Updated: 3.50pm-

MCA Women’s wing chief Chew Mei Fun and Youth wing chief Wee Ka Siong made tearful appeals for delegates to turn up at the Nov 28 extraordinary general meeting to press for fresh party polls.

During a press conference shortly after being dropped from the party’s party presidential council, the duo, in between tears, said that a strong showing at the EGM was vital to restore democracy in the party.

NONEThe dramatic press conference began with vice-president Liow Tiong Lai stating that the group’s “heart bled” following the axing of nine individuals from the council.

“MCA is a family at war and is presently engaged in the politics of slash and burn… it has disowned the Youth and Women’s wing chiefs. This is a serious matter and it has broken the camel’s back,” said Liow.

He said party president Ong Tee Keat had replaced the dropped presidential council members with his own men.

He claimed that Ong had axed detractors in order to have “absolute power”.

He then urged party delegates to “rise up” and attend the EGM in full force to pass the resolutions.

Liow, looking stern but composed, did not cry during the press conference.

Earlier today the party’s central committee voted to object the EGM called by Liow’s faction.

Natasha of audie61 received an sms from a former colleague in Malaysiakini that-”MCA CC rejects EGM2“ .Where does this road lead to for Liow and rebel group. Just then she remembered an SPDP SC member who said this,”PRS are trying to get rid of Chinese members while SPDP is welcoming them.”

Also SPDP plans to go National and what an opportunity for the MCA rebels who will obviously sooner rather than later be sent to a very “FREEZING COLD ROOM” Is there any room for them in SPDP..?? This will erase another  headache from Najib and the cabinet.

The full report we reposts for all:-

The MCA central committee headed by party president Ong Tee Keat today rejected the call made by a minority group in the CC for an extraordinary general meeting on Nov 28.

The central committee said the proposed EGM and its resolutions calling for a fresh party polls were defective and against the party constitution.

The decision to reject the EGM was made after the matter was put to a vote in which 23 voted against the EGM, 10 supported it and two abstained.

The EGM was mooted by a faction backing vice-president Liow Tiong Lai. They are opposed to the greater unity plan undertaken by Ong and his rival-turned-ally Dr Chui Soi Lek.

The CC meeting also decided to revamp the powerful presidential council, resulting in Liow loyalists Youth chief Wee Ka Siong and Women’s wing chief Chew Mei Fun being dropped.

They were replaced by Ong and Chua’s backers.

In an immediate reaction, Liow said that he was unhappy with the party’s decision to remove his supporters from the presidential council.

So SPDP be ready to open up your doors for these MCA Ministers plus Deputy Ministers and you will be a major player in the country too. It is something really worth considering as the political climate is so fluid at the moment.

PKR Sarawak Targets N22

November 11, 2009

N22 SEBUYAU (7549) Julaihi Narawi (BN-PBB) incumbent said in 2006 he sees a need for his constituency to have more infrastucture developments in the form of basic amenities like electricity supply and phone lines. There is also an urgent need to make the people of Sebuyau realise the importance of education in raising their living standards.

audie61 has had the benefit of meeting up with the YB of this constituency on several occassions and he has come across as a likeable, reserved and approachable  and works his talk. He has a degree in Literature from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia but come this State election he will once again cross swords with his common enemy.

In the last couple of elections he has withstood the challenge of Mohamad Akek of Keadilan and defeated his opponent with ease. It seems that in the last couple of weeks PKR has stepped up with their activites and has made certain inroads with former PBDS candidate stepping up a notch and up the ante. Former PBDS President and a supporter of PKR Daniel Tajem has even been spent a night in the kampong in providing a much needed boost for the opposition front.

Hornbill unleashed has come out with an article ” Whom shall we trusts.?” Audie61 swung into action and cornered one of those who stood on a PBDS ticket in 1991 against Julaihi. He said that the article is timely but PKR needs to really put things in order if they are serious in turning the bastion of BN over and create even a wave and let alone  a tsunami of some sort.

