PKR Sarawak Targets N22

November 11, 2009

N22 SEBUYAU (7549) Julaihi Narawi (BN-PBB) incumbent said in 2006 he sees a need for his constituency to have more infrastucture developments in the form of basic amenities like electricity supply and phone lines. There is also an urgent need to make the people of Sebuyau realise the importance of education in raising their living standards.

audie61 has had the benefit of meeting up with the YB of this constituency on several occassions and he has come across as a likeable, reserved and approachable  and works his talk. He has a degree in Literature from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia but come this State election he will once again cross swords with his common enemy.

In the last couple of elections he has withstood the challenge of Mohamad Akek of Keadilan and defeated his opponent with ease. It seems that in the last couple of weeks PKR has stepped up with their activites and has made certain inroads with former PBDS candidate stepping up a notch and up the ante. Former PBDS President and a supporter of PKR Daniel Tajem has even been spent a night in the kampong in providing a much needed boost for the opposition front.

Hornbill unleashed has come out with an article ” Whom shall we trusts.?” Audie61 swung into action and cornered one of those who stood on a PBDS ticket in 1991 against Julaihi. He said that the article is timely but PKR needs to really put things in order if they are serious in turning the bastion of BN over and create even a wave and let alone  a tsunami of some sort.

He further reiterated that there should be in place all the small committees as what PBDS had in its quests in the infamous Ming Court Affair. Don’t forget that PBDS managed to wrestle 15 seats? A PKR stategists in Sarawak is putting in place the persons and the seats which the party hopes to make inroads and give BN more than a HEADACHE.

Anwar should trusts the PKR boys in Sarawak not to let him down this time round. Of course there were a lot of detractors and traitors especially from what we have learnt from the recent Lubok Antu by elections . PKR knows that Sarawak is a huge state and the economics of it all is that a substantial  amount of money is needed to cover the costs of PKR candidates standing against BN.

PKR however needs to really do its ground work and whoever is chosen to face the might of the BN in each constituency needs to  forego personal interests and ego to ensure the party win its allocated seat.

If and when the negative approach of the candidates who are not chosen and close ranks BN will still win big says the formr defeated candidate of N22. If the hierarchy of PKR says that Akek is the candidate I will stand behind him and ensure that Julaihi will not have it easy. If on the otherhand the PKR leadership sees that I am most suited to challenge I hope that Mohamad Akek will stand behind me. Afterall we are now together in the same team to wrestle this seat and unless we join forces Pakatans dream in Sarawak is just a mere HALLUCINATION AND A DISTANT DREAM.

The infighting according to a founder member of PKR needs to stop. He said that eventhough Anwar is giving all his strenght and direction in wrestling the Federal Government and has more or less entrusted it to Baru Bian as Sarawak liason chief Sarawak will only fall  if the Fedral government caves in in the next 13th GE. The battle line  is already drawn and Sarawak PKR needs to buck up or miss the boat when and if tere is a NEW DAWN3as what Anwar preaches.

The dayaks if united under PKR will be a major force and if divided into the various parties like PBB,SUPP,PRS and SPDP will remain forever be disunited. So will Anwar trusts the dayaks to come good he asked…???

The multi racial platform of PKR will be tested to its fullest in the next State elections and PKR leadership needs to look not only at N22 but also the rests of the 70 seats in hand and how to go into battle together with DAP,PAS and SNAP in the next State election. The two party system if approved would be an injection booster as the PLATFORM of a two party system would be in place. Its then up to the people to vote for their choice and no matter who the party fills the bond is an added strenght in itself.

N22 the incumbent YB Julaihi will know that he has his hands full and he will need all his experience to pull through as this battle will be his strongest yet as the opposition candidates are already willing to assist each other and win Sebuyau an add another feather for Anwars leadership. Najib and CM Taib will be watching closely the activities surrounding N22 and they will ensure that the incumbent has got his battle gear and machinery fully oiled.

May 2010 It will be 4 years when the present State Government will be in power. Correct me if I’m a bit naive or must have read the CM’s signal wrong….Those walking in the corridors of power are using all their might and lobbyists tactics of trying to put their”manuk sabong” { fighting cock in Iban} to be considered as an Assistant Minister or Minister.

