Breaking News:-P185 Batu Sapi

At 9.35am our SAPP insider said it’s confirmed. Yong Teck Lee President of SAPP will be the candidate for the upcoming by election P185 for SAPP. Its a clear sign and a test for the slogan,’Sabah for Sabahans” which SAPP has been using eversince they broke away from the BN coalition.

It is now 100% confirmed that Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) will contest the Batu Sapi parliamentary seat in the 13th by-election to be held in Malaysia.

The seat  fell vacant with the demise of the incumbent Datuk Edmund Chong in a superbike accident involving a Mercedes Benz S320.

The nomination has been set at 26 October with polling on the 4 November 2010.

Updates:- P185 Batu Sapi,”SAPP Says its on..”

An sms received read,” It’s on. Will keep you updated. The SAPP President will not hold back and he  says  an opposition win will signal the end of the BN’s reign in the Land Below the Wind”

We also received an article from our Sabah political Correspondent Bugi Wijaya

Its confirmed that Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) will contest the Batu Sapi parliamentary seat in the 13th by-election to be held in Malaysia.

The seat which fell vacant with the demise of the incumbent Datuk Edmund Chong in a superbike accident involving a Mercedes Benz S320.

At this time, the party leadership are still in a meeting with the local CLC leaders on the plan for the by-election campaign.

Although no names on who will be representing SAPP in this contest, it is believed that a local leader will be picked.

As a party which practises non racial politics, a party leader who prefer to remain anonymous said that our candidate chosen is capable and we do not look at race as an issue. The important thing is he or she is ready to shoulder the challenge to serve the local community and bring about change to fulfil the party struggle to bring changes to Sabah political scenario.

Efforts to contact the other opposition leaders for their comment were not successful.

While SAPP have their candidate in mind, it is believe Sabah Pakatan Rakyat have yet to come to a consensus on their choice of candidate.

The interesting thing is that on the evening of polling day 4.11.2010 will see Prime Minister YAB Dato’ Sri Najib Tun Razak hosting a dinner for his Facebooks friends and on 5.11.2010 will witness the SAPP Congress.

Who will win? We will know then.

P185 Batu Sapi Updates…!

From our Sabah Political correspondent Bugi Wijaya

As Malaysians stay glued to the electronic media listening to the budget 2011 tabled by the Prime Minister at Parliament, it is believed that Sabah Progressive Party has set up a blog (http://batusapi.blogspot.com/) in anticipation of the by-election for the Batu Sapi parliamentary seat.  This is the earliest “confirmation” that the Sabah party would be contesting the parliamentary seat.

The seat fall vacant after the fatal accident involving incumbent MP YB Datuk Edmund Chong.  The nomination has been set at 26 October with polling on the 4 November 2010 which is concurrently the same time as the Kelantan Galas state seat.

SAPP Supreme Council in its meeting tomorrow is expected to endorse the party to contest the seat. There has been no lobbying as candidate among the SAPP members unlike the Sabah Pakatan Rakyat where a few aspiring leaders are locked in discussion on their choice of candidate.

With the decision of SAPP to enter the fray the Batu Sapi by-election would most likely see a three corner fight between PBS-BN, PR and SAPP.  However do not be surprise on the emerging of independent candidates which will make it the more the merrier.

No matter how many corner fight it is, the local would benefit from the economic influx as in any by-elections held thus far.

“Loyalty Betrayal”

In politics there has always been “The Truth of Inconveniece’ There are many things which should not be hung for public viewing and in mosts cases it will be swept and covered literally.

The trusts of the chief executive of the state upon his fellow colleagues to abide within the boundaries of the law should never be questioned. But when ones term of office is nearing the end and cracks are seemingly visible there will be some who will suddenly be seizing upon the opportunity to be “turncoats”

In the case of Sarawak and Sabah CM in the past few months the people who both of them trusted are beginning to look elsewhere and has begun to show their true colours. They had FAITH in the very institution they believe in and for mosts of them “survival’ means to disclose the acts of their present paymasters and maybe they might just even escape being strunged up with a noose on their necks. These are mostly for their SELFISH ENDS or a big paycheck.

