“Fire brewing in Pakatan Sarawak”

Someone, somewhere, somehow must have sold the idea to SNAP that former glory is achievable says a former Emeritus Professor. It was clearly seen that PRS in the Lubok Antu by election used “Sarawak for Sarawakians” which is a strong local propaganda in itself. PKR being a national based party was more or less totality brought to its knees eventhough they had a former 5 term MP as their local candidate.

The propaganda brings in itself a strong attachment and sentimentality that this land Sarawak must only be ruled and taken care by Sarawakians. SNAP through its trials and tribulations is seeking to address a local issue that their dayak leaders in BN component parties are too submissive and have losts their direction in preservation of their land and the ways of governance. This is not a new issue for the dayaks as subconsciously they know that their leaders are promised the highest of the heavens when they are in the BN coalition.

SNAP was in the BN coalition  and they know how the BN operates. Pakatan is not too dissimilar as the coalition too is trying to wrestle power and rule the State in their own way. SNAP knows the local terrain very well unlike their Pakatan partners in PKR,DAP and PAS especially in the dayak majority areas.

They are not only beginning to ruffle a few feathers here and there but ACTUALLY INJECTED A NEW VENOM in the BN circles but also their PKR partner. What they are actually saying,”the battleground is big enough to include SNAP in the picture.”

The 71 seats available must be justifiable allocated and divided fairly amongst the coalition partners or else they will be dissatisfaction in the rank and file. BN has also faced this baptism of fire but through the years the jigsaw has been fine tuned to accomodate each BN component party.

There are different opinions and different school of thoughts and we will not know how the people will welcome back a second coming of SNAP. Fans of Liverpool football club welcome with open arms and fresh enthusiasm for the second coming of King Kenny “Kenny Dalgish an irreplaceble icon and Liverpool favourite son”

Football too has its strategies and SNAP as a political party will need to rechart, reinvent and reenergise its machinery to be acceptable in the Pakatan coalition with its new members some of them were parked in PKR to remain relevant to the Sarawak political climate.

The Fire will need to be doused before it engulfs further and negotiations within the ranks needs to be stepped up. The earlier the EGOS are thrown out the better it is for the coalition. BN will obviously love to see a breakup in the Pakatan Sarawak coalition as it will see opposition parties at war with each other.

SNAP is in our midst and BN and Pakatan like everyone else in the political playing fields that we must never ever write our enemies off.

SNAP glory was yester-years. It is as good as dead if it chooses to fight the struggle on its own believing that Sarawakians are still willing to rely behind it. How many times and years, SNAP grass root and most faithful supporters need to stay clinging to its broken boat led by Captains without direction themselves. Today, they say this and tomorrow they say other…..do we continue to believe in such leadership

SNAP has yet to recover from its damage and defeat before becoming over confident with a little turn around of situation. BN is smart to laying the trap & net below your feet, and you easily fall into it like you have done before. If you believe that Sarawakian young blood with relly behind you and your struggle, you are in a big shit trouble to head on to yet another destruction

BN is most happy because you not only head youselves to another planet beyond the Earth, you also become a stupid tool to destroy the effort of your PR company and hopes of Sarawakian. You will be the greatest evil-doer well remembered for stupidity and simple-minded selfishness

With or without SNAP onboard, PR will carry on its struggle to bring justice to surface…….Do not ever over-valuating yourselves, Dear SNAP. Do run behind SUPP toward COB

I agree with you salah satu. Hidup PKR Hidup PKR. SNAP must know where they stand. Just jump into the Sarawak River lah SNAP . We need to get rid of the corrupt Taib and his cronies.

  3. sarawakiana says:

Get rid of Taib Mahmud first then we talk about who wants to rule Sarawak. Just tell them they are BIG and SNAP wants to be the boss. Same like SAPP in Sabah. see what happens got badly defeated in the last parliamentary. That is also SAPP still strong unlike SNAP no assemblyman or MP

  4. NewHope says:

After the coming 10th $arawak state election, SUPP, SPDP, PRS & SNAP will be annihilated. PBB will be in ICU.

If stupid SNAP is in Pakatan, then SPDP, PRS & PBB will survive to form the government.

Reason ? The Dayak voters will be told, “Look. If you vote SNAP-Pakatan, you are indirectly voting BN because SNAP-The-Frog will jump over to BN. Vote SPDP or PRS or PBB. The $$ for the SNAP frog will be given to you instead.”

Pakatan. Get rid of the ungrateful frog ! Keep the frog and you will regret ! Dayak despite ungrateful & selfish people.

  5. Dap supporter says:

Listen to what CM Lim Guan Eng has to say. Whats the point in listening and giving the chance to Taib to win again . We need to be united to get rid of Taib and his useless cronies and all those who support him. Time for sarawakians to wake up and fight the BN.

