“Politics taken its TOLL on Economy..??

My brother in law who is Australian asked me,”Is it also happening over in Malaysia.?” Of course it is as the economic jitters caused by the massive plunge in financial markets has affected the whole global economy. Finance Minister Najib and also Deputy Prime Minister in this Malaysiakini report made a reassuring statement http://www.malaysiakini.com/news/90626 The government quickly offered investors reassurance today that the economy was strong despite turbulence in US and regional financial markets. “The fundamentals of the Malaysian economy are strong. The economy has the capacity to weather the destabilising consequences. Malaysians need to remain united and cohesive as the country prepares to face the global financial economic challenge.

But what was to come out from this PC was also quite straight forward and with it a “warning” with possible consequences.”What is so uncertain about our political situation? BN continues to be in power. Pakatan has been trying to rock the BN administration to submission but it still holds on to power steadfastly.

Now is not the time for politicking, speculation and political game by anybody. The government will act responsibly and swiftly to address any eventuality to safeguard the interest of the people and the nation,” Najib said.

Pakatan won an unprecedented 82 seats in the 222-member Parliament in March and took control of five of Malaysia’s 13 states. BN now has only a 28-seat majority in Parliament. UMNO has also indicated that PM Abdullah may step down by March and hand over the reins to Najib. Of course we know that if a country is too involved in too much politiking it creates uncertainty and unstability for foreign investors to even consider setting up their operations or bases.

The fears of political chaos in the country was also brushed aside by Najib and he continued that the government is confident of weathering the crisis as the BN is firmly in control with the majority still at 138 BN-81 Pakatan 3 independant. Najib in his capacity reassures the nation that the economy and political situation is very much in control and he knows that other factors are also crucial in maintaining the country remains stable.

Meanwhile Anwar took advantage of the season’s festivity to reiterate his populist economic philosophy that national wealth must be shared among the rakyat. The opposition leader said that “Malaysia is not mono-cultural”; as such, its economic growth and wealth must be understood and underscored by a wider meaning than is currently in practice.”Wealth cannot revolve around the few,it should become the motivator to liberate society from oppression and tyranny. This is what we emphasise to be a human economy. “An economy built on human principles of man as a moral being and not merely homo economicus who only prioritises one’s self,”

Politics certainly has taken it toll on the nation and for now with Hari Raya Aidil Fitri tomorrow Malaysians will be too busy wishing those of the Muslim faith a SELAMAT HARI RAYA………and what happens economically outside in the world can wait while Malaysians celebrate and indulge in food and merry making…..

Loathe Him or Like Him-Double Ace..??

He made the call. He said BN MPs was given the runaround by “two Businessman” promising perks and cabinet positions. Has he got the right one may ask? Of course, he can as he is after all the Backbenchers Chairman. This report not too long ago by Malaysiakini http://www.malaysiakini.com/news/78637 MP Tiong King Sing is very much a ‘misunderstood’ personality. He created an uproar then in 2007 when he alleged that gangsters were creating havoc in the town including controlling the prices of essential commodities. There was also his statement of a corrupt police force in Sibu caused Bukit Aman to swing into action. Known underworld kingpins were rounded up and many were banished. He earned his first stripe and it has turned into a very rewarding one for him. It was his first ace.

Next two weeks ago he was widely blamed for the “Infamous Taiwan trip” where MPs were brought for an agricultural field trip. That was just part of the poker game to create a diversionary tactic so that his opponents would fall for it. At that time we thought it was a waste of public funds to see the MPs going on a trip overseas. The bigger picture was to lure out the people involved in entrapping the BN MPs who are “vulnerable and weak” to just move from BN house because the other house Pakatan will benefit them in the short run.

Who cares in the long run? They need to look after their constituencies and also “THEMSELVES” Selfish ?? Of course,yes,yes,yes.. Who doesn’t as three meals on the table plus other necessities are basic for Members of Parliament. We say, the GREED OF MAN will always see to their own downfall and it nearly was for the 30 or 40 odd MPs. In step MP Tiong who is known now as one of the “movers and shakers” of Malaysian politics.