The dirty world of politics does not take any prisoners. Most legislators would have to stand out and be counted. There is also NO SUCH THING AS BEING LOYAL. It doesn’t take much for any one to figure how the opposition or the MACC get hold of the official or secret documents. Most of the people involved would just cut FLAK in order to live to fight another day.

The present Chief Minister of Sarawak and Sabah are facing their toughest battle but they are both very useful and commands respect due to the present political scenario. The ones who has so far been seen to betray the loyalty of both of them will soon be FLUSHED OUT.

The detractors will know that there is only one hiding place for them to feel safe. Figure this one out yourself. Until both of the CMs get a new mandate from the people of Sarawak and Sabah with overwhelming majority and confidence the act of betrayal will still rear its ugly head.

BN and Pakatan leaders are watching both these states with eagles eyes and ready to pounce at the slightest opportunity which presents itself. LDP Sabah now is beginning to show its colours against Musa while certain factions within SUPP are not too happy with Taib. The faith shown by PMNajib to these two under attack CMs has been very clear. He will not betray both of them for the benefit of the some opportunists within the coalition itself.

The BN and in fact Pakatan are playing the same tune that they will stick and swim with the loyalists instead of those who play to the tune and sound of “A Betrayer’ The undercovers also have their shelflife and those who show their colours especially with “Loyalty Brand ” will be the toss of the people and the parties concerned.

So who amongst the ones in Sarawak and Sabah will earn the Tag of a loyalists. So who will be the betrayer.

ASK YOUSELF THIS.. WHAT ARE YOU….???

“BN Becomes Opposition..??”

ARE WE RUNNING OUT OF TIME..??

This was posted by Susan Loone’s Blog today:-BN prepares itself to be Opposition July 4th 2010 while we posted 1st march 2009 Oooh Ai..!BN Sarawak Will still be Government after 2011..(reposted below) However it gets better and Joe Fernandez of Malaysiakini has this UMNO set to muscle itself into Sarawak.

WHO IS BEHIND ALL THIS..??

Our 1st March Article:-

BN Sarawak will still be the State Government after the next State elections. You don’t need to be a Harvard or Oxford Politically trained analysts  to see it happening. Realistically speaking yes but the opposition figures in Sarawak will beg to differ. On what grounds are we saying this? Do we need to substantiate the above statement?

Even Sim Kwang Yang MP for Bandar Kuching from 1982 to 1995 posting his article in Malaysiakini “The fighting cocks in Batang Ai” has this,”But the newly emergent PKR in Sarawak is a rag-tag rainbow coalition of sometimes very unlikely allies, and Dayak politics in Sarawak has been nothing less than divisive traditionally.”

A political lecturer who teaches in a local university said this is apparently what the opposition leaders are fighting for to gain political mileage but knowing that they are against the mighty machinery of the BN government.

They need to realise that BN is a united front while the opposition seems a loose front in Sarawak. In Peninsular Malaysia its delicately put together as ‘Pakatan front” but in Sarawak its still VERY DIVIDED. The lecturer said it will be true come the Sarawak elections and if the by election in Batang Ai is a gauge the metaphor,”United we stand,Divided we fall” will be more than an indicator for the opposition.

The groundswell is apparent with PKR/DAP making inroads into the interior and rural BN Bastions. Are the rural  areas ready for PKR or DAP? It’s another new political vehicle in which the rural folks seems confused with. There was the 1987 PBDS Dayakism and Permas platform in which 20 seats were wrestle out of a possible 48 seats.

The rural and interior landscape has changed dramatically since those volatile times. Would the voters just change and go against BN for something that they are unfamiliar with? 1987 represents the best time for the state to be in the opposition Maju group but it failed to materialise though the whole state was gripped with the ‘DAYAKISM FACTOR”.

What chances then does ‘KEADILANISM” or “AGI IDUP AGI NGELABAN” war cry adopted by top PKR leadership in its quests to take Sarawak  from BN have..? Maybe a sprinkling of seats here and there in the 71 State seats. We have to be realistic and this article in Malaysiakini where Sarawak National Party (Snap) is believed to be keen to field a candidate for the forthcoming by-election in Batang Ai is already an indicator. What’s more even DAP is saying that they are keeping out of Batang Ai but they must have an eye on the seat too.