  6. Anong says:

Berubah and this is the call to all Sarawak voters. No need to vote for Taib Mahmud.let him enjoy his reirement with his young wife.

  7. Vicious Circle says:

Look at the people who join back to SNAP. Are they worth a second look ..?? Who is Paul Kadang? He is none other than a Dato Sng Chee Hua planted mercenary. He joins PKR and now back in SNAP bringing in Anthony Liman. What a shameless lot this people.

  8. Salah Satu says:

If SNAP has been intact and united, those boat-jumpers and trouble makers would not have caused SNAP boat to rock and roll; and there would not have any PBDS, nor PRS, nor SPDP. SNAP was the cradle of Sarawak political instability (due to the greedy old man’s hard head & hard neck politic) which gave chance to PBB & Taib to tear apart and finally send SNAP into crying & sleeping

In my home town kampong, SNAP ” was” the strongest and had many supporting members. However, all this glory is no more. Today when we talked about SNAP jumping boat again, many grumbled and spitted. Still many would hope that this is mere trick by BN to rock and split PR as BN-UMNO, BN-PBB, BN-PRS & SPDP are running scared (that is the reason why state poll is delayed).

With or without SNAP, the struggle to erase BN-Sarawak has to proceed on its correct and united direction. Have the parliamentary and state polls running separately or jointly, the effort to salvage the state of Sarawak have to kept strong and unshakable in every heart that wishes better years ahead for beloved Sarawak.

SNAP, be a true SNAP and not SNAKE. As more political snakes crawl into your office, you will be Party SNAKE……..and you know how we Iban describe some one as Snake-the-Ular

Malaysian politics have evolved and gaining maturity albeit that there are still some politicians and tycoons out there trying their luck differently. Questions we want to ask Zaid Ibrahim include his personal and political platform’ stance in the two party system that he once passionately promoted while he was still in PKR.

Can Zaid’s party, KITA work with Pakatan and why was it that he was focusing more in Kelantan. Is Kita trying to gain a foothold in kelantan? Lately, over in Sabah and Sarawak, there was this group which called itself Borneo United Front or UBF in which one of the PR4 partners, SNAP, has aligned itself with. It seems that KITA and Zaid Ibrahim has its Borneonisation plan as well if the lastest outburst from senior members of SNAP against PKR leadership was anything to indicate a hidden hands behind the new development.

SNAP should learn its lesson well and not to itself to be made a political mule by Zaid Ibrahim and or Jeffrey Kitingan. I am convinced that Zaid and Jeffrey have their own political game plans which might also include PPP or even Parti Cinta.

    • KK Lau says:

Zaid Ibrahim is said to be financed by Datuk Soh Chee Wen. Do you still remember who is Datuk Soh?

Soh Chee Wen had pleaded guilty to two alternative charges for abetting Tiah Thee Kian in submitting false information to the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange (KLSE) (now known as Bursa Malaysia).

The false reporting relates to reporting of the transaction involving 7,750,000 Omega Holdings Berhad (OHB) shares and 7,752,000 Omega Holdings Berhad A share (OHB – A share). Prosecution adduced facts which showed that some time between September and October 1997 Tiah and Soh had agreed to transact the said shares at RM6.45. However, TA Securities Sdn Bhd had reported these transactions to be at RM11.60 and RM9.55 per share respectively, involving only 4,310,000 OHB shares and 5,236,000 OHB-A shares.

Soh was charged on 14 May 2002 with two charges for using a scheme to defraud Omega Securities Sdn Bhd (OSSB) under section 87A(a) of the Securities Industry Act 1983 (SIA) through off-market transactions in respect of the sale of Uniphoenix Corporation Berhad shares.

On 5 September 2005, three alternative charges of abetting Tiah in the submission of false information to the KLSE under section 122B(a) of the SIA read together with section 122C(c) of the SIA was preferred against Soh in the alternative to the 1st principal charge of securities fraud.

Soh also admitted to the second principal charge of securities fraud under section 87A SIA in relation to the execution of contango transactions in the margin accounts of OSSB. This was taken into consideration by the Sessions Court in sentencing.

The Sessions Court sentenced Soh to the maximum fine of RM3 million for each of the charges of submitting false information to the KLSE, in default, 30 months imprisonment for each charge.

Sohs counsel applied for the fine to be paid in three instalments within six months. The Court however rejected the application and ordered Soh to pay RM2 million of the fine by today with the balance RM4 million to be paid within the next two months. The bail sum of RM2 million and Sohs passport were also ordered to be retained by the Court until the fine is fully settled.

With this conviction, Soh will be automatically disqualified from acting as a director of a company under section 130 of the Companies Act 1965 for a period of five years.
