BN Sarawak”CM Taib or Sng Bashing Time”
November 15, 2009

It seems some people just refuse to accept the facts. Are they doing it deliberately or they are using the camouflage of others to fight their intended target? Ever since the cabinet reshuffle it seems that a number of the PRS SC members are still questioning the wisdom of the Chief Minister of Sarawak Taib Mahmud.
Taib has been in office for over 28 years as the Chief Minister in Sarawak and has seen off so many challenges. He is just tinkering with the coalition partners in BN and the detractors within BN will soon face an onslaught of some sort. beware as I can vivdly remember him saying to Dominique Ng in the DUN when he put his hand with action sweeping across his head and saying,”Do you know who you are dealing with..??”
Seems the mouth pieces of James Masing are on the overdrive and pushing the blame towards SUPP who seems not to be overly bothered with the intentions being pushed down their throats by certain individuals who has implicated that Larry Sng is SUPPs problem now and no more PRS.
Some people they say have got very short memory and they seem to forget that there is a certain direct BN candidate. Did Billy Abit /James Dawos stood as a direct candidate or did they use the “ OIL PALM SYMBOL…Please Taib is the master in this game and do not for once question his wisdom.
If CM Taib can make use of James and put him under his wings and let him carry on being in the cabinet as a Minister a lot of political analysts are questioning as to WHY doesn’t James do the same to Larry. If Larry is under his wings he cant even move but will be a puppeteer to James. If Only James was a bit smarter they say or is he too slippery that he has incurred the wrath of Taib.
The CM gave him face in the PRS 5th Anniversary function as many UMNO elders and Najibs son was present. Next day what happened? A double fiste slap in PRS James face even though James had to swallow his pride and say that he has his quota back.
We were told very clearly by his hatchet man that PRS has three Assistant Ministers quota and only two were filled up with Mong Dagang and John Sikie. Snowdon Lawan who was supposedly tipped to take over one of the so called allotment was left with a bitter pill to swallow.
A privelege source mentioned to us that they lobbied too hard and their political world just collapse in their faces as CM mentoned “no first timers” Larry was a first timer in 2001 when he won for the first time in Pelagus seat. Have we forgotten that politics is all about which family is important and who has the money to bankrolled a party…?? This is the truth and the rests are only part time actor politicians. Are we being too harsh..???
According to both these articles Malaysian Mirror article”Young Larry a political headache” and ”Larry Sng’s position now a SUPP’s dilemna“ it seems that the writers need to do more indepth researching into what is in Taibs mind or who his inner circles are. Remember Taib has not forgotten how James fought a bitter war against him in 1987 and 1991? Bashing Larry is no use as it is already futile and some trojan horses in PRS are already mentioning that it is not impossible for PRS to make a quick enough turn on BN at the eieventh hour in the next elections.
Remember we mentioned a certain lawyer in our earlier articles? Have you all forgotten? Are your memories letting you down? CMs ears, eyes and spirit are already so in ingrown and no matter what PRS thinks he is one or more step ahead.
Please double check what you have and compare notes and tell me in Oxford street in London like what happened in after 1987. It will do you good if you could check this article up,” The Chief Minister has been in power for 28 long and filthy years.’ or better still this:-Mysterious………….. Ooooh Wow!!
Do they know how to shoot or what? Maybe they dont even know how to Bash people up but always hiding behind a cloak. CM could be just not telling the NGO’s or independant agencies (*Saturdays Borneo Posts)who doesn’t dare to face him openly to do like what the mouth pieces are doing. They have a divine right to play their poltics they see fit but the voters are too crystal clear to see through them now.
How many Assistant ministers (SUPP Losts a couple in the last elections)will we see this time round being thrown out of the window and lie in the abyss. CM has it all totalled up and he will continue to lead Sarawak until the almighty creator says his “WORK IS DONE” Even past Prime Ministers had difficulties in removing him off the office of CM and he is indeed a really fine diamond cut.
James needs better brains with him instead of the usual lieutenants surrounding him says a veteran Sarawak political analysts. He has too much of an ego which has seen him been too petty and still practising the already tried and tested dayak politics of yesteryears. He needs to look more indepth. Other ethnic races are already pushing towards the AXIS while PRS is still stuck in the time warp. Please WAKE UP…!!!!
What has happened to the 33% Chinese/Malay quota which CM was told that PRS will steadfastly professed to maintain as it is a multi racial party. Could CM pull another fast one with a merger of SPDP/PRS and let James hung and left to dry. James has a tendency according to his aides as too soft behind the ears and always taking unnecessary and preemptive actions to test CMs trust in him.
So is BASHING lARRY a good idea..?? CM knows who is and not with him………………….

“Opposition Parties Field day”
November 13, 2009
Updated:-
The Home Ministry is renewing The Herald’s permit for publication and says that it was not revoked and that the renewal of its permit for 2010 is being processed.
A ministry official was quoted as saying that “there was never an issue of revoking the permit for The Herald.”