Is this happening to BN? No,no,no Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) by concensus in the BN family is given the right to claim the seat. In the opposition front in todays tabloids headlined,”We’ll contest Batang Ai:SNAP committee” William Sirai Atom a central executive committtee member did not mince his words and this is politically very damaging to say the least ,” WE ARE READY FOR A THREE-CORNER FIGHT.SNAP WILL TRY TO WIN THE SEAT ON OUR OWN.”

In Malaysiakini report Kuching PKR division chief Dominique Ng said that PKR and Snap will have to agree on a single candidate as it was important to engage the BN in a straight fight. So in todays tabloids SNAPs statement must have thrown a spanner into the seemingly fragile political coalition of the opposition front. Is this formula still relevant..?

IMAGINE if  PBB has an interests and was to say this to PRS? What will happenThis would obviously not happen as the CM Taib has a firm grip on the state and the leaders know when and where not to meddle or dirty their fingers. The former CM Tun Abdul Rahman Ya’kub statement below  just about sums up the WHY..? WHY..? Oooh AI. BN Sarawak will still be governement after the 2011 State elections.

He said,”Only local leaders understand the situation in Sarawak because our scenario is different from that of the peninsula. The opposition does not understand this.”

Do we need to elaborate further? The harsh terrain and vasts landscape of Sarawak is another factor which will ensure the BN stays on as government. We have already covered the PAKATAN BLOGGERS issue and also the HELICOPTERS. Also the HUGE WAR CHESTS  that the BN has is another determining factor.

However, of course all is not losts. The opposition will have to turn to the PEOPLES MINDSET to vote for them. But what chances are there when they can’t even field a United Front candidate?

The advertisement ‘It’s your Choice” It’s Ali cafe” should be practise by the opposition if they even have the slightest thought of wrestling the State of Sarawak from BN.

We say as always,” This is the reality of Sarawak politics and the tsunami of 308 is just a one- off Peninsula happening. Here in Sarawak the opposition is still not UNITED.

Extracted from Malaysiakini correspondent,” The official reason in the eventuality is expected to be “to save Sarawak from the Opposition,” and privately, to “preserve Muslim hegemony of Sarawak as the Dayaks gets restive”.

UMNO TO SARAWAK OR ELSE BE IN OPPOSITION… YOU DO LOOK WORRIED…..

“A Big Deal..Gerakan,PPP or PRS..??”

The Privilege source sms reads,”5 SPDP YBs to join PRS..Comment..??” audie61 got on the phone with the crew we interviewed and asks around and these are some of the comments from SPDP members and others who wished to stay anonymous:-

  • True Kah?Real Surprise!
  • No Comments,Bring into Ur blogs
  • This is it for Mawan.Thats it!
  • Politics is all about the Impossible About Time too
  •  Within 48 hours from 22nd Feb 5 ybs to join PRS as a merger exercise gets underway
  • Cannot be Peter Nansian already said in my blog
  •  Leave it to the leaders to chart for us
  • There are so many other BN parties to choose and going national is an option The decisions will have a major impact on Sarawak politics.
  • Rumours and Pure speculations. No Basis for them to join PRS
  • Adits and Ajangs case lingers on and they need to thread carefully
  • Lets just see the credibility of this article.Mere speculations.

Todays Borneo posts has also Najib saying that PPP will not have any impact on State BN equation. He went on to say that PPP that the Sarawak based component parties will be the major dominant force. However he said that the Sarawak parties have any grouses they could bring it to the Barisan National Supreme council.

When we were browsing through Lim Kit Siangs blog in which it was posted Gerakan has lost Penang for good an interview with Lim Keng Yeik with the Edge Financial Daily and this is what we picked up and feel that it is significant ,”Gerakan is a multiracial party and the conscience of BN.Will (Tan Sri Abdul) Taib Mahmud stay? He has good control but will it split when he’s not there anymore? That will depend on who provides the leadership for the Ibans. Are they a satisfied lot? I don’t know.’

