In midst of SUPP-UPP spat, Abdul Karim of PBB knocks Foo for an election loser, and says the two parties should talk it over behind closed doors and not in the press.

PETALING JAYA: Controversial SUPP Youth leader Milton Foo has been taken to task for demanding the resignation of Sarawak’s second finance minister, Wong Soon Koh.
PBB supreme council member Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah pointed out that Foo had lost to the Opposition in Pending at the state elections in May, whereas Wong had retained his Bawang Assan seat for the Barisan Nasional (BN).
“I do not know if he (Foo) is in the position to comment on this matter. Whatever Milton says, I think the voice of the people has more prominence,” he was quoted as saying.
Borneo Post Online reported that Karim urged SUPP and UPP leaders to resolve their differences behind closed doors instead of taking it to the press.

“Just like a husband and wife quarreling, they have to find a way of building up the relationship. It may take a little bit of time but it is for the people of Sarawak,” he said, adding he would like to see leaders of both parties become close once more.
Foo was reported to have said yesterday that Wong should resign from the Cabinet position because he had chosen to remain with UPP, a BN-friendly party but not a member of the ruling coalition.
Wong had been the leader of UPP, a splinter party of the SUPP, and stepped down in order to contest the elections as a direct BN candidate.
By going back to UPP, Wong had showed that he had no intentions of honouring his previous undertakings to the BN, and should therefore resign from his ministerial post, said Foo.
In the run up to the state election, Foo had courted controversy by openly criticising Sarawak BN chairman Adenan Satem over candidate selection, but soon retracted it and apologised.karin-milton-foo