Ace No2 is about to be unfold. Tiong was quoted as saying in the New Straits Times that three MPs said they had been approached by businessmen purportedly with links to the Pakatan Rakyat opposition.“Who believes him anyway? That is not the way to accuse people. He must show proof regarding his allegations,” PKR information chief Tian Chua told Malaysiakini .Tiong had also claimed that a businessman also tried to tempt him. However, Tiong refused to divulge the names of the businessmen involved.

Why..? It’s simple..Someone on the table has called a ‘bluff’ and he hasn’t got any more cards to play as it is already open on the table. Pushing the panic button is one thing. Close his cards for now and let the “businessman” go for it will all guns blazing. The signals are there for the taking but don’t forget who after all is the dealer. On the table who are with you and not with you in the card game is very much debatable. Just when you think the ACE is missing it will pop up..! Questionable..? Look around you and tell me who is the ruling Government and tell me its impossible to come out with the goods. No,no,no.

The Hari Raya Open House will be a time also to GAUGE who is on your side by their visitations. Don’t tell me no way as I would not BELIEVE you. A lecturer friend said to me that internationally its acceptable but I pointed out. This is not ‘International politics” but “Malaysian Politics” As much as i want to see beyond that i can’t, as if you are actively involved in a Political party in Malaysia you will understand what I mean. The theories and lessons taught in political sciences and their methodlogies are only good for the books but not YET OPENLY ACCEPTABLE in MALAYSIAN CULTURE. Sorry..!!!

‘We do want to forge all the political enemies together as alliances but at this period in time it will take a herculean and historic effort. No Way as the deck of cards have been dealt and its about to be the Final “SHOW HAND” TIME. Would you believe someone saying,” What if Anwar is going to be Perintah (government) soon.?” We have only to look no further than the 12th of october. BN absolutely love Tiong for his up todate political tactics and it leaves the “businessman: no choices but to go running to Anwar to explain about their failed “SWEETENERS”

A YB in the Sarawak State cabinet even mentioned to me,” Our MPs are not easily bought over and they can try.” Is our CM fretting and jumping up and down to be caught by the spin miesters in this “web of deceit”. Only a new POLITICAL MASTER will enhance their already damaged reputation to be back in line for favours and be trusted again.

HOLD ON..WAIT..Hmmm. Even after proving they may even be sent to the Guillotine as for the NEW MAN at the helm only needs to trust his machais and closest aides. The Jackie Chan box office movie,” WHO AM I.?” will not have been released if the dirty political dealings are not unwrapped.

I  mention jokingly to a SPDP friend that the “White Rabbit Sweet” is now with a “Torrone Sweet” Cover. Both are white but which one is DEADLY. Would you know..? Something like a spy working for both BN and Pakatan. Seems like Anwars failed 916 takeover bid did not materialise as “WHAT HAS BEEN PROMISED WAS NEVER DELIVERED.” Does Anwar know..? Sure, disappointed that he may be but he will ensure that these “people” will face their fate when it is the appropriate time.

Personally. I do not know Tiong but from what i gather from the Exco Youth boys of SPDP he does keep his word and is very meticulous in his work. Some may loathe him but if I may quote from this Malaysiakini report,” it appears,Tiong has now become a popular and acceptable candidate on both sides of the political divide…in Bintulu, at least.” The choice is yours and we know now that BN absolutely loves him. So Tiong, the sms that flew from Sarawak to Sabah for a delegation visit on 11th -13th proves that you have just asked them to SHOW HAND. It’s a DOUBLE ACE and he has earned his second stripes.  Wishing all our Muslim friends a ‘SELAMAT HARI RAYA’ MAAF ZAHIR DAN BATIN“…….

PM Anwar or Najib..? ~ Malaysiakini

Malaysiakini correspondent Fauwaz Abdul Aziz has this report http://www.malaysiakini.com/news/90580 headlined Who makes the better PM..? The obvious choice with the sentiments of the country would be DSAI. According to the report. A total of 1,002 persons were randomly polled between over two weeks between Sept 11 and 22 by the Merdeka Centre Research Organisation.

  • When both men were matched up on who was better to head the country – 40 percent went with Anwar, with Najib trailing at 34 percent
  • 1/4 were undecided or unimpressed with both candidates.
  • 39 percent agreed that Najib would make a good premier, while 44 percent disagreed.
  • Anwar appeared to garner more support from non-Malays compared to Najib, which was primarily Malay

Both of them are what at the moment we call,”Prime Ministers in Waiting.” We shall just ask this question ,”Mirror,Mirror who amongst these two will make a better PM.?” In 5 years time we might just be saying,”IF ONLY…..”