What makes the 5 legislators know what the BIG DEAL is because they have to gauge it carefully or else in the next elections their place will be taken up by some new faces .

  • Najib did say the Sarawak coalition parties remain dominant. But can the factor surrounding Raymond Tan of SAPP joining Gerakan Sabah sway their thoughts?
  • Or could this words by Lim Keng Yaik,”politics is very interesting and challenging in Malaysia. My thoughts and feelings could make a difference. I intended to make a difference.
  • Or could this words by James Masing have an impact,'”What I know is that they do have some problems within their own party but I don’t know how serious it is,” he said
  • PRS will be wary of the new additions as they will be going for their TDC in May says an Emeritus Professor.

IT IS INDEED A BIG DEAL AND ALL AVENUES NEEDS TO BE EXPLOITED AS THERE IS NO SECOND CHANCE IN POLITICS…

“PKR Housekeeping..?”

It’s a fact says a PKR member.Read my lips….,’Before 308 not many maybe a few lah..!! only would give PKR or the opposition candidates a  chance to be even near the corridors of the DUN or Parliament Building. Today there are so many YBs and MPs in the opposition camps that disagreements/dissatisfaction are bound to happen. Some are even now thinking so highly of themselves that they even can go against the person who give them a chance in the first place.{ cutting the hand that feeds them

You see what is happening in PKR now is similar to what has happened in PBB which saw many holding on or swept away by the currents/traps on offer. Today PBB is under a very tight leash and PKR will experience all this as a lot of the new found members were former Barisan Man/women.

It’s like the song by singer and songwriter Carol Connors and late Sudirman Arshad’Malaysia’s Singing Ambassador’ with the his powerful voice behind,” To know Malaysia is to love Malaysia“. How many of PKR members can sing to the song,’Satu Perjuangan…??” Can you….hmmm

Simple if you know what we mean by ” TO KNOW MALAYSIA IS TO LOVE MALAYSIA” Party members all have their ups and downs with the party they represent and be it BN or Pakatan there are always infighting stuggles, jealousies, dislikes and backstabbing to be recognised by the top leadership. One has to love his own party and know the partys struggles and vision before he can seriously consider himself/herself a true blooded party member. If its just for the quick gains just forget it and be a Businessman or better a CON MAN.

The voters will sooner and not later smell the foul smell of certain YBS/MPS who are not up to their marks. Maybe some of them forget the hallmarks of an EFFECTIVE PEOPLES REPRESENTATIVE..PKR housekeeping..no,no,no its the countrys housekeeping…

  • Being the Best
  • Faith in God
  • Sense of Mission
  • Emotional Maturity
  • Proactive Stance
  • High Integrity
  • Balance in Life
  • Willingness to learn
  • Humility with self -esteem
  • Compassion for Others

We should look beyond the resignations of  PKR Badrul Hisham Selangor YB or the defections of PKR/DAP legislators in Perak and the resignations of other top leaders in Sabah. It just clearly shows that everyone has a shelf life and if they do not use the PLATFORMS accorded to them its their own failings.

BN during the early years also have their archilles heels and they also went through a political engineering process. Pakatan will be no different but whether the people who voted for them are willing to give them another chance in the next GE13 is yet to be seen.

That will be another article to write but for now there are too many political upheavals not only in PKR but also in MCA,MIC which will indirectly affect the countrys economy. The people who are supposed to be running the country and making decisions are all caught up in too much politiking as if the economy of Malaysia is so healthy that they are not needed.

Many are captains of industries and professionals in their own right but they have too little time for even harnessing the economy through troubled waters. Their motto on life reads{ Politics and Territorial Gains first the rests of the country can wait.}

The PKR member quoted a phrase to us and said this,’ The struggle of any nation in its successive generations is a structure that rises one stone upon another.” So whats wrong with PKR housekeeping as we need to weed out the thorns that are still pricking us after 1 and half years from a successful outing in GE12. Do you agree…???

“PKR East Malaysia…In total Disarray.”

