YB Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr.) Alfred Jabu and Dato Sri Senator Empiang Jabu with YB Dr. Johnicol Rayong (Engkilili) & spouse

In Politics there say there is no “middle” road. But that’s not usually the case. He is a BN man at heart says a staunch supporter of Dr Johnnicol Rayong partyless State Assemblymanfor Engkilili.Malaysiakini report http://www1.malaysiakini.com/news/92781 had earlier quoted ,” saying that it was normal for Parti Keadilan Rakyat to eye the seat as it was an opposition party. But for another BN component party to do likewise knowing the seat belonged to PRS is “most unfortunate”. What did he mean..? He was taking a swipe at Dr.Johnicol Rayong for being the “perfect partner” of Jabu’s agenda.

But why was Rayong involved? Simple: After being sacked from SNAP, Rayong has become partyless. He applied to join Sarawak Progressive Democratic Party (SPDP) together with Aaron Dagang, Jawah Gerang and Gabriel Adit, but was opposed by other members of the BN. Rayong then applied to join SUPP last year, but again his application was opposed by PRS.Now he looks to PBB leaders like Alfred Jabu and Douglas Uggah to help him join BN in exchange for introducing the senior civil servant to the Batang Ai constituents.

One would say if it applies to Gabriel Adit the same must also apply to Johnicol. Don’t say this is different. James Masing mentioned in a national publication,” No Barisan Nasional component party could accept Adit as a member because the latter had fought against the coalition.” A political analyst said,You cannot switch on and Just switch off” The voters nowadays have already implanted in them “microchips” which is virtually impossible to be erased from their heads. 90% of studies shows that the young people’s minds have already been made up and the present political climate of the world is the VOGUE WORD”CHANGE.”

A simple analogy would be ‘Every morning we use Colgate to brush our teeth and we buy it from the same supermarket in the neighboorhood. Suddenly this entrepreneur comes up knocking at our door and sells the same Colgate. Why would we buy..? He says he will DELIVER it to our door as soon as we call no matter what time of the day or night.” Are we willing to buy just for a  CHANGE. ? Same colgate but different approach.  In a telephone interview with PKR Legal advisor See Chee How he says it does help the PKR momentum of giving the State BN a “headache” Hmmm worth THINKING….

As for Johnicol Rayong, Chee How said,” No Political backbone,A Political Discard” Don’t stand on an opposition ticket and after winning you declare you are BN YB. The information on the ground is not favourable for Johnnicol and he is going to lose badly if he stands on again on BN ticket. His voters will be deserting him and he will be a ONE TERM Assemblyman.

The ball is on the feet of Dr.Johnicol and he will need to make a quick decision. Will he be there on Saturday the 15th for the Sibu dinner? It is expected to be attended by party adviser Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and a police permit has already been obtained. Barring any last minute hitches the dinner is to be attended by over 3000 people. The organiser Munan Laja tonight according to our source had a fright and he was notified that the Rajang Port Authority Chairman needs to utilise the same venue for a function. He was agitated and it seems that the “BULLY” word is again being uttered. So Dr.Johnicol it seems that you have to make that choice. Voted out or Bullied Out its the peoples choice……

I really feel very sorry for this YB Dr Johnnicol. He knows very well that as a stand-alone politician, he will not last long and neither can he goes far and may indeed be forced to join the others who had been categorised as single-term YBs. He is very active on the ground no doubt. But for how long when the pocket is weak and there is seemingly no other resources at his disposal?
My advice to YB Dr Johnnicol is – JOIN PR – and see yourself fielded again come GE-13. Gain acceptance into the BN fold and you are finished. You will not be given the chance to stand under the BN ticket, in fact your name will not even appear in their potential candidate list.
