Najib”When You Say You Love Me”

Vincent Tan an astute businessman who sees the Football Betting World as a Lucrative goldmine has been hit hard with news from UMNO Supreme Council that the ‘Ascot Football Licence has been rejected.”

His close partner Najib could not do much as within UMNO itself there are so many warlords and they know that the party is under attack and both hands are not clapping in unison. On one hand the President Najib has indicated that the Football Licence will be approved and the other the party is welcoming 40 Ulama’s to its fold.

UMNO needs to show the Ulamas entry into the party was a ‘viable vehicle to uphold Islam and its values’. The choice was simple.Politics Won on the Day in Question. Ascot Football Licence will be put to the

 ” BACK BURNER

Vincent Tan is at crossroads but knowing he will not be defeated so easily he will come out with another way of clinching the deal. Will he dare to…

{ SUE THE GOVERNMENT..??}

He will be contend for now though to sing Josh Grobans Song to Najib.”Suddenly I am Falling, Lost in a Dream” You say those words and my heart stops beating. ( LICENCE REJECT………}How far we’ve come and I celebrate every moment.

Do you know how I love you..Najib?

Oooh- Aaah People Power.”

“Gutsy”Cameroon” Out..!!”

No matter how we feel for Cameroon the fact remains that “THEY ARE THE FIRST TEAM TO BE ELIMINATED” in this 2010 World Cup. Cameroon has the distinction of being the first for the wrong reason unlike the winner of this competition in July.

All the first(1st)booking, red card, goal, penalty saved, headed goal etc will be in the annals of this years 2010 World Cup. Immediatedly after the game we tweeted,” Cameroon 1st team to be eliminated. Holland through. Denmark v Japan winner enters round 16th. Japan draw they go through goal differance. Congratulations to Holland for being the first team through to round 16th. 15 places left up for grabs .”

It’s sad but this world only remembers winners and achievers. Those who losts even by a whisker only share that moment of time while the Accolades will be showered on the Winners.

Cameroon gave us a “Gutsy” display and played their hearts out and we are proud to have witness a very entertaining fast flowing game of football unlike the previous games on offer. The country will mourn their exit from the world cup but they will hopefully come out stronger and better prepared in the years to come.

Who else will follow Cameroon. 15 others will suffer the same FATE.

DAP Sarawak “Bola-Land..??”

The FIFA World Cup has got everyone involved every inch of the way. Even the news of “Malim Nawar state assemblyman Keshvinder Singh resignation from DAP Perak to become a Barisan Nasional-friendly independent has not caught the imagination of the public in Sarawak. ”

He KENA BOLA LAH..We have heard and seen too many political stories to lasts us a lifetime says a political watcher. But FIFA World Cup is once every four years and when it happens it reminds us that we have aged ( 4 ) four years.”

Even DAP Sarawak MP Chong Chieng Jin is finding it difficult to sell his ‘SEMINAR” on the landcode this weekend at the DAP headquarters at 7.30pm. He even went further by saying,” Please attend, it will only be Holldand vs. Japan at that time, so not much to miss.” Please MP “HOLLAND “also cannot spell kah..? {Done DELIBERATELY..Hmmm please dont sue me. }Someone out there will be very angry as it could be their favourite team.

THIS IS BOLA-LAND

The talk of the town is obviously how well,”The German team has played and the way they carve out the poor Aussies” DAP Chong obvioulsy knows that the fever has certainly hit mosts Kuchingnites and there must be a contingency plan by even shifting the seminar to an earlier time.Has he dont {done}that..??

Maybe this { these }remarks from the two teams which was posted in the FACEBOOK could sway his mind. The people are the ones who put him there in the first place and he can remove himself after elected as and when he pleases like the Perak DAP assemblyman.

These two statements one from a lady and the other an ardent Football fan sits in nicely especially when Holland takes on Japan. Just coincidental that audie61 crew came across and here we have it.

On Japan-Japan is already World Champion with this first 11 : Honda, Toyota, Mitsubishi, Mitsuoka, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Mazda, Nissan, Daihatsu and Isuzu. {comments Must be, hence the performance }

 On Holland-Will Holland bring us to “holland”? { comments “holland” so many time by them get used to it already..what is one more time” }

Even PKR Stampin has got into the act in BOLA=LAND { BOLA-LAND }with this headlines Sarawakians”lets support Bafana-Bafana-http://hornbillunleashed.wordpress.com/2010/06/15/7559/

MP Chong WILL YOUR SEMINAR BE “SOLD-OUT OR BOLA OUT….?? “

{ Amended accordingly our spelling and grammar:-Oops sorry }

The “Howler the Bookies Loved”

The end result is what matters in football matches. True, everyone in the football fraternity sympathises with Rob Green for his”Howler” which also cursed former England keepers in David Seaman, Paul Robinson and Scott Carson. They have lived to tell their tales but the mistake by Rob Green in the England versus USA World Cup Game the Bookies certainly loved him. Why..??

The Handicap Odds England 1 ball accorded to USA.