He told news portal Malaysiakini that the last letter sent to The Herald in September was a notification that the application to publish in the Kadazandusun language was not approved, and that a refund of the permit fee could be made.
He said that the reason for the directive for the refund was that The Herald had paid its fees too early.
He said that the ministry will only process the permit three months before the old permit expires, as in this case it is in January 2010.
In all our family gatherings we have always avoided two very important subjects:- 1. Religion 2. Politics. Our family has very large followings of various faiths be it Islam,Christianity and Buddhism. Also there will be some who does show some sympathy and align themeselves to the oppostion no matter what/who comes into power. They just love to be on the opposite camps. In order to keep the peace these two subjects are considered,” Taboo ” but of course there are some who just chooses to strike that “MATCH”.
The elders in the family like party veterans are quick to douse the arguments and put the centre finger on their lips and say “Ssshhh” and also “Stop It.” But will all families in Malaysia be just like ours where we follow a very regimented procedure and do not engage head-on with the elders. Certainly, there are families who sees that Religion is certainly a flash point for them to push their political agenda.
The Eastern States of Sarawak and Sabah has a very big following of Christian Faith. There is already the big issues which has provided an arsenal for the opposition examples of which are the concerns of Sarawak Bumiputra,Penans,Corruption and a lists of misdeeds.
Another highly sensitive issue ..Pleeeaaasss..this touchy business of the Catholic Herald will throw in the spanner of all BN good work over 45 years in Sarawak and Sabah. The catholics are very powerful businessman and legislators in East Malaysia and with one touch of the button they might just turn the screw on BN’s safe bastion into a battleground.
Hasn’t someone or a Hidden Hand undermine Najibs 1Malaysia concept and treated it as a mere rhetoric…?????
Even MCA has this article which we will reposts and if audie61 does not/cannot send a signal to the HOME MINISTRY maybe the MCA who itself is facing a crisis can do for the religious freedom of Malaysia. This is the article,”
KUALA LUMPUR – MCA has asked the government to reconsider its decision not to renew the permit of the weekly Catholic newspaper The Herald, saying it would be seen as stifling religious freedom.
“The action by the authorities is unconstitutional and totally unacceptable. It is counter-productive against initiating trust between religious bodies and the government,” said MCA spokesman Gan Ping Sieu here on Thursday.
“By denying The Herald’s permit renewal, the Home Ministry could be misconstrued as taking punitive action over the religious publication’s suit against the government on the usage restriction of the ‘Allah’ terminology.”
The Herald’s editor, Father Lawrence Andrew (pic), told AFP the ministry had cancelled the 2010 permit without giving any reason.
Permit approved, then retracted
The ministry had initially approved the publication’s permit renewal in a letter dated on Aug 3 but retracted it in another letter dated Sept 5.
The ministry should also allow the application for the publication of a section in the Kadasandusun language, said Gan, adding that Malaysians have the constitutional rights of freedom of worship.
“There should be no denying the rights of non-Muslims to read and practise matters regarding their faith in their own native language.”
“The seizure of Christian literature and Bibles by the authorities and disputes against judicial decisions involving conversions have all contributed towards the backlash against the Barisan Nasional government.”
Engage not alienate
What the government should do is engage Christian bodies instead of alienating them, said Gan, who is also MCA political education bureau chief.
Just as other religious-themed publications have been allowed to operate, Christians should not be denied their right to spiritual growth as The Herald is a means for Catholics to learn more about their faith, said Gan.
The Herald is printed in four languages and has a circulation of 14,000 copies a week. It is circulated among the country’s 850,000 Catholics.
If the Home Ministry can do that to the countrys catholics what chnces has other denominations have against the HOME MINISTRY bureaucrats. It’s enough to send shivers down the spine of those who believe in the countrys constitution of RELIGIOUS FREEDOM.
Sarawak and Sabah has a lot to lose out especailly for the BN government as the multi racial ethnic groups will not tolerate being pushed too far. It’s a WAKE UP CALL for the bureaucrats in the Home Minstry and the government departments to toe the line of this very fluid issue. BN will suffer for their actions if this is not checked and stopped. Enough said and we rests our case…………….

Sarawak it’s Calm “Signals are Good for State BN”
November 8, 2009
Updated:- Privilege source said 13 supreme council members including deputy president Peter Nyarok were absent at yesterday’s meet.Do you honestly think that all is well in SPDP..he begs todiffer hmmm A crack in the seams and whee will the New Assistant Minister Nansian be supporting ??
Updated:- 5.15 Pm New Assistant Ministers- PBB- Wahab Aziz,Dr.Rundi and Talib Zulphilip SPDP-Peter Nansian PRS-Mong Dagang and john Sikie. ( Larry Sng retained despite all the speculations of him being dropped)
I would like to see Sng (picture) retained because we do not have enough young Chinese leaders. Things like that can be sorted out before the election,” Taib said when referring to the position of the Sarawak cabinet’s youngest member as a result of the PRS internal leadership crisis
Chief Minister Taib is truely a master tactician and a strategist when it comes to administering the State of Sarawak. There was much hype in the reshuffle of Ministers/Assistant Ministers,SPDP tussling of positins for the AGM on December 28th and 29th and the PRS Dinner where words from disgruntled members said that CM was not bothered and will not attend.