He further reiterated that there should be in place all the small committees as what PBDS had in its quests in the infamous Ming Court Affair. Don’t forget that PBDS managed to wrestle 15 seats? A PKR stategists in Sarawak is putting in place the persons and the seats which the party hopes to make inroads and give BN more than a HEADACHE.

Anwar should trusts the PKR boys in Sarawak not to let him down this time round. Of course there were a lot of detractors and traitors especially from what we have learnt from the recent Lubok Antu by elections . PKR knows that Sarawak is a huge state and the economics of it all is that a substantial  amount of money is needed to cover the costs of PKR candidates standing against BN.

PKR however needs to really do its ground work and whoever is chosen to face the might of the BN in each constituency needs to  forego personal interests and ego to ensure the party win its allocated seat.

If and when the negative approach of the candidates who are not chosen and close ranks BN will still win big says the formr defeated candidate of N22. If the hierarchy of PKR says that Akek is the candidate I will stand behind him and ensure that Julaihi will not have it easy. If on the otherhand the PKR leadership sees that I am most suited to challenge I hope that Mohamad Akek will stand behind me. Afterall we are now together in the same team to wrestle this seat and unless we join forces Pakatans dream in Sarawak is just a mere HALLUCINATION AND A DISTANT DREAM.

The infighting according to a founder member of PKR needs to stop. He said that eventhough Anwar is giving all his strenght and direction in wrestling the Federal Government and has more or less entrusted it to Baru Bian as Sarawak liason chief Sarawak will only fall  if the Fedral government caves in in the next 13th GE. The battle line  is already drawn and Sarawak PKR needs to buck up or miss the boat when and if tere is a NEW DAWN3as what Anwar preaches.

The dayaks if united under PKR will be a major force and if divided into the various parties like PBB,SUPP,PRS and SPDP will remain forever be disunited. So will Anwar trusts the dayaks to come good he asked…???

The multi racial platform of PKR will be tested to its fullest in the next State elections and PKR leadership needs to look not only at N22 but also the rests of the 70 seats in hand and how to go into battle together with DAP,PAS and SNAP in the next State election. The two party system if approved would be an injection booster as the PLATFORM of a two party system would be in place. Its then up to the people to vote for their choice and no matter who the party fills the bond is an added strenght in itself.

N22 the incumbent YB Julaihi will know that he has his hands full and he will need all his experience to pull through as this battle will be his strongest yet as the opposition candidates are already willing to assist each other and win Sebuyau an add another feather for Anwars leadership. Najib and CM Taib will be watching closely the activities surrounding N22 and they will ensure that the incumbent has got his battle gear and machinery fully oiled.

Updated:- Privilege source said 13 supreme council members including deputy president Peter Nyarok were absent at yesterday’s meet.Do you honestly think that all is well in SPDP..he begs todiffer hmmm A crack in the seams and whee will the New Assistant Minister Nansian be supporting ??

Updated:- 5.15 Pm New Assistant Ministers- PBB- Wahab Aziz,Dr.Rundi and Talib Zulphilip SPDP-Peter Nansian PRS-Mong Dagang and john Sikie. ( Larry Sng retained despite all the speculations of him being dropped)

Larry sng

I would like to see Sng (picture) retained because we do not have enough young Chinese leaders. Things like that can be sorted out before the election,” Taib said when referring to the position of the Sarawak cabinet’s youngest member as a result of the PRS internal leadership crisis

Chief Minister Taib is truely a master tactician and a strategist when it comes to administering the State of Sarawak. There was much hype in the reshuffle of Ministers/Assistant Ministers,SPDP tussling of positins for the AGM on December 28th and 29th and the PRS Dinner where words from disgruntled members said that CM was not bothered and will not attend.

Alas, doesn’t this remind us of the Hug of the Uncle and the nephew in Hilton? Today he will announce the names of his new colleagues in the state Administration at 4 pm at wisma Bapa Malaysia and believe me there are already a bee line of reporters waiting at the site of the announcement. Speculations are a plenty and CM has already capitalise on this and enhance further his credibility of staying in power for another term.

