Priority Highway after the Promises of RM1 Billion by PM

On May 2nd audie61 in one of the earliest articles posted the heading:Bottleneck Highway to Mambong RM$243 million. Then on 9th June the Malaysiakini report http://www.malaysiakini.com/news/84196 the day which the PM was scheduled to come to Sarawak a question was posted on the fuel prices. Today nearly 6 months have passed there is a financial crisis. When Abdullah came everyone was asking will Sarawak get RM$ 1Billion goodies? What do you think? 

Two days ago, the Finance Minister and DPM Najib has announced in this Malaysiakini report http://www.malaysiakini.com/news/92438 announced a RM7 billion stimulus package to bolster the economy in face of a global financial crisis. Obviously this has not come unnoticed by the ADUNS at the Sarawak State Assembly August house sitting. A state ADUN (BN-Batu Kawa) asked for extra funds from the Ministry of Infrastucture Development and Communication as in his constituency the people are complaining bitterly about road congestion. Moreover the DAP ADUN for Pending Violet has also harped on the subject and with the ‘mood’ the country is in the BN will not chance anymore not to deliver to WHAT HAS BEEN EARLIER BUDGETTED and PLANNED FOR. 

The Minister in charge Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Alfred Jabu said that his side is aware of the need for this and measures would be taken to apply for the planning approval and upgrading. It is must be noted that  TOP PRIORITY must be given to Mambong-Sejinkat road to divert the traffic going to the Pending Industrial Estate and Senari Port from entering the Kuching Central business district and to ease traffic congestion along Kuching-Serian road. The Ministry has to take quick actions as YB Tan said that he has been had too many Complaints. 

audie 61 made a telephone call and interviewed Councillor Melson Chai of Padawan District council who echoed what YB Tan has spoken in the DUN. He further added that the Ministry of Works,State Planning Unit and the authorities concerned should seriously expediate and ensure that this Bottleneck is solved. We have losts so many seats in and around Kuching and if nothing is done the TASKS of recapturing the seats for BN from DAP would be SLIM . This delays should stop now and the funds that was made readily available when the project was awarded be channelled back for immediate implementation. A bottleneck with no immediate solution is a cause for concern says the councillor.  

We say,the Rakyat are the masters in this  political scenario. It is wise to keep them happy on a good journey to and from work instead of them putting their frustrations in the Ballot boxes. So when the Minister incharge of this ministry Jabu has spoken and has considered TOP PRIORITY to ease the traffic congestion it gives more confidence for the people to appreciate the government. It is all well too for the state that the DPM Najib has indeed kept to his word that he sees a need to implement Sarawak development programmes especially infrastructure,rural electrification and water supply. It augurs well for Najib as he prepares to lead the country forward when he takes over as the Premier in March.  

“Euphoria of CHANGE” ~ ref Malaysiakini

“Yes we can and yes we did” the cheering crowds had their wish fulfilled as in this Malaysiakini report http://www.malaysiakini.com/news/92482 ,” carried ‘Change has come to America’. These were the words uttered by Barrack Obama as he addressed the United States for the first time as the president-elect.

“The road ahead will be long. Our climb will be steep. We may not get there in one year or even one term, but America – I have never been more hopeful than I am tonight that we will get there. “I promise you – we as a people will get there.

It was suppose to be a Huge tidal wave and an euphoria that hit the United States as many senior political advisors had predicted but the impact has already been created and imprinted in peoples minds. What can Sarawak learn from all this? Are the dayaks ready for the evolution,revolution and now volution? Is it a popular vote or shift for change and a need for a new dawn in Sarawak says a dayak graduate in political science. He was apparently referring to dayaks looking at their hearts now to campaign and no more using the ‘old ways’ and looking at America for ‘hope’ ’change’ and work towards a new cause.

I said,are you sure he did fail? Did he fail in your eyes only? Did he not serve the people until his health failed him? He created you and today you are a member of a party is because of him? Different times,different leaders will emerge and his time was not the RIGHT TIME. My late grandfather told me,” If you join politics and you forget your own people and your close ones you are not fit to be in politics.” There is a lot of hardwork to penetrate the mindset of all party members who only want to use the party’s PLATFORMS to ENRICH THEMSELVES.”

Obama knows the mood of the country and he spent not only the two years to build his foundation to make it to the WHITE HOUSE. He is born into the needs of the people and Sarawak YBs needs to look into themselves and see whether they are right for the State of Sarawak or just another ya,ya,ya or aye aye aye assemblyman. Did they not teach you in school,college or universities on CONCEPTS and the THEATER. Or are you just going to be just another SIDEKICK. Look into the mirror in the morning and question yourself…???

The euphoria of not only in America,Australia, Thailand and the 308 in Malaysia is for REAL. It should not be an excuse, ” WE WERE NOT READY” but it should read positively “I AM NOT AFRAID ,AS I HAVE SERVED AND HELPED MY PEOPLE IN THE CONSTITUENCY.” The voters will be ready for the changes and the country will see a new landscape after the State Elections. BN and Pakatan its how you win over the new breed of VOTERS.They will vote for change and no more over FEAR or VICTIMISED.Let’s be REALISTIC and the scenario will turnout to be just like that…….”The dice has left the hands”