Surely, the CM is diverting all the attention away as he puts his development plans for the State in place as he prepares his soldiers and army for the next state elections. If the BN soldiers or Generals are so involved in the pursuit of posts its going straight into the enemies Trap.

The trojan horses/whisperers in BN are the causes of too many infighting especially so with SUPP involved in power struggle and legality issues of Special Delegates Conference(SDC) ,PBB,SPDP calm but undercurrents looks very choppy.PRS wounded but picking up to be a stable partner with new faces as YB. Or is it..??

Is the CM going to write his own DEATH WARRANT..? So audie61 asks is there any logic for a major reshuffle. It might just be a cosmetic changes with some additions towards filling up the empty available constituencies which the former Assistant Ministers or Ministers held previously. CM would not for once rock a stable boat but will ensure that it cruises through leisurely.

So my friends out there its definedly food for thought and drink to the brilliance of the man himself and his aides surrounding him. Did I not tell you all that the CM goes through his lists thoroughly at least 7 times before he finalises it.  Someone knows better than the CM does I presume or could he be the holding on to the “FOOLS GOLD”

Sarawak-PBDS”Baru”..???

October 15, 2009

The Political climate  is so fluid that it seems that everyone is rushing to form a new party. It doesn’t matter whether they have the right people/right team as long as the vehicle is ready to be utilised to check the STATE BN in the next state elections.

audie61 has received a number of phone calls and it seems some past leaders are looking into the possibility of using the recognisable defunct identity of “PBDS-Parti Bangsa Dayak Sarawak” by renaming it  Parti Bersatu Democratic Sarawak Baru. Its logical says a political analyst as there are still a lot of sympathisers around who shed a few tears when the former PBDS was wrapped up and deregistered by ROS. If they stop the ‘dayak” word they cannot stop the word “democratic” Makes sense doesn’t it..? Oooh Ai PBDS lagi

A few names were bandied around to audie61 but due to the ripples, sparks and falsehood of political parties mushrooming here and there its our right to protect their identities until like what Affendi Jeman(Protem UMNO Chairman said to audie61 a few days ago,”Let them speculate.Everyone has a right to speculation but if there is , lets wait for an Official announcement. Get to the source and ensure that the story is genuine or else it will be very damaging.”

If it happens that will be following the UMNO way. It was deregistered and later it became UMNO Baru. There are a lot of speculations and even before Pakatan Rakyat Sarawak  was launched it somehow managed hit a MASSIVE ROCK MIDSTREAMwith mosts people turning their backs on the party. One call to audie 61 was,’Are you going to Sibu this weekend for the launching..L.O.L?”

najib ong                  Natasha was sitting for a quiet Sunday lunch when an elderly Chinese politician gave her a tap in the back. He said to Natasha of audie 61,my nephews in Peninsular Malaysia are telling me this,MCA infighting is worse than the H1N1 Pandemic Flu. It is even being felt by the UMNO hierarchy and their CLOAK  OF INVICIBILITY is being THREATENED.. Will this Ah…CHOoooo (Loud Sneeeze) be felt by all the BN component parties in Malaysia. Its just a matter of Time when it will go full scale and they will not be a PATH for a return to glory days says the veteran politician. Great dynasties can fall and BN UMNO will only need to learn from HISTORY to avoid a similar journey…Ah CHOoooooooooooo…

Joey of audie61 has this from a veteran SUPP member as he says that the foundations of the party are shaking again. The Dudong issue will really bring the worms out in the open, if they are not already exposed. Not only that it seems that there will be a reappearance of the Dreaded Team A and Team B which really saw the party going through a BAD TREMOR. If todays newpaper report is anything be ready to expect FIREWORKS VERY SOON.  This report can be read HERE…………………Our earlier reports 1. http://audie61.wordpress.com/2009/08/27/bnsuppkick-in-the-teeth-dush-dush-dush/  2.http://audie61.wordpress.com/2009/08/25/bnsupp-dudong-signboard/                               SUPP will pay the ultimate price if they are UNABLE TO COME TO A COMPROMISE..