SPDP is just a phone call away and now he needs a strong coalition to ensure the State would remain a strong BN bastion. Mawan summed it up nicely with these words,‘Any member challenging any determined post in the line up without the consent of the President is tantamount to working against the interests of the party, and I shall vigorously endeavour to stop such move, and not to allow it to succeed to undermine the party.” This was used by CM to his innsider especially at the height of the PRS crisis. The weak has fallen down the wayside and his troops in PRS are now those who will bow directly to him and his ways of administering the State.

An informed source and a close ally of Larry Sng has informed various persons that CM will not attend PRS dinner. Unknown to him the ripples that he created backfired and there was a very Big splash which resulted in CM’s allies working overtime. Let’s put it very simply,”Who are the deputy Federal ministers in PRS-Salang and Entulu and the Prime ministers son and an UMNO elder is also making an appearance. CM has always said to us,”Swallow your pride and you will see that the road is clearer. ”

Its (HOK BIN-Hockien) Show face (English) and the signals are even better now that we have heard that close allies of Affendi Jeman has lost faith in him with UMNO protem committee and they are leaving him. PBB will be even more stable with all these news and there are no alternatives to the State BN as very soon more we dare say will “leap back to the state BN after looking for greener pastures”

SUPP he has put his trusts on his in law George Chan and they will do well not to lose further seats in the coming State elections. SUPP need a boost of some sort and in time it will be given a new  ”NUCLEAR ENERGY” to fight against the determined and  solid Sarawak DAP. The Dudong issue will be used to wash away the detractors in the SUPP circles and very soon all will be found out.

His State administration in place and his political parties are solid behind him the CM will signal it as a very nice inspiration and signal to call for a State Election. Those who aspire to be included in his new team and did not make it, needs to wait till 2012.Thats not too long to wait is it? CM know what his peoples pride is and he will use it to challenge those who undermine him.

Any trojan horses in the opposition..hmmm? seems SKY has his sights on blogging on Lazy Sunday. For some its a holy and blessed Sunday while others will celebrate and thank God for their new found positions in the State cabinet….

Liow “Accept or Resign”

November 4, 2009

Updated from Malaysiakini- Home Minister Hishammuddin Tun Hussein said the decision by ROS was based on three main factors – the country laws, the Societies Act 1996 and the MCA constitution.

“Should the matter be taken to court, we, at the ministry, and ROS will explain and defend the decision,” he told a news conference at the Parliament lobby here today.
liow tiong lai

Liow Tiong Lai and his renegades in MCA have tasted the bitter sweet of party politics and the learning process of it all is a rocky and winding road to the top. Politics never takes prisoners and if he was to fall by the wayside and does not accept the decisions he will be affixing his very own signature to his own MCA DEATH WARRANT.

The ROS has spoken and no one should and can dispute it as it clearly states in the Societies Act 1966(Act 335 ) & regulations.-18c Decision of political party to be final and conclusive.

{ The decision of a political party or any person authorised by it or by its constitution or rules or regulations made thereunder on the interpretation of its constitution,rules or regualtions or any matter relating to the affairs of the party shall be final and conclusive and such decision shall not be challenged,appealed against,reviewed,quashed or called in questionb in any court on any ground,and no court shall have jurisdiction to entertain or determine any suit,application,question or proceeding on any ground regarding the validity of the decision.}

Larry sng

That is the very reason which also saw to the end of problems in Party Rakyat Sarawak in which there was the factional infighting for two years between James Masing and Larry Sng. The ROS declared James the legitimate President and Larry’s man just left him and the party and joined PKR enbloc. Liow the options and the door has just slammed shut on you with the PM agreeing to the decision.

So Liow now are you ready to bow down and accept the truth or leave MCA. This is the statement copied from Malaysiakini,’ Speaking at a press conference in Parliament, the Barisan Nasional chieftain described the ROS’ stunning decision as “purely legal”..

According to Najib, this is how the ROS interpreted the MCA constitution.

“The constitution is based on certain provisions which requires two-thirds majority to remove anyone in the party whether appointed or elected.

“Now based on that, that is why they (ROS) said Chua is still the deputy and this is the same provision that keeps Ong Tee Keat as president,” he said.

