Hippity-Hoppity-Hop

The New brand name in the shop windows in Malaysia is “Hop-Hop”. Malaysiakini has this report http://malaysiakini.com/news/97822  which it headlined,”BN’poaching for more defectors. Why? Its balanced now at 28-3-28. Isn’t 3 of the BN Friendly independants not enough? 2 PKR conveniently joined to try to wriggle out from their court case on the 10th. They have been charged and they will continue to stand trial. What if the impossible happens? 1 from DAP is unhappy over “personal” matters. Just that..no way says a staunch DAP member. Must be more than that and could it be the COLOUR OF MONEY..he added? Could she do a turnaround to save the hurt hurled at her. Even the vegetable sellers are not selling vegetables to her parents. She could just migrate and force a by-elections. Possible and this might be the wave of expectations from DAP.

This SKY Malaysiakini analysis which audie61 view with interests is,”The unfolding drama in Perak is proof once again of the uglier side of public life in Malaysia: many politicians on both sides of the power equation seek public office out of personal greed for power and wealth. Party hopping can also arise from the inability of political parties to contain and ameliorate internal dissent. The full report can be read here http://malaysiakini.com/news/97803.

So,can anyone be free from all the agents that is flooding the market with offers? This from the Malaysiakini report,” According to Pakatan sources, BN is in urgent need of non-Malay state representatives to cross over in order to avoid an overwhelmingly mono-ethnic BN lineup.”

Doesn’t this give BN more grounds and more reasons to entice defectors?

1994, PBS were undoned with all the defectors and the mushrooming of new Political parties. Don’t tell me these 3 independants and maybe one or more to come will just be given the choice of a NEW PARTY?  A number of political boys asks me where my source comes from.Just intuition hahaha. Nothing is impossible in politics right..Hippity-Hoppity-Hop.. Have you bought gone shopping..Hop-Hop??

The  time for negotiation has arrived” –F.W.de Klerk

SKY “Thats True in Sarawak”

For the past few weeks I have been in conversations with many ex classmates who said,” No new faces” Same Opposition personalities” Will there be changes..hmmm?

I read with admiration on SKY’s analytical perception in the Malaysiakini report on the “Tainted silver in Perak” http://malaysiakini.com/news/97803   and only one thing which has got my pulse and heartbeat ……..racing.

This extract from the SKY’s Malaysiakini report,” The opposition choice of candidates is indeed limited. This is headache facing the PKR in Sarawak and Sabah right now. ” Where does this leave us? Even a personal aide to a PKR YB in Sarawak agrees that in the Malay constituencies there are very few politically qualified candidates. They may have the credentials BUT they are political NOVICES.

This quote will indeed help the candidates to be chosen,”A minister’s choosing his ruler is like a woman following her husband.A man serving someone who is not truly his ruler and therby losing his moral character,is like woman who has been married and gets married for a second time.”

It carries on and this might have implications not only in Perak but in other states in Malaysia,”when the rulers of the Ming dynasty losts its virtuous ways, the land of China was submerged, the barbarians took advantage of our weakness to enter, and upsurged our precious throne.” Superb or is it  Chilling to say the least and Pakatan or BN we know that history does repeat itself BUT Malaysian history is still in its infancy.

There are a number of volatile and uneasy seats in Sarawak and it will be repeated come the State elections in 2011. Good examples are Padungan,Bukit Begunan,Tasik Biru,Bengoh,Kakus to name a few in Sarawak. Perak will be used as a yardstick to gauge the sentiments of the people and whether the AFTER SHOCKS/ERUPTIONS/TSUNAMI will reach the shores of Borneo in Sarawak.

Sarawak voters/people wil have their say in the ballot boxes. In another statement in SKYs Malaysiakini analysis he said,”Many politicians on both sides of the power equation seek public office out of personal greed for power and wealth. Party hopping can also arise from the inability of political parties to contain and ameliorate internal dissent.”  SKY,”That’s very True in Sarawak..” You just hit the FINAL NAIL in the Coffin.”

