MCA “Liow,Wee.Chiew-Greener Pastures..???”

Updated: 3.50pm-

MCA Women’s wing chief Chew Mei Fun and Youth wing chief Wee Ka Siong made tearful appeals for delegates to turn up at the Nov 28 extraordinary general meeting to press for fresh party polls.

During a press conference shortly after being dropped from the party’s party presidential council, the duo, in between tears, said that a strong showing at the EGM was vital to restore democracy in the party.

NONEThe dramatic press conference began with vice-president Liow Tiong Lai stating that the group’s “heart bled” following the axing of nine individuals from the council.

“MCA is a family at war and is presently engaged in the politics of slash and burn… it has disowned the Youth and Women’s wing chiefs. This is a serious matter and it has broken the camel’s back,” said Liow.

He said party president Ong Tee Keat had replaced the dropped presidential council members with his own men.

He claimed that Ong had axed detractors in order to have “absolute power”.

He then urged party delegates to “rise up” and attend the EGM in full force to pass the resolutions.

Liow, looking stern but composed, did not cry during the press conference.

Earlier today the party’s central committee voted to object the EGM called by Liow’s faction.

Natasha of audie61 received an sms from a former colleague in Malaysiakini that-“MCA CC rejects EGM2” .Where does this road lead to for Liow and rebel group. Just then she remembered an SPDP SC member who said this,”PRS are trying to get rid of Chinese members while SPDP is welcoming them.”

Also SPDP plans to go National and what an opportunity for the MCA rebels who will obviously sooner rather than later be sent to a very “FREEZING COLD ROOM” Is there any room for them in SPDP..?? This will erase another  headache from Najib and the cabinet.

The full report we reposts for all:-

The MCA central committee headed by party president Ong Tee Keat today rejected the call made by a minority group in the CC for an extraordinary general meeting on Nov 28.

The central committee said the proposed EGM and its resolutions calling for a fresh party polls were defective and against the party constitution.

The decision to reject the EGM was made after the matter was put to a vote in which 23 voted against the EGM, 10 supported it and two abstained.

The EGM was mooted by a faction backing vice-president Liow Tiong Lai. They are opposed to the greater unity plan undertaken by Ong and his rival-turned-ally Dr Chui Soi Lek.

The CC meeting also decided to revamp the powerful presidential council, resulting in Liow loyalists Youth chief Wee Ka Siong and Women’s wing chief Chew Mei Fun being dropped.

They were replaced by Ong and Chua’s backers.

In an immediate reaction, Liow said that he was unhappy with the party’s decision to remove his supporters from the presidential council.

So SPDP be ready to open up your doors for these MCA Ministers plus Deputy Ministers and you will be a major player in the country too. It is something really worth considering as the political climate is so fluid at the moment.

Before becoming irrelevant leave MCA for PKR or DAP. Once you losts the plot in party politics its time to just get off to another platform. Che losts to Tony Pua and you are a backdoor Deputy minister. Nothing to lose more to gain by joining Pakatan.Whats with those tears!!!

Seems Liow,Wee and Chew’s wings are really clipped and they are thrown to the cages for the tigers and lions to eat them up. Time for them to consider other options. Ong is too clever in this manouvering and he has Chua as his right hand now to sop the younger sets of leaders to move forward. Its also Chuas agenda to push his son forward.

Liow Tiong Lai is a man who JUAL his bosses at the wink of an eye.
    That is his character,
Now he is the Minister of Health,
Is there not a possibilty that he will sell the whole health service quietly ?????
    Just like the PKFZ scandal.
The whole project was assigned to Ali Baba and the forty thieves. All the cries and crocodile tears won’t bring the money back again.
The taxpayer loses 12.5 billion ringgit.
    If anybody talks too much,
He will be locked up under Official Secrets Act.
And ISA too..The Crime? It is having a BIG mouth.

Our motherland Malaysia is a rich country. We have plenty of natural resources. We have a highly educated and hard working work force. But a large portion of our population remains dirt poor.I have served as a government health worker for more than 30 years.I have traveled to all the interiors of Sarawak. The natives there are dirt poor. They do not have enough food, medicine, clothes over their back and shoes on their feet. Many of them die young. The Penans,Kayans,Kenyahs and majority of Orang Ulus have nothing in their pockets except a sad tearful look in their eyes.
On the other hand Taib Mahmud rapped the country of all its money. He built mega structures that is only good for his own pockets. All the Barisan Nastional ADUNS are Taib Mahmuds’s lap dogs. The sit in the Dewan Negeri with tongues hanging out of their mouths. They are waiting for money to be thrown to them by their Grand Master the White Hair. Then they would quickly pick it up and put it in their pockets. When ever a bill is tabled all of them will waggy, waggy their tails in unison. They will approved everything Taib Mahmud says or do or implements.
I know most of the ADUNS before they were elected and many of them are poor. But within one term as ADUNs they will be multi millionarie with many beautiful houses. That is the shortest way to richness.

In a bank robbery the robbers do not leave their names and NRIC.They do not sign an payment vouchers. Thus we may not know their identities.
When the government is robbed of billions of dollars their should be names,NRIC and signed paper trails. All the government departments are glove in hand with the thieves.Otherwise they won’t release billions of ringgit without reason.Ah.White Hair has given his blessings to these thieves..

Billions siphoned – Sarawak govt steps in
    By STEPHEN THEN

MIRI: The Sarawak Cabinet has ordered an internal investigation into claims made by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) that up to 60% of government allocations — running into billions of ringgit — meant for vital infrastructure projects between 2002 and 2008 have been misappropriated.

MACC investigations showed that only 40% of the money set aside by the Government were spent on the projects. The remaining 60% were said to have been “leaked elsewhere.”

Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri Dr George Chan Hong Nam said yesterday the state government’s internal audit department would carry out a detailed probe into the allegations.

“The state government is investigating. We also want the MACC to give us a full and detailed briefing on these claims. We (state government) view these claims very seriously and if such abuse of government funds had taken place, we must find out who was responsible and take appropriate action against them.

“This is government money that comes from taxpayers. If indeed funds from the Government meant for projects for the rakyat and the poor had been misappropriated, the state government wants action taken,” he said yesterday.

He was commenting on a statement by MACC deputy commissioner Datuk Zakaria Jaffar that the MACC had uncovered cases in Sarawak where up to 60% of government allocations had been “diverted’’ away from the projects.

Zakaria had said this in Kuching during an anti-corruption seminar a few days ago. He claimed that the misappropriation of funds took place between 2002 and last year, adding that MACC investigations showed that only 40% of the money allocated by the Government were spent on the projects.

He, however, did not disclose what the projects were or which part of Sarawak the projects were being carried out.

He noted that the projects involved infrastructure constructions for roads, housing schemes and mosques, among other things.

Zakaria said MACC investigations found that many of these projects were poorly-implemented while some had not even begun despite the fact that the Government had already channelled the money for them.

“The MACC found that there were fake claims made by officials and contractors involved in these projects,’’ Zakaria said.

Dr Chan, who is State Industrial Development Minister and State Minister for Agriculture Modernisation, said yesterday that the state government had always been very strict with how allocations from the Federal Government are used.

He said the Sarawak Cabinet had always been transparent with taxpayers’ money.

“I am happy that the MACC had exposed the issue. If they are doing their job properly, we are thankful because this is for the good of the rakyat,’’ he said.

State Housing Minister Datuk Amar Abang Johari Openg wants the MACC to give him more details about the housing projects said to be affected by the misappropriation of government funds.
