Larry Sng “An Outsider Now..?”

SWP{Sarawak Workers Party} so called BN friendly have trained their guns at PRS even since it was registered in May.There was so much “Bitternest” and Hate Venom” which both of the two party supporters have experienced in their fall out and sackings from PRS and its no wonder that the GE13 will be their battleground.

To date SWP has two State YBs in George Lagong who won as independant in Pelagus and has since joined SWP as Deputy President and Wong Judat who resigned from SPDP and chose to join SWP to engage in a personal vendetta with Joseph Salang of PRS in the nxt GE13.

A senior SWP member said”PRS James Masing has helmed the party and its time he knows that he won the decision after GE12 as BN was badly rocked by not even achieving the 2/3rds majority.BN needed the 6 PRS seats for fear that there might be crossover in the “infamous 916″ takeover of Federal government.

PRS in recent months have voiced their concerns and are very uncomfortable with the BN-friendly tag by SWP. In recent months the BN Sarawak SG Stephan Rundi has even said this”If you ask me as BN secretary-general, I see any new party that fights any of our component parties as ‘you touch one you touch all, you fight one you fight all’. This principle remains and will be there as long as BN is ruling this country

If you fight one of us, you cannot call us friends,”

Even PM Najib on June 3rd 2012 had this to say”SWP cannot claim to be BN-friendly when it wants to contest against the BN. Such action is obviously not consistent. If it is really BN-friendly, what is wrong in supporting all BN candidates. That is the crux of the issue.”

State PKR Election Bureau secretariat official Baharuddin Mokhsen told audie61″ SWP versus PRS is good as we in PKR and Pakatan will be able to capitalise on the infighting which persists in BN. We are “well prepared for the election” anytime when Najib dissolves ParliamentBN friendly or whatever SWP wants to call it doesn’t matter to us as we have shorlisted our candidates to face BN and hurt them when they least expects.

Deputy Chief Minister Alfred Jabu was also not too BN friendly to SWP when he termed SWP as ‘musang berbulu ayam{fox dressed up in chicken’s clothes} It’s leaders said that they are pro-BN but on the other hand it wants to fight PRS in their 6 designated areas.

SO Nyallau is not alone fighting SWP.. He has made his point in a press statement below:-

SPDP Wong Judat..Hedging Choices Over..!!

On May 1st this appeared in Borneo Post which we quote” “How can I quit BN and SPDP? I am a strongman of SPDP. I am a strong BN supporter. I brought the seat of Meluan to SPDP and therefore to BN.”

Today Wong Judat has more than ruffled up a few feathers and his Hedging with SWP,SPDP.PRS and also to boosts his personal value is very much coming to an end. He has indeed put the party SPDP in the back burner and wants to project himself as a champion of the truth.

His personal ego and battle against Joseph Salang Vice President of PRS is due mainly to the “stalled RM3 million Nanga Entabai-Rantau Limau road project.” Salang had explained on the reasons for the divertion of funds but Judat just cannot accept the fact that the funds were stolen right under his noses.

We received from an informed source that Salang is only too happy to await for Wong Judat to challenge him as the incumbent for Julau. The source says “let him come as our personal differences or his vendetta is making him Wong losing sleep. I am ready for whatever eventualities says Salang

Wong Judats outpouring of emotions and going for broke only if Salang is chosen as candidate for GE13 has put a dampener on his hedging stances. It does appear that noises from within SWP in that the President is not too happy with Wong Judats “fast and furious ways and also over enthusiastic TEMPER. The Party SWP is going for 6 seats and if Salang is not chosen Wong Judat will not stand.

WHERE DOES THIS PUT SWP SURELY IN A DILEMMA? It will indeed throw a spanner in the works of SWP and it will benefit PRS is the voice from within.

Wong Judat needs to make his own choices very soon. He either forgos his Vice Presidents posts in SPDP (failing which it will fall to the hands of the disciplinary committee)  or he resigns gentlemanly in which SPDP will have one less ADUN and left with 1 ADUN and 3 MPs.

His HEDGING DAYS are nearing the end but its also up to him to make a choice as the party SPDP will not want to get into loggerheads with PRS.