Will Nizar be Evicted from his Fortress Too?

In yesterday’s Malaysiakini report Nizar was forced out of the state secretariat building after 45 minutes as per this report.http://www.malaysiakini.com/news/97701.

Last night Nizar in his official residence, many are saying “FOR NOW” Nizar said he will not move out of his official residence in Ipoh as he was the legitimate menteri besar and no eviction notice has been served.

In our earlier posting we said it was a “War of Words” while Malaysiakini headlines it as per Nizar’s words” DON”T BE PONDAN” UMNO Told. http://www.malaysiakini.com/news/97790  The question now is,” How will UMNO take it? UMNO will not stop just like that will they?

Nizar says that they are civilised people which he said the night before,””This is the only house I have for my wife and my (nine) children. Until they evict me, I won’t budge. But they won’t do that. They are civilised people, I hope,”  He pointed out that previous menteri besar Tajol Rosli took more than a month to move out after Pakatan took control of the state last March. He said that Tajol was never given orders to vacate the premises.

It remains to be seen and in any political situation usually only the unexpected will appear. The Perak political situation is highly volatile and fluid and as a number of  bloggers said”In this day and age word travels faster than the speed of light.Nothing will be swept under the carpet like the GOOD OLD DAYS. Those days too you do not have so many opposition legislators be in ADUNS or MPS.” The numbers game is catching up.”

The fortress which Nizar is occupying for now will be another battlefield between Pakatan and BN. Will it be  Nizar’s call? As the embattled leader his destiny and resolve will be tested to the fullest.Eviction or not its we will see how it unfolds ………..

War of Words Now

When all avenues seems to close for Nizar,he has come out to show his true values and colours to mount challenges towards UMNO. This Malaysiakini report http://www.malaysiakini.com/news/97790 in which he said,””If Umno is jantan (a man) then battle it out with Pakatan Rakyat through elections,” was his challenge.

Tapi Umno duyus dan pondan sepenuh pondanya,” was his conclusion during a press conference at the menteri besar’s official residence this evening.

The full extracted Malaysiakini version,” Mohammad Nizar also vowed to file a suit to seek a declaration that Dr Zambry Abd Kadir is not the legitimate menteri besar.

Zambry, who is the Pangkor assemblyperson, was sworn in as the 11th Perak menteri besar by Sultan Azlan Shah this afternoon.

Detractors have claimed that his appointment violated provisions in the Perak constitution as Mohammad Nizar has not resigned while the state assembly did not pass a vote of no-confidence
against him.

The suit against Zambry is being prepared by former Bar Council president Raja Aziz Addruse and would most likely be filled next Tuesday.

Mohammad Nizar however refuted suggestions that the suit was an indirect swipe at the sultan.

“I have absolutely no intentions of suing his royal highness,” he said, claiming that the suit and his refusal to resign were aimed at ‘safeguarding’ the palace.

The Pakatan Rakyat leader said that he was trying his best to avoid the Sultan from being perceived as politically biased.

“What I am doing is trying to put the highest regard and respect to the royal institution,” he said.

Regardless, his suit is bound to add to the political crisis in the state. His suit is one of four suits related to this crisis.

Nizar’s ‘last fortress’

Meanwhile, Mohammad Nizar said he will not move out of his official residence in Ipoh as he was the legitimate menteri besar and no eviction notice has been served.

“This is the only house I have for my wife and my (nine) children. Until they evict me, I won’t budge. But they won’t do that. They are civilised people, I hope,” he said.

He pointed out that previous menteri besar Tajol Rosli took more than a month to move out after Pakatan took control of the state last March.

He said that Tajol was never given orders to vacate the premises.

The official residence was now the most important state property controlled by Mohammad Nizar and his supporters, after the police took over the state secretariat building.

The ‘last fortress’ is the centre of Pakatan’s activities and a string of meetings are being held daily.

On the clash between Pakatan supporters and the police in Kuala Kangsar this afternoon, Mohammad Nizar said that Pakatan had no role in it.

“It is due to the wave of discontent of the people of Perak,” he said.