“Peoples Movement SABAH..or SPM..???” – Malaysiakini

Malaysiakini report by Athi Veeranggan http://www.malaysiakini.com/news/90552  has headlined MCA-Gerakan merger pointless we have just received wind from the Land below the Wind that a new political party is about to surface in Sabah. TRUEeee.. kah..?? I asked but the source said that it might just materialise. The Deputy Chief Minister Raymond Tan and the rests who are not in tandem with Yong Teck Lee are the prime movers.

What then is the name? Its People’s Movement Sabah.. We had a good laugh as it just might also be called Post Mahathir Syndrome or reverse it SPM( Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia).  PMS if you are more CREATIVE you will know what it is call..hehehe Oooooh what a name.!!! Let’s just hope it a HOAX or they will really be in a tough SPOT and also be ridiculed….

This statement by Chief Minister of Penang Lim Guan Eng should be read across the board,” “It would be pointless to merge if this is to change only its style, for it does not bring any benefit to the people. Whether or not it will change BN in substance is for the merging parties to answer.” What then is in Raymond Tan’s mind and his trusted supporters..? It takes someone from outside to see what is in the coffeecup. PMS or MCA/Gerakan its time to REINVENT or be REPLACED by GE13.

“PKR,UMNO RELAXES MCA Prepares for Oct 18..??

Selamat Hari Raya Maaf Zahir dan Batin were sms messages from Political Leaders informing their supporters, friends, close aides on what dates and time they will be celebrating Open houses in the various constituencies. PKR and UMNO leaders are taking a break from too much “mud and bricks” thrown at each other and prepare to usher in the festive season. While PKR and UMNO relaxes MCA aspirants are in the final leg of their campaigning and will be using the holiday period to step up their respective election machinery.

This Malaysiakini report http://www.malaysiakini.com/news/90528 shows that the MCA elections is going full steam. It’s a three way fight and Donald Lim said this,” “I am offering myself to provide delegates another alternative and vision,”  With him joining in the fray it will be a three-cornered fight against ex-vice president Dr Chua Soi Lek and secretary-general Ong Ka Chuan.

It was supposed to be the classic “Chuas vs Ongs” tussle but now with Lim it gives another option for the delegates to vote. MCA delegates will have to choose for themselves the leaders who will bring back former glories and lost turf for the party. It is a difficult choice no doubt to make MCA a strong ally again in BN but the grassroots are saying that the party needs to reinvent, rebrand, reposition or stay IRRELEVANT. Obviously, there will be uncertainties in the minds of the delegates on who they want as the “MCA TEAM PLAYERS”but it remains that they will have a choice now.

So when Donald Lim said that he was motivated to go for party number two due to strong grassroots demand for reform, to keep the party relevant, and abreast with the rapidly changing political climate in the country he sensed that the No.2 Post is there for the taking. October 18th will hold the dreams of those aspirants for positions in MCA.

PKR and UMNO members and leaders will just sit back and relax for now. As for us in audie61,Natasha,Cindy and Bugi and the team wishes everyone a “SELAMAT HARI RAYA” MAAF ZAHIR AND BATIN” ..Drive Carefully and Stay ALERT on the ROADS…..

“A Little Too late”

Andrew Ong reported in Malaysiakini http://www.malaysiakini.com/news/90498 that  Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah has called on Umno members to reject the postponement of party elections to March next year, purportedly to facilitate a smooth transition of power, as it is not provided for in the party constitution.

Natasha says though he likes Tengku or affectionately known as ‘KU LI” its a little too late. There seems to be already a ‘deal that is cut and dry’. What more can we say.? Lets just wait for the Divisional meetings which willstart from October 9 to November 9th. In his 50 minutes PC Tengku Razaleigh stressed several times that the transition plan was undemocratic and had made Malaysia an international laughing stock. It’s UMNO internal party politics and we await what is coming up next.

Ku Li will be putting his name in to go for the Presidency and like he say he doesn’t ‘Flip-Flop” lets just hope that UMNO give him a chance or should they..? He needs 58 to qualify to be in the nomination lists for Party President. Can he muster the necessary………?