The BN component parties needs to stay united and in solidarity as it faces its toughest yet General Elections which will be called by the PM very soon.

FACEBOOK Comments on SWP”Battle of Selangau”

The news media have highlighted this story the last few days Natasha a columnist at audie61 said “its a battle royale as Entulu the Deputy Minister has thrown a challenge to Larry Sng to come to Selangau to contest.” Its on Facebook and PRS loyalists have come out to comment. These are some of the postings:-

    • Alexander Donald If Larry wants to save himself from humiliation and embarrassment he should stay away from Selangau. He should stay away from any PRS seat for that matter. Dayak have now come of age in politics. SWP cannot fool us with their rhetoric and cheap politickings. In the final reckoning we know who can and should represent us.

OUR PREVIOUS ARTICLE below garnered a number of comments 33 in all and some of them can be read here:-

SWP “Making In Roads In BN/PRS Areas”

4 seats against PRS now turning to 6. The momentum gains support with huge numbers coming to the functions of SWP we were informed.

A spokesman called audie61 and told us that SWP(Sarawak Workers Party) promoters George Lagong,Josephine Mawatand also former Sarawak Report journalists Lester Melanyi were together with Datuk Sng Chee Hua at the Parliamentary Seat of Selangau.

The function at Ladang Empat in Selangau district was well attended by over 1000 supporters of SWP. At a nearby function the incumbent Selangau MP Joseph Entulu could only garner 400 people he said.

Datuk Sng also handed a donation of $20000 to assist the longhouse JKKK and it is reliably learnt that he will take on the PRS No.2 man in Joseph Entulu.

The SWP spokeperson indicated the lineup of the following against the BN/PRS seats

  • 1. Hulu Rajang (George Lagong)
  • 2. Kanowit ( Ellison Ludan)
  • 3. Julau ( Colin Balla)
  • 4. Selangau(Datuk Sng)
  • 5. Lubok Antu (Langa Lias)
  • 6. Sri Aman(will name at next weeks function)

Meanwhile a PKR staunch supporter Baginda Minda and also former James Masings Information Chief said “VERY GOOD.Let BN fight BN- friendly and we will capitalise on the remaining voters.” Lubok Antu and Hulu Rajang are our top parliamentary targetted seats held by PRS. We also have candidates shortlisted .

The imminent GE13 will see many aspiring politicians throwing their weight and names to be nominated to stand. Whatever political divide, ideals and party one stands on the “rakyat” will have the final say. CM Taib has already mentioned in Sarawak we practise democracy and the ‘rakyat’ will choose. Their votes will determine who will be the member of parliament for that constituency.

WE DO LIVE IN INTERESTING TIMES.

“SWP v PRS..Rakyats Choice..??”

Two years ago we wrote this,”This is a favourite phrase”mushrooming of parties especially elections are near“in reference to “Peace Party” on June 14 2010. After the approval of SWP(Sarawak Workers Party) there are strong indications that People’s Alliance for Justice and Peace Party (Peace Party)has also been approved by the ROS Malaysia.

These two parties are approved eventhough they are about 4 others who submitted and the only reason is that”The Political Master finds them a most valuable asset for the coming GE13 and they find the two persons fronting the parties daring and are mosts comfortable in territories where others dont even dare to venture.”

However, there might be another twists and the Home Ministry might approve the rests in Parti Ekonomi Rakyat Sarawak Bersatu (PERSB); Parti Bumi Kenyalang (PBM); Parti Bansa Dayak Sarawak Baru (PBDS Baru); and Parti Tenaga Rakyat Sarawak (Teras).

This could be in line with putting pressure to CM who had indicated to PM and DPM that he will call it a day after the State elections. According to a veteran journalists the Federal Leaders have not forgotten the words spoken by CM Taib in a function in Serian. Peace Party is headed by Julian Petrus Jout (former PBB) and the party is strongly aligned to BN.

SO IT IS NOT ONLY SWP v PRS..??

According to State Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) vice-chairman See Chee How who is also Batu Lintang assemblyman through a telephone conversation he said the smaller parties will not have much effect on the outcome of the elections but it could also mean the floodgates would open for other BN Peninsular based parties especially so UMNO.