Alas, doesn’t this remind us of the Hug of the Uncle and the nephew in Hilton? Today he will announce the names of his new colleagues in the state Administration at 4 pm at wisma Bapa Malaysia and believe me there are already a bee line of reporters waiting at the site of the announcement. Speculations are a plenty and CM has already capitalise on this and enhance further his credibility of staying in power for another term.
SPDP is just a phone call away and now he needs a strong coalition to ensure the State would remain a strong BN bastion. Mawan summed it up nicely with these words,‘Any member challenging any determined post in the line up without the consent of the President is tantamount to working against the interests of the party, and I shall vigorously endeavour to stop such move, and not to allow it to succeed to undermine the party.” This was used by CM to his innsider especially at the height of the PRS crisis. The weak has fallen down the wayside and his troops in PRS are now those who will bow directly to him and his ways of administering the State.
An informed source and a close ally of Larry Sng has informed various persons that CM will not attend PRS dinner. Unknown to him the ripples that he created backfired and there was a very Big splash which resulted in CM’s allies working overtime. Let’s put it very simply,”Who are the deputy Federal ministers in PRS-Salang and Entulu and the Prime ministers son and an UMNO elder is also making an appearance. CM has always said to us,”Swallow your pride and you will see that the road is clearer. ”
Its (HOK BIN-Hockien) Show face (English) and the signals are even better now that we have heard that close allies of Affendi Jeman has lost faith in him with UMNO protem committee and they are leaving him. PBB will be even more stable with all these news and there are no alternatives to the State BN as very soon more we dare say will “leap back to the state BN after looking for greener pastures”
SUPP he has put his trusts on his in law George Chan and they will do well not to lose further seats in the coming State elections. SUPP need a boost of some sort and in time it will be given a new ”NUCLEAR ENERGY” to fight against the determined and solid Sarawak DAP. The Dudong issue will be used to wash away the detractors in the SUPP circles and very soon all will be found out.
His State administration in place and his political parties are solid behind him the CM will signal it as a very nice inspiration and signal to call for a State Election. Those who aspire to be included in his new team and did not make it, needs to wait till 2012. …Thats not too long to wait is it? CM know what his peoples pride is and he will use it to challenge those who undermine him.
Any trojan horses in the opposition..hmmm? seems SKY has his sights on blogging on Lazy Sunday. For some its a holy and blessed Sunday while others will celebrate and thank God for their new found positions in the State cabinet….

“Politics..All is Forgotten Today..”
October 25, 2009

(The rants and fury of Rafael and Ferguson)
Its Sunday and the kickoff between Liverpool and Manchester United is only hours away. It will be at Anfield the home of Liverpool where the two most supported teams in the world will be locking horns and the worlds football fraternity and neutrals too will surely focus on this match.
Its an ADVERTISEMENT FIELD AND PAY DAY and with 36 titles between them who could ask for more? The football mega stars of Torres,Gerards,Giggs,Rooney will give centrestage to Michael Owen who was once a Liverpool favourite son but now wears the colours of rivals Manchester United. Will the fans give him a well deserved standing ovation or will they turn on their former favourite son ( Betrayal Huh..!!).
Also this game looks beyond the two Managers in Sir Alex Ferguson and Rafael Benetiz .(even his late father Paco said,”was a stubborn child. “It wasn’t humanly possible to convince him” What did they say about Alex Ferguson..we leave that to another day..Hmmm.. smells of a tinge of politics here.
Similarly it reminds of former favourite son of UMNO Anwar Ibrahim. Wonder whether Manchseter Uniteds ardent fan PM Najib will have a wager with his former colleague in UMNO Anwar on the result of this match? Will we ever know? Nowadays its just a phone call away and a Teh tarik and Nasi lemak (Malaysian favourite food and drink) will still get your Adrenalin pumping..
Tonight this game takes centrestage eventhough there are other games on offer with Manchester City taking on Fulham,Bolton against Everton and the London derby of West Ham taking on free flowing Arsenal at Upton Park.

Sarawak-PBDS”Baru”..???
