PRS Divisional Leaders meet at Green Heights Headquarters.

19 out of 28 Parti Rakyat Sarawak Divisional leaders turned up at the Party Headquarters as a follow up of their earlier meeting on 8th April 2008. Two main points came out from this mornings 2 hours meeting in that there are still to receive namely 1. A written letter from ROS who is the “Legal President of PRS”. 2. In respect of a confirmation from the Registrar of Societies on 7th September 2006 of YB Datuk Sri James Masings Jemut Masings violation of Article VIII(15) (b) of the constitution of PRS.

The Divisional leaders also stressed their support for YB Larry Sng Wei Shien as the legitimate President unless ROS rules otherwise. The 8th of April 2008 letter contains amongst which the ROS to produce in writing a decision that is whether it is Dr.James or Larry as president of PRS. As of now the Green Heights headquarters have yet to receive a reply of any sort from the Registrar of Societies.

There was also a strong worded statement in,” that the decision one way or another from ROS will stop the confusion at the grassroots level and the perception of the public.” Futhermore it  will allow the members to move on and think of their own political futures.

The Divisional Chairman Councillor Matthew Amarican from Kedup in Serian was quick to point out to the press fraternity present that most grassroot leaders still want to be in BN but if their voices are not heard their next course of action will be drastic especially with the political scenario so volatile at the moment.

The Only Lady Chairman, Councillor Josephine Mawat from Pakan Division when interviewed was very gracious and wished that all leaders could reconcile for the greater good of PRS as a whole and Barisan National. “We should all come back and work together and hopes that Dato Sri.Dr.James Masing would forgive those who went against him.” If Dr.James can do that he will be held highly as a “good” leader and the objective of the Party when it was first established will be fulfilled. Let us try harder to get the Party back as one,she added.

quote : A written letter from ROS IMPLYING the person the legal Presidency of PRS” ……biar betul sikit bro, sudah la parti upside down, ini English pulak lintang pukang.

Grassroot leaders make the Party strong. James as the lady Chairman put it should use the words
“Come back as One and forgive those who went agiainst him’
Think its always the womens intuition. I have followed the PRS saga and i honestly think there will be another twist before it stabilises.
    Good Luck.

    here’s my suggestion, bro:

Nineteen of the total 28 legitimate divisional chairmen of Parti Rakyat Sarawak met in Kuching today to discuss on the future of the party.
They came to a consensus that ROS should state clearly and in writing, on the legitimate president of the party.
They also called on the ROS to decide on whether YB Datuk Sri Dr James Masing had violated Article VIII (15) (b) of the party’s constitution.
Until then, the 19 divisions will still recognise YB Larry Sng as the legitimate president of PRS as his election was in accordance to the requirements of the party’s constitution.
The 19 chairmen also said that they have sent a letter to ROS seeking clarifications on various matters, but until now, the Registrar had yet to reply.
As such, they appealed to ROS to clarify as soon as possible to avoid confusion on the ground. There must be a clear-cut decision as ambiquities would worsen the situation on the ground.
Kedup divisional chairman Mathew Merican warned that frustrated members would make a “drastic decision’ if they are kept in the limbo for too long and this is particularly undesirable now for the BN in view of the volative political scenario.
Wanita chief, Josephine Mawat, who is also Pakan division chairman, said the factions should reconcile for the good of the party and the BN.
“We should all come back and work together and we hope that Dato Sri.Dr.James Masing would forgive those who went against him.” If Dr.James is magnamous enough, then he will be regarded as a good leader and the objectives of the Party when it was first established could be fulfilled. Let us try harder to get the Party back as one.”

Its not over yet, bro. I have a few questions, caused by a contradiction in the statement.
On one hand, the 19 divisions recognised Larry Sng as the legitimate president (until the ROS make a clear cut decision, as what the statement stated). But on the other hand, Josephine Mawat (I can safely assume she is speaking on behalf of the 19 divisions) is seeking forgiveness from Dr Masing.
Now, here are my questions :
    1. Why the need to seek forgiveness if you strongly believe that you have not done anything wrong?
    2. Under what capacity is Josephine seeking forgiveness : from a person to person or from an Iban to a fellow Iban? It cannot be from a wanita chief to party president as the 19 divisions in the first place have yet to recognise James Masing as the party chief.
    2. Assuming it is just a friendly gesture to seek forgiveness ( in the gawai spirit, maybe) and it has nothing to do with party politics, then state it clearly.
That’s all my bro. Sorry for being too inquisitive, guess i can be a good reporter. hehehe

  5. Jaafar says:

Did not the ROS say that James Masing is the President of PRS? Don’t this recalcitrant Chairmen ever learn.Sack them lah!

  6. Jane ak.Norea says:

Have enough problems in UMNO. What… again? PRS problems have been going on too long maybe longer than the party i love before PBDS.

    Hello Anak Dayak,
A bit of insight to your questions:
    1. Why the need to seek forgiveness if you strongly believe that you have not done anything wrong?
Ans: men… always think they need to compete in everything. It’s not a question of who is wrong here. To forgive is to forget the past. Jangan ungkit lagi…
    2. Under what capacity is Josephine seeking forgiveness : from a person to person or from an Iban to a fellow Iban? It cannot be from a wanita chief to party president as the 19 divisions in the first place have yet to recognise James Masing as the party chief.
Ans : From a person who wants the fight to end once and for all. Sometimes it takes a woman to do a man’s job…
    2. Assuming it is just a friendly gesture to seek forgiveness ( in the gawai spirit, maybe) and it has nothing to do with party politics, then state it clearly.
Ans: It’s a forgiving gesture…. plain as that.
That’s all my bro. Sorry for being too inquisitive, guess i can be a good reporter. hehehe
Ans: Agreed 100%. You see things out of the box, but God is the one who makes something beautiful out of you.