ANWAR”YOUR SWEETENERS..SLICED YOU UP.”

When Malaysiakini portal carried this report http://www.malaysiakini.com/news/90415 Your say 916 a brilliant move but… we had comments from

  • Durian: widely reported story that middlemen from Pakatan and BN were conducting secret talks.
  •  Nike: Let’s be patient. Let’s wait till the next general election. After all the hype of September 16.
  • AToong: It created mutual suspicion within the enemy (BN) camp, thus causing internal dissension and weakening it from within.
  • Takeda : Anwar claims the transition is not happening because of a blatant disregard for democratic principles.
  • Daljit:  It does not surprise me that many people are questioning Anwar’s credibility and the existence of his list of defectors Vijay: Anwar Ibrahim has been called many names
  • GMan: I think PKR shot themselves in the foot by giving a date for the change and then changing the goal post each time.

These are summarised feelings of people who feels that they have been betrayed, cheated and brought to heaven and back.(or was it Hell..?) Anwar you must have known that some of the  people who you entrusted also failed you in 1988. They are now coming to support you back like wolves in sheep skin. Mahathir has said already that,” If you think you have enough financial clout don’t even underestimate BN.”

Even the Back Benchers Chairman has openly come up with strong statements on the people involved. Of course he needs to engage the forces as they are disrupting the alliances in BN and promising the world of ‘SWEETENERS” which are rather OLD TACTICS USED in this modern political landscape. Those days, when this was practised the news can only come out 3 or 4 days later in mainstream media. Today in the intelligence network of “SUPPORTERS” but are “SPIES” its dissected within minutes and action is manouvered instantaniously.” We know that even the US who set up their intelligence system and units and they have spent USD 50 to 75 billion from 1945 till the 80’s. Today one can only imagine how high the intelligence EXPENSES are.

Anwar ,”look into the people who are with you and be moreRUTHLESS.” Even an UMNO exco member who requests anonymity said,”You are going for REVENGE on the government that has taken away 10 years of your political limelight.” True, I would have done the same BUT we cannot all the time keep the enemies close. The road to your political survival or ruin will very much depend on how you thoroughly assessed the situation and tell these businessman to bring the MPS to you and have a PRESS CONFERENCE.

Even 2 or 4 current BN MPs like you promised Let me say it LOUDLY,” THOSE WHO WON IN 2008.”and not “FORMER MPs PLEASE”  will create an underlying political current of some magnitude. Your statement,” “They have called me a lot of things before but) the point is, if they really believe I am a liar then put me to(the) test and have a (no-confidence) vote taken (in parliament).

Parliament resumes sitting on 13/10 you can even stage a coup de’tat with all the MPs inside (they are not away in TAIWAN anymore). Get those who are supposed to deliver you the MPS prove their worth? What now even sms of big delegations going to KL from Sabah and Sarawak to see you installed as PM. Wonder what is next.? Do I need to know Anwar..?

WHY are they afraid as they say they have nothing to lose.? I say it’s all pardon me,”B###S$$$” as they are carving you all up to protect their own BUSINESS EMPIRES and INTERESTS. The threat of you coming back to power will jeorpadise what they already have enjoyed for 10 years or more when you are inside the “6’X8′ Room’ Do they care…???

Even one has a cheek to say,”Even in my wildest dream I would not have imagined Anwar is back.”   Ask them who is their GOD..Anwar if you must ? They will tell you and God will forgive and protect me if I am wrong. Politics has a way of getting back at the very people who despises the ‘Almighty Creator’ Just pick up a M$ one ringgit and ask them..??

Even this Star report which says Deputy Dewan Rakyat Speaker Datuk Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar revealed that he had been approached five times to cross over to Pakatan Rakyat, including once by a wealthy businessman. He said the businessman did not make him any offers but asked how much he was worth. I have been a few times to the Deputy Speakers house and when he said,” “I said I’m worth my name, my reputation and my integrity, which cannot be valued in monetary terms,” I totally agree. He has the integrity and his allegiance to BN has never wavered. So Anwar your “SWEETENERS” have really sliced you up. A political analysts even went as far as how many more cabinet positions can Anwar give. Why not give all the 42 MPs who supposedly are to cross all the cabinet FEDERAL Ministerial positions. Just wait for the GE13 and save your sweeteners for then as now you have 5 States and 81 + (2 SAPP independant MPs) to look after.