Updated and Breaking News 5.08pm :- Zaid is going on leave ONLY as he has completed his first tasks in PKR as the prime mover in getting the parties on a Common Footing. He will not leave PKR if thats what everyone is speculating..Seems someone else Azmin is getting more wrath especially with his not SO SECRET dealings with Sng according to a reliable source.

Updated and Breaking News from Malaysiakini at 3.53pm :-PKR leader and former minister Zaid Ibrahim today announced that he will be going on a six-month leave, strengthening rumours that all is not well in the opposition party

A grassroot PKR member told audie 61 that ,” In East Malaysia at the moment there are too much infighting within the party and this is bad news. Only the man himself meaning Anwar can save PKR in East Malaysia from engulfing into flames. There was a lot of hope and believe when Anwar was the PKR Liason Chief in Sabah and Sarawak but as soon as he relinquished his posts to Azmin and Mustaffa respectively the CEMENTED CRACKS appeared again.”

audie61 was informed that we have been covering too many BN articles(personalities in BN) and we are going on a lopsided trail.  Just going throught the internet blogs we can see for ourselves that all is not too well in PKR and there is a cause for concern.

  1.  Malaysiakini report -Sabah Chief throws tantrum
  2.  The People’s Parliament-New Sabah PKR Chief Ahoy
  3. The Malaysianinsider– Discord In PKR over Zaid.
  4. Zorro-Unmasked-Rumble a LA West side story

Has Anwar losts the plot in the two states in East Malaysia..? There have been too many NEGATIVE  reports and we reposts it here for all to evaluate, discuss, digress and to recheck the direction of the party and its struggles. Have you joined the party to be embroilled in all this petty squabbling?

From Sabah in Malaysikini report,” Yes, we are unhappy that Azmin seems to be in the pocket of Sng Chee Hwa of Sarawak,” confirmed both divisional chiefs. He turns up at Anwar’s house every time with Sng in tow. We don’t know what kind of hold Azmin has over Anwar and that disturbs us. Something is just not right here.”

PKR headquarters,”Several PKR leaders here believe that by going to Sabah and Sarawak, Zaid would be sending the wrong signal and not showing solidarity with party headquarters.

Mustaffa on Sarawak Liason Chief,”It is up to Anwar and PKR president Wan Azizah Wan Ismail to appoint someone who they think can lead the party in Sarawak. I know that they have found somebody. It is a matter of time when they will announce the name of the person.”

On Gabriel Adit PKR YB in Sarawak,”is already going around the longhouses bragging that he will soon be talking to Anwar as an equal” once his new party is set up.

A veteran politician told audie61 that it is indeed a timely reminder to all those who aspire to reach the pinnacle of their chosen profession in politicst o follow the age old statement,”Good Man Will Never make it in Politics and One has to be RUTHLESS PLUS BEING SELFISH  to achieve your dream.” History does not lie too he said.

What is happening in PKR or for that matter in Pakatan is indeed not healthy but its a political process of reengineering itself. UMNO went through that process and with Najib in the helm now there seems to be some sort of Light at the end of the Tunnel as UMNO was basking and flickering through past glories without any direction.

Najib seems to be able to get a grib of things with his hands on attitude and Anwar will need also to keep a tight leash or the breakup of PKR In East Malaysia will be sooner rather than later. In simpler terms the “INFIGHTING AND NONSENSICAL ATTITUDES have to STOP or we might just ready a TOMBSTONE with “BORN …..and DIED………”

PKR in East Malaysia needs to be CRUEL TO BE KINDin order to realise Anwars slogan,” A New Dawn”  or else you and I would be saying to our grandchildren in 15 years time ,” IF ONLY……………..”

Pakatan Rakyat Malaysia..???

Look what Parma also brought into Sarawak. The swirling winds and heavy rains that followed has also brought about the existence of a new political identity which will be launched in Sibu on October 15th if all the smses that has been circling in and around the country are anything to go by.

Parti Pakatan Rakyat Malaysia is deliberatedly hijacked to ensure that the Pakatan Opposition group does not capitalise and which it will benefit tremendously as the Propaganda machinery has already done its job.