Najib added that the ROS has to be consistent as it cannot make two different decisions when the case is the same.”You cannot have one principle on the president, and another on the deputy. MCA has decided that part of the constitution, the ROS only interpreted the constitution,” he said

Liow said that he reserves the right he reserves the right to file an appeal or take the matter to court.

My friend Mr.Health Minister please wise up and take your time and you will not regret it. The journey has just started for you but if you just insists to follow that path of CONFRONTATIONAL Politics you will always be used as a Hand Grenade and others will benefit from your irrational ways.

We would also recommend you to read this from an internet blog,” Sarawak’s renewed political hopes. Many have tried and have failed to challenge the Presidents of respective parties. Will you be able to create this historical breakthrough…???

MCA%20Logo

Joey of audie61 received an sms that says ,” Seems the end is nigh for MCA tussle of leadership.PM has thrashed it out with the major two players and plainly its“NO MORE DIRTY LINENS”

Its quite similar to an sms which we received yesterday which states,”I know I am not affected by forthcoming reshuffle as boss has bisik to me and how relieve I am with the news

It must be a relieve to Ong in particular as he is under grave attack not only from Chua’s faction but now also his ”supposedly soldiers” are also attacking him in the open. The case  involving Health Minister Liow’s wife  must be the final straw that is affecting the BN leadership. The  full report is available from an internet portal.

As with the case of MCA the BN Sarawak State leadership is trying to end all the speculations of the impending reshuffle and some really SHARP DAGGERS and BETRAYALS     are already in place.

DSCN0791

( Two Assistant Ministers together…??”)

It seems that our privelege source has informed us through this smsLATEST IF SNOWDON IS IN D LINE UP,TEDEWIN AND GANG WILL RESIGN.”

The  CM being the CEO of the State has already signalled his intentions but alas  it seems that there are so many trojan horses/whisperers who are barking up the wrong tree.

The state is calm and the devolopment plans are in place but some who are not getting a bite of the cherry in terms of being in the right place at the right time are creating a ruckus/dissatisfaction of some sort.

Even a former PRS Appointed Supreme Council member told audie61,”Don’t you believe that BN will fall in the next State elections..? My smile was enough to send his B/P shooting up the scales and he must have got the signal. Are they signs like the X files….hmmmm?

So for goodness sake..Wake up to the political realities in that if you dont work hard and get your machinery going you will end up missing the boat. you cant wait for the people to vote you in just like that but you need to walk that extra mile.

BN Sarawak is complacent no doubt and they are dissenting voices from the people that all is not well BUT the people of Sarawak knows what is bests for them and they will VOTE with a clear intention on the candidate that will represent their constituency. Say what you like BN or ” Pakatan ” if in place in Sarawak will have done their homework before unleashing the candidate out in the open to be their CHOSEN ONE

If and when MCA problems are already solved the PM will want to have a fresh mandate for Sarawak and CM Taib will know that the  ground favours BN Sarawak  and he will say as usual use this phrase ,” I have got the Inspiration. Its TIME…”

For now though BN cannot afford anymore dirty linens in public and they need to clean up their act or else the people/voters will turn around and BETRAY THEM.

Its up to the opposition to capitalise on the issues but they need to seriously look at their CANDIDATES FOR THE RESPECTIVE CONSTITUENCIES. This not only means the profiles but the realistic grassroot support and ground work that that has been done.

There is no need for us to tell you how its done but this might help from a former YB who has seen it all in his time,”Its a privelege to work with the bests and the bests will never let you down and will ensure you that the desired result is achieved and you will not have any sleepless night. Thank GOD I have this people

“50/50 Status Quo.??”

October 20, 2009

Lets keep it simple our informed source said to Natasha of audie 61. The reshuffle of the State cabinet especially with the assistant Ministers might be put to a hold BUT which is a strong possibility he might just add on to the 2 which he has revealed to the press earlier.

It goes without saying that the lobblying factor has already created unnecessary tension within the State BN component parties. Our source also has mentioned that the good office of Najib has advised that the FEEL GOOD FACTOR should also not be compromised but be maintained at all costs. Sources close to Najib is also pushing the state to have an earlier than expected State elections as the State opposition parties are yet to “gelled” as a unit. The oppostion might just be “CAUGHT WITH THEIR PANTS DOWN.”

