Friends will stick together through thick and thin. In Politics we know that a friend of my friend is my friend. An enemy of my enemy is my enemy. An enemy of my friend is my enemy. In real life this is not true but in politics we have to accept the fact that this happens. An academician in historical politics was quick to point out that the ‘Sarawak politics have come a full circle and this new generation of politicians are now more accomodating to each other. PKR with its multi racial concept is very acceptable.

Malaysiakini with this report that http://www.malaysiakini.com/news/93060 Anwar to tell all at PKR congress. Well, that will be attended by 2,000 delegates from 160 divisions are expected to attend the three-day congress from Nov 28. Anwar Ibrahim is expected to explain why the Pakatan Rakyat plan fell flat to take over the federal government. But the attention is now, which is tomorrow where PKR will obviously welcome more members and supporters to its fold.

It is learnt that many members of a Dayak-based state BN component party will also be handing over their application forms to  PKR advisor Anwar Ibrahim during a 300-table dinner organised by ‘Friends of PKR’ in Sibu on Saturday. Moreover, Malaysiakini also learnt that Beginda Minda, the ex-publicity chief of  PRS president Dr James Masing-led Balleh division who made the news recently with his call on Chief Minister Abdul Taib Mahmud and Deputy Chief Minister Alfred Jabu to resign, and his supporters are also expected to join PKR also at the function.

The bottom line according to Chairman of Party Rakyat Sarawak Nangka Division it seems that many PRS members from the Rajang Basin are expected to leave enbloc and join PKR. It seems too that his deputy is very much involved with the organisation. According to his informed source his deputy’s services were prompted by a certain Councillor who was also instructed. Even a phone call to a PRS divisional secretary from Kuching had this response,” PRS organising, are you going to the dinner in Sibu..?” According to reliable sources a number of BN councillors are expected in the gathering. These councillors according to the source are not expected to be reappointed at years end. Nothing to lose says one councillor.

BN/PRS are not stupid says the divisional chairman and they will demand answers and this might even lead to a show cause letter to his deputy and others from his division who are involved and dismissal from the party. PRS secretary general who contacted audie61 when he heard of all this speculations and rumours said very simply,”Macam-macam” and we will take the necessary actions after the dinner.

The Chairman who was really bothered went on to say,”It seems that we have been made used and we are not a running dog.”  Let’s be clear that PRS Nangka  division has NOTHING to do with it and the deputy has done it in his own capacity. He added too that ,”This is Politics, don’t go looking for trouble, there are a lot out there.” Now,we are seen as detractors to BN and if this goes on we are not even worth a cent. How very true as I try to calm him down. If we want RESPECT this is not the way to do it, THIS IS CLEARLY BETRAYAL AND FALLING FOR SOMEONES SELFISH AGENDA.

Even some PKR members are not buying this idea of all this people joining enbloc. How many out of this total will be there when PKR really is in trouble..? 100 out of 3000..? It does make sense as this has been proven that most of the rural based members belongs to a number of political parties. Are they just changing shirts as and when they like.? Of course we welcome them and its CAPITAL for PKR Sarawak’s agenda. Gabriel Adit independant Assemblyman joining of PKR is a huge boost though as as Gabriel represents the FIRST DAYAK YB IN THE PKR FOLD. Of course its a first step for many to join PKR as they say a journey of a THOUSAND MILES starts with the first step.

The next interesting question would be what actions are going to be taken against the PRS members who will be at the dinner tomorrow the 15th? PRS President Datuk Sri James Masing and his supreme council will meet in Bintulu on November 22nd and the agenda would obviously discuss this matter. it is of absolute importance that SOMETHING CONCRETE needs to be done and for this to be addressed. PRS has been badly shaken with all this political activities surrounding the party and calmness needs to be restored.

PKR will be treating this NEW FOUND FRIENDS with an eye casting SIDEWAYS on how they will play their roles as members of PKR. The party does not need selfish agendas to fulfill individual goals but needs to see far and beyond whether PKR can be a PARTY OF THE FUTURE…..
