education and have done his utmost in eradicating corrupted officers who have their hands in illegal logging and even made his stand on stopping  the catcalls of PENDATANG.The Chief Ministers Men are trying their best but it seems the political parties involved are not heeding the calls. On the ground it does seem that it will still be very much an uphill tasks for the BN Chinese parties to regain lost ground.

LET US BE ABSOLUTELY TRUTHFUL ABOUT THE WHOLE SCENARIO. ITS THE ENEMY WITHIN WHO ARE KILLING THEMSELVES AND NOT ANY OUTSIDER.

SUPP and UPP have to understand that no other BN coalition parties are lobbying for the urban seats. Both of them at the time of writing cannot even be seen cordially at political functions.

DONT THE VOTERS KNOW …. ESPECIALLY THE URBAN ONES?

However in the rural bastion of safe seats for BN the scenario is very much dissimilar. The claims are more like what PBB Belaga Youth claims to contest in the New seats of Murum. This have also been counter claim by PRS who says that the seat is in their Parliamentary area of Ulu Rejang and their State seat  of Belaga. It is no secret that the lobbying have been intensified to the extend that the ADUN of Katibas  have even stepped in to ask all parties not to create the rift which will be of no benefit to the BN coalition. He is afterall a former Secretary general to PBB and he knows only too well the ultimate reaction from the top lleadership. ( This is not to be revealed here)

Lobbying of course in the rural areas comes in many forms and three or four days festivities at each constituency thrown by the aspiring candidates are not unusual. The Chief Ministers men have seen it too often in past campaigns and the signature campaigns are widely used as the Internet technology of Whatsapp  (print screen) or Emails will have very little effect in this rural areas. The Chief Minister has already a list of potential candidates drawn up by his inner circles and he will have the final say no matter who GAGO SANGAT TOK (GST) The political parties will all have their own lists no doubt but the final say will be left to the BN Sarawak Chairman as he will be leading the team to the elections.

Our intelligence sources say that many veteran BN ADUNS are hopeful that their previous track record will get them considered or retained for the 71 seats. The 11 new seats will be divided amongst the BN coalition and here will be seen new, fresh faced and younger candidates.

The AIR OF RUMOURTISM has that they will be changes in a few constituency amongst them ARE YOU READY? These are the lists which are widely spoken as the election candidacy hots up:- Tamin ,Semop Jemoreng, Jepak, Muara Tuang Layar Bukit Begunan,Lingga Tupong Batu Danau. It does seem that GST ADUNS have got on the ground and worked hard and hopefully will not be dropped from the final lists.

Of course the Chief Ministers men have said its the AIR OF RUMOURTISM but CM Adenan will say YOU UU..( these are the reasons and here are the reports from JASA,SB and grassroots )

Chief minister men knows that the TEAM matters more than a few who thinks that they deserve the chances again when they are not seen to be politically motivated no more and they have also outlived their political lifeline.  They might still be useful in other ways to the State administration and some will even be given government positions if BN are returned to power. Their experiences are much needed but to serve their constituencies is another matter.

GST will be implemented on April 1st but GAGO SANGAT TOK lobbying will be carried on till the final lists will be drawn. it does pay though to be close too the Chief Ministers Men and Series 4 to 13th will come sooner than expected. Until then just stay focus on your work which you have been assigned.”Don’t Over Over huh in your political ambitions as the…..

CM Sarawak will say this to all   “YOU…UU”

20% Royalty ‘The Truth is Out There”

MsiaKini # 1803I do wonder sometimes whether some of  our journalist friends are ethically doing their work correctly and reporting the truth. People do believe in spins because half truths could be real but when its only one sided reporting the news that comes out leaves a lot to be desired.

We received this piece of information and reading it in Bahasa Malaysia it does not even say the Sarawak State has failed. The Chief Minister needs the support of the people for a new mandate and he will push for the 20% royalty and negotiations with the Federal government. ( Translation from BM to English needs to be understood in the whole context )

PLEASE READ IT AND RE-READ AND DO NOT ATTEMPT TO SPIN IT OUT OF CONTROL. CM ADENAN KNOWS WHAT HE IS DOING..

Bloggers to be Unmasked…??

secretbloggerWouldn’t it just be timely for MCMC to expose or unmask all the bloggers.? Should they….??  Remarkably,it does seem that ‘someone” is being hit right at the heart and the subject matter is nevertheless being debated in the corridors of power. Will Justice be served many asks?

Our and most blogger opinions in cyber space are being scrutinised and many in power are feeling the heat. No one will be left unattended to as and when the blogger in question digs up all the dirt and posts it on line. The truth hurts and we know that many will rather be on the “good-side ” of these bloggers rather than be on the WRONGSIDE.