Last week when Tiong said a businessman and a lawyer were approaching MPs on behalf of Pakatan with promises of Cabinet positions there must be some truth. We were “CAUGHT” by surprised at first but with the deputy speaker Junaidi coming out with this statement it is now an OPEN SECRET.’ Anwar a piece of advice,Let them the socalled “negotiators””middleman””kingmaker’ whatever names we can give them tell their “SUPPOSEDLY” MPs who are with ‘them’ have A Press Conference first. Simple bah! WE ARE NOW NO MORE BN AND ARE JOINING ANWAR.

THIS WAY YOUR CREDIBILITY WILL NOT GO DOWN FURTHER,” SHOW IT” I would if I am in your position. It’s the TREE SHAKING THEORY. Where, then do we draw the line.? Its a political stalemate Anwar and there seems to be no solution in sight. Now even UMNO has used the transition period to boost up its image. Once UMNO consolidates and puts their house in order PAKATAN will find it tough to break it loose. A party member will see through what and how their party solves its internal crisis and problems. They will remain true no matter what storm comes. Your loyal Keadilan members will remain with you and so will the UMNO faithful. What we are really concerned is that this politiking has inflicted more harm to the country. Malaysia has losts its stability and the foreign investments are turning to other countries around the regon to invests rather than to sit around and wait. This political “SWEETENERS” is also slicing the country up as at the end of the day the fate of the nation is in their hands and it may FALL APART. They should be a STOP somewhere and MALAYSIABOLEHLAND knows there are more twists and turns………

“U’WAaaT 13/10 SOAP OPERA or NEW GOVERNMENT…?

Under attack What..? This Malaysiakini report http://www.malaysiakini.com/news/90484 from the Federal Capital Kuala Lumpur headlines two Molotov cocktails were thrown into the family home of Seputeh member of parliament Teresa Kok. Yesterday the focus was on UMNO’s transition of power and subsequently the “Special Supreme Council” meeting. For better or for worse the country held its breadth and it turn out to be just the postponement of the UMNO AGM. Today the attention focusses back to Teresa who had the whole nation in suspense as she was taken in under the ISA. Seems it has been solved but her VOCAL strains must have upset not just a few.
Bugi Wijaya in Sabah things has been equally interesting. The sms that flew around in Sarawak had a “Gravitational Pull” and it has made its presence felt in Sabah too. Arrangements are also being made to flock to Kuala Lumpur for visitations and also to make their way in numbers to the Parliament on October 13th. Another “SOAP OPERA..?” one LDP member asked. Seems that Pakatan have enough members to wrestle the Federal Government as they are flying them all in to K.L to visit the PM in Waiting. Everyone will expect Anwar to do a coup d’etat on 13/10 and thats why all the arrangements are being done says a PBS Youth exco who requests anonymity.

Meanwhile SAPP internal readjustments are picking up momentum.  It seems that the official media news has been playing the story of an internal crisis resulting from the withdrawal from BN, but this is far from the truth. It seems that the gang of three (Hakiman who I met in Telipok said ‘kenapa selalu nya mesti tiga orang?) comprising of  ‘self-proclaimed out of SAPP but yet to submit his resignation letter’ Raymond Tan,
ex-vice president Jimmy Wong Chee Kiong and ex-youth chief Au Kam Wah has not made any serious impact to SAPP.

Credit must be given to all of them for resigning from their government post except for Jimmy Wong who did not resign from his post as political secretary to the chief minister. One would expect when a former founder member/deputy president Datuk Tham Nyip Shyen combined with the three ‘heavyweight’ quit the party there would be a mass exodus.  Until today, there was none.

Ironically, when former LDP Vice President Datuk Liew Yun Fah was drop as a candidate in the last election, there was a crowd of more than 2,000 to welcome him compare to a crowd of a mere 200 welcoming Datuk Raymond Tan at the Sandakan airport.A quick survey done on the ground shows that SAPP are gaining support. This is especially felt in the kadazandusun area.
A strong PBS grassroot supporter who declined to be named said,”SAPP did the right thing for the rakyat. Without them fighting KL would not even hear us or acede to our request.  I just wish our leaders would have the courage to act like Datuk Yong Teck Lee.”