See Chee How continued and gave us approval to write this down,”UMNO because of its racists politics has no place in Sarawak” He also does not want to see UMNO in Sarawak for whatever reasons they can come out with.

The modus operandi of the mushrooming of parties in Sarawak can be similar to a trend which saw to the maiden entrance of UMNO to Sabah in the 1990s. The second echelon leaders in UMNO have already made their moves unintentionally but a number of local politicians have already seen the threat as real.

UMNO, we leave it to another day says former PRS strongman Tedewin Ngumbang. You justs look at the approval of SWP its a clear case of BULLY towards PRS.He said,” Isn’t PRS BN and SWP is approved BN-friendly and it will undermine the BN spirit in the state.

UMNO being the dominant party in Malaysian politics after 50 years very much wants their jigsaw puzzle completed with Sarawak missing says a political analysts. Its 31 divisions for anyone who aspires to helm UMNO Malaysia.

The Sarawak Carrot which is Dangling so Deliciously musts be taken seriously.

The online Bernama story (below) have also made a number of politicians making their intentions known and they called audie61.

  1. One BN Penghulu even said “SWP or PEACE win is a BN win “and BN Federal leaders are looking at a bigger picture to stop Pakatan.
  2. Another  youth leader said,”CM’s hands are tied and what else could he say.”
  3. A BN YB said,”the top leaders knows better
  4. Independant YB George Lagong said,”Thats Good news

This is the extracted version,”The newly registered Sarawak Workers Party (SWP) is free to field their candidates in the coming general election, Chief Minister Tan Sri Abdul Taib Mahmudsaid.

The state Barisan Nasional (BN) chairman, who seemed nonchalant, said the registration of yet another political party was part of the political scene in Sarawak, where the people had embraced democracy.

One more party coming in, why not? They are free to be there,” he told reporters after officiating at the opening of the 50th Multi District Lions Convention.

Asked to comment on a statement by SWP protem president Dr Ong Lark Sai that the party would be BN-friendly but might consider taking on the BN, especially in the six seats held by Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS), Abdul Taib said: “It’s up to the rakyat.”  Traditionally, Barisan allocates PRS six parliamentary seats, namely Hulu Rajang, Sri Aman, Lubok Antu, Kanowit, Julau and Selangau.

PRS”2nd Wave of Attacks”

Many phone calls were received by audie61 in the last few days on PRS saying about the ‘enemy within”

Some said,”you all know better and its time to reveal and go on full attack mode against PRS. The question remains,”Should we bother ourselves?” or “We wait and see

We have mentioned earlier,‘A victory for PRS is a victory for BN” and we are not about to rescind on our words

The skirmishes by the sidelines will surely engulf into a bigger war but as per the loyal supporters of PRS they said,”We thought we got the tooth fixed by getting rid of the recalcitrants but now we need really need to extract it fully.

Simply they say, as mosts chinese have been telling them,”we need to chop the headsnake off so that the smaller ones will be irrelevant and not fight back.”

Its all over the news in the print media and internet blogs and we are justs reposting what had happened. We leave it to those who still have REVENGE on their minds to STRIKE.

WE DO NOT WANT TO BE CAUGHT IN A CROSS-FIRE UNLESS……

This was extracted from an internet portal:-

KUCHING: Of late the Julau constituency in Sarawak is causing a lot of worries to Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS), primarily because an old enemy is making an insidious comeback.

The MP for Julau parliamentary constituency is Joseph Salang Gandum. Salang won the seat in 1999 and is tipped to defend it again in the 13th general election. Salang is PRS vice-president and Information, Communication and Heritage Deputy Minister.

But a campaign within the Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition to topple him appears to be in progress.

The PRS supreme council was yesterday briefed on these “prejudicial activities” which are allegedly being carried out by certain BN leaders to undermine Salang’s position.

Said PRS deputy president Joseph Entulu: “The activities of these leaders pose a serious threat to Salang and the party.

“From the ground reports that we have received, such activities are very unhealthy and none of the component parties in BN should do such backstabbing.”

