Malaysiakini  portal has this headlines :- Are we sick of Politics.? We certainly will be if everything that we do are politicised to the fullest. Read it here http://www.malaysiakini.com/news/85734. Anyway going away from it all I was invited to a late afternoon “roti canai and teh tarik” at a cafe called Maju Jaya by a few of my PRS divisional wanita members. (Tightening our belts)

They said,”You know what Boss,Ya ! remember our breakfast meeting.” hmmm…tsk tsk trying to catch a breath. Yup, the railway from Lundu to Lawas so what is happening? It’s not linking North to the South of Sarawak. Its been hijacked and CM has just announced that its from Similajau in Bintulu Division and Tanjung Manis in Mukah Division. Taib even said the railway would facilitate logistics growth in the 320km regional corridor and its a cheaper alternative compared with the present mode of using cargo trucks. How like that..? We thought we would suggest this when we are Assemblywomen. Well,at least..

There is more oh yea. hit me with it..”without revealing the cost” of the railway project, Taib said its development would go on beyond 2020. Taib was speaking in his key note address in a three-day conference on the theme “Sarawak Corridor Development: Reshaping Human Talents for the Future” in Bintulu. So apparently someone has been Evesdropping.

Taib also added that divisional residents and district officers in the state would need to work together in shaping the minds of the people within their jurisdictions to ensure they get maximum benefits from the development of the corridor project. Will we get the maximum benefit..? Who will get the contracts..? Don’t tell me …your guess is as good as mine..

If its not politics its of course development and other interesting places to eat and what to eat. Wanita members are also very keen to talk about the latest fashion and also one eagerly awaiting news that is the arrival date of Angela Jolie’s baby. Why..? no need for me to answer this one. So are you all sick of political news or what..?

Just a note to the CM by the way if we had the Lundu to Lawas railway line we would stare at the countryside, meet new friends, relax and destress ourselves by not worrying over the price of petrol… you should know what this all means.(PWS)……….

On behalf of all of us in the Sarawak region we would like to extend our heartiest congratulations for being the most visited news website in the country. We know that our good friend Tony Thien will be very proud of this award. Visit the site for more http://www.malaysiakini.com/news/85773

Meanwhile, we were made to understand too that Malaysiakini received its first batch of 10 official press accreditation badges yesterday. It just goes to show that this is not only the first time that the internet media have been issued the official press tags by the information Ministry but it goes well for the country that there are indeed “reforms”

Syabas! Malaysiakini.

Malaysiakini portal carried a report http://www.malaysiakini.com/news/85742 Abdullah in his key note address to the “D8″ meeting said soaring prices of food and fuel could spark widespread political unrest. Furthermore he also mentioned that the inflation crisis which has erupted has sparked a global recession and the only way seems to avert conflict is to boost food production. Industrialization back to Agriculture..Why not..?

To us, the concept is good, the vision exemplanary but the implementation process yet to be desired. They always say,‘when there is no vision the people perish.” We all asks for action now and after the GE of March 8th there has been too much politiking amongst both sides of the house while the fundamentals of livelihood and realities of life are not checked.

To top up my day a SC member and a divisional chief of PRS said that,” She regrets being involved in politics and it has got so messy and that we should just get on with our lives.” Economy first and then Politics echoed a business entrepreneur who intends to hedged his challenge against the BN if the situation worsens. “Pakatan or BN“.. ?.He firmly believes that agriculture is the way onwards. The stomach is “empty the people will be angry” he added.

An Umno member from Sarawak echoed that with the vast lands Sarawak has, the country should be blessed. We will be able to overcome the food shortages and oil hikes. Our hopes and aspirations are clearly identified and the PM will ensure these “reforms” are implemented with the help of all his Cabinet and Ministers. The rural community will push this new economic frontier forward and all planned rural projects are to be implemented and any delays will do the country no good. The agricultural lands will be more than gold dusts to all of us in the future. The rural development ministry will be a focal point for this New Malaysia Vision.

Abdullah though was quick to point out that converting agricultural land to the production of biofuels, will worsen the global food shortage and drive up prices. When our leaders speak in front of the worldstage it must be taken seriously and the “Captains of Industries/Agricultural reformists” should start putting their thinking heads on and get on with the job. We plan,we conceptualise,we visualise but above all we must ”just do it” (Nike slogan). It goes without saying the rakyats hopes are ,”On you depends tomorrow.”