October 15, 2009

The Political climate is so fluid that it seems that everyone is rushing to form a new party. It doesn’t matter whether they have the right people/right team as long as the vehicle is ready to be utilised to check the STATE BN in the next state elections.
audie61 has received a number of phone calls and it seems some past leaders are looking into the possibility of using the recognisable defunct identity of “PBDS-Parti Bangsa Dayak Sarawak” by renaming it Parti Bersatu Democratic Sarawak Baru. Its logical says a political analyst as there are still a lot of sympathisers around who shed a few tears when the former PBDS was wrapped up and deregistered by ROS. If they stop the ‘dayak” word they cannot stop the word “democratic” Makes sense doesn’t it..? Oooh Ai PBDS lagi…
A few names were bandied around to audie61 but due to the ripples, sparks and falsehood of political parties mushrooming here and there its our right to protect their identities until like what Affendi Jeman(Protem UMNO Chairman said to audie61 a few days ago,”Let them speculate.Everyone has a right to speculation but if there is , lets wait for an Official announcement. Get to the source and ensure that the story is genuine or else it will be very damaging.”
If it happens that will be following the UMNO way. It was deregistered and later it became UMNO Baru. There are a lot of speculations and even before Pakatan Rakyat Sarawak was launched it somehow managed hit a MASSIVE ROCK MIDSTREAMwith mosts people turning their backs on the party. One call to audie 61 was,’Are you going to Sibu this weekend for the launching..L.O.L?”

Oooh No Jabu.. Samy Vellu is Also Screaming”
September 14, 2009
It was supposed to be like any Saturday when the families will go shopping and have a good Saturday breakfast. Sunday is of course reserved to pay homage to the One and Only Almighty Creator for those of the Christian faith. What would you just imagine the folks who will be attending services be talking about?
Its either going to be Jabus press statement on Penans or the MIC delegates conference. The thing with Sammy Vellu is that he has already mentioned everyone will DIE( of course we would political sarcasm to the extreme) which in itself is the yardstick and an indicator that all is not TOO WELL IN THE BN FAMILY. Moreover it is being analysed now by most political whose who or spin doctors that Sammy Vellu and MIC has seen better days. One of the reports HERE.
We do not want to take the SHINE off the Article but this creates a rather interesting read,”Sammy Vellu allowed delegates to speak up against a government, of which he was minister for nearly 30 years, and in which his party is still represented by a minister and two deputy ministers.” To anyone who follows MIC politics this is just the tip of the iceberg and in we are pretty sure that UMNO will not let this just slip by their fingers. Aaaaaahhhhhhhhh!! .
On the Sarawak front though,”Jabu as deputy Chief Minister meanwhile is singing a different tune from PRS President James Masing and SPDP president William Mawan. Can anyone tell us what is the Political Strategists / Press Secretary of Jabu doing? Im not about to apple polish our dear Deputy Chief Minister Jabu as I sat down with another one DCM Chan yesterday at a Food Fair having local delicacies. The topic of conversation would be politics and what is happening in Sarawak…..plus of course the FOOD MMmmmm nice “Ayam Pansuh“
Here goes my dear DCM if you do not know and need reminding as there are too many Sarawak tasks and responsibilities to cover,” What are your people who are supposed to inform you doing.? Arent they tasked or paid to inform you as their bosses WHAT NOT OR WHAT SHOULD BE SAID ? If this was not Sarawak or Malaysia for that matter Jabu would have incur more than the peoples wrath but also would be fearing for his life let alone his family. Please, please, please. I am not threatening but its its the REALITY of the information and technological age whereby Politicians will be judged by their press statements and actions.
What makes Chong Chieng Jin MP for Kota Sentosa so well liked by the voters while the ruling government hates his guts. Believe me we know as we are the people on the ground. For that matter PKR Dominique may have to learn a bit more to ensure that he is reelected again. I’ll bet my last $ that Chong will be another term YB.
Of course one would remember how Sammy Vellu screamed at the opening of the MIC delegates congress. MIC president S Samy Vellu said BN must deliver on its promises collectively as one coalition, and not individually as component parties in a veiled reference to the lack of support from Umno.
He said the people regarded the BN as “one” and not as separate entities.”The people only see us as BN and the 1Malaysia government. So let us partner to prosper the people.”
Without a doubt now the people who are supposedly preparing and doing the fine details of the political speeches must be accountable for their actions. The politicians does not just simply blah blah and blah unless they so decide themselves as LOOSE CANNONS.
It must be noted that out of this whole sad political affairs that is happening in Malaysia for Jabu and Sammy something good surfaces. It just goes to show that Politicians when they come to office as YBs or Ministers needs to employ the bests political brains/strategists or else they will just tagged another “USELESS AND WORTHLESS PEOPLES REPRESENTATIVE“ It’s sad that this scenario is happening in Malaysia but we need to do some HOUSEKEEPING in order that our YBs do not become sub standard and in due time be just like another TREE LEFT TO ROT (pardon my language) on a trafficless and unjamed Road.(unattended)
We say as always,” Something good will come out of all this..We HOPE……..)

