PKR news is everywhere in Malaysiakini. In Sarawak it seems for PKR to make the english daily’s,”It must be HOT”. The Secretary General of PKR who was in Kuching made a strong statement and for Borneo Post to even contemplating putting the story up the Editor must have the courage. Is someone else looking at his chair soon…?

BN In Sarawak has changed their stance? The information is for all the rakyat and seems to be very fair so they say and the blanketing of opposition news is a thing of the pasts. The chinese daily’s are more open in this sense but the english media are more reserved. If only, there is 100% press freedom then all political parties will be on level playing field. Just a thought..!!! Will it ever Happen..? Anwar (picture)should acknowledge BP as a liberal minded paper if they give him and his party PKR the coverage.

BN MPs will jump ship: PKR sec-gen
By Samuel Aubrey

KUCHING: Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) is still confident of forming the new federal government by Sept 16, saying yesterday that the Barisan Nasional members of parliament will jump ship.

An adamant PKR secretary general Datuk Sallehuddin Hashim said these crossovers would take place amid the latest allegations of sodomy against its de facto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

“If he (Anwar) can get (two opposition parties) DAP and PAS to work together, what more to say about his ability to get MPs from Sabah and Sarawak and even Umno to join us?

“There are indeed MPs who want to cross over. Of course, our supporters are impatient for us to make it to Putrajaya (the nation’s administrative city) but Datuk Seri Anwar had said this is not a ‘main-main’ (light) matter and cannot be rushed,” he said at a press conference here yesterday.

State PKR liaison chief Dominique Ng, who is also the sole PKR elected representative in Sarawak, was present at the press conference along with several other state PKR leaders.

Yesterday was Sallehuddin’s first working visit here as PKR secretary general since he took over from Selangor Menteri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim in early April.

While in town he met with state PKR leaders on an upcoming seminar on ‘Leadership towards Realising New Hope for PKR Grassroots Leaders in Sarawak’.

Anwar is expected to fly here to declare open the seminar on July 26, and a large rally is being planned to welcome him.

Sarawak is also the second state after Selangor to organise such seminar.

During the press conference, Sallehuddin also spoke on the latest political developments in the country including the announcement by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi that he would hand over the post of Umno president and BN chairman to his deputy Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak by mid 2010.

“The announcement was expected,” he said, adding that the successor should have been the people’s choice and not one handpicked by those in power.

He also hoped that the motion of no-confidence against Prime Minister filed by PKR president Datin Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail at the Parliament on Thursday, will be allowed in the Dewan Rakyat next Monday.

“Ezam versus Anwar”

July 12, 2008

Malaysiakini portal http://www.malaysiakini.com/news/86010 has this headlined “Ezam warns Anwar:I will reveal your secrets.” “If you link me to a political conspiracy over the sodomy report, I will divulge your secrets,” Ezam declared.

All along we thought he was just the “Trojan Horse..?” It seems Anwar is being attacked from all angles and its high time the DAP and PAS leaders do something to deflect the “heat” from your Saudara Anwar. There is more when according to Bernama, Ezam said he would divulge all he knew about the PKR de facto leader although it would bring disgrace to his children and family as he also wanted to defend his dignity after talks claiming that he received millions of ringgit to join Umno. Really kah..? The arrows are really being pointed and aiming at the leader even before he makes his way to the castle.(Parliament September 16th)

Much as I want to write I leave it all to you readers out there to make your own interpretations or assumptions on this Ezam guy. For me,just let Ezam do what he feels like he wants to do as in the corporate world there is a saying,”Rule No. 1. Who is the Boss…?” hehehe

Rahmah Ghazali and P Tarani of Malaysiakini filed a report http://www.malaysiakini.com/news/85966 headlined “Snitch”:Anwar demands RM100 mil apology. What has been going on the last 24 hours we have seen the ACA going all out and using their new found powers in going after the Director-General,several datuks in the Visa foreign workers probe. Good, we say as PM must have been informed by his close political strategists to get on with the reforms or else you will feel the wrath of the people and be seen as weak.

In my earlier writeups I mentioned that the Italian and English topboys will use all their might against   “rats“. Politics I have always say is not “dirty’ but the there are some who uses it “no holds barred and dirty ways” to achieve the desired results.    Anwar demanded that Home Minister Syed Hamid retract, publicly apologise and pay RM100 million for calling him a ‘tukang lapor’ (snitch) for the United States. Syed has 48 hours to respond.

Well ‘Snitch” “Rats” “Smellies” its a way to corner someone. The late MGG Pillai (bless his soul) told me at a lunch meeting about 5 years ago that in Malaysia everyone loves to go to court especially when it involves ”defamation of character.” So that proves it ,don’t you think? It hurts right down to the vessels in the heart but to me the spin miesters are at work and there has to be a fall guy in this. You see Anwar is seeking an apology and immediate retraction of all the words or the minister must be prepared to face the legal repercussions. Who would not take this oppurtunity to clear one’s name..? You would to, wouldn’t you..

WhY “Rat race and dawning of a New Era”..? In 1977 a Seven piece band from Coventry which started of as “Automatics” embarked into the music industry with their infectious mixture of ska, reggae and punk. That was the time in England where racial tensions were at its highest and the bands came together to try to diffuse the situations with mixed white and black members. They changed their names to “Specials AKA” They hit the music industry with songs like”gangsters”rat race”too much too young” “ghost town”many more and also “Dawning of a New Era”.

They played to packed houses but what made them was not so much the hip of their music but the messages of social, economy and political well being for the country at the time. Britain was facing unemployment, high inflation rates, housing woes, economic downturn, racial tensions.(and it did blow up in April 11th 1981 into the Brixton riots one of the most serious riots of the 20th century in London and it affected also a hosts of other British cities) The Specials tried but music or concepts helps only to a certain extend but it is the legislators in Parliament who must WALK THE TALK“.

We in Malaysia do not want to be faced with all this economical downturns, unemployment, social, political problems as they will escalate to a boiling point. .The increased image of work as a “rat race” in modern times has led many to question their own attitudes to work and seek a better alternative; a more harmonious Work-life balance. Many believe that long work hours, unpaid overtime, stressful jobs, time spent commuting, less time for traditional family life, has led to a generally unhappier workforce/population unable to enjoy the benefits of increased economic prosperity and a higher standard of living. We also know that the trouble with the rat race even if you win, you’re still a rat.

The dirty linen being thrown at each other by all the political big wigs does no good to the country’s image. I so happened to be in the vicinity of Brixton,London as a student during my time in England and I did not like WHAT I SAW. Politicians should be deliberating on that platform given to you by the rakyat to see to  all the country’s needs and addressed whether it is economy, social, housing, employment and welfare.

Anwar and Syed please focus on the rakyats issues and be gentleman and clear the names calling like two great and good gentleman. Even in the bible if I may,”If someone brings a lawsuit against you and take you to court,do your best to settle the dispute before you get to court.

Malaysia has to outmanoeuvre many obstacles and as the “Specials AKA” says unless there is a compromise amongst the parties we will not see’The Dawning of a New Era.” or Malaysia will be hard hit with all the negativities and it will turn into a “GHOST town” I certainly agree….don’t you.?
