We have often heard from “Opposition leaders” do not want to mention names or else ….(sued and also “PROVE IT” common terms used} get BN’s shirt/handouts etc but vote the Opposition. Isn’t this another way of saying you are betraying and do not have principles.
We find this statement from Baru Bian which we extract from a news portal as absurd and of no relevance whatsoever. This is justs like trying to score some points in the final run up to secure victory. PKR Baru wants to have a field day battering BN PBB candidate Henry Sum.
The statement.”State PKR chairman Baru Bian said BN’s branding of the opposition supporters as ‘Judas’ and waging politics of fear among voters was ‘extremely disturbing’.
Bian was responding to remarks made by Lawas MP Henry Sum Agong, who demanded that his constituents in Lun Bawang and neighbouring Lawas, state their stand on Barisan Nasional.
Sum Agong had reportedly told the Lun Bawang community “not to act as Judas” of BN which had contributed to their wellbeing.
His words drew ire from deeply religious Bian who said: “Branding opposition supporters, as ‘Judas’ is extremely insulting and most unbecoming of an incumbent politician.
For those WHO ARE Christians …it is not wrong to say and we have often heard this words uttered “
- 1.DO NOT BE LIKE TRAITOR JUDAS..
- 2. You are in the same mould as Judas Iscariot.
- 3.Please lah! You WORSE THAN Judas.
- 4. The lists goes on and on
Those of you who are not Christians here is a brief attachment of who Judas is and you will be able to make up your own opinions of the ALLEGATIONS.
Judas is mentioned in the synoptic gospels, the Gospel of John and at the beginning of Acts of the Apostles. According to the account in the Gospel of John, Judas carried the disciples’ money bag. He betrayed Jesus for a bribe of “thirty pieces of silver“ by identifying him with a kiss — “the kiss of Judas” — to arresting soldiers of the High Priest Caiaphas, who then turned Jesus over to Pontius Pilate‘s soldiers .One of Judas’s main weaknesses seemed to be money (John 12:4–6).
Most Christians still consider Judas a traitor. Indeed the term Judas has entered many languages as a synonym for betrayer.
We have often tried to avoid religion in politics but we hope it does not get too personal and overblown to suit the interests of the candidates in question. This is no laughing matter and to use a term Judas as a betrayer is quite perfectly alright and if that is BLASPHEMY we would have to confess ours sins every minute every second of the day as politicians.