The setting up of (ARBS) Parti Agenda Rakyat Bumiputera Sarawak by UMNO Sarawak  protem chairman is also a wake up call to the coalition partners that they need to be on guard against the seriousness of the opposition assault on the state. The protem Chairman also mentioned to audie61 that ,” Najib has said privately to certain quarters that he does not intend to be the shortest Prime Minister of Malaysia and he has taken a serious overview of the threat present.

Affendi even says that ,’Its the silencers that are killing the BN government and we know the rating is now 50/50. We are also helping to keep the state BN in its position with our eyes and ears on ground zero and they should not think we are for one moment trying to create tension within the BN family. Obviously,Affendi said many will say he “ONLY KACAU DAUN but BN needs all the assistance and not more enemies.

Already he said PKR YB Dominique has mentioned that “ARBS and PBB are the “same cut from the same cloth” It can only confuse and not contribute to the betterment of the political situation in Sarawak. So…at least he said with a laughter in his voice ,” that means PKR is worried as they do not need another group of BN members to contain with.”

So the lobbyists of the Assistant Ministers in the cabinet might just have aggravated the fragile situation in the state and the CM according to the innsiders are taking a 50/50 chance if he does tilt the balance of power. Its his prerogative for the appointments and the CM will not want to go into the next state elections with something he might just live to regret.

A Status quo will see him not using his JOKER and why does he need to change when the mechanism is well oiled and very much functional says his closest aide. The guessing game will keep everyone on edge to face the common enemy and prevent unnecessary sparks and political tensions. Its the CM’s call anyhow…..

SPDP”A Lemon Twists”

October 14, 2009

A reliable source telephoned audie61 with these news,”Latest Bro. SPDP will see a fight for the Presidency.” Obviously the first question would be ,’Is it Nyarok against Mawan.? No,no,no its going to be the present SG Assistant Minister YB Slyvester Entri challenging Mawan. Also Nyarok will be maintained in the team with Entri as the No.2. This is breaking news as 6 SPDP Nothern divisions met in Miri (AIDA WAS THE PERSON WHO ORGANISED THE DINNER) and THEY HAVE given undivided support to the SG in his fight against the President.

( Latest updated:- Mawan has left to KL to attend the UMNO conference and also to inform Tiong of the latest development according to our source. Meanwhile an SC member told  audie61 on the phone there are a 1001 things which is happening in SPDP which we are not happy with. Seems the battles are beginning and might just  escalate.…)

Immediatedly audie61 swung into action to get feedbacks from the Political Secretaries and Supreme Council members and most of them would not be dragged into this fight and still remains divided in their opinions. A former Pol.Sec however told audie61 that ,”Wait till Friday and it will be more concrete.”

Could the PKFZ scandal be used as a leverage to turn the tables. It seems that  unknown hands are meddling in the affairs of SPDP. Whats more in the local dailies Mawan sounded very firm when he said,”SPDP will discipline any of its members who did or said things that could destabilise the party in the run up to its Triennial Delegates Assembly in December.

It is a known fact that Mawan is very close, infact inseparable from MP Tiong King Sing who is in the centre of the storm and this has greatly affected the reputation of SPDP as Tiong is the Youth Chief/Treasurer and also Chief Financier of SPDP. Mawan also did not mince his words when he said ,”he will come down hard on those challenging the status quo of top leaders come the TGA,and labeeled them as potential troublemakers tot he party.” So who is the trouble maker from within and from outside. There is a LEMON TWISTS EFFECT to all this happening in SPDP.

What is a Lemon twists? Lemon twists are most often used to garnish dry vodka martinis or accompanying espresso, but they can be used with many other drinks. They are used for both flavor and decoration. Some people attempt to cut a twist directly from the lemon. Nyarok was supposed to be challenged by Tiong and now it seems Nyarok has found a new ally in Entri.