Entulu, who is also the MP for Selangau and Regional and Rural Development Deputy Minister, urged the BN leadership to take note of their concern.

He said the meeting discussed the issue after party president James Masing warned that Julau might fall to the opposition because some BN leaders were giving covert support to a “certain party” planning to contest in the constituency.

“Julau could fall to the opposition if the BN component parties did not stop supporting the independent candidate in the coming general election,” Masing was quoted as saying.

Julau is one of six parliamentary seats allocated to PRS.

Insider help

Masing said he knew the group behind the campaign to unseat Salang but could not do anything about it.

“We have a serious threat in Julau from people within BN who want to go against Salang. We know it and we have reported it to the top BN leaders.

“It is not smart politics; it’s dirty politics,” Masing said.

While he did not name any individual or party, it is reliably learnt that he was referring to Wong Judat, who is Meluan assemblyman and his supporters from Sarawak Progressive Democratic Party (SPDP).

It is not clear whether SPDP president William Mawan is also involved, although it is common knowledge that Mawan and Masing are not on friendly terms.

However, about 200 supporters of Judat and SPDP members were recently entertained to a dinner in Sarikei by former MP for Julau Sng Chee Hua, who is said to be returning to Julau to contest against Salang.

Although Judat was absent at the dinner, it is alleged that Judat has thrown his support behind Sng to contest against Salang, who they consider as their common “enemy”.

Judat was said to be angry over a RM3 million road project which was withdrawn by Salang and transferred instead to another area.

Salang believed that since the plan for the project was not ready, the money would have been returned to the Finance Ministry.

But instead of returning the money to the ministry, Salang suggested it be diverted to another road project. Salang’s arch rival

Judat refused to accept the explanation. He wanted Salang out of Julau as he is an “outsider”. Salang’s longhouse is in Bintangor, but his grandparents came from Julau.

As for Sng, Salang was his arch rival since the days of the defunct Parti Bansa Dayak Sarawak (PBDS) as both had eyed the deputy presidency of the party in the 2003 party election. Sng, however, was defeated.

Moreover, Sng, who won the Julau seat in 1995, was not nominated to defend the seat in the 1999 general election even though he won it with a majority of more than 10,000 votes. His place was taken by Salang.

Sng, who was the “big towkay” in PBDS, allegedly used money to buy votes.

In the coming election, Sng, if he is contesting, is expected to buy the votes of some 7,000 voters out of the 20,761-strong electorate (according to the 2011 electoral rolls).

Voting percentage in this Iban-majority constituency is around 70%.

According to sources, Sng has allegedly promised between RM500 and o RM1,000 per voter, and RM2,000 for each tuai rumah (longhouse chief).

“He needs about RM4 million to RM5 million to topple Salang,” said the sources.

In the 2004 general election, Sng financed Josephine Mawat to contest against Salang who stood on PBDS-BN ticket.

PBDS at that time was a component party of BN at the federal level, but an opposition at the state BN.

Vote-buying

Sng deployed various strategies such as organising ‘polling district competitions’ and ‘longhouse competitions’ to win votes.

Sng also depended heavily on the support of other BN component parties in the state and the use of state government facilities to ensure Mawat’s victory.

He even accused Salang of being a ‘Barisan palsu’ (fake) candidate.

On the polling district competitions, any polling district that gave Mawat the highest votes would receive a prize of RM300,000, while the second highest would receive RM150,000, and third RM100,000.

Likewise, any longhouse which gave her the highest votes would also receive monetary prize.

Despite all these efforts, Sng failed to unseat Salang who secured 8,388 votes as against 5,700 votes polled by Mawat – a majority of 2,688 votes.

Asked to comment on the current activities to unseat him, Salang said: “Don’t worry. I welcome his (Sng’s) challenge. This is democracy”.

This appeared in an English Daily Borneo Posts:-

KUCHING: Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) has used the phrase – ‘siapa makan chabi,  dia merasa pedas’ (loosely translated- those who eat chillies will taste the  hotness) to those who have sabotaged the party.

As such, PRS deputy president Datuk Joseph Entulu, without specifically  mentioning the party and the people concerned, had urged the culprit to stop  such unhealthy practice.