A PKR spokesman said,’Pandai Najib as they have also split the Indians and now they are making inroads to further split the dayaks. This is also to ensure that BN will remain in power after the GE13. Najib is a follower of history and in 1969 his dad Tun Razak successfully managed to get some opposition partners to join the Alliance Coalition. Isn’t History revisited here…??

Whats more the person helming the party is none other than State Assemblyman Gabriel Adit who is also a cousin of Leo Moggie who was the President of the defunct PartyBangsa Dayak Sarawak. BN was in the opposition in 1987 but later they joined BN. So the similarities are there for all to see but will it work this time round. Politics does give us many permutations.

A political analysts said to audie61 ,”CONFUSION IS THE NAME OF THE GAME” This is part of the BN strategy and the coalition will leave no stones unturned. Believe me,BN has the upper hand when it come to registering parties quickly but whether they will be accepted by the people is immaterial as long as BN remains in power come GE13.

The article by our fellow blogger sarawak update can be read here.

There will be interesting developments in the next few days and who knows maybe even Larry Sng and T Murugiah (Both partyless BUT both BN friendly YBs ) might just be joining in the bandwagon. Could they be others …??????

I HEAR RUNNING FOOTSTEPS…..hik hik hik

Corrupted,Tainted..At What Price says Mahathir..??

I am always for the  BETTER GOOD of the country and as such my political conscience is crystal clear from the evils of being corrupted. One would surely say to me..You havent been given the chance to sit in the chair and how can we judge you..?? Surely, its about upbringing, social responsibilities  and above all OUR OWN PRINCIPLES.

Those who are picked to be YBs and MPs in todays political climate  says a political veteran observer needs to be ..( A WHITE NEW PAPER.) Pakatan had no choice in the last GE12 as not many GAVE THEM A GHOST OF A CHANCE and the current crop of YBs and MPs rode the peoples gravy train and gate crashed and BN suffered the losts of 5 states and 2/3rds majority in Parliament.

Ever since then the people in Malaysia has woken up to the very true word of PEOPLES REPRESENTATIVE. You reap what you sow and this article by Malaysiakini in which Mahathir has sounded the alarm bells ringing should be heeded.

U Tell them Mahathir as this country has enough CAPABLE,  RESPONSIBLE, NEW ,YOUNG SECOND ECHELON LEADERS…………..

Umno should pick a candidate who is free of money politics for the Bagan Pinang state by-election, former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad said today.

MCPX

He believed that the BN could win the by-election on Oct 11 with a big majority because the seat was Umno’s stronghold.

mahathir and rais yatim pc 190309 04Having corruption-free candidates would be a very important factor in Bagan Pinang as well as in the next general election, he told reporters after attending Menteri Besar Mohamad Hasan’s Aidilfitri open house in Rantau here.

“For me, it’s not just this place. The people throughout Malaysia want to know whether we are serious about eradicating money politics, corruption and so forth,” he said.

While the former premier did not name any names, he was clearly referring to former Umno vice-president Isa Samad, whose supporters are campaigning for him to be picked as the candidate.

Isa, who was menteri besar of Negeri Sembilan from 1982 to 2004, rose rapidly within Umno ranks until he was accused of vote-buying.

NONEThat landed him in a six-year suspension by the Umno disciplinary committee but the punishment was shortened to three years.

Isa, who heads the Umno Teluk Kemang division, is believed to be seeking to make a political comeback by contesting the Bagan Pinang by-election.

While the Umno Teluk Kemang division, which include the Bagan Pinang state constitutency, has proposed Isa as the candidate for the by-election, the final decision will however be left to the top party leadership.

Dr M: Think of party, not individuals

azlanMahathir said that if Umno fielded an candidate who was not clean, it might win in Bagan Pinang but would lose in other constituencies.

He also feared that the party would lose badly in the 13th general election if the trend continued.

“I’m not thinking about individuals. I know everyone and I don’t care about anyone but I’m thinking only of the party,” he said.

The Bagan Pinang seat fell vacant following the death of incumbent Azman Mohamad Noor of the BN on Sept 4. Nomination is on Oct 3.

Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin will be announcing the Umno candidate for Bagan Pinang on Sept 29 during BN’s state level Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration in Port Dickson.