Be prepared to face the wrath of the bloggers when they get their act together. The pen is mightier than the sword but they are ways to stop the bloggers but authorities would rather scrutinise their writings before acting. MCMC knows best and they would not just act as per what this extracted article have in mind.

The extracted article

Umno leaders have described the anonymous bloggers who attacked Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and others as cowards and non-credible, saying it is unethical to hide behind unnamed postings to attack people.

Kedah Umno leader Datuk Othman Aziz said it was irresponsible of the anonymous bloggers to play up issues related to state investment firm 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) merely to split the country’s leadership.

“If we want to raise an issue, we have to be responsible and comment responsibly. We cannot try to confuse the readers or worse, exploit an issue until we pit one person against another,” said Othman, who is Jerlun MP.

Besides Dr Mahathir, The Edge publisher Tong Kooi Ong and CIMB Group chairman Datuk Seri Nazir Razak had also been attacked.

The Edge recently revealed that the blogger behind the malaysianexpose.wordpress.com which carried several accusations against the trio, is also behind other blogs which have published complimentary articles on businessman Low Taek Jho.

Low has since denied being part of attacks, saying he respected the trio for their professional achievements.

Othman said it looked as though the anonymous bloggers had the bad intention of seeing the country ruined.

“As a responsible citizen, Dr Mahathir will give his views if he feels there are mistakes that needed to be corrected.

“If such anonymous attacks continue, in the end it will affect our country’s economy. Will we be happy to see our economy become haphazard?” he asked.

He said it was pointless for the anonymous bloggers to succeed in their attempts when in the end, the ones who lose out are Malaysians themselves.

“His motive might be political and might be aimed at toppling the current government. He may succeed but what’s the point; in the end, the country might be in chaos.”

Sabah Umno leader Datuk Bung Mokhtar Radin said the bloggers’ actions were aimed at seeing two of the country’s senior leaders clash.

This, he said, was evident in the actions of numerous bloggers who raised issues to provoke a clash between previous leaders like Dr Mahathir and former finance minister Tun Daim Zainuddin, with prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak.

“This should be stopped because I don’t see any positive impact from such actions,” he said.

The Kinabatangan MP said bloggers must be ethical and responsible in their writings and not make any allegations without facts.

“As a responsible blogger, one cannot simply write without concrete facts to back it up,” he added.

Umno leader Datuk Saifuddin Abdullah said while it is quite normal for writers to have pen-names, it is another thing entirely when one hides behind anonymity of the Internet to attack people.

“Being anonymous is something else. It is as if one is hiding from something, more so when you are attacking someone else. It is unethical to hide behind the anonymity of blogs to attack people,” he told The Malaysian Insider.

He suggested that those who have been maligned or wrongly accused by such bloggers lodge reports with either the police or the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC).

Parliament’s Public Accounts Committee chairman Datuk Nur Jazlan Mohamed said unethical bloggers who make a living as weapons of powerful people have abused the Internet.

“In this case, it’s clear that there is political motivation behind the actions of all the parties involved.

“But I think people are smart enough to know this is a game of vested interests,” he said.

Nur Jazlan, who is Umno’s Pulai MP, believed anonymous bloggers are on the payroll of individuals or parties to go around disparaging the reputations of others.

“What would be their motive to smear peoples’ reputations if not for money?”

However, he said it will be very difficult for MCMC to stop such acts as the Internet is an open platform, adding that Malaysians must be educated on such matters.

Pengerang MP Datuk Seri Azalina Othman said she was disgusted by such acts, describing them as “cowardly”.

“If you are championing a cause, why hide behind anonymity? If you are a blogger, put down your name… I think it’s a bit cowardly not to.

“You have the freedom to write whatever you want to write, you should put your name to your opinions,” said the former Puteri Umno chief.

Kelab Chedet exco member Mohd Ikhmal Abu Bakar said anonymous bloggers have no credibility, unlike those who put their names and face to their writings.

He cited the example of Dr Mahathir who he said takes responsibility over his blog postings.

“I ask that these anonymous bloggers come forward and show yourself. Do not attack and hide behind the anonymity of your blogs.

“If you are brave enough to criticise, you should be brave enough to put your name to it,” he said.

He said those who attack personalities but hide their identity have no “value”.

“These people have no credibility and to me, their writing has no impact. People do not know who he is.

“If The Malaysian Insider did not come up with the story, people will ignore the blogger,” he said, referring to the blogger who made accusations of currency speculation.

“The public should not believe in the writings by anonymous bloggers.” – February 4, 2015.