The espresso effect has found new friends and whats more with DPM Muhyddin coming out with this statement ,’ He stressed that it is not only Umno which must transform, but also BN component parties.”We must be prepared to carry out an in-depth transformation to reach new heights in understanding.”

The writing is clearly on the wall for those who fail to see the changes and cracks which are appearing in the BN family. From March 8th 2008 BN has been under attack for being too complacent and at times too arrogant for the people to accept  and thus the Voters turned their backs on the BN administration.

SPDP needs to put their house in order as Sarawak State elections is around the corner and there are already indications that new faces are fast appearing to be the new BN candidates in order to ensure BN stays in power in Sarawak. Though the opposition parties are under wraps with too much infighting BN Sarawak will be under no illusion that all is vey well. Though the CM says 60 seats are assured the BN administration will be on their toes as when its TOO CALM an EXTRA-ORDINARY TSUNAMI might just happen.

The PKFZ scandal has in fact put SPDP in the limelight and with these turn of events LEMON TWISTSand HIDDEN HANDS being involved it seems we are in for some interesting political changes in Sarawak in the coming months.

Parti Demokratik Progresif ...

Our insider source says to Natasha of audie61,”SPDP is rattled as the upcoming TDC might see some changes.Whats more with Muhyddin saying that component parties needs to reform. This seems to be the PERFECT TIMING for SPDP to initiate changes within. The party is already tainted with their involvement of Party Treasurer crossing swords with MCA President Ong Tee Kiat.”

The source went further,” Will the legislators (YBs and MPs) just watch from the sidelines? Wont they just disassociate themselves from controversies? Even the Singapore  Miss World contestant was forced to withdraw from the pagaent to avoid shaming the whole organisation.

The heat of the PKFZ scandal will be detrimental for the party itself and it remains to be seen whether the “..HIDDEN HANDS/BN WARLORDS..” will put their thumbs down and squeeze the RIPE PIMPLE( SPDP might be clogged or infected by Bad publicity) out to save the SMOOTH and CLEAN FACE of SPDP. BN SARAWAK needs to be as far away from a PKFZ scandal as possible as it will OBVIOUSLYand SURELY be used as an ISSUE.

The swirl on the ground especially within the BN family in Sarawak is that with PKR gaining momentum it is and will be a SORE POINT and if allowed to affect the coalition it spells trouble. The timing is absolutely perfect and Mawan a close confidante of the Tresurer needs to find a MIDDLE GROUND fast.  The sources told Natasha that the State BN Chief Taib Mahamud is also watching closely at the developements of the PKFZ as the MP is from Sarawak. The President of SPDP Mawan has to make a CLEAR STAND as he too might be dragged into the whirlpool and also might just be SUCKED IN DEEPLY.

SUPP might be hogging the limelight with the Dudong issue but SPDP will not be able to escape the media as the political warfare between Tiong and Ong does not take a back seat. ... Sri William Mawan anak Ikom

The Overheating within the BN/SPDP needs to be addressed and there is even words from the ground that Mawan might just be EDGED OUT Xby the LIGHT  BLUE COLOURS OF PKR  in the next state elections eventhough he is assured of at least 90% of the postal votes.

No one can be a HERO now and a BN ticket previously is a SURE 99% WIN FOR  A SEAT IN THE COUNCIL NEGERI IN SARAWAK.” It has oveheated and now the chances are but at 70% in the rural areas but in the urban areas its at 50/50.

Just a reminder to BN State assemblyman we wrote on December 22nd 2008 ,” Now the internet will play a bigger role in the decimation of information to the rural areas. It seems that now PKR knows that the information technology will be used to inform the RURAL areas of the CHANGES happening in the world and ensure that the dayaks are no more ignorant of the FACTS.  The TEAM has now looked into this strategy as all PKR information will be downloaded and PHOTOSTATED and DISTRIBUTED into the rural areas. Now with the influx of PKR dayak members into the fold these Valuable information will be an added PLUS. The PKR senior member sounds upbeat after talking to Natasha of audie61. “ALL IS AT A TOUCH OF THE BUTTON AND THE KEYPAD NOW”