At a press conference at the party’s headquarters in Jalan Pending here  yesterday, Entulu had mentioned Julau as “very serious” as far as sabotaging PRS  is concerned.

He said the matter was debated at length during the party’s supreme council  meeting yesterday, which he himself chaired.

“To those who have sabotaged us, please stop such unhealthy practice.

“For us in PRS, we will not resort to such tactic and we want a similar  treatment,” Entulu, who is Selangau MP told the press conference.

Complaints from grassroots supporters

According to him, the culprit, whom he had also declined to disclose include  top Barisan Nasional (BN) leaders and a component BN party, adding that PRS had  received complaints from its grassroots supporters.

Asked which component party he is referring to, Entulu merely said: “We have  four component parties.”

The Deputy Minister of Rural and Regional Development said Barisan Nasional  (BN) top leadership had been notified and were now aware of the matter.

Yesterday, Masing had reportedly voiced similar problem, and cautioned that  Julau could fall to the opposition if the BN component parties did not refrain  from supporting the independent candidate in the coming general election.

Masing, who is Land Development Minister, noted that some members of BN  component parties were giving covert support to certain parties planning to  contest in the constituency.

PRS has five other parliamentary seats- Selangau, Kanowit, Hulu Rajang, Sri  Aman and Lubok Antu, and Entulu had hoped that no such tactic be deployed to all  the seats.

Meanwhile, Entulu said he is expecting a three-corner fight in his Selangau  constituency, but did not go into details.

PRS…Enemies Pinpointed.!!

What Goes around Comes Around. There is no more Hide and Seek…

There are no love losts left and Sng Chee Hua has come out with guns blazing against his greatest foe to date James Masing. They were enemies in the battle of James/Tajem but became close alliances in the formation of PRS and after the bitter fall out its time to renew the rivalries.

In the lasts few days there have been a hive of activity with former PRS/PBDS members surfacing, seen together with Sng in Kuching and the newspaper reports
http://www.theborneopost.com/2012/04/06/new-party-in-the-state/
have only made it up as rumours. The line-up to the new party have been finalised and the recent candidate lobbying of PRS in Hulu Rajang makes it more urgent for the launching.

Even in Selangau, over the past few months it was known that Sng have made his rounds(tweeted on 27th March-MP Selangau Entulu the incumbent faces possible challenge from Sng.Word on d ground is making headway )and last week he has come over to Julau where he was the MP from 1995-1999. Our earlier article in July 21 2011 asked “ Calon PRS..??” as the picture below shows.

However the status quo has changed since or could it be maintained by PM Najib as he sees all of them being returned and BN wining 6 seats in the process. Could the new party in the offing be done to split the votes for all aspiring candidates? We will only know after the results are known and serious lobbying for MPs are done if the final tally is so close for comfort on both sides of the political divide.

Its a love hate rivalry between Masing /Sng and you wouldn’t see them shaking hands for now unless they take on each other in a parliamentary constituency. Will they shake hands if they crossed paths in Hulu Rejang or Selangau Parliamentary Nomination centre.? hmmm….

Sng is hell bent in ensuring his team contests only the one’s which are mosts likely winnable and the reports of Selangau,Hulu Rajang,Kanowit and Julau and the newspaper reports have got it spot on.

The other two seats in Lubok Antu and Sri Aman are  not James “Proxies” as such and Sng feels that its better to have a foothold in winning a number of seats rather than lose all. Sngs strategists have it all mapped out and its there for the taking says a protem member of the new party.

Sng knows James will be political bad mouthing against him and this extracted quote is a clear indicator,”PRS can deliver all these six seats provided there is no element of sabotage among the component parties. Instead if we all work as a team, PRS can deliver all those six seats,” (January 5th 2012 article)

PRS enemies have already been identified as such and the party will make all preparations to ensure a victory will be achieved at all 6 seats. BN component parties in PBB/SUPP/SPDP will be lending a hand in all the 6 PRS areas and there is no doubt about it as the battle lines are drawn.