Oh No! What else can I do? Cindy has this all wrapped up in this pictorial analysis….Very Happy to Help MCA says Tiong ….Baaaaaaaaaaa

This is the Malaysiakini report

RM1 rental: Tiong feels ‘conned’ by MCA
Andrew Ong

The revelation by a MCA divisional leader that the party owns RM2 billion worth of assets has Bintulu MP and tycoon Tiong King Sing all riled up.This is because the party approached him for help in order to secure the use of eight four-storey shoplots for MCA-owned Tunku Abdul Rahman (TAR) College campus in Penampang, Sabah.Based on the tenancy agreement, TAR College only needs to pay Tiong’s company Wawasan Sdn Bhd a nominal fee of RM1 monthly for all units.

Speaking to Malaysiakini at his office in Petaling Jaya today, Tiong said he had allowed the deal to go through in order to help MCA in its pursuit to provide affordable education.

Now, Tiong is feeling deceived after reading China Press’ report quoting Setiawangsa division MCA head Ho Yoon Ping’s boast that the party had RM2 billion in assets.

Given the party’s financial standings, Ho said it made no sense for the party or its president Ong Tee Keat to seek RM10 million in donations from Tiong.

”In a way, I have found out that I have been cheated,” said Tiong, “They are so rich (with) RM2 billion in assets and they tell me they are poor.”

“When they came to see me, they said that MCA had no money and couldn’t pay me (rent) or it would be charged on the students. I said ‘okay’, especially since the economy was not good at the time.

“I wanted to help reduce cost for the student and at the same time help to promote education.

“Do you think that by giving, I’m begging Utar (Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman) for a doctorate?” asked Tiong.

Tiong vs Ong

Adding insult to injury was the fact that Tiong’s company spent RM200,000 to refurbish the buildings before they were handed over.

The tenancy agreement, sighted by Malaysiakini, showed that the deal was inked in 2007 and is set to expire in six months.

”No need to worry, it is still a long way to go,” said Tiong, when asked if he would still extend the tenancy agreement based on status quo.

He said he will take time to consider if the building should be rented to other causes.

Meanwhile, Tiong said he was not trying to find fault with MCA members who are trying to protect their party president Ong Tee Kiat (left).

However, Tiong said that if he is hit with accusations, he had the right to reply as in Ho’s case.

“I urge all the members. Please stop it. Let me (slug it out) with your president,” he said. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kXkf143d7-E

Hmmm..Bad to Worse..BN Headache!!

Our Sabah correspondents Bugi Wijaya and Cindy Bernadette files this story from the Land Below the Wind:-

While the main stream media and bloggers in Peninsular has news of the recent anti-ISA demonstration, the media and the public in Sabah has other topics on their mind.

It is the talk of H1N1 that has hog the coffeeshop talks and rumours has it that there is a serious outbreak of the virus with a number of schools being closed or on the alert.  There are instances of parents who has not sent their children to schools for fear of the outbreak.

A check in local pharmacies shops has revealed a sold out of hand sanitizer liquid and stocks for masks are running low.

In the aftermath of the anti-ISA demo in the nation capital, Audie61 team went out to gather some feedback from the general public.

According to Ronnie who is a political analyst Sabah is not a stranger to demonstration.  The most negative impact was in the 80s when then opposition PBS were in power in the state.  Everyone from that era can recall the destruction to private properties and civil unrest especially in the Karamunsing area where business and warehouse were affected and burnt down.

People are generally fed of demonstration.  They will just wait patiently for the general elections should they wish to change things.

Meanwhile, the general perception of the public is that it is better to wait than to demonstrate.

Sabah is enjoying growth and development since the Berjaya era and under current Chief Minister Musa Aman the state financial balance has returned to the black.  With Sabah and Sarawak being the fixed deposit for the ruling Barisan Nasional in Malaysia, it is honeymoon period especially for Sabah.

Currently, it has more Federal Minister than Sarawak and UMNO Vice President Shafie Afdal has the potential to go all the way and may one day be Sabah’s first Prime Minister.

However, while the top leaders of BN in the state are dedicated and committed to their work, there are also a lot to be desired of some “so-called” leaders.  But with the opposition Pakatan Rakyat and Yong Teck Lee’s SAPP each going their own way, BN is here to stay for a long time.

 What say you?