We say as always,”The political  battles  will  be stepped up for N41 PAKAN (9034) William Mawan ak.Ikom (BN-SPDP). The opposition strategists are closely monitoring Mawan and he must  know how to clear himself from this umbilical cord and not subject himself to the SWIRLING WHIRLPOOL

Chua Soi Lek”Su Hock Ee”

September 21, 2009

e1443cbfc5ee4d339a2c59108d6e48b2

It was like any other Hari Raya Visitations to an old school friends house. The usual greetings and pleasantries were exchanged plus also the delight to see so many familier faces. Whats more the food laid out was…. Oooh SOoo appetising. There were many voices of different opinions especially as school mates meet they will be like old times in school eventhough that was nearly 20 years ago “all trying to be No.1 and be heard” Familiar..??

Of course each will try to say their own piece,”The economy, the political scenario (BN vs Pakatan) the educational system but the one that LIGHTED THE FIRE was the MCA No.2 deputy President Chua Soi Leck. One of my school mate hit the right chord when he said,”This Chua really Su Hock Ee ( Lose to Him translated from Hockien). He also seems so thick skinned and would not just disappear silently like most politicians of yesteryears would have. Would anyone of us fight like he does..?”

The MCA saga has gone overdrive and most of us gave the THUMBS UP to Chua for his perserverance and never say die attitude. One of them even say like Josephians never know when they are defeated. We will fight to the last drop of our blood. Surprisingly, most of us were very unhappy too with Ong Tee Keat for not being steadfast and be more accomodative towards a person who has already paid for his sins in being shamed. Even God forgive the sinners they say and why would Tee Keat not make use of the No.2 man to his advantage.

Has he forgotten about the rule book. Never question the No.1 but if the No.1 does not show respect and bulldozzes through without even telling the No.2 that is a sign of WEAKNESS. Even Najib consults Muhyddin on certain things before he moves his agenda. Im sure Anwar also does that said an old school mate. What makes Chua Soi Leck so prominent its because Ong gave him the PLATFORM and the OPPORTUNITY to hit back. Chua was already shamed with the video sex scandal but one of us added another phrase  in Hockien,” BIN POI KOW-meaning Thick skinned.

You all might be WONDERING WHY MCA…?? Why are we not touching on local politics or even UMNO,PKR ,DAP or PAS? Surely the PKFZ scandal and Tiong King Sings issue is worth a conversation.  Moreover there were about 20 of us and in a Malay friends house. The answer was in our year we were taught the right meaning of DIPLOMACY (Ong needs to learn from us hik hik hik ) and since some of us are from different political divides there was a NEED to follow the LINE OF NEUTRALITY. Chua Soi Lecks purported EGM and the possibility of the ouster of the MCA President is the TALK OF THE TOWN. Who is going to be the AYAM MASAK MERAH in this fight..??

We could go on and on on how this fight will pen out but like the good old days some one just “Detonated  a very good quiet atomic gas”It was signal and the wives in the other room were too happy that it was cut short. One of them even cheekily said ,” Got any steps learnt from each other and what about  the Booster or Viagra used by Chua Soi Leck. Just then one of them showed us this article and how ironic it was as we were talking about our friend Chua.

Posted and copied for all to make their own judgement.

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 21 — Just when the MCA seemed all set to hold its extraordinary general meeting (EGM), in the wake of deputy president Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek’s dismissal, the party’s central committee (CC) has flexed its muscles to overturn the decision and suspend him for four years instead.

This begs the question of whether the power of the CC was overlooked, or even underestimated, in the fractious past weeks which saw more than a fair share of barbs traded between rival supporters of party president Datuk Seri Ong Tee Keat and Dr Chua.

“They overlooked the CC as an independent body and pre-empted us by going straight for an EGM which should be called only as a last resort, and not the first resort. Members should not have jumped the gun,” CC member Datuk Ti Lian Ker, of Pahang, told Bernama.

He said disgruntled members should have waited first to see how the CC would act before pushing for the EGM, now fixed for Oct 10, after the presidential council sacked Dr Chua for tarnishing the party’s image over a sex video scandal.