{ Now Pakatan YBs also Arrogant..????}
September 10, 2009
A political watcher hinted to Natasha of audie 61 to view the report in Malaysiakini in which it said{ Jeff Ooi should apologise} and in it Halim said{ Jeff Ooi is known for his arrogance}. Surely apologising is not one of his trait. But he must learn that JIM is an organisation that he cannot just trample on and nothing happens. If he wants to be a politician in multiracial and multicultural society than he has to learn humility. Insulting organisations is not as the same as insulting individuals
DOES IT MEAN THAT …. { It really goes to show now that once the individual ascends the so called throne of Yang Berhormats their mentality, character, personality and intellectual levels are up one notch and they SUDDENLY have got their feet off the ground..} But it must be noted that one bad apple does affect the whole bunch and this is what BN or Pakatan leaders needs to CHECK THE ARROGANCE THERMOMETERS of their respective YBs or else in this day and age they will be blown away in the NEXT ELECTIONS.
THE Voters nowaways are TOO STREET SMART with the availability and advancement of superior technological savvy tools at a touch of a button.
audie 61 says ( AT THE END OF IT ALL ITS YOUR CALL WITH A MARK AT WHICH SYMBOL TO PICK YOUR YBs or MPs…………………………) Are we correct, correct, correct…?

MCA-History,History,History..Lets See…
September 9, 2009
It seems that the Cabinet has decided to have a high powered taks force to investigate the PKFZ scandal was an sms received by Joey of audie61. This Malaysiakini report in which Ong Tee Keat speaks his mind and says that LET HISTORY JUDGE US. We reposts here…
The Port Klang Free Zone (PKFZ) fiasco has turned out to be a nightmare for the MCA, BN and the Transport Ministry.
Dubbed by some as the ‘Mother of all scandals’, it not only involves a number of MCA and BN politicians but may also turn out to be the death knell for the political career of current MCA president and Transport Minister Ong Tee Keat.
As the cabinet discusses the task force report into the scandal today, Ong said that he had done his best in probing the case.
He claimed that the unpopular move has unleashed forces within and outside the government and his party in a conspiracy to oust him so as to derail the investigation.
“OTK be OTK. Whether they like me or not, I have my job to do. I am guided by my conscious. I am not guided by the popularity vote that people are deliberately attempting to portray me as.”
Conspiracy in high places
Ong has also singled out PKFZ’s turnkey contractor Kuala Dimensi Sdn Bhd’s owner, Bintulu MP and BN Backbenchers chief Tiong King Sing as working hand in hand with sacked MCA deputy chief Chua Soi Lek to stop him from getting to the bottom of the scandal.
Both Tiong and Chua have denied the allegations and they instead accused Ong of trying to glorify himself by politicising the PKFZ scandal and mixing it with the party matters.
Dismissing the claim, Ong said, “Nobody in the right frame of mind would choose such a way or such a path to glorify himself, when you have to brace yourself to face all sorts of allegation and hurl against you.”
“I have done whatever is necessary. People can judge and see what were my gains and what could I get from this. Am I going to play hero and enhance my political career? I don’t think there is any room (left) for my (political) escalation.”
Scepticism and opposition pressure
In an interview with Malaysiakini at his Transport Ministry office on Monday, Ong said when he first started the investigation on the RM12.5 billion fiasco, there were a lot of scepticism and the opposition did not have kind words for him.
“My true feeling is that when I first started it, people hammered me, even the opposition who has been purportedly championing accountability and transparency. Remember the kind of statements they made against me?
“These are the doomsayers, they pre-empt everything and said it is impossible and unlikely that I will be able to conduct a proper, comprehensive and genuine investigation. All sorts of things have been said against me. But I remain adamant and don’t even want to engage in any verbal spat.”
Veteran opposition leader Lim Kit Siang has been hounding Ong after the Port Klang Authority (PKA) released the full audit report prepared by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) which details various malpractice and weakness.
Lim has been pushing Ong to declassify certain letters and correspondence in relation to the PwC audit report and make a ministerial statement to allow for a parliamentary debate.
The opposition leader has followed up by asking about three questions on the issue a day, which has annoyed to the minister.
We have done what is to be done
On the public perception that he is alone in pushing for the investigation and received little support from his BN colleagues, Ong refused to comment.
“I think that is not for me to comment (on this).”
He also refuted the claim that the government is reluctant to take action against the culprits and claimed that the only thing he cannot do is to arrest people.
“Can’t you see that after the PWC report (was released), what has unfolded? The (setting up) of three panels (PKFZ special panels), who are putting in hard work and solid work and they are independent. We have done what is expected of us.
“The only thing I cannot do is arrest people. I cannot do wonders (as suggested) by certain people to play the role of judge, jury and executioner. I think that by itself it is mockery to their own belief of separation of powers.”
Not proper to take flight
He also denied any improper relationship by taking free flights from Tiong King Sing’s company plane.
“Using his flights doesn’t mean that by itself is a favour. No. If at all anybody including me and others were to be offered a lift by third party, it does it not mean we have to ask beforehand ‘are you going to charge me?’
“Going back to the so-called failure to pay him whatever, if you had read through my statement, I said loud and clear, he is not the only service provider in the town. There is no element of favour involved. So far the question is whether or not the service provider has ever sent us the invoice?”