Updated 28th July :- Sms sent to Secretary General of PRS- Wilfred Nissom.Thank God and Glad there is no burning of PAS Flags. We are better than that.

Updated 28th July 9.30am- Headlines “Gathering to burn PAS flags put off, says PRS man. The full story can be seen in Todays Borneo Post Article page 12. Was this our timely intervention with our article and thus someone politically connected with the Prime Minister’s department raised the ALARM BELLS. Thank God or else all Hell would have broken loose.

Last Friday before I posted the article on ” Wanita PKR Sarawak- A New Dawn” I asked PRS Batu Lintang Wanita Chief and Treasurer are they ready if chosen at an instant to stand for the coming elections. Of course, they said we are in politics not only to serve and fight for the party but also groomed to take over. In my article I mentioned ,” PRS has yet to field any wanita candidate but it is speculated by PRS members that the current Wanita chief Doris Brodie is being groomed to be a candidate. How ironic it is today she seems to grab the headlines and suddenly appears? Something is brewing and are they any connections to the New Dawn?

This is what she said in the Sunday Borneo Posts,’

Expressing anger over Hadi’s remarks about Batang Ai voters recently, Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) women chief Doris Sophia Brodie said yesterday the remarks reflected the type of leaders PAS and PR have.

“Obviously, PAS and Pakatan are not ethnic-sensitive, thus they can forget about making their existence felt in Sarawak especially in Dayak dominant areas. On top of that, it is such remarks that stir racial tension,” she said.

“I think what Hadi said should hit the nail squarely for Dayak opposition leaders. Clearly, Pakatan and PAS do not have them or the Dayak at heart, to them the Dayaks are just to make the numbers and their laughing stock.

In this respect, she said the PRS women of Batang Ai, Simanggang and Bukit Begunan divisions would come out in full force to support PRS Batang Ai youth in its plan to burn PAS flags in Engkilili town todayk.

We are at bests trying to STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM THIS ISSUE AS POSSIBLE. However,we know that a fire would not have started  if the sparks are not lighted.Sarawak Wanita Chiefs from PKR/DAP/PAS/SNAP should not only stay silent on this issue as the Wanita Chief from PRS  has already lashed out. Recently joined PKR former MCA leader Chua Jui Meng would be telling you all,” A Politician is not a Politician if she/he keeps quiet.”

We received a number of smses but this from a senior a dayak leader and a former high ranking civil officer which will be open to your interpretations ,”Mrng bro.what Hadi meant was, dyks hv cawat political mentality.f u say dyks r well clothed 2 refer 2 hadi’s statement, once again hadi n d rest will laugh at n deride even phd educated dyk pol leaders ENDA NEMU RETI JAKO SINDIR“

Burning FLAGS please, please, please I don’t buy that. It’s like Hooliganism in football where rival Fans taunt each other by burning flags on the terraces. Who has come out with this idea.? This is POLITICS AND NOT FOOTBALL.The person who has even initiated this idea let alone carry it out should be TAKEN AWAY and PUT IN JAIL AS THIS IS NOTORIOUSLY EVIL THOUGHT.

audie61 seriously take this as an attempt to instigate a TRULY EXPLOSIVE situation. It’s uncalled for even by PRS Batang Ai Youth. PM ’s department and the authorities concerned should seriously look into this very  MINDLESS AND THOUGHTLESS  POLITICAL ACT.

IN Malaysia we have enough problems with death and we do not need our political strategists from any political party be it BN/PAKATAN to even think of this. This will eventually lead to  even worse scenario. It only takes someone to singlehandedly take it a step higher,”TORCH PAS HEADQUARTERS” Then what will happen?

PM Najib we do not need to be reminded of the Brixton,Guildford,Manchester nor Liverpool riots where cities just burn through the night for seven to ten nights in the 80’s. (150 buildings damaged,30 burned down)

We say as always,”Politics is politics, but do not take it overboard and it will turn ugly and the whole country suffers. The country is already suffering economically and we do not need another FLAG BURNING THOUGHT to aggravate the precarious and fluid political situation.

The internet blogs and main stream media has got it all. The views, the reasons the implementation date and the opinions from all academicians, elected representatives and parents.

