Anwar,”Responsibility and Discipline..Its Working.??”~ ref Malaysiakini

The new trend,First”Heckle, Disturbance,Protests”Then walk out,ordered out or suspended. No,no,no its the order of the day as its the menu cooked up by our legislators in both Parliament and State assemblies. This seems to be a different kind of politics which are not taught in the established universities around the world. Anwar what is going on..? 

Firstly in this Malaysiankini report the PM fell short of saying,”childish,indiscipline like cry babies” http://www.malaysiakini.com/news/92541. Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi chided the opposition for the ruckus they created yesterday while his deputy Najib Abdul Razak was winding up the debate on the 2009 Budget. Now,now,now its a huge political uplift for the BN in that the PM has described the opposition’s walkout as akin to shirking from the responsibility entrusted to them by the people. ”The opposition walkout is merely walking away from their responsibilities.”

According to a university lecturer he says,”Desperate Times does call for Desperate measures but acting like children does not work.” The legislators are supposed to be adults and in the social analysis we are showing to the young a different approach which is confrontational to say the least.” The MPs and YBs he said are in Parliament as they have been voted in by the People and they should be inside the house FOR THE PEOPLE to listen,debate,criticize and can even shout at the top of their voices in a Parliamentarian way. The mentality of our Legislators is at rock bottom and to me its “KAMPUNG STYLE“.  We might as well send in the ARMY if the legislators dont know how to discipline themselves. At least they will be order as the Army follows the CHAIN OF COMMAND. 

There are ways to have and make a protests and Im sure the Speakers of the house are and will not be too much if our Assemblyman or Parliamentarians follow the procedures. We want our YBs to use the correct approach to make certain protests. Afterall the YBs are the Peoples Representatives and as such the people expects their YBS to be guided by the principles of being the VOICE for them.

In the Sarawak DUN (PKR Padungan) Dominique Ng was ordered out yesterday by the DUN Speaker Asfia for not tucking in his shirt. Ng had been spotted not tucking his shirt since the first day of the sitting and he did so to protest Chong Chieng Jin’s (DAP-Sentosa) suspension from the Dewan. Asfia said,”I’ve heard and seen you.I order you to leave the dewan and dewan precinct. He said Ng would be be barred from the sitting for as long as he remained that way. As Ng was leaving after being shouted at by BN YBs with,” Padungan Keluarlah! Cepat Keluarlah! We dont need your publicity stunt! In school also have to follow regulations and rules” Ng said,”Thank you Tuan Speaker for chasing me out” Asfia replied “Thank you for going out”

Met outside the dewan He said,” the rakyat’ outside the assembly were ‘listening” He said it was the hearts and minds of the people he must gain instead. Is that so YB Dominique? There are other ways to protests instead of going against the decorum. Even Beginda Minda who was interviewed by audie 61 said ,”TAK ADA CARA LAIN UNTUK PROTESTS KAH..? We don’t need to be thrown out,we can even get the Keadilan boys to stage a protests carrying placards,banners,distributing brochures etc etc outside before the DUN starts. What use if you are outside? I thought we are following OBAMA ‘Change” he said.

A local chinese tabloid had YB Chong saying about YB Dominique,”this is not the way to get expelled” A close aide of YB Dominique said YB was protesting as YB Chong was denied democracy as he represents his people. Even though both of them are in different opposition boats they will reach the destination together and not try to capsize each other boats. There has been Problems before BUT Past differences should not be brought up as this is a different issue altogether. Of course BN will try to create a rift and try to make it worse than it seems. We shall see says the aide.

Meanwhile an SPDP Youth Exco said that all YBs from both houses should have enough discipline and be responsible to their profession as a politician. A PKR member was quick to point out that all YBs must not shun their responsibilites to their constituents and must ensure that the countrys political democratic system is not sacrificed. 

The walk out,ordered out and today in this malaysiakini report http://www.malaysiakini.com/news/92598 DAP parliamentarians Fong Po Kuan (Batu Gajah) and Chong Chieng Jen (Bandar Kuching) were suspended from the Dewan Rakyat for the rest of the day for disobeying Speaker Pandikar Amin Mulia. Could Najib be right when he said ,”It’s all planned by the opposition”..?? Its up to Anwar to lead his team as the Captain and not to be shown too many RED CARDS as it will not serve its purpose. The people knows how to judge and they will VOTE their assemblyman or MPs now. This is not the 60’s or 70’s where information to the ground takes time to disseminate.

They will be different opinions and different school of thoughts on this subject but we say that NO MATTER WHAT THERE MUST BE CERTAIN RESPONSIBILTY AND DISCIPLINE AS AN ELECTED REPRESENTATIVE.  If not a Malaysian Political career will always be despised.