Ong has filed a RM500 million suit against Tiong for alleging that he had taken a RM10 million political donation from Tiong. But he confirmed that he had used KDSB’s private jet five times for “emergency purposes” only.
He said that out of the five occurrences, he should not be billed for one flight because he said he was “invited” to join that flight, while insisting that KDSB has yet to issue invoices to charge him for the service.
In an apparent bid to show that there was no conflict of interest, Ong said he also engaged the services of other private jet companies and not just KDSB alone.
Sex DVD much more damaging
Ong also took a swipe at his rival Chua Soi Lek who criticised his handling of the PKFZ fiasco which, lamented the sacked deputy leader, could pave the downfall of BN and MCA.
“At the same time it is amusing for me to learn that from him, if this is deemed as something that could bring down the BN and MCA, then how about the sex DVD? Don’t you think that is even more severe in terms of impact, not just to BN, MCA and even the country as a whole?”
Chua resigned from all government and party posts early last year following the eruption of a sensational sex DVD which shows him engaging in sexual acts.
He made a remarkable comeback in last October’s party polls by beating then secretary-general Ong Ka Chuan for the deputy president’s post.
However 21 months after the incident, MCA presidential council decided to expell him based on the recommendation of the party’s disciplinary committee.
The reason for his expulsion from MCA was due to him tarnishing the party’s image over the sex DVD incident.
Below is the text of the interview by Malaysiakini with MCA president Ong Tee Keat
Malaysiakini: Do you regret taking the flights on Tiong’s company plane?
Ong Tee Keat: Using his flights doesn’t mean that by itself is a favour. No. If at all anybody, including me, or others were to be offered a lift by a third party, does it mean we have to ask beforehand that are you going to charge me or what so ever?
Going back to the so-called failure to pay him, if you had read through my statement, I said loud and clear, he is not the only service provider in the town. There is no element of favour involved. So far the question is whether or not the service provider has ever sent us the invoice?
I don’t think anybody in their right frame of mind would ever do business like this.
There is wide public perception that there is lack of support from BN and your colleagues in dealing with the PKFZ issue. Some said that Prime Minister’s Office statement to support the investigations came too late for you.
I think that is not for me to comment (on this).
My true feeling is that, when I first started it, people crticised me. Even the opposition who has been purportedly championing accountability and transparency, but remember what kind of statement they made against me?
These are the doomsayers, they predict everything and said it is impossible and unlikely that I will be able to conduct a proper, comprehensive and genuine investigation. All sorts of things have been said against me. But I remain adamant and don’t even want to engage in any verbal spats.
Do you think you have done your part in producing the auditor’s report?
I have to be answerable to my own self as well as to my conscience.
But the public still perceives that there is still a lack of action (taken against the culprits)?
Can’t you see that after the PwC report (was released), what has unfolded? The (setting up) of three panels (PKFZ special panels), who are putting in hard work and solid work, and they are independent. We have done what is expected of us.
The only thing I cannot do is arrest people, I cannot do wonders (as suggested) by certain people to play the role of judge, jury and executioner. I think that by itself it is a mockery in their own belief of separation of powers.
So are you confident that the action will be taken? The case will be solved eventually? The culprits will be prosecuted?
I have done whatever is necessary. People can judge the gains that I could get from this. Is it that by doing so, I am going to play hero and enhance my political career?
I don’t think there is any room (left) for my (political) escalation.
But Chua Soi Lek says that the way you are dealing with PKFZ is going to bring BN and MCA down and only glorify yourself?
Nobody in the right frame of mind would choose such a way or such a path to glorify himself when you have to brace yourself to face all sorts of allegations and hurled against you.
At the same time it is amusing for me to learn that from him. If this is deemed as something that could bring down BN and MCA, then how about the sex DVD?
Don’t you think that is even more severe in terms of impact, not just to BN, MCA and even the country as a whole?
I think somehow politicians and non-politicians alike must learn that the norms and values are not something that we can simply distort at our wimps and fancies. Uhuk! Uhuk! Uhuk! Malaysiakini Story on Selangor
September 1, 2009
The coffee crowd at “Coffee Fresh”was building up and there were many people in line. Suddenly Joey of audie61 heard a familiar ringtone on her mobile phone. She tried to ignore it but a few more messages came through . Aarrgh! What the heck and as they are messages from her ex colleagues in Malaysiakini. Ihoooo..! ” the waiter ask,”Can I help You..?” Instantly she said Yes,What is this…..Uhuk..! Uhuk! Uhuk..! Selangor….OoooH ..Please..This is the report from Malaysiakini….
For the Pakatan Rakyat states, it seems, all roads lead back to Barisan Nasional (BN) rule and Selangor is next on the list. That is, if Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak has his way.
It all started with the coup de grace that saw BN taking over Perak. A beaming Najib – who was then PM-in-waiting – announced that the coalition is taking over the silver state in his capacity as state Umno liaison chief.