During lunch yesterday we met a football punter who told audie61 minus the crew,”  All earlier 1st round games today receive the handicap. How very true..!! However there were some patrons in the coffeeshop who opposed and said ,

“Eat and Run Away Later”

My friend he was right yesterday and he must have made some $$$$$$. Lunch coming soon on him. The fact though at every World Cup or Big tournaments like the European championship we will hear of two or more familiar names packing their bags and leaving their home towns/cities. A lot of England fans were unhappy with the result but a lot of England punters must have

CURSED so Loudly that “BIG BEN” Rang

Rob Green “THE BOOKIES  LOVED

 YOU.”

“ITS THE GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH”

“No More B.S.”

Seems that the many voices against Sports Betting has been heeded by the Government. We played a little part in it and we highlighted amongst others this message to the BN Government. Our earlier article:- https://audie61.wordpress.com/2010/05/29/malaysia-b-s-reality-sucks/

Either one could see the beginning of an end to the ruling government in any other country except in Malaysia.

Do they care about the Barisan National Government?

These companies only care for their OWN BARISAN POCKETS and NOT Barisan National as a whole.

This latest report filed in shows that the Government is :-

LISTENING TO THE PEOPLE

The Finance Ministry has yet to issue a sports betting licence as the government is still sourcing feedback from the public on the matter.

In a written reply to four MPs, Finance Minister Najib Abdul Razak said the government had also yet to finalise the terms and conditions of the permit.

“The government is still sourcing feedback from various quarters for the proposal to license bookmaking in Malaysia, with the aim of reducing and subsequently eradicating illegal gambling,”

Some BN Grassroot supporters called audie61 and said,” The PM has listened to the people on the ground and he does and will not be pushed around eventhough it will generate revenue for the Government. Of course the opposition will say,” They have won a moral victory” but the Government above all should be commended for PUTTING A STOP TO SPORTS BETTING.

HOPE THIS IS NOT B.S.

Earlier Article filed:-The federal government’s recent decision to re-issue a sports betting licence to Ascot Sports Sdn Bhd continues to be the popular topic – this time in Parliament, as independent and opposition parliamentarians submitted their questions.

This is in addition to widespread opposition and public demonstrations against the licence issued to the company owned by business tycoon Vincent Tan.

vincent tan sports bettingTan (right) had recently defended sports betting and said that he will donate to charity the proceeds – amounting to half a billion ringgit – from the sale of Ascot Sports to the Berjaya Group.

“What is the fun of watching sports without betting,” he had quipped.

Up to four questions and one motion with regards to sports betting were recorded in today’s order paper, one each from Tian Chua (PKR-Batu), Ibrahim Ali (Independent-Pasir Mas), Khalid Samad (PAS-Shah Alam) and Anthony Loke (DAP-Rasah).

Tian Chua wanted the government to reveal why it cancelled the licence in 2004 and its rationale in reissuing it now.

“Why did the government issue the licence without open tender?” he asked further.

Ibrahim and Khalid wanted the government to explain why it persisted with issuing the licence in spite of it clearly contravening Islamic values and facing strong opposition from various segments of society.

Loke asked whether the government had considered the impact that the legalising of sports betting will have on society.

“The goverment should also justify why it approved the licence to Ascot Sports, why was the company chosen?” asked Loke in his question.

zulkifli noordinZulkifli Noordin (Independent-Kulim Bandar Baru) went a step further, following up with a motion for debate, moving for the house to urge to government to cancel the sports betting licence.

“It contradicts Syariah law and may give the wrong impression to youths that sports and gambling go hand in hand,” said Zulkifli (left) in his motion.

Due to lack of time, the questions were not answered this morning. But written answers are expected later today or early tomorrow.

Zulkifli’s motion however may also not see parliamentary debate as priority will be given to government business.

Be Amazed and Thrilled..Spellbound.!!

Wow! What a Buzzzz.. This was really something and 2431288 viewrs at time of blogging cannot be wrong. You gotta watch this all and listen and capture the moments and it will also push your adrenalin to its peak. Even Simon Cowell “remember him” said,”He has never seen anything like that in his life”

For someone like him to say that ,

“YOU JUST GOT TO WATCH”

Football 39 Years “There are Back”

Blackpool 9 years ago was on the brink to drop out of the Football League. Now they are back in the Land of ‘Milk and Honey” the Premier League. Cardiff City was expected to join West Bromwich and Newcastle into the Promised Land but at Wembley it did not happen. Ian Hollaway the Blackpool Manager outwitted Dave Jones Cardiff Manager with his teams enthusiasm and never say die attitude even though they were twice behind.

Cardiff City has been in the the news as a consortium from Malaysia has bought into the shares of the club and expected them to be in the Premiership. Extracted statement,” Vincent Tan and his group’s recent purchase of a controlling stake in Cardiff City (by the way, Cardiff City is in the playoff for the Premier League) … and all of a sudden,The potential upside to a Cardiff City promotion is tremendous. It’s not going to be taps that we are going to open, it’s going to be floodgates .”

However it turned out to be a momentous day for Blackpool and we saw a scintillating game and a dramatic game with 5 goals in the first half. Blakcpool won 3-2 and many congratulations to them.