Did anyone ask the main player and conduct a poll from the affected ones that is the students? Obviously not as they do not have a CHOICE really as they are caught in the RAT RACE of coming tops and worry about whats in front of them especially ‘What are the correct employment .”

Now it seems that in 2012 when its implemented those who intend to enter ‘foreign universities” they will face obstacles not unless they can afford to study overseas anytime with their “parents wealth” Is this really good for our country..?

I would very much want to go indepth into this subject as 31 years ago  I was also caught in the lasts of the Senior Cambridge System where those who came after us were all under the Malaysian Education syllables. We were the lasts of the Common Entrance,Junior Cambridge,Senior Cambridge and now what.

Academecians has advocated that English taught from primary school right up to university makes good sense in our long term goal to produce a bilingual or even trillingual citizenship that can compete and COMPETE WELL in the International arena. What does appear though is that English being the norm our local graduates will face unseen challenges and difficulties in making the grades especially in Foreign Firms.

This was told to me by the Sarawak Teachers’s Union President William Ghani who said many parents are in unison especially when the whole PICTURE IS PLACED IN FRONT OF THEM.

Not sounding racist in remarks or belittling any race he told audie61.The Chinese can work in Taiwan,Hong Kong,China and Singapore. The Indians can work in Sri Lanka,Pakistan, India and where can the Dayaks or Bumiputera work after they completed their Malay science and maths. Don’t tell me in Indonesia .?

There is too much experimentation and flip-flops and U turns. Does Harvard,Cambridge or Oxford change according to whims and fancies? Just look at football as an example:-

In 1996 the J league Association has to learn from our Malaysian semi-pro league. Today Japan football is world class and many of their players are household names overseas. Where is Malaysia Football..?

Education is beyond political divide and as such English should be viewed as the one language that opens doors to International commerce, trade, industry, communications science and technology.

So even Mahathir does not have very kind words on this subject as he said,”The future of Young Malaysians will find difficulty keeping abreast of developments in the scientific field.”

A concerned parent and a VOTER in the Malaysian democratic system was even more blunt,” Ask all the elected representatives,YBs and MPs ,top ranking officials to send their sons and daughters like eveyone else to Sekolah Rendah,Sekolah Menengah,Kolej dan Universiti di Malaysia.

Don’t send them to all the elite schools. Will they do it..?For better or worse..? Don’t think they will as they will only think the bests for their own and forget about the others. The INNOCENT ALWAYS PAYS THE PRICE. So who are we to blame..??

Many parents are looking at overseas and those who have the SCIENTIFIC BRAINS will not even consider coming back. Wasn’t they a call for many intellectual and calibre Malaysians to come back to Malaysia with many promises during Tun Mahathir’s administration? Are they all back..?

When we were young our grandfathers would sit us down and look straight at our eyes,”Nobody can take away what is in our BRAINS. Today it is called Intellectual Property and In Olden China these people are feared and casts aside or put away for good. Has Malaysia just CHECKED IN or the ruling government is so afraid of their own shadows. I sincerely hope I am wrong and I LOVE MALAYSIA and do not want it to see it lagging behind if our future genrations are handicapped and losts their edge.

We say as always,”All of us need to play our part in assuring EVERY Malaysian stays competitive . Lets ensure that our Children do not suffer for our actions…

52

This breaking news in the world of soccer would have everyone asking,”Is this really for real..?? Michael Owen a Liverpool goal scoring machine joining arch rivals Manchester United. A phone call to a Liverpool fan and he said,” He has seen his glory days while a Manchester United fan said,” Alex Ferguson always brings out the bests in a player.”

This is the extract from soccernet,”Michael Owen looks set for a surprise move to Manchester United, after having a medical on his knee on Thursday. The striker will then have a full medical on Friday ahead of signing a pay-as-you-play deal with the Premier League champions.

So the smses keeps coming in to audie61,”Whats the latest on Entulu taking on James Masing.” Its all quiet and calm before the storm and if Michael Owen joins MU who will say,” I told you so...(MU) Manek Urai”  It is also similar to saying Anwar is ready to join back UMNO….”

We say as always,”There are always surprises round the corner and anything is possible especially in Malaysia….hik hik hik..