Najib was handed the portfolio after the Jan 29 Umno supreme council marathon session. He took over from disgraced former Perak MB Tajol Rosli before the events led to the controversial takeover.
The adroit orchestration which toppled the Perak government, saw three Pakatan state assemblypersons suddenly jumping ship and becoming independents. They later expressed their support for BN.
In an ominous move chillingly similar to the Perak fracas, Najib was elevated to the throne of Selangor Umno liaison chief on April 24.
As pointed out by Universiti Malaya antropology and social sciences lecturer Noor Sulastry Yurni Ahmad: “If we remember what happened in Perak, we can infer that Selangor is next in Najib’s sights; he has promised to take over Selangor and he is likely to do it.”
In contrast to the surreptitious manoeuvring, prior to the fall of the silver state, Najib’s recent campaign started with him blatantly telling the nation that he intends to “win back Selangor”. He said this while officiating the Kuala Selangor Umno division meeting on Aug 9.
The prime minister’s statement stirred a hornet’s nest amongst Pakatan leaders. They rushed to close the respective barn doors before any more of their prized elected stallions could bolt.
As with the political jumping jacks in Perak, the assemblyperson in question will usually ‘disappear’ before reappearing to announce he or she has switched sides. This was the case with Jamaluddin Mohd Radzi, Osman Jailu, Hee Yit Foong and Trojan Horse Nasharuddin Hashim.
Now PKR’s Port Klang assemblyperson Badrul Hisham Abdullah is nowhere on the radar and, so far, has remained incommunicado.
Looking at his ‘disappearance’, the Machiavellian machinations attempting to derail Selangor Pakatan may have been long in the making. This is despite Najib only making the announcement a few weeks ago.
Fanning the flames of race and religion
Another facet of the ruling coalition’s long standing machinations seem to involve a concerted effort by Umno leaders, BN-friendly media and NGOs. All apparently with the underlying agenda of fanning the flames of race and religion, specifically to highlight issues which are sensitive to Islam and Malays in Selangor.
Noor Sulastry, who specialises in ethnic and racial politics, confirmed that “there are elements of race and religion in news carried by the mainstream media”.
She mentioned Utusan Malaysia, Berita Harian and others under the Media Prima and RTM aegis as being the usual suspects.
The trend probably started with the scathing attack on DAP parliamentarian Teresa Kok over the azan issue. This was followed by Bukit Lanjan assemblyperson Elizabeth Wong’s condemnation as a person of ‘loose’ morality over her intimate photo scandal.
They were joined, in the line of fire, by Selangor exco Ronnie Liu (right) who was slammed over his alleged involvement with vice and gangster elements, as well as, over the alcohol issue. Another state exco, Dr Xavier Jayakumar, also faced flak over the ‘insensitive’ relocation of a temple into a Malay-majority area.
But the most prominent of these ‘attacks’ was the crusade by none other then DPM Muhyiddin Yassin himself against de facto PKR leader Anwar Ibrahim, calling the latter “a traitor to the Malay race”.
Muhyiddin’s allegations against Anwar go hand in hand with recent sharp rhetoric in editorials and articles in Utusan.
One commentary in the Malay-language daily drew the ire of Centre for Independent Journalism executive director V Gayathry who said: “I believe that the commentary is trying to racialise the fundamental issues of governance and accountability. It gets problematic when you use (the) racial lens to solve these issues.”
Officials from the NGO Permuakatan Ummah (Pewaris) and Muhyiddin, however, defended Utusan’s articles.
The DPM explained that the articles were only a reaction to protests which challenged Malay institutions. This is a 360o turn from his earlier chastising of the newspaper for its article titled Melayu dikhianati? (Malays betrayed?) on June 2.
Noor Sulastry commented that the DPM’s defence of the Malay daily had sent the wrong message.
“As a senior government official, Muhyiddin’s statement paints the picture that Utusan is a government tool,” she explained.
“BN’s shameless use of the media to further its hegemony is a throwback from the Mahathir era.
“The implications also goes beyond our borders as most in the international community now seem to think that Malays are racists.”
Agitating the Malays
The lecturer further added that the reason for the focus on these sensitive issues, relating to Islam and the Malays, is because “Najib is trying to win the support of the Malay Muslims”. This is especially to reach the grassroots from lower income groups.
She explained that the use of free terrestrial stations under RTM and Media Prima, is extremely effective as most of the Malay grassroots do not have access to more impartial reporting of the alternative media and channels like Awani, on paid services like Astro.
According to her, Najib, by using these sensitive issues, would erode Malay support for Selangor Pakatan agitating the Malays into questioning their support for the state government.
What makes it worse, as she sees it, “DAP seems to overshadow PKR in Selangor. Even in PKR, its information chief Tian Chua seems to have more prominence than Anwar.” This makes it easy for BN to portray the Malays as being neglected.
However, Noor Sulastry warned that this is not helped by the fact that non-Malay communities are also starting to make demands that Malays may find sensitive.