A victory for PRS is a victory for BN

PKR”Jangan Lawan Towkay”

It seems that everyway you go at the moment the favourite phrase uttered amongst politicians is,”Remember Jangan Lawan Towkay” It has caught fire in the local political circle in sofar as describing Senior Minister and President of PRS James Masing’s “warning or blemish”

Some people never learn says PKR YB See Chee How as he posted something similar to my wall in FB and in it he said,” Bro,BN can be defeated just by their leaders opening their mouths.”

I was curious and telephoned ADUN Batu Lintang up and what he meant was that it referred to a posting by SUPP Youth SG Wilfred Yap. Its not dissimilar to Masings he said.

He should have just zapped it and try to avoid a backlash plus condemnation, says YB See. But what actually sparked the flurry of activities which left a distasteful feeling in the mouths of some.

Wilfred posted in his personal Facebook,’ The people still don’t understand the power they have in their hands. So vote the BN Government to ensure continuity towards stability and a high income economy.’

So finally SUPP got the opposition to come out fighting but it was only PKR we thought. But looking at the comments which we copied for all to see it has irked many. Be ready SUPP for more gunfire, artillery and mortars thrown at your direction. Wilfred has justs “pissed” of  one too many.

SUPP Cyber troopers be ready to lend a hand..Where are you..??

As a matter of fact most Malaysians especially Sarawakians are still living below poverty line. BN has cheated us for over 50 years, give them another chance to cheat us for another 50 years? NO WAY. Perhaps he’s work his way up to today’s position or the government may have helped him in some way in his conquest. Either way, Malaysians not linked to the BN government in general have worked their arses off to make a living with costs rising. The State BN government and Federal BN government doesn’t even see eye to eye. Najib says Malaysia to be wealthy nation by 2020 whereas Taib said Sarawak to be wealthy state by 2030. Is Sarawak not part of Malaysia? His mind-set, is disappointing and it shows that he is completely out of touch with the people. Bottomline is they still consider Malaysians to be stupid, it’s either them or the other way round.

So much so, they have long forgotten the true spirit of democracy and that the saying “A government by the people, of the people and for the people” is not mere rhetoric. Instead, it is a reminder that the Gov of the day is there to serve us, the common Rakyat.. and not the other way around.

    • Melton Kaisleave them alone and let them savour the final moments of their habitual self gratification because the end of the road for them is just around the corner.we know what we want and its not for them to tell or advice us…they can save the advice and devilish plan for themselves.

    • Wilfred YapAgree with you perfectly but don’t you all think that the people deserve to hear the truth and not half-truths in Pakatan’s ceramahs.

    • Mika’il ChenAfter 50 years, BN cannot even sort out minimum wages and you intend to impress the lot here with economics on achieving high income? Chuck it.

    • Leon LeeWilfred Yap: a very serious allegation, that PR does not speak the truth in Ceramahs .. have you any evidence of wrongdoings? If you do, I’d gladly invite you to publish it out… Or else, your empty rhetoric and slander will no longer hold much water. The political arena has changed much since your honeymoon days … Today the Rakyat is smarter, better informed and is more objective in their evaluations. Show proof, or apologize.

    • Idwar Bakarudin Well Mr Yap, the public do not need a nuclear physicist like me to tell them that you ( and your BN cronies) are talking a lot of crab. FYI, i had been working in Malaysia for more that 30 years…..the high income economy you are talking about is pure imagination…..With BN government, the ordinary honest working citizens are only able to eat “dirt”, but you and the BN cronies are having your own castles and mansions, ..and at the same time , destroying the  environment and the livelihood of ordinary poor rural citizens of this country with your huge dams and smelting plants, etc…. TO all my fellow citizens out there, .. Please vote for PAKATAN RAKYAT !! After about 50 years, please vote for a CHANGE !! GIVE CHANGE a CHANCE.  I rest my case.TQ. Dr Idwar Bakarudin

    • Lynn Cheang Let Wilfred Yap walk his crab talk,  stand in GE13 and lose his deposit.   Higher income? Yes for BN cronies lah! SUPP is history.  We don’t need Chinese representation; we just need honest, god fearing Sarawakians to implement just and fair governance and give help to those  who are marginalised or less priviledged.