The consortium will need to bear with Championship Football for another season or more as Cardiff City will do well to even come as close as to even sniff Wembley turf. It gets even harder as there are always an “Indian Sign” hanging over the Wembley Play-off Losers.

It isn’t always rosy for any company to take over a football club riddled with debts eventhough the facilities are all  first class. The structure might be in place but Cardiff will need more than a miracle worker or consortium to make her dream of Premiership Football alive. Back door through Football bookies or betting syndicates could just be an answer.Hmmm.

But British Football will not easily fall prey to what happened to Malaysian Football at its pinnaclein the 90’s. Whoever thinks that football is short term fast gains better just use their money some where else where it could generate faster gains.

The recent headline news of “Sports Betting License Approval” by the Malaysian Government was also to assist the consortium to advertise the company responsible as millions usually tune in every weekend to follow the Premeirship. This indeed is a Dampener and ‘Bad News” as far as Advertising Action Plans goes. However to the opposition voices in the legalised betting saga this Blackpool Win is a Blessing in disguise.

Blackpool for 39 years have lived their dream and today they have not only joined the Big Boys but the Reality is that they are Back to where they should be. The whole town and the community will welcome the Chelseas,MUs,Arsenals and Liverpools to Bloomfield Road (home ground) and they will  enjoy every minute of it in the 2010-2011 season.

Cardiff City and the new partners so near and yet so far. They had expected a 90 Million Pounds Windfall by going to the Premiership but Blackpool Won on the Day……

MCA Donald”7 Wins And Home Free”

Innovative! Creative! Eye Catching and Certainly a  Plus point for Donald Lim to back a Winner. This is what Paul Scholes of Man.united has to say,”The bottom line is that if we win all our matches we’ll win the league.” Manchester United can win all their remaining seven games to retain their Barclays Premier League crown.
Chelsea,Liverpool and Arsenal MCA voting delegates will need to think twice as Donald Lim is  a big fan of the Manchester United football club. No wonder they always say even now,” FOOTBALL EVERYWAY IS CLOSELY LINK TO POLITICS” Do we need to elaborate further.??
Of course politics is serious business but one must know how to carry the message across to win votes. Donald Lims campaign is no different and we hope he does pull it off at this MCA elections on 28th March 2010.
Donald Lim also said,”I hope leaders from Selangor will be united. But will the Selangor MCA leaders be united just like Manchester Uniteds team players who will need no extra push or incentives as they look forward to an unprecendented 4th title in a row and also overtaking arch rivals Liverpools 18th Title.
Lim is focusing his attention on Selangor because he said the state was very important to Barisan Nasional. “MCA suffered a huge setback by losing many of our state and parliamentary seats in the general election.”
All the bests Donald Lim from all of us at audie61.

“Permatang Pauh Politics in Sports..?” – Malaysiakini

My first impression was “Here we go” Politics putting its hand in Sports. “Here we go” is a rallying cry made famous by football fans all over in England as their teams go on attacking into their opponents goal. It was suppose also to arouse the sentiments of the players and push them to go for the win or to try to equalise from a goal down on the field. In Malaysia football we have our drums and kompang and our supporters are not as rowdy and has the hooligan elements inbuilt as the British fans. I know this very well as during the eighties too on weekends I followed the service crew boys supporting Leeds United as they went around the country causing mayhem and fear. ‘Malaysiakini portal carried this report http://www.malaysiakini.com/news/88146 headlined :Propaganda war in full swing. In Malaysia our politics though full of controversies and surprising elements have not reached that stage and  I thanked God for that. Well lets not divert from why Politics is in Sports.

Of course everyone wants to be seen and involved in Winners in all sports. Malaysian legislators are known to capitalise on this. Sarawak winning the league championship the players were brought from Kuching to Lawas and everywhere it was a government function. I know it too well as its publicity of the highest order and its a good Propaganda and advertisement for the government of the day. So( Datuk soon) Mr. Lee Chong Wei? You are going to be the “Man of the Moment” in Permatang Pauh.

Lee, Malaysia’s Olympics badminton silver medalist visited Parliament yesterday and would be honoured in a special ceremony in Penang tonight where he would be presented with a cheque for RM300,000 and a monthly pension of RM3,000. More to come as now the Chief Minister of Penang Lim Guan Eng said Chong Wei is going to be honoured because he had done not only Penang but also Malaysia proud with his achievement as the first Penangite to win a silver medal at the world’s biggest sports event.

Penang will award shuttler Lee Chong Wei, the state’s first Olympic silver medallist, with the Darjah Setia Pangkuan Negeri (DSPN) award, which carries the title Datuk, on Aug 30. BN will give the cheque while Pakatan Rakyat will give the Datukship. Wow! propaganda of the highest level and both do not want to be outdone. One is the federal governemeent while the other a State government. If it’s honours fair enough but sometimes politics does have more than a hand in Malaysian politics. I say congratulation again Chong wei, you deserve it and you have shown to Malaysian sportsman it pays to go all the way to the top  in Sports. Enjoy your moments of truimph………..Onwards to London and thanks for the badminton “Oohs and Aahs” moments.