A youth leader of UPKO confessed that members at the grassroot are getting impatient with their party stand.  This has made the option of throwing their support behind PKR or SAPP getting attractive b the days.On UPKO, as if reading the feelings from the ground, deputy president Datuk Seri Panglima Wilfred Bumburing has said that UPKO would review its position in BN due the incident of illegals gaining citizenship while local loses theirs. This is in response to Resource Development and Information Technology Assistant Minister, Donald Peter Mojuntin highlighting the case of  78-year-old Sino-Kadazan Yong Lee Hua @ Piang Lin.

Yong holding a Bumiputra Native Certificate has seen her status as full-fledged Malaysian being reduced to that of a Permanent Resident by the National Registration Department (NRD), and with the latter showing no remorse or urgency in reverting to her original status. This happen when she went to make a new identity card after hers was lost.Donald in sharing her fears saying her children’s citizenship could also be withdrawn. There has never been a case like this before when genuine Malaysians had their citizenship cancelled. If this can happen to her,it can happen to anybody(Malaysians),” he said.

Is this the start of a move by UPKO to also withdraw from BN?  Whatever it is, people and even existing leaders of BN in Sabah and Sarawak are reaping what SAPP has sown over these few short months.  If previously the Federal Government could take a laid back attitude towards these two founding partners of Malaysia, today the situation is different.

What ever you ask, most likely you will get.  This is generally what all the small time hawkers are saying. So whatever the reasons one has to thank SAPP for being BRAVE or rather FOOLISH. They have tilted the balance somewhat and BN will be on their toes. The Rakyat will not just sit back and accept whatever comes their way but they will make noises and their voices will be heard LOUD and CLEAR………….The DRUM ROLLS from Sarawak and Sabah are for real…”13/10 NEW GOVERNMENT…???

“Formation of NEW GOVERNMENT..13/10..WHY..?”

Which school of thought would just ignore the voices of 35 Protem UMNO Cawangans with 68000 new registered members who can contribute to National Politics. Most political analysts and UMNO strategists will immediately say,”It’s time we give these calves a platform to show themselves.” Sarawak will provide the perfect platform for UMNO to remain relevant. The protem committee has shown their apprentership since September 11th 2006 and with the news trickling through that the AGM has been postponed as per this Malaysiakini report http://www.malaysiakini.com/news/90445 and also a new deadline has been set by the PM. What are their chances? Will it be a little too late come March 2009? The threat of a MAJOR SURPRISE and its getting a bit silly now that 13/10 is the new 916.

There has been some sms circulating round in Kuching to Miri that there are invitations to attend a Hari Raya visit to KL from 11th to 13th October. What does this imply and according to an UMNO protem member its been arranged by “someone” from Sarawak. No names were mentioned but its not just an ordinary Hari Raya visit as the TIMING has its linked to something quite similar to the “MING COURT” of 1987. Do you remember the car changing “STUNTS’..? This time MPs are going to be captured and they have been warned not to fall for the SWEETENERS as “the eyes” are watching. 32 BN MPs staying behind Anwar at a PC at Parliament House would just be that MAJOR SURPRISING EVENT. Will It happen..?

The sms gets even better as the organiser seems to try to cover by just saying “following instructions’ very much like a “coffee boy”. There is also a name lists made up and “HOW DARK IS THIS FOR UMNO..? The forces which are in action seems to go all out with the “ATTITUDE WE LIVE TO FIGHT.” Nothing will stop us as “ITS A NEW DAWN”  Sarawak Keadilan is for real and if UMNO does not see the threat that it provides not only for the BN coalition but also for NATIONAL POLITICS. Just an sms..? Dont think so and its time the UMNO strategists put in more than just a ‘Little Concern”.

We all know that UMNOs time will come but not as yet as PBB is still significant. The political landscape has changed drastically and PBB had been playing the role that UMNO played in West Malaysia through meeting the aspirations of Sarawakians. There is just an ABSOLUTE need now. Keadilan membership strength just gets stronger daily while UMNO just watches. No,no,no, TIME TO STRIKE and to tell KEADILAN we will go all out to regain our losts ground. Jawatankuasa Penaja Umno Negeri Sarawak (JPUNS), sees it will be a matter of time before the party opens its doors in Sarawak officially.