Ti said the party constitution empowered the CC to take disciplinary action  against any elected party official including to suspend or to expel with the support of two-thirds of the CC members present at the meeting.

Under Article 128 of the constitution, the CC has the final say on disciplinary matters and that cannot be challenged, even in a court of law.

Ti said he had insisted that Dr Chua’s issue be discussed at the marathon seven-hour CC meeting last Saturday, to show that the party president could not act arbitarily, or that the CC was just a rubber stamp.

Currently, there are 43 CC members, with 25 elected, seven appointed by the president while the rest are party office-bearers.

Ti denied that the CC’s move was tantamount to a lack of confidence in the presidential council, saying that at the same meeting the CC had overturned other disciplinary decisions as well.

Party sources said Dr Chua’s issue was brought up by Senator Datuk Wong Siong Hwee from Kelantan and all were given the opportunity to express their views, including the most senior CC member, Datuk Wong Mook Leong.

Wong re-told his experience when he was sacked during the party crisis in the 1980s, saying that a suspension would have a similar effect as an expulsion, the source said.

“Some CC members sympathised with Dr Chua. They felt there was no need to push an already broken man and believed he should be given a chance to salvage a bit of his shattered honour,” it added.

Ong, who chaired the meeting, had to “eat humble pie” in the face of the check and balance on his leadership by the CC, the source noted.

Enraged supporters of Dr Chua, however, hit back that it was not appropriate and an act of disrespect to the central delegates for the CC to discuss the matter as the rival factions had already agreed to the EGM and agenda.

Even Dr Chua spoke up: “Are they trying to say the CC is more supreme than the EGM?”

Party veteran Datuk Yap Pian Hon maintained the CC had the mandate because all decisions, including disciplinary matters, must go through both the presidential council and CC, the two decision-making organs in the party.

“If we stop at the presidential council level, it can be argued later that the decision is invalid because the due process was not complete,” he said.

Dr Chua’s supporters are pointing fingers that it was Ong who first called for an EGM on Aug 31, when they had barely started their signature campaign to push for one to annul Dr Chua’s sacking.

A political observer, who declined to be named, views the CC’s decision as a “smart tactical move” by Ong’s side to neutralise the sympathy factor towards Dr Chua for the EGM.

The suspension may cause some of the 2,377 delegates to reconsider their views and swing away from Dr Chua as he would only be a party member after four years.

After all, Dr Chua had said he wanted to die an MCA member, the observer noted. — Bernama

The Port Klang Authority (PKA) today sued Kuala Dimensi Sdn Bhd (KDSB) for RM720 million, a sum which the contractor allegedly overcharged for the Port Klang Free Zone (PKFZ) project.

The suit was filed at the Shah Alam High Court this morning by PKA chairperson Lee Hwa Beng, who is the plaintiff on behalf of PKA.

lee hwa beng pkfz pc 210509 02In a statement today, Lee said PKA is seeking a declaration that interest charged on the balance purchase price of the land purchase was wrongly imposed.

He said KDSB had sold the land to PKA at RM1.088 billion at the rate of RM25 per square foot on a “special value” basis in addition to interest being charged.

“Interest ought not to have been charged separately and/or in addition to the said RM25 per square foot”, said Lee.

PKA is also seeking the court’s intervention and rectification of its schedule of payment to KDSB, as well as a refund of the interest payments made thus far.

Lee added that PKA’s decision to sue KDSB was made even before the establishment of the ’super’ task force established by the Cabinet to probe the PKFZ scandal.

Lee warns that other suits would be filed for fraudulent, wrongful or irregular claims but did not name the parties concerned.

KDSB is the turnkey developer of the PKA owned multi-billion ringgit PKFZ flop, prompting the government to engage PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) to perform an audit on the project.

Following the publication of PwC’s report in May, KDSB filed a defamation suit against PKA and the auditor for defamatory comments found in the report.

Amongst others, the PwC report claims that KDSB ‘may have’ overcharged PKA in the land purchase and overpriced the value of its works. WHO IS TO BE BLAMED..Have You Made up YOUR MIND..???