Driving a wedge into Pakatan
But more than just agitating the Malays, BN is looking to drive a wedge into Selangor Pakatan. This is a major driving force of their Selangor campaign.
Najib himself specifically mentioned PAS and DAP as convenient targets when announcing his campaign to take over Selangor. In his statement, the PM described the unlikely duo as “oil and water”.
Noor Sulastry concurred that the two parties “have very different ideologies”.
But nothing better describes the schism between the two Pakatan

components than what Puchong MP Gobind Singh Deo (left) told The Nutgraph in an interview. “PAS is pushing for an Islamic state. DAP always maintains it’s a secular state.”
This is the crack in Pakatan that BN is looking to drive a wedge into. Looking to turn it into a yawning crevasse that they hope would eventually break Pakatan’s back.
These are the provocations that Umno and its Youth movement are heaping upon PAS. They are using issues like the alcohol ban and unity government as bait to lure the Islamic party into a head-on collision with DAP. This is the powder keg situation that BN is hoping to ignite, in order to break apart the fledgling opposition coalition.
Umno’s sudden religious attitude seems to be a tad hypocritical however, as Noor Sulastry observed, “nothing was said of the same issues in other BN-led states”.
She also warned that “even PKR members may be at odds with PAS, as PKR is more ’secular’ than the increasingly hardline PAS”.
She, however, concluded that despite BN’s attempts, “Pakatan is still united for now, though the opposition coalition will forever be marked by the ‘taint’ of the scandals peppered against it”.
The ‘taint’ may even cost long term damage that may make itself felt in the next general election, she added.
Well..Let’s SEE how it unfolds…Where is Badrul…..Hmmm..??

Hold on What’s going on..? audie61 and crew made their way to have lunch after our impromptu meeting. We were all wearing audie61 T-Shirts and Natasha,Cindy,Joyce and my wife commented that we will be very noticeable. How I wished that Bouvelard Shopping Mall Management had sponsored our T-Shirts. Why didn’t we think of that and while writing this report Boulevard could have got me a scanner to substantiate my posting. Never mind..!
We were all talking about the highhandedness of some security officials or people in uniforms. It certainy goes with the Job and some people just cannot be given that “POWER” if you know what I mean.. They abuse the system or does not follow the procedures or think that they are in charge and nothing else matters.
We sat down and had lunch and my wife had Coconut juice at M$2.00 and me drinking water at M$1.80. This happen at the vicinity of Boulevard Food Court at precisely 15.03 Cashier 02 Change returned M$1.20 after giving a M$5. Happily all of us had our lunch and said how comforting the place was and the aircondition was just what we needed as the temperatures outside was very high and the weather hot and humid. After lunch we parted ways and I made my way to Boulevard Hypermarket.
Occasionally I do my weekend shopping here for groceries. This time we just purchased 12 items amounting to M$57.10 as shown by Hong Leong Bank Credit Card Receipt. I wanted to pay in cash but the incident which is about to happen just got me going. There was no Encik or Sir when the security approached me and just stared at me and said ,”You minum Air bottle tidak bayar“ What! Huh! Whats your problem my friend I asked him?
You security “Sini Kah“I said and asked him on what grounds do you suspect I drink this Boulevard Air Minuman Exp date 13/05/11 without paying for it. Please lah for M$1.80 I am going to be termed a ‘SHOPLIFTER” I gave him a piece of my mine and I blog this article so that the management of Boulevard shopping Mall at Block 16,K.C.L.D,Jalan Datuk Tawi Sli Kuching will look at their security officials and SYSTEM OF GOVERNANCE plus MANAGEMENT in order that this embarrasing situation does not occur again or be replayed. Who knows the person might not be so forgiving ..??
- Firstly, The security officers do need a good and proper training.
- Secondly, the on the spot questioning needs to be more courteous and polite.
- Thirdly, maybe hmmm audie 61 can give them a TRAINING PROGRAMME to help the management.(Fee chargeable..!!)
- We would thought that this weekend would be much better after what we have discussed amongst the crew of audie61 and we touched on how crime /security /lawlessness in the country has risen up in recent years.
- Did this incident have to happen to make us blog this article?
By the way if there are more proof needed this is our parking ticket No:03192441 Departure 16.30pm. We just hope that this article will indeed open up the eyes for the management of all shopping arcades/malls/hypermarkets. audie61 would love if you all could sponsor our T-shirts and in doing so the security in the areas patronised by shoppers would be ‘A HAPPIER AND CONDUCIVE ENVIRONMENT” We can be reached at the E-mail:-lufc61@hotmail.com. Drop us a line and see how we can assist you……
We say as always,”Boulevard receipt has,”Thank You.Please Come again. Have a Nice Day!!” We shall be waiting for the management to write to us and inform us that they have taken the necessary actions and steps to avoid another EMBARRASING SITUATION. There might be other implications if this situation remains…..