UMNO is the lead partner in the BN coalition and it cannot be seen to be weaker than Parti Keadilan. Statistics, findings, figures(collected by JPUNS)and political favouritism has seen the reduction in popular support for Barisan National in the Malay/Melanau constituencies in Sarawak. UMNO will be seen as shield plus another “political platform” to stem the tide of the people crossing in LARGE NUMBERS over to Parti Keadilan Rakyat.

A lecturer friend in a local university said that the calls for “UMNO” to consolidate itself and build from within and look for new FRESH leaders augurs well for the party. If Anwar can do it Why not UMNO who has been in power for 50 years. It’s not just going to close shop and ship out is it..? The jigsaw specialists( warlords) within UMNO will not allow it to happen. He remembers very well that when he was studying in  Leicester University in England in the mid 1980’s a close friend said,”I Like and Envy the MALAYSIAN CABINET. 70% new faces and graduates and the young/old mixture will ensure Malaysia progress economically and as a Nation.” How very true he says and today UMNO needs to reinvent or be replaced.

When Information chief Muhammad Muhammad Taib told reporters that the decision to postpone the party polls was good for all, “for the president and the party” he meant it. This will obviously ease some tension and sees that they will be a unified stand. The supreme council of UMNO will need to rethink and will have to analyse each and every issue with a hands on approach.

Sarawaks FULL FLEDGED MEMBERSHIP  is worth considering in the next AGM scheduled in March and with UMNO Sarawak playing their roles side byside with PBB and the other coalition partners Keadilan/DAP/PAS will have their hands FULL.

Be it Najib,Muhyddin or any other leader who will be entrusted to see this ‘calf’ grow they will still need the necesary guidance to make a significant impact in National politics. UMNO Sarawak used to be on everyones lips but today with Keadilan Sarawak making headway and intrusions in the rural areas a minor readjustment needs to be done.

JPUNS like a new child on the block cannot wait for the chance to prove themselves on the playing field. Afterall they just celebrated their 2nd anniversary on 911 and they hope that the 6 months will come sooner than later. The sms which was circulated is something which we will inform the headquarters says the JPUNS protem member. MALAYSIABOLEHLAND would just welcome an additional player in the local political field which will spice it all up………don’t you agree..?

Call it “AFTER-SHOCK”

There was a shout,”UMNO AGM postponed” When and Why was the next obvious questions from the table made up of lawyers and politicians as we were having lunch. Check out Malaysiakini said one by the name of Tang and this report http://www.malaysiakini.com/news/90424  and the WHY is simple as answered by PM,” The decision is mine, you can go on guessing. As far as I’m concerned I love the party. The postponement of the AGM is to facilitate the transition plan,”

You would have thought that its a good move wouldn’t you? Buying time, as the Umno supreme council today decided to postpone its party polls and annual general meeting to March next year. But do I smell somthing here as usually when a month is mentioned there must be some dates thrown in. Am I correct or was it a deliberate act? Could it be we are in for more AFTER SHOCKS after the 12th GE which was held on March 2008. Then everyone called it the “MARCH 8th TSUNAMI“. It is very ironic that UMNO has postponed it to March why not April or May as the UMNO constitution allows it.

My humble gut feeling is that there will be something which will swing towards Abdullahs way and he will just call for a “SNAP POLLS” to see that Najib leads the BN coalition against the Anwar led Pakatan. If Pak Lah does that he will be seen as a “Wise and Full of Wisdom PM.” How can he just pass the baton on knowing that the BN is still shaky at its seams and the bubble will just burst. Najib and the UMNO veterans will all put the blame on Abdullah.

Say what you like, PM Abdullah has schemed a PLAN which he has up his sleeves that even Anwar and Pakatan will be caught off guard. I just hope my GUT FEELING or INTUITION is wrong…MALAYSIABOLEHLAND has not stop to amaze us yet and it goes on. For now with the divisional elections proceeding  as scheduled from Oct 9 to Nov 9,it is the time to…CHOP..! CHOP..!! CHOP..!!
